Read my mind, just had to restart the instance in interactive in order to watch an episode of HIMYM. But like you said its a thing that's just for convience.
Problem would be that is has to check if it should go (non)interactive constantly, slowing it down marginally.

2 questions:

1) I have a NVidia 660TI, all works fine. If I run it on a machine with NVidia GT 530, it gets overheated and shuts down. Is there a setting that the graphic card get's not that much heat?

2) when i run cudaminer after I played a game, it crashes (no error message). When I reboot the machine, cudaminer works fine again. Is there a way to "reset" the graphic cardf without rebooting? Or a setting for cudaminer to reset all graphic card settings maybe?
1) Try -i 1 (interactive) or -h 0 (single threaded CPU hashing)
2) Put pause in your .bat file (on a new line). If it says nothing, probably driver issue.

Allright, today I found two consecutive Yacoin blocks in a row.

Block 378923

Block 378924

to the Moon!

Just 160 or so more confirmations until they mature...
Well look at you Grin Congrats!

0 blocks for me under 15 hours @ 4,3 kH/s.
Either you're very unlucky or something is wrong Sad

With my 3.35 KH/s is it better to solo mining or mining in pool ?
From what I've read solo would be the way to go.

I must say YACoin works really well, already got my first block! Smiley
[2014-01-13 20:40:24] accepted: 1/1 (100.00%), 1.88 khash/s (yay!!!)
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 13, 2014, 06:05:03 PM
I am getting ~2.25khash/sec when autotune uses T9x2 on a GTX 780 3GB.
If I type gethashespersec in the console of YACoin wallet, it tells me 0, is that correct?
Using Windows 7, disabled the Aero theme.
Using 2518MB VRAM total, T10x2 or T20x1 seems to be slower and using more VRAM.
Am I doing it right?
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 13, 2014, 03:25:40 PM
Tried to compile, getting an error.
I get this: http://pastebin.com/sjTnwggK
Using Visual Studio 2010, precompiled libraries from Christian, Cuda 5.5.

Go to your Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin folder and rename or relocate cvtres.exe and do the same with another cvtres.exe under Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin\amd64, then run Visual Studio 2010 and try compiling.

If it doesn't work, just change everything back.
Works, thank you Smiley
Will try Scypt-Jane a bit later today.

Yes, interactive mode is on when i use my pc, but i change it off when i go to sleep.

But anyway, cudaminer is awesome!

Ps. if you know how to get more out of my card, tell me.. Smiley
You can use CPU hashing (-h 1), but that technically isn't getting more out of your card...
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 13, 2014, 10:37:38 AM
I'm pretty happy with the latest cudaminer.

I get 136 khash/s with my asus gtx 650 Ti 1gb and maxed out with gpu tweak 174 khash/s. I got win 8.1.

When i tried some other miner when i started mining at first it was like 60-70 khash/s but luckily i found cudaminer and best settings for it.

First i used auto tune couple of times and noe i use this: -H 0 -d 0 -i 1 -l K12x16 -m 1
I use interactive mode at daytime and disable it at nigth and my pc i still some how usable in non-interactive mode.

Usable but laggy, interactive mode has a small delay between hashes to reduce the lag you get on the screen.
A good example would be pausing a youtube video, it takes a bit after your click for the video to stop moving if you're not interactive.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 13, 2014, 10:17:43 AM
Instead of whining on free software you should:
1. Read the past few pages.
2. Read the documentation.
3. Not use interactive mode.
4. Find which kernel argument is best for your card (k12x32 I believe).

Excuse me, but since when is asking for help with something that isn't working properly considered whining?

I've read the past few pages, I've read the documentation, and the autotune comes up with a different value every time I try it. The version from 12/1/2013 does not exhibit the problem of not utilizing the full GPU power, but unfortunately gives a lower hash rate. Something has changed in the newer versions that causes the program not to fully engage the GPU at times, inexplicably.

It amazes me how little help I've been offered here. I've posted several times, always polite, asking for assistance. What am I supposed to do, lie and say it is working fine for me, even when it isn't? How ridiculous.

Free or not, this utility is being offered as a potential solution for mining on Nvidia cards. All I'm trying to do is get a little assistance so I cant get it working for me as well as it seems to be working for others.

Asking for help is not whining. Insisting that all comments be gleaming endorsements of how wonderful something is, by implying that anything less than that is "whining" is beyond unfair and unreasonable.

The only information I've seen lately was "I use GTX 670 4GB", can't help with that.
Tell the arguments you use, the operating system, the driver, the output of the program then we can continue.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 13, 2014, 09:26:42 AM
Certainly there must be a way to make it use more than 25 to 35% of the GPU power? It's almost useless at that speed. I only get speeds above 100 kh/s randomly when I try it out on a pool, and I have to keep restarting it when I see gpu usage top out at a grand 35%. There's got to be something in the code (or missing from the code) that is preventing it from using all the resources available to the gpu every time it is run. I have my gpu set to always remain at the same max clock speed now, it doesn't throttle, and cudaminer still only uses 35% most of the time unless i restart it a dozen times and hope it randomly chooses to actually use the gpu.

I realize the software is free, but you are claiming it helps with mining on nvidia cards. I just want to come up with a config for my 4GB GTX 670 that gives me consistent, reasonable results, and uses at least *most* of the gpu power available to it.
Instead of whining on free software you should:
1. Read the past few pages.
2. Read the documentation.
3. Not use interactive mode.
4. Find which kernel argument is best for your card (k12x32 I believe).

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the YACoin.org was the correct one, there seems to be some branches on the internet too.
The conf file I didn't find though! Smiley

I want to try out mining YACoin but I am having issues finding the right server.
Would someone be kind enough to point me to the right .exe that I can run & connect to with cudaminer?
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 10, 2014, 12:30:56 PM
This is up and until commit 82. It's built for Windows (32 bit executable, runs under x64). Please note that I didn't get any valid results with this version and my Fermi card though!
I don't know why, but output looked like this:

Startparameter:
D:\bitcoin\yacoin\test>cudaminer.exe -a scrypt-jane -i 1 -l F12x1 -o http://yac.coinmine.pl:8882 -O username.2:password -C 2

https://www.dropbox.com/s/0yfhgko6iodecxa/commit82_32bit.rar

This version has terrible Scrypt rates for me using: -i 0 -H 1 -l K7x32 -C 1 -m 1
The 12-18 would get 300khash/s with that while this version gets me 163khash/s; GPU usage is at 55% but CPU usage went up to 90% while it was 10% before.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 07, 2014, 06:44:44 PM
i run it, and just on the first hash attempt the driver crashes and recovers, then it carries on

ok so i had everything installed, can not for the life of me figure out how to clone the git so i am going to give up lol
You can download the whole github as a .zip silly... (to the right bottom of your screen)
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 06, 2014, 11:04:07 AM
My hashrate should be similar to that of the 780ti as its tue same rough performance and memory. So 3.2kh/s plus I could stick my cpu working if power is less on the gpu

If I can find a pool I will try it. Maybe cbuchner1 has a better pool as he is testing his hash rates I believe?

Just found yac.coinmine.pl
Seems to have some good reviews and 0% invalid. Do I need to do anything to the last official zip file to mine them?

Do I need to compile from github or just use what I have now? And what settings would I need to set? Worth a try to see how many I can get this early on in the coins life
Christian is solo mining, he uses no pool for scrypt-jane coins.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 03, 2014, 12:04:03 AM
I'm trying to mine a sha256d coin, but somehow cudaminer isn't really fond of that, it starts mining with my Intel IGP and doesn't pick my GTX765M.

any idea how to fix this? If I remove all parameters it doesn't even start Sad
I'm pretty sure it's NOT using my Nvidia GPU (because the laptop status says so). Scrypt mining works fine...

Cudaminer doesn't do SHA256, only scrypt
You realize scrypt has a part SHA256 right?
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: January 02, 2014, 12:53:57 PM

What is a command line to enable my card to watch HD 1080p movies while mining with cudaMiner, without lagging in the movies?

The mining aggressiveness should be very low

I should be able to play games too while mining

Try with -i 1, you should be able to watch 1080p movies but I highly doubt you will be able to game properly.
(I can run Minecraft, but it doesn't reach 60fps)

Valnurat, have you tried the US servers?
