would be fine with me, as long as there is not more fees between that and once/twice a day Smiley

I'm not charging you guys BTC transaction fees, since it's my responsibility to mitigate those.

oh, i see. thx for clearing that up.
as for payouts, are you ok on suggestions? mine would be two payouts a day, every 12 hours, expecially for higher-hash miners, as some of us i am guessing(me included) want to trade for a particular coin, like ltc, and theres always "best" times to do that. Smiley
otherwise, i am in this pool for the long run Wink

Do you want two payouts a day because you have a lot of hash power?

I was thinking this:

Whenever you reach 0.1 BTC, do a payout. Otherwise, as long as you reach 0.01, do a payout once a day.

Does that sound good? Is the 0.1 figure good?

only thing that is bothering me, is that there is constantly a large percent of holdings staying in the "Unexchanged Balance" and never seems to drop to 0.

It takes the exchanger a while to exchange some coins. The only way that would ever drop to zero is if everyone stops mining for a day. Maybe longer.

What part of the world are you in?  Asia?

No, I'm on the west coast. I just become nocturnal when I write code.

I'm getting a huge amount of discarded shares, example:
1 Hour Mining: 200 Accepted Shares, 800 discarded.
I have asked around with some experienced cgminer users and they all say it's most likely a pool issue.
h2odysee could you please have a look at the huge amount of discarded shares generated?

I'll check it out. Are you referring to the "Discarded work" figure, in the CGWatcher report? Or do you really mean discarded shares, which I believe is the "SS" figure in the top left of cgminer.

stats on main page are not updating about 3 hours. Hope problem is only in displaying stats

It wasn't the only problem. It had also halted trading. And it affected the new profitability calculation that takes volume into account. Volume since the page stopped updating wasn't taken into account.

It's been fixed.

And I'm going back to sleep.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 24, 2013, 09:50:40 AM
ive watched it and in the last 5-10mins its changed like 3-4 times  Shocked

Yeah, that's not ideal, since it takes a second (maybe 2) to switch. I need to either make switching more seamless, or make it switch less often.

The recent change I made to the profit calculation is making it switch more often, if two low volume coins are at the top, competing.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 24, 2013, 09:04:41 AM
Yeah, that would be perfect, Smiley. Can you update us when that has been made btw? Mostly curious so I can keep up with how things transition based on different changes.

Ok. Now when computing the price for determining what to mine, it looks at the buy orders, and my volume plus what the pool would produce in a minute.
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 24, 2013, 06:29:16 AM
This is what I'm hoping for... if the algorithm used is looking at sell prices there's an issue -- things are only worth what people are willing to pay.

Can we get some clarification on how this works with the pool?

When calculating which coin to mine, it looks at past trades. Not sell orders, or buy orders.

I see your point. I should make that change. Then I wouldn't really have to worry about trade volume being an issue.

so far i am making almost exactly the same as mining LTC, MY hashrate in stats shows about 1.5mh/sec lower. H20 are you supporting all coins? or only a few? For example Alpha, Franko, FastCoin, they seem to be at the top of the list always.

If you were supporting those coins, in the 12 hours i Mined I should of been at about $15 so far.

I am supporting all those coins. FST has been disabled for the last few hours because of performance reasons while I optimize the database. (Every time I would produce a report, it had a chance of disconnecting users).

During the time that I couldn't access the API, I had disabled a couple of low trade volume coins because I was concerned about having a large volume to trade.

Also, I don't have NVC set up yet, so we lost some money there. I guess with the current hash rate, it's worth turning on. If anyone has a NVC testnet node, let me know.

The cryptsy API is now working for me again.

Ouch... that sucks, =S. Have you already contacted them regarding it?

I've put in a support ticket
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 24, 2013, 02:25:43 AM
I've been tagged as a potential problem by cryptsy's anti-DDOS code. So I can't do automatic trading until I get that resolved.

Is this an issue that's been ongoing (ex. you've been doing trades manually) or something new?

This is new. Started a couple of hours ago. I assumed the API was down because of the cryptsy DDOS. But it looks like both my account, and Amazon, are being blocked.

The trades have been automatic.

Is there any plan on EU pool i bet EU users would pay more fee for it... i would

At some point, yeah. But not until I have everything working smoothly.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 23, 2013, 11:31:57 PM
Sorry about the disconnects guys. I think I've resolved it.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 23, 2013, 11:01:41 AM
Do i need to run any of these switches for your pool?

--no-submit-stale
-s 1 --expiry 1 --queue 0

I honestly don't know. When I played with those stats, I never saw any difference on anyone's pool.

Someone said that --no-submit-stale helps. But I think it also skews my stale stats, so I don't know if you guys are getting lots of stales.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 23, 2013, 10:43:50 AM
cool, if I change all my miners to a different address will that cause any issues regarding payments for the work already done?

You might have less than 0.01 BTC that gets "stuck", but that's the only issue.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 23, 2013, 10:39:08 AM
just a noob question, can my payout address be my BTC-E bitcoin address?

Yes.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: July 23, 2013, 09:56:26 AM
i got 3 payouts in last 12 hours. this is normal? may be better stay with 1 payout per day?

I've been doing more payouts, to test it out, making sure it's ready to be automatic.

But I was thinking I'd do 2 payouts a day. It doesn't really matter to me. Is lots of 0.01 BTC transactions burdensome?
