Lately, we have been focusing our resources on working on Belacam rather than building up Belacoin. We believed that the Belacoin community would grow substantially as people came to check out Belacam, and that has proven true. On our website, you will find the winners of the 2017 Belacoin Invest Initiative ( http://Belacoin.org/invest). These three businesses were awarded $500 to integrate Belacoin. They should be rolling out their Belacoin integrations as early as March. Seems like businesses come far with $500. But alright fair enough. I have a clear picure of this coin. We have since moved over to https://github.com/gjhiggins/bellacoin/tree/rebrand where you will find the updated code that served as the foundation for our newly-released Mac and Windows Wallets. Belacam is not open source, so you will not find or see that code until open beta testing begins (planned for late March). Belacam programmers are using a private Github to share the code, and it has 36 commits as of now. Join our slack at http://Belacoin.herokuapp.com to stay updated. We'll have plenty of updates over the next few days to share. In fact, we released a partial screenshot in our Slack last night and surveyed community members for a Belacam decision. Alright good to see you guys can rebrand a wallet. But anything technical or speed/memory or anything else that could count as an improvement? Or anything planned? Personally I don't count a rebrand as real actual development. If there's nothing to be developed on the coin self. Any other android apps planned that doesn't concentrate on millennials but something really cool & useful instead? |

Any update from Dev please about progress here.  For merged mining there were some problems with serialization. We are gonna try to bring up clean nodes with 0.13.2 instead of downloading from the existing nodes. There's a good chance that may be the solution! If it is, merged mining is done. Then I need to prepare for SegWit. Pick a date to singal, double check code, build the binaries & release the new Viacoin version. Let all pools, exchanges, users etc update. |

Glad to see VTC getting a huge boost based on SegWit rumors. While it's unfortunate it seems they are ahead in the development (not that it's a race) I think it's positive to see the market react with strong demand off the news.

I haven't looked at the chat room yet but seeing it's a discord chat & a cat fish to "lure" me in (found it funny)... But by seeing they use discord, it's probably a big trading room filled with edgy 4chan teens who "shit post" all day, glorify pepe & Trump all day. Don't get me wrong, nothing against it but if they used a catfish girl to get me in, you bet that a "major investment potential" is just an extra to get me in that chat. Yes I already saw that article. So in the beginning people were in doubt if F2Pool is ok with SegWit. It's pretty much confirmed they will activate it. Now if F2Pool activates it and some other big miners start mining on a SegWit ready pool, we are good to go. I can setup a SegWit pool within 24h. Yes I did setup a SegWit pool for my dutch groestlcoin friends too So I know my own Pool is SegWit ready. I will setup Viacoin for it too when 0.13.2 is activated. Just as an alternative for F2Pool. Current hashrate is around 500 GH/s. Activating SegWit doesn't sound difficult for Viacoin. |

It's going well, merged mining is close on being completed. Good things can take some time. Especially because it's never been done in altcoin land with bitcoin core 0.13.2 and merged mining! More then 60% is completed for merged mining. |

I've helped you on twitter and told you to use the core wallet then instead. For SegWit it's required that I have to upgrade electrum. It's not the time to bug hunt for a bug that only a single person has. I asked for a debug log and windows version but you didn't send that, also said to try it on another computer for now since it's only a single transaction you want to make. Isn't it much easier to just download the core wallet & sync it? The electrum wallet will be upgraded later & the bug will be gone by then. SegWit is now number 1 priority. |
