- it is easily susceptible to hostile takeover. A rogue third party only needs to take control over 11 witnesses which is rather easy at government/court/police gunpoint
- for that reason the entire system can be shut down at any time
You don't need to trust witnesses since you can check by yourself that they behave honestly. You forgot that a witness that feels threatened can transfer its duty to another entity in a matters of minutes using an address definition change. You forgot that users can decide which witnesses to use and revoke any witness that would be compromized. |

Byteball provides a layer for businesses that want or need to check ID or email. These distribution rewards intend to promote this feature. It's completely optional, you can still participe to other kinds of distribution that don't require any check. |

If someone can give me any idea about what contest to organize, I can also promote byteball in India (as I am in India for next few months) amongst students aging around 18- 25. I can easily promote it to around 1k people in a live event and around 10k + students from Indian universities in Online events.

Great to see recent appreciation in bytebal price. It has risen about 10% in 24 hours in its btc value and 14% in USD value.
Any ideas what is affecting this appreciation? At the same time I also feel Steem rising at an even faster rate. I am always so confused about bytebal or Steem, Steem seems to be the reliance option always.
It maybe due to positive impacts of Bitcoin rallies and of Byteball signature campaign. Anyway, congratulations to Byteball community for the dramatic recovery during the last 24 hours. There is a contest organized in a Venezuelan university where students are invited to find solutions for their local issues by using Byteball platform. Along with this, students can attest their emails and get a reward, so far 3000 students have installed the wallet and attested email, so it's quite a success. There is also an attestation and referral program for Reddit users in preparation. These news are not a secret if you follow Slack and Github, some may have invested before they spread out. |

Your computer has to be online to receive and send back work units. The payout in bytes is proportional to the computional power you give. BOINC is an open source software that has been existing for 16 years, WCG is 14 years old and is backed by IBM. Those softwares are legit, your computer is safe. |
