OK you dont set your clocks at the miner...you set them in the ethos config file (remote.conf or local.conf) You set them using cor and mem config lines. There is no reason to set them at the miner Ethos will handle setting them. So if you want 1150 on the mem clock... mem (rig id) 1150 1150 1150 1200 The above line would set gpu0 to 1150 gpu1 to 1150 gpu2 to 1150 and gpu3 to 1200 And yes ETHOS is very reliable. Not updated since 10/9/2018 and still running like a champ with all the modern miners.  |

I recently built a 1660 Super rig and tried to resurrect an Ethos 1.3.1 system. According to the blog for sling00, there is an update capable by using the command: 'sudo install-nv-beta' that is supposed to update the drivers to version 430.26. But I get a coding error everytime I do it. I suspect that the libraries are no longer present since it appears that ethos has been sunsetted. Does anyone know if this update can still be performed manually? I'd love to get off W10. Ethos is so much better.

try to update your etho to the lastest version As stated update to 1.3.3 the look here from the lead dev https://sling00.com/1660 is listed as needing that update: sudo install-nv-beta hope it helps |

Im still running it no issues.... been able to update miners to every current version no issue. If you are looking for a mining OS...i would not recommend this as it is getting long in the tooth...but if you already own licenses it works great as it always did. Super stable. Just no longer being updated but has a script that will install all popular miners current versions. If you are looking to getting a mining OS now i would highly recommend mmpOS https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5088988.0Ive got several newer rigs on it and love it. |

Whats causing you trouble? Ive had no real problems have had to move a few off claymore due to not all cards firing. Loaded up Phoenix (5.1c) works fine with my rx5xx cards andven my vegas(will be moving those to a new rig with 5700xts)....just curios. because ive not had any issues with the drivers. Just curious. My plan is to keep ethos going as long as i can....its been a real workhorse. And its all paid for. |

ETHOS IS BUILT ON UBUNTU 14.04-- The Linux kernel in ethOS needs to be updated in order to install a more recent AMD graphics driver. The system was abandoned rather than upgraded to a current Linux kernel. --scryptr does anyone know:
1) how to see the current driver version on ETHOS 1.3.3
2) how to upgrade/downgrade the AMD drivers

I thought it was 16.04... Yikes...you are correct (well why wouldnt you be)....just checked 14.04 Either way it only works with older cards. i run 5xx/10xx cards on my ethos rigs. More modern cards are in mmpOS rigs as well as vegas cause i get 50+mhs on my vegas with mmpOS. Ill run ethos until the cards wont mine....those rigs are well roi’d. There was prelim support to 20xx but never worked well. Ethos has been as solid as one could ever hope. And still running the most recent miners thanks to the miner-manager script. For the 60 licenses i own..i got my moneys worth no doubt. The buisness model didnt afford income over time...but did sell really well. Probably the best eth mining system of the day. Still run almost 30 rigs in ethos. It still works great for what it works with. For newest series cards ... it doesnt have support. What was great (and bad for ethos) was the pay once use forever on that rig model. Certainly got my moneys woth over last 5+ years of running it. Super solid. But for new rigs i run mmpOS..
