after the queue we need to pay and this is the most risky part. what guarantee do you have that it will be delivered in September 2013? what make you so sure you will not end up liked butterfly? You are not showing Jupiter or Saturn Asic Mining hardware prototype, but expect us to make payment? Mars FPGA Prototype is for Mars FPGA Mining sales, not for Jupiter or Saturn because this are ASIC Devices and you even claim of a 28nm asic chip.

The main reason we can maintain our deadlines is that we are using ORSoC who have been producing devices based on FPGA's and various types of ASIC's for over 10 years. our main competition are new to FPGA and ASIC devices, ORSoC are not new. we specifically chose them as a partner so we don't suffer the same issues that have plagued our competitors.

Having said that, if you want to wait to pay until after you have seen a fully working prototype of Jupiter you are more than welcome to do so.

Hi all

Ok let me try and clear up some confusion,

1, Mars photo.
The picture is indeed half of a Mars device so you can see inside. If I published a photo of the full device all you would see was a 240mm fan, it would be worth less as a photo. The full device has 48 chips in. I will post more photos of the full 48 chips later and it will appear in the video as 48 chips. The people attending the open day will be able to see all 48 chips working etc etc.

2, Queue position.
You do not have to buy a Mars to ensure that you get a Jupiter in the first few days. Our current pre order queue is sequential including all devices. So all queue positions are unique. The example I gave in the email reply was that if you have position 10 for Mars we hold position 10 open in the Jupiter queue for 30 days.  This is where its possibly my fault, I failed to mention in my reply to that email that if someone simply ordered Jupiter in front of you they have position 9 (since all pre order queue numbers are unique) That will mean they get the devices they ordered before the person upgrading who had position 10.

I hope this makes those two points clear.

Hi all,

This topic has been created especially for the Mars open day.

We have some pictures for you to look at as all parts are in the building
below is one the Mars blades with heat sinks mounted.

Then we have one without heat sinks mounted so you can see the chips.

Please note there are 8 of these blades in one Mars rig all exactly the same. We have some final coding that we must finish before we can run these at full speed. We expect this to be finished in the next day or so.

So many people have expressed interest in attending our open day, meet our team and see this product in action, so we will need to take people in separate shifts.
We would therefore like to invite people to either a morning session at 10:00am or and afternoon session at 14:00. For now we don't want to commit to an exact day as we need to be 100% sure the code is running as expected so you can see the demo of the product working at full speed.

We will use this thread to announce the exact date. We know people need quite a few days to book travel which means we will give at least 5 days notice.

Thanks

KnCMiner team

Hi All.

It has been a while since I replied I know.
What I can say is that we ARE listening to the feedback you're all making via email/Facebook/twitter and of course here on the forum. There are some very interesting ideas floating around. We are taking note as we need to produce a product that our customers can actually use.

So we will look at producing other types of devices etc.

Sam, you are gonna face competition .. Avalon DIY and other wannabees coming along. Some Avalon DIY guys are buying bulk of Avalon Chips
to make clones of the Avalon Miner for re-sell.. very smart..

Thanks Dan we actually want to see all types of legitimate competition in the market. That puts pressure on all parties involved and should put a stop to companies treating the customers as badly as they have been treated in the past.

We are up for the challenge I can assure you all of that.

Thanks

Sam

KNCminer, I have a question I was hoping you could answer: I signed up for the initial 1-500 preorder, and received a confirmation email with order number, and everything seems OK so far. I have seen you say that people should register at your site to receive further information about the preorders, but I have not done this, I only filled out the preorder form and placed the order. Am I still OK to receive this information or is it mandatory to sign up on the site? With all due respect I would rather not sign up if there is no reason for it. The information provided in the preorder form should be enough. Please advise if I need to sign up on the site for my order to be valid.

Interested in the response to this, was wondering the exact same thing.

Hi again all,

There has been a lot of talk in this forum thread and we simply don't have time to reply to every post (we are quite busy) but this one seemed genuine enough and I thought needed clarification.

On our site www.kncminer.com there are a few ways to get on the mailing list, The first one is to register for a pre-order and tick the box for the mailing list, The second is to add your address to the mailing list only.

Either way you will receive the same information. The only difference is that the pre-order registrants have a place in the queue when we launch the products. (which they don't have to use, as anyone can just not progress their registration to a full order and give up their queue place if they so wish)

I hope this helps anyone who is confused. We will try to make these things clearer in the future.

All,

First I know it’s been a few days since we posted. We have been very busy.

Since a lot of the issues which have been raised are around the qualifications and background of Me and Andreas, I would like to assure everyone that we know our limits and after a long discussion with our hardware partner they are happy to announce their involvement in this venture.

We have made an announcement on our site and you can expect one to be made on their site to match shortly. We would ask that you still direct all questions to kncminer and not to ORSoC directly.

For now we are still not releasing the technical details of our product range but they will be made available soon

more info can be found here

Ok let me clarify the following:

"We have a site called www.hitta.se you will find us both on there,"

There is a Swedish site called hitta.se (we don’t own it), but you can search for our company name.

Best regards

Andreas

I will try to clear up some things and confirm others.

and no I don't expect this will stop the digging Smiley

I think there is no longer any doubt that Me (Sam Cole) and (Andreas Kennemar) are not a fake company.
The company details (for free) and even our financial reports  are available from the Swedish government (contact them don't accept our word for it)

http://bolagsverket.se/

I would like to say thank you for helping me identify the spelling mistake on my page. (I have now corrected it)

Yes it was me who used to live in Switzerland.

We did contact the Russian based software development company, here is their English software page

http://www.advantshop.com/

Its good software and we like it.

Yes the question still remains about what we will actually offer and I understand that.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 10, 2013, 05:13:55 AM
Hashing demonstrations could be faked since all you really had to do was get hold of a few Avalons and hide them somewhere ;P

Id happily preorder if I could come pay for it in person on pickup (hey it's like 2h by train :p) or pay for it at delivery, if you expect deposits for preorders then you will have to provide some impressive proof that your product is real.

I'm hoping you are real, even wishing it! Can't say I'm looking forward paying import tax for my BFL/Avalon orders and having an ASIC company so close to home would be awesome.

What I can say is that we will never be able to convince 100% of the people. We understand that.

If I ship 5 units to 5 forum members and they all say it works. I still don’t believe 100% of the previously burnt users would trust any (personally to them) anonymous forum member.
But sure it might increase our trust and we are looking into it.

A better option for us might be to pay the cost of 5 flights and 5 hotels, to 5 forum members and bring you all over to Stockholm Sweden. Have a look at our devices. You can then pay in person for the device which you would be able to take home with you.

If that’s what we have to pay and that results in 1000 More sales. It is a business case and a PR exercise I will be willing to look more into.

I can say today that we will make public all of the evidence we think is both fair and reasonable. Mass shipment is the best evidence I can think of. That will mean hundreds of people with evidence of working boxes.
I whole heartedly agree that everyone should wait until they are comfortable of buying from an international seller. I say this to everyone. Do not order until you have seen the evidence that makes you content. If waiting until we have items in stock and out in the market is what makes you content. Then register on our site for the 500+ list and simply don’t complete your preorder until you are happy.

kncminer maybe answer our questions?

Hi All,

We have been busy which is why you have not heard from us, I will try to answer some quick questions.

First the PayPal vs BTC question.

   We will accept both!

Second hardware spec’s

You are all correct we will publish stats on working prototypes with clear and unquestionable evidence (Video/ photograph/youtube/ newspaper reviews/personal checks) that we have working products. We will first publish this to the people who have registered on our site. They and only they (who have registered before publication date) will be given the ability to complete their preorders. Devices will then ship in the weeks after as they are made tested and sent.

For other questions and ones that I have failed to answer form the forum

We have started to add an FAQ to our site. We will build on that with the repeat questions we receive.  If I have not returned a personal response to your question look at our site first If you have a genuine question (we do get quite a few which are very strange) we will do our best to either publish the answer on our FAQ or reply to you directly

The phone number is ours. But it was previously held by the company you mentioned. Unfortunately the information of the old owner is widely spread and we dont have control over all sites keeping old data.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 08, 2013, 06:20:50 PM
Yes thats right, we have not setup the bitcoin payment function yet. It will be released to the website later this week. Note: It will not be possible to make any payment before the ordering opens.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 08, 2013, 05:48:32 PM
Will you sell just the ASICs?
So far Avalon is the only one stating they will sell their chips to 3rd party.

You could sell them at a premium and it would be extremely beneficial to Bitcoin to
open up hardware development to 3rd parties. Please consider.

nothing is off of the table yet  and yes we could consider it.

I'd like to believe I have a reputation here by now. For example heres me refusing to hold the money for one of the largest bounty's on these forums to date: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=94317.msg1053012#msg1053012

yes you are a hero member I see. I was not trying to say people don't trust you at all. Just offer up another idea of how we can possibly make it even more public
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 08, 2013, 05:19:09 PM
Hi everybody,

We are Swedish miners that are producing our own ASIC miners to strengthen the market and avoid monopoly.
Our company kncminer is pleased to announce the opening of a brand new web shop dedicated to the online sale of Bitcoin hardware to the international community, www.kncminer.com.

A lot of scam sites are appearing every day and we are not one of them, therefore we will not take any orders and are only registering interest.

We will in the upcoming weeks opening our order book to allow the purchase of our first set of ASIC miners. They are in the early stages of development now and will be ready in the summer of 2013 (yes in just a few months)
Register an account now it’s completely free and if you subscribe to our newsletter we will alert you the moment we open the order books for entry and other information around the ASIC products.
If you have any questions we will be happy to answer them.

Happy mining

Finally, a company I can trust. Please send me your address so that I come by and suck your ***

This post may or may not be edited after I read the rest of the thread. It better be funny, or I'll be pissed.

Im intrested to know what you think, please feel free read back and post any questions that have not been covered

Very interested.
Very skeptical.
Very hopeful.

Will watch closely.
This. I did register an order but I will need much more information before I will commit as I'm sure many here will too. Best of luck to you kncminer but the community has been burned before. We're going to need solid proof.

We know and we will provide it before we take any money from people. We are not trying to hide here like some (I dont even want to provide the link to the gx page to give them more google hits)

Thanks

Im willing to fly over with a camera, possibly even with 24h notice, when you have something to show and to sell.

But then only you would know we are legit, I would suggest some sort of live webcast /online meeting so everyone can join interact and see what we are up to

and it would save you the flight Smiley
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 08, 2013, 04:28:31 PM

Simple answer

We use www.shutterstock.com like lots of others, search that site for ASIC And you will come up with that photo.

and yes that means we pay for our images Smiley

Just so you know, your store doesn't seem to handle passwords very well. I use random passwords that are not all alpha-numeric. It accepts the password when registering, but then rejects it on logging in. I ended up using one that had no ()[] or {} in it and it seems to work.

Thanks I will pass that feedback onto the right people
