It's great, baritus!
I haven't got a glitch and now we have something to talk about with normal people!
Ingenious Smiley

ADD: people won't want to install a wallet, add info how to open an account online (at cryptsy for ex) to FAQ

ADD 2: I clicked one ad and watched the page until the progress bar filled, but seems like didn't got any DGC for it

I'm interested about their hosting services. It'll depend on their price.

If the hosting price is better than paying for shipping, a PSU, and monthly electric cost, then I'll probably go for it. The deciding factor will be electricity. Swedish prices are higher, but maybe wholesale prices are available, I don't know.

So for now I picked Stockholm pickup, and pay for shipping later if I don't like the hosting offer. (And in the meanwhile really hope that this will be my biggest worry about this investment.)

Just after a very short time running a ASIC will be profitable with free electricity only.

Hosting with some quick and dirty math is 300-400Euro per unit, per month.

What did you base this assumption on. Just asking, because colocation of a "normal" server at e.g. Pionen datacenter in Sweden is priced about 70+ Euro a month.

If the difficulty continue to rise - and that's the main goal of KNCMiner - there won't be any spare 50$ to shed on hosting

Did anyone think about KNCMiner offering to host ASICs for you? What I mean it sounds like a very bad business judgment to me. After all they themselves create the production of unlimited number of powerful ASICs and after little time running a ASIC will only be profitable with low electricity cost and management fees.

But they talk about Tier 3 datacenters and such. So they gonna pursue this endeavor just to find out later that running ASICs is barely profitable  and whoever runs it does it at home.

Initially I thought it was to avoid VAT, but now it turns out you pay VAT anyway if you leave the device with them. Yet they're a small company and cannot spread the energy across many different things.

...  Anyone have any idea who the chip provider is for kNC?

I gather they do the chips themselves

I like the spirit of DigitalCoin community not to point fingers and take up the load.
I also think BigVern just got buried with things.

New P2Pool node!

This one is on the East coast of America:

Stratum
stratum+tcp://23.23.115.26:8810

Getwork
http://23.23.115.26:8810/

Stats:
http://23.23.115.26:8810/

Testing combined hashing power between p2pools!
The entire hashing power between connected pools(nodes) will work as one giant pool.

Thinking about bring up an EU node to add to the combined pool.

Please provide feedback Smiley

Very cool... switch to the East Coast node and it maintained my PPLNS rate! Both Nodes are showing payouts for every miner. Heh, heh...liking it so far.

Please connect to one of the nodes to test it out...thanks!

I'll throw some power at it later today. What's your current combined hashrate?
Will other p2pool owners change their settings to connect the pools together?

DGC looks to be growing extremely fast, wonder if it can replace Litecoin as the Number 2?

easy

I'm not able to live up to be scammed so I'm out I guess.

So basically your whole rant (whinge) was for nothing. You wouldn't have had the balls anyway in the first place to make a payment even if you had a position in the 1-500 slots.

ROFL.

You sir are the bitch of the day for today.

That's total bullshit. I have the balls to even pay for my > 500 order if the rules are set straight and I'm not donating my money for nothing.

You seem not to have understood what you just referred to.

It seems pretty clear that until they know which golden slots are actually paying within the seven day window they won't know which of them will actually still exist to be ahead of the ordered by actual payment non-golden folk like me and, maybe, one of these years, if you like what we all get, and still want some once we all got some, you...

-MarkM-

Nope. I placed the non-golden order and have 7 days to pay. So the placement is not done by the payment date.

Ahhhh! That I did not know!

So you propose that we toss a coin to decide whether you should give me your spot, being as how I paid and you have not yet?

Or you propose you should yield your spot to me?

-MarkM-

That's what I refer to as mess and unfairness. Seems like they spin the process as they like, there are no rules.
