401  Economy / Goods / [CLOSED] iPod Touch 64GB on: August 21, 2013, 08:08:08 PM
iPod Touch, 64GB, White, 4th Generation (30pin Adapter).

I originally bought this from Apple right before the release of the next generation to have a dedicated iPod for my car, turns out I kept using my iPhone instead (go figure), so it was used maybe for a few days.

The unit is 100% working condition, the screen is scratch free, the backside has some light scratches, not noticeable. It has been updated to the latest release of iOS.

Anyhow, looking to sell the iPod 64GB with a iPod Stand, 30-pin Connector, & charger.

Make an offer in BTC also willing to trade for USB Erupters, either post here or message me.
Shipping out of Florida, USA.  Would prefer not to ship internationally.

Thanks for your time.

thanks!!!!  Grin
wow! 350 mh/s it's a lot!

np, there are a few options you can use to tweak the mining, but it's not very well documented (unless it's been updated). I would check out the 'Help' area inside MacMiner, I think for the most part the options are similar to cgminer.
403  Other / Beginners & Help / Water cooling on USB Erupters? on: August 21, 2013, 04:29:09 PM
As it stands right now, I'm looking to get my hands on a couple of erupters to prototype some aluminium water blocks for, sounds like overkill, which I'm sure it is. However I've been entertaining the idea for awhile and I have all the tools necessary (and fabrication experience). Ideally one would want a stand alone system (radiator, 1 water block per erupter, tubing, connections, pump, etc..), made in such a fashion it would suit most USB hubs. I was initially going to start off with aluminium (since I have blocks of it sitting around) then go to copper if it was a successful gain.

The real question is, would it be worth it, if so, being cooled to X degree would yield better performance.

Anyone else have some input on the idea? Trying to decide if it's worth attempting at all, what everyone's over all opinion is on the idea.

(I would have posted this else where, but since I've decided to lurk the forums for awhile and not post, I still have newbie status... so hi, I'm a newbie, not really...)

I have a mid-2011 iMac 27", I was mining with it for awhile... it's not a horrible miner.

I've got the upgraded 2GB video card, usually I would let it mine while I was gone. I would recommend a few things if you wanted to go this route.

There's a program called MacMiner, it's a drag-drop-open app, then you put in the server info and start, works really well. It's probably not the ideal miner though, it does have some drawbacks, but it's the easiest to use on a Mac. Also, I have iStats (believe it's called), which allows me to change the fan settings from Auto -> Med -> High, when on High it keeps the GPU temps down to about 120F, Med is about 140-150F, Auto 175+F, so it's really nice to have the fans set to high when miner.

I was getting around 250-350mH/s (yea, big gap there...). I eventually just stopped using the machine to mine.
