41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: CENTRA CTR SCAM - Founders Arrested on: August 21, 2022, 10:04:31 PM
I was also hit by a scam from Centra, at that time I invest around $ 3500, the thing that made me very optimistic about Centra was that they made Floyd Myweather Jr. As an ambasador brand, Centra is increasingly popular because Floyd Myweather competes with Conor MC. Gregor which makes me more optimistic, unfortunately it is proven that Centra is a scam

I still hold 50k CTR and failed to sell them.  I have high hope for this one before it was labeled a scam and the founders were found guilty and put behind bars.  Floyd Mayweather Jr. played a huge part in why I trusted this project because he appears on social media promoting and holding a CTR card.
that's so sad dude you lose your assets , and personally i will also be my lesson to care about public figure endorse in crypto project. as i know almost all crypto project that endorse public fgure end at scam . this is be special note for us ofcourse , dont trapped in popular opinion from figure, maybe our own analissys better.

It was a hot project at that time.  And the eligibility of the project were never questioned until the SEC comes in and questioned the integrity of their offered visa card.  Then from that point, the whole fraud is exposed and the founders were arrested, Mayweather was fined for promoting the fake Visa of CTR.  I was busy with other altcoins at that time and failed to update myself about the CTR case. Well, I agree, that is a lesson to be learned.

Incredible! In my opinion, celebrities who aid scammers knowingly should face the maximum wrath of the law. A fine looks cheap. So many people lost a great deal of money back then. It even had a negative effect on trusting crypto investments.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) Pump Once Again Indicates Collapse of Crypto Market ! on: August 21, 2022, 09:53:48 PM
I think there are 2 indicators, the first is that cryptocurrency will dump, and the second is that it will pump, not just dump,
do you remember how Doge experienced a high increase in 2021? yes it also indicates that the market is excited,
and after that other altcoins also pump, so it's not just about dumps.
I can't understand how you guys keep connecting the dots and find correlated values that can be used to predict next trend.
Doge pump can be independently controlled by big whales who wanna fool small traders and take their coins.  Top cryptocurrencies especially Eth can be used as indicator for altcoins,  the alternative options are not reliable,  IMHO.

You are right. Let me add the fact that dogecoin future could be predictable and from my own perspective looks good. From all indications, it should bounce back to have greater value than what was recorded in 2021.
43  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market Cap Records New Two Month High; Is Correction Over? on: August 14, 2022, 11:45:49 AM
Marketcap is affected by total coins and tokens on the market and their contributing marketcap to the total marketcap of a whole cryptocurrency market.

You can not stop developers to create more coins and add more marketcap to the market. This is not a good thing to consider what is current market status, bearish or bullish.

Is the correction over? I believe not yet. Maybe the correction will not go below $20,000 but the correction may become sideways above $20,000 starting now. We may see a lot of volatility or dumps in just a short period of time or some red candle wicks.
With a lot of good news on cryptocurrency right now, fundamentals. It's a very good sign that we become more stable and price action is slowly rising again to have a healthy market.
Market is still in bearish time and last few weeks, it has a good rally but bear market has yet been over.

It will go next with a long time of accumulation. During accumulation time, there will be some ups and downs and even crashes to kill leveraged gamblers.

If u ask me, I would definitely say bullish on short term investments. For long term investments, it remains neutral. Next week would determine if the correction is over. The pattern is not clear as price keeps testing various resistance and support levels.
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to buy or wait a little bit ? on: August 14, 2022, 07:36:34 AM
everyone has different ways to buy crypto, but indeed if we are going to buy crypto and wait for the crypto price at the bottom, it is indeed very difficult, because market conditions are difficult to predict and analyze, so we must be smart to manage money and buy carefully , and must use a good buying strategy.
Bitcoin is heading to $28k this month, if your mind wants to still wait for another bitcoin dump,
I'm sure bitcoin won't go down, because it's already happened and that's the story that many people still believe in.

the market is recovering and the $28k target will most likely be reached this month, but that doesn't mean it won't drop after that
there's no way we're sure we've ended bear season, I don't think it's going to end that short

not to mention the ongoing war situation causing many crises in terms of energy and necessities is not completely over yet so don't be sure of anything too soon

You are right. The market is recovering. Any moment from now , I expect huge volatility of the market. bitcoin price should have broken the  $25k mark. Perhaps a deeper correction is around the corner. From my level of experience,we should keep our fingers crossed. Bitcoin is somehow equivalent to gold. I believe the worst price of bitcoin this year has already been achieved.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: MY DAILY BITCOIN TRADING SIGNALS on: August 10, 2022, 09:51:19 PM
SIGNAL: 10/08/2022

Trend: Range

Buy at 22945

Stop loss at 22658

Take profit at 23268

Good luck!

Result: Success (target hit)

Wow. This is new and I commend you for all your efforts. However, you are not taking into consideration risk management/money management. You have a 50/50 or 1:1 ratio between stop loss and take profit using the entry point as the reference point. This is quite poor. Your money account can be depleted if you use this method over a long period.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predicts Bitcoin price by 2025 on: August 10, 2022, 09:24:55 PM
In the long run, I don't know how much bitcoin will cost. Most likely what some experts predict that in 2025 the price of bitcoin will reach $100k or more is possible. It's better for the short term like now it will be better for us to collect bitcoins while the price is still low so that later we don't lose momentum when bitcoin prices experience a significant price increase or set a new ATH record again.

$100,000 is just to much. Everyone knows the implications of inflation. So In my opinion, Bitcoin cannot reach that price. I guess it would be similar to current price now around $40,000 or less in January, 2025. Bitcoin awareness is everywhere and there are are currently so many people trying to invest in it. That is definitely going to affect price action. Demand and supply equilibrium must hold
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone bought Bitcoin/altcoins already? on: July 26, 2022, 10:24:35 PM
The last 2 days are a good opportunity to buy, looking at the market trend in July I'm optimistic that tomorrow the day after tomorrow will be green again, I plan to buy btc and 3 altcoins for around $350 and I'm sure it's easier to get profit at this moment.
No complain that is supposed to the given as excuse not to buy Bitcoin right now. Because Bitcoin started gaining a bullish market so which I believe that anyway who purchase Bitcoin currently or doing this season cannot reject off buying and holding it for long time. Because the more you buy now the price is low is of benefit

Bitcoin $20,000 support level must hold in other for a new test on the $25000 resistance level. I think that's why some prominent people in crypto sold their coins hoping to buy it back if this level will not fail. So far so good. After several bearish attempts, this level is not yet broken so I'm optimistic that the bullish continuation trend will break the current minor bearish pattern
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins is a good way to keep and save money or not? on: July 26, 2022, 10:08:19 PM
What do you think about stablecoins, some scandals around them and their future? It is interesting to hear the opinion of the members of bitcointalk

I am of the opinion that stable coin is a better way of saving money in the current downward trend of major cryptocurrency such as bitcoin... Some people may not admit it but the fact remains that many people lost money with the current price of bitcoin, ethereum etc. Nobody wants to lose his/her money value in crypto for any reason so it's better to save it in a good/ reliable stable coin for now.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: July 06, 2022, 06:01:55 PM
Can I have a precise and constructive answer on whether trading is really worth spending time on? My brother wants to do this job for a living, and I'm just curious if it's a dignified, worth-spending occupation. I don't know where to ask, I don't understand technical analysis; when he explains it to me I feel it's some sort of gambling strategy.

I've used to read experts' discussions, papers, books and the like, but I find no such stuff on trading. It's a very vague term anyway. Are there really people who just "buy low and sell high", making a living by just doing that? I can't comprehend how can a person seriously make a living by something that looks complete gambling, instead of providing goods, services, work etc.

Hello BlackHatCoiner],
Yes! Trading is worth it. There is a big difference between trading and gambling. When you trade with a strategy, the probability of success increase. Since the probability of success is not equal to 1 in trading, some people regard it as gambling. However, if you monitor the market, do your analysis with expert advisory coupled with good technical indicators/ oscillators, you will discover that trading is not gambling. Since it is not gambling, then getting the right tools to trade and making research, learning and adapting to trends and volatility of the market is worth learning. For beginners, it is advisable to learn with just one currency pair. Then when you get use to it, you could shift to others. Trading is worth learning.
50  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed for 25$ on: July 03, 2022, 12:04:32 PM
@ DireWolfM14

What on Earth is wrong with you. A user just got scammed, warned others about a potential/regular scammer and you are discouraging him from exercising his civic responsibility by alerting others.

If people listen to this your particular advice, only you will remain in bitcointalk forum after driving others away. U should be ashamed of yourself!!!
Don't pay attention to him, he constantly writes all sorts of nonsense and bothers other users, and also stalks them

Imagine!  Don't digress from the topic. A guy was scammed$25 and you are disregarding him. Instead, you find faults in him and others helping him
51  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: July 02, 2022, 03:27:11 PM
I think the question should be "is gambling bot profitable?". My answer is no because betting strategy that uses a system does not make us a winner, instead, it will only make our betting activities faster, and if we are unlucky, that means it will easily consume our bankroll.

Profitability is base on your skills, and of course, you have to choose a game, a game that can be win based on skills not on luck alone.

I agree, most of the bots I saw doesn't give you assurance that you will win consistently by using them. You will spend more rather than earning. Bots can't cheat the algorithm of the game because it is made so that cheats will not be used to it, don't waste your time and effort to bots but instead make your own strategy and gameplay in gambling.

There is a popular saying "If the only tool you have is a hammer, all your problems will look like a nail"
From my own observation, I discovered that if you only use the strategy known by others, you will eventually make losses or gain the same way others did. Consequently, with these boys and new innovative strategy, you can make profit. But I'm yet to use it again. I tried it once with other people strategy and loss woefully!!

Well, I'm not ashamed of myself, and you're not going to do or say anything that will change that.  If you had done your research before condemning me you'd know there are no innocents in these shady deals for hacked digital goods.  You might also learn that I tried to help prevent these types of scams in the past, only to be harassed and spammed with scam attempts myself.

If the OP wants to keep dealing in stolen and hacked digital goods, even after being scammed multiple times he's either too stupid to learn his lesson, or too greedy to resist the bait.

You have a point. But that doesn't mean you should scare him away because he keeps making mistakes. You treat every case differently even if it has happened before. I once had a habit of buying cheap clothes until I discovered that it doesn't last longer than original ones. I learnt the hard way. But I also trusted people who sold it to me believing they were authentic.

Most people will patronize the underdog/local dealer compared to using the official store. It is everywhere.

Or are you trying to disdain SMEs, local products/dealers, freelancers or  retailers/ web developers here in bitcointalk?

Good find, I had no idea the OP has made a habit of this stupidity.  It's really not helping that he's specifically looking for shady deals, buying stolen, hacked, or cracked digital goods.  What the hell does the OP expect, that he's dealing with up-standing, honest, and legitimate sellers when he's making these kinds of deals?  Only a moron would continue these shenanigans after being scammed so many times.

@Amin.Rezaeian70, I take back what I said.  Maybe you should get the fuck out of here.  Without idiots like you around these petty scammers wouldn't get a single satoshi, and then they would leave too.

useless forum with no rules!
Just expanding Scams!

These excuse are the reasons that made this forum the best place for scammers!! Made this forum a useless forum!
<cut>
My recommendation to all: Stay Away From This Forum!

Anyone is going to do something about it in thin forum which is full of scammers?

You trusted a newbie account without any proven trade history. It's not the forum's fault that you keep making the same mistakes over and over again for years, and no one is forcing you to make such mistakes. It's important to learn from them.

I will not trust anyone from this piece of shet forum anymore!

It is up to you whether you find this forum useful, although nobody will miss you if you decide to leave.

I would miss him. Please don't leave the forum because of one bad egg.

Hello Amin.Rezaeian70 ,

Could you do us a favor and send the scammer a private message (PM) with this thread so that we could here his own side of the story. At least let him/her have the decency to defend himself.
If your accusation is true then his/her trust score should reduce so as to warn others of his scamming activities
55  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FAKE TESLA Coin ICO on: June 24, 2022, 12:10:04 AM
This scam is currently advertised in QUORA (it is not possible to report or tag!)
It seems like Quora have their own Ads platform where any one can create an ad account and start running his ad campaign as long as he pays for the clicks:
https://www.quora.com/How-do-Quora-ads-work-Who-can-advertise-What-are-the-pricing-plans
You are right there is no direct option (report button) to report such fake ads so the only option left is to contact their support via email.

You can report such advertisement in quora. I wonder why you didn't do such before making this post. Even if it is via the support email,  that would do
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 12:03:07 AM
True life Story.
A friend i know recently narrated to me how his business almost collapsed due to trust he had for another of his friends who he thought he was helping by recruiting him to manage one of his Retail outlets. He narrated how having put him in charge of that point started observing a decrease in the the profit from there intended for savings and reinvestment. He confronted him severally to know what the problem was, but his friend attributed it to being ill and needing drugs, until one faithful day when he ran into him in a betting shop during working hours betting on virtual football games, how disappointing!

Questions for discussion
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?
- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

Yes , Gamblers can hold financial position. Infact most reputable firms have one/ two personnel who will think outside the box with new ideas and take risk using various strategy so as to make profit. Checking various probability of success and failure is essential before going into a business. It's all gambling

In other to answer your second question, i will base my opinion on our societal norms. Everyone deserves a second chance. Even a problematic gambler. However, caution should be taken because when dining with the devil, make sure you have a long spoon. . You must ensure your assets are secure and not entrust him with full access to it.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin, Dogecoin Gain After Musk's Tweets, But Will There Be Another Bull Run? on: June 23, 2022, 11:42:07 PM
Dogecoin, which started as a meme currency but received a lot of support from the billionaire tycoon in the past few months also gained in value. But this positive trend in the cryptocurrency market is no guarantee that it will see the bull run, which started at the beginning of this year, again so soon. At most, the value addition to the price of Bitcoin and other digital currencies over the past two days most likely seems temporary.

What are your thoughts about these 2 coins' future and is it possible that Musk will decide to the hype on something else also? Green coins are getting more popular. Why doesn't he mention any of them? Which one do you think needs such a kick?

Dogecoin is dealer than dead.  Elon tweets don't move the needle anymore its getting old.  If he can't push it forward than what will?  Doge is archaic and not needed in the ecosystem.  It's just another redundant coin that was copy/paste made in 15 minutes of work.  People just bag holding now.
We can say its trash but there are still people who do really still believing into its potential considering that it had made out some significant movement which made them some good profits or money on where i cant

really blame them on not to think for some cons or negatives.Just let them be on bagholding Doge for the rest of their lives, they are the ones who neither be  gaining or losing money or something situational.

People are becoming wiser as years passing by on which Elon words and sentiments wont really be that influential anymore yet we've seen on how he had handled out himself in the past.
It might had been effective in the past but not on the present.

Elon musk has too much influence on the coin. I think I'll buy more dogecoin when next he makes his famous positive tweet about the coin. Price movement due to his speculation is just too much

I wonder why people would choose to use a bot. I think the use of bot is allowed.
Can a bot steal BTC?

Yes. You need to check the source/ script code. (I don't know how to do this).

I'm not sure what the problem is with Dicebot. I did message seuntjie about it but I haven't heard back from him.
Is it forbidden to play with a bot?

I wonder why people would choose to use a bot. I think the use of bot is allowed. I checked online for dicebot and freebitco.in is currently listed as supported website. https://bot.seuntjie.com/

Im buying now good amount , seems bottom reached , BUT i will keep 50% in cash in case bitcoin goes down further .

Im planning to buy btc price around: 19500$ at the time of writting .

Its DONE !

keep 50% of my money in cash in case it goes more down and get good average to put orders like this :

25% @ 15,000$

25% at 11,000$

will have a good average price

Wise decision! Everyone is expecting a sudden retraction but bitcoin keeps failing on key support levels. Some indicators are already turning blue for a buy. Let's keep our fingers crossed and watch other fibonacci levels for support. I'm sure one will definitely hold
