i know, i made that easier one , for the simple man Smiley
You sir are a legend. I've managed to get it up near 30MH now, however, I am uncertain about how many GPU Memory Errors means it's unstable, at about 5 min it's had about 1000 errors, but I have not gotten any warning from the miner yet

They mean you need to click on the "Strap 1500 to upper" button, and the magic is done for you automatically.

Oh thank you, the editor below was the one I was using, but this one looks much easier to use

here is a editor

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1882656.0

copy the 1500 straps and set the default memory frequency, make other changes as you please.
When you say 1500 is that 1:1500 -> 1:1650, 1750, 2000 or 2:1500, 1650, 1750, 2000 or is it both 1: and 2: ?
People keep saying 1500 but I'm not certain what one they mean by that
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you use dual PSU? on: May 02, 2017, 05:06:43 AM

Thanks for the link, that looks like a good option, however I'm a little unsure if 1200W is enough to power 7 570's (my country ran out of 470's :/) at the optimal efficiency load
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Anyone used the Bitmain APW3+ for powering GPU's? on: May 01, 2017, 10:34:43 PM
I was having a look on ebay for server PSU's but a lot of them are of questionable quality and very expensive international shipping, so I was considering using the one from Bitmain.
I know it'll probably be fine to use but wanted to check if anyone's had any issues with it.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Using an old Dell Optiplex to mine with on: April 29, 2017, 05:31:36 AM
Hey guys, so im looking at buying some old Dell Optiplexes to run my GPU mining setup. I was just wondering if this is legit thing?
From what I can tell they have 3 PCI-E slots each which and turns about half the price per slot than if I did a 7 slot Mobo + CPU

Is there anything about the old BIOS on them that might stop me from being able to mod the GPU's?
Anything else I should be aware of using old tech like this to mine?

If you want to dual PSU, there is a thread before.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1887004.0

Thanks for the heads up, I think im gonna take a look on the advise of someones comment in there, get a cheapo one for the motherboard then a Server PSU for the GPU's
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many of you use dual PSU? on: April 28, 2017, 10:43:56 AM
I have hundreds of altcoin rigs running 2-3 PSUs.....there is no reason not to especially since you can power the graphics cards off of higher end server power supplies at a fraction of the cost of an expensive ATX supply.

You can buy a cheap no name brand ATX psu to power the board and run a high quality PSU on the graphics cards.
I'm thinking of applying this to my build, but I'm not really familiar with Server PSU's .
The rig I'm doing is going to include 7 RX470's; will most PSU's around the 1200W work with this many GPU's? At a guess i'd say I'd need to do some electrical work on it to connect up the PCI-E plugs
I've been looking through ebay and found this one which might work?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPERMICRO-PWS-1K41P-1R-1400-WATT-POWER-SUPPLY-USED-/332136930789?hash=item4d54e75de5:g:RiIAAOSwTuJYpMUZ

If there's somewhere else I should be looking, do let me know

I think you should update your PSU. PSU is very importance Smiley

Right now I'm sitting on the 2x 750W Gold PSU's do you not think this will be suitable? What would you suggest in their place?

The motherboard seems like an overkill to me.

Feel free to suggest a cheaper 7 slot one if you got one in mind, only requirement if it's off amazon is that it needs to be internationally shipped

You can also use 2 700W PSU's and join them together using an Add2PSU connector or something?

Just make sure that the PSU's have a total number of connections that you need, but it can workout cheaper doing it this way.

Ohh I didn't think about that, thanks for the heads up. With the new PSU setup I've got  a slightly revise list now
I'll have to wire up the 2 PSU's myself since you cant ship the Add2PSU to my NZ and I don't think they sell anything similar here

Hey guys, so im looking at buying my first mining rig and just wanted someone to review it.
Two things im uncertain about:
-1000W PSU is going to be enough to power the 7 470s' but if not then I can grab the 1200W one
-What brand memory the cards have, the website says "Manufacturer Part No: 11256-01-20G" but that's not like the P/N's i've seen around explaining what brand it is, like (A1637)

Other things to note ust note:
-Those prices are in NZD sorry
-I've just got the one GPU there but planning on buying 7 in total since that's what the board can handle

No 1000w psu isn't enough for 7 gpus , only the cards without other system components will draw 7*120=840w, and you can't load any psu with more than 80% (we still don't count other system components) even if this psu is a quality one ,i recommend any psu equal or more than 1200w, 1300w to be on the safe side.

Well in that case I'm thinking about the HX 1200i since that's only another 50$ more https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U6GTONM/ref=twister_B06ZY6DMNM?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
Can't find any 1300W ones and don't really want to go up to 1600W either
