402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Sub Fans... Time to Let Go of Your Altcoin and Buy Bitcoin on: October 16, 2015, 01:08:52 PM
Why sell alts for BTC when they're already priced in BTC? All else being equal any gains you make on BTC are already included.

If Bitcoin went from $250 to $10,000 tomorrow, would you keep your alts or sell all of them for BTC.

i'm sure 99% will sell alts -> btc -> fiat and cash out to never look back. simply because most was dragged in crypto for the "get rich quick" dream.
and based on this simple fact (cashing out and gtfo), it's impossible that bitcoin raise that much in value.
simply by suggesting a $250 to $10k (lol) sustains the downward spiral mentality.
keep dreaming
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 42 blockchains on: October 10, 2015, 03:57:14 PM
You should add Stealthcoin XST.

Although the trading seems slow, this coin is one that have the most connections at bittrex for over a year now.

Because the best road is to maintain a healthy coin that never falters. At the end of the day, a useful coin has no forks or tendency to fork and dependable confirmation times.  adoption follows confidence and that confidence is built on a foundation of dependability.

FYI,  development are still going on behind the scenes, with a rule of "ninja launch". For those that read the white paper, you will know that a new blockchain, called Stealthsend, is in development with a swap xst <-> stealthsend.

XST should definately be listed in your top blockchain list.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAVAJO COIN - EVENT IN TAIPEI ● NEW ROADMAP ● ANONYMOUS TECH. ● CHAT ● on: October 08, 2015, 02:13:45 PM
although we all appreciate the post of Halofire, the problems remains.... and these are mostly all related to the lack of "caring" and follow-up that the nav dev team are giving to their investors - that are extremely patient - but there is no smoke without fire and explains why the coin value is still dropping.

by the lack of caring and followup i mean, for example :

just take a look at this ann title :

1. Event in Taipei...?!? why it's still there? why we haven't heard about the excerpts and presentation of this, why the promised followup, more info and pictures haven't been posted yet?

2. New roadmap...?!? why is the percentages not increasing at all?

others concerns...

3. block explorer... ?!?  http://navajocoin.org/block-explorer  last block is september 24th Huh WTF? the issue was raised here, no reply yet, why?

4. bip issue... ?!?  why the "we will give you news soon, it's almost completed" if it's to totally forget or avoiding to give a feedback and follow up on that?

5. decreasing block intervals (reported and updated by Remy_5) ...?!?  why there is no update on that issue? why Remy_5 had to ask multiple times and post and re-post charts for days and weeks before someone from the nav dev team finally care to reply that "we will check this" ?

..those are simple 5 legit concerns (probably seen as fud by you) that i've listed but the biggest one imho is the resulting "networking" effect that fade and fade : there is not a lot of crypto peeps and it's becoming a smaller circle-jerk by days when ppl lose more and more interest in the alts scene, either by completely leaving crypto or by going for other promising ones.  it's clear that navajo have lost a lot of peeps by making them wait for so long, by hyping and not delivering yet ( just thinking about all the "in the beginning of {insert month here} we will..." words by the nav team,  to finally see at the last week of that said month that nothing happened. ).  Hell, I don't even know what Strugg really do around here, am i the only one to believe he really should up his game?  so the end result is that ppl are leaving and the usual bagholders grab more shares in order to eventually dump on any small value increase (for example the most annoying one here posting youtube links and shilling non-stop, while dumping). the less ppl that stay in nav, the less networking effect nav will have.  yeah, yeah, i know... see this as fud if you want to, but rejoice, will be my last post here. btw, where is the last weekly update? Why nobody from the nav dev team is posting on navcointalk?

you could go to https://bittrex.com/Status
you will find there the connections for each coins.
you would have to take into consideration things like if the coin is new or not and if it's PoS or not.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MrPUMP - your guide to what whales are doing on: September 23, 2015, 01:35:04 AM
This thread and marketing effort is very dumb.

And here's what annoys me the most here :

i like this tips, he makes us not loose money Wink
ill buy into his final call surely

...as if it's not obvious already, the goal of this thread is simply to build a following to later manipulate the masses with wrong indicators. That quoted reply probably come from a bought hero account or from the inner circle of that pump group. Big red warnings guys.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: scam of the day - expanse(EXP) on: September 17, 2015, 01:10:44 PM
so true.
by the way, Bottrex' current top volume coins are a total joke... all scams.
that exchange turned to a total joke.
trying so hard milkin' what's left of btc in that alt scene.
I predict a very bad ending for bottrex soon.

414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText | BlockNet | PoD 5+ on: September 14, 2015, 12:40:51 PM
Well, I had few questions about the upcoming StealthSend and found what I was looking for at the end of the StealthSend Whitepaper....

"StealthSend Specifications
Although stealthcoin is a proof-of-stake (PoS) coin, stealthsend can not be PoS because PoS requires proof of
ownership for the stake, which compromises anonymity unless memory expensive proofs are included with
every staking transaction.
Although such proofs are theoretically possible, they are unnecessarily impractical for a crypto-currency.
Therefore, stealthsend will be a proof-of-work coin, which will most likely use the low energy scrypt hashing
algorithm.
Holders of stealthcoin will be able to convert to stealthsend at a ratio of 1:1 using a proof-of-burn conversion.
This conversion will account for 85% of the StealthSend money supply. The other 15% of the stealthsend
money supply will be emitted using a smooth emission algorithm, such that 1/2 of the remaining money
supply is emitted every 2 years. The total money supply will depend on how much StealthCoin is converted to
stealthsend.
Finally, stealthsend will have a six minute block time.
"
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XST] Stealth-Coin.com | Tor | StealthText | BlockNet | PoD 5+ on: September 10, 2015, 04:18:44 PM
 Cheesy
Interesting (weird) observation I've just made by looking at the rich list : if I take the top 25 richest addresses ( https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xst/#!rich ) I see that there are only 10 that actually stakes their coins.  Also, if I take a look at the distribution tab at bittrex, i can see there is maybe 2 millions coins lying there on the exchange that isn't staking neither.  Makes me wonder how someone can buy and hold XST and totally overlook / ignore the fact that XST have a PoS of 20%
Huh

btw, the OP probably could need a little review : dead links, no fresh updates (last one 9/21/14). just sayin'

excellent opportunity to buy below 1.5k satoshis right now.
I think we have a winner here. can't wait to see the coming announcements.

there were just too many red lights for investing in that scam coin and I hate myself for not having seen them. But sometimes, experiences are gained with errors. that's the case here. I also think a takeover is doable, but knowing now that someone openly said he's controlling 1/5 of the coins don't help at all. anyways, based on what I've seen and learned over the years in the alts, a coin must have good specs to allow it to survive and not getting abandonned and here's what i would suggest for a new direction and new coin specs :

-forming a board of investors, full transparency
-new coin name, no sci-fi gimmicks or childish theme.
-swap 2:1 to a new chain
-PoS only. version 2.0 this time, where weight is being gained only when running the wallet.
-PoS to be between 10% to 15%, substract a 3-5% from that pos% to go for the development fund (proposed already, i like this idea a lot)
-Min-Age staking : between 2 to 4 days.
-Max-Age staking : between 7-10 days.
note : min/max age, combined with pos2.0 and the good staking rate will ensure an excellent chain health

that is just a proposition, not entering into the technical stuff of swapping and keeping the exchanges listings for now. I would be interested in participating in the brainstorming of that coin new direction / takeover, although my current position (holding) is not much and i don't plan for now in gaining a bigger share.

bbye
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iGotSpots Scam Dev on: August 20, 2015, 06:13:39 PM
who care anymore, honestly... maybe it's you the idiot?

you abandonned the coin, your coin. you abandonned everyone that had bought the coin (or, more appropriate, forced to hold that coin since there was no real exits possible without huge losses with your 4 coins pre-swap). bucks was again just another failed attempt for you at crypto.

before you officially abandonned it tho, you made sure to lock the thread, to lock the ability to speak on irc, you didn't responded to emails...

in addition to abandonning the coin like a frustrated coward, you are not even offering to refund the staking plans you charged to everyone and that was suppose to be -lifetime-.

and to amplify your insults towards everyone, you decided to go batshit crazy by threatening back everyone that questionned you, threatening to flood the alt scenes with new coins, to hide behind new names to fool even more people. this is sick, you are sick.

This will be my last interaction in your thread, because no, i'm not a stalker. I don't plan in helping others to avoid from buying your next new coins, but i just hope they won't.
I think I never saw someone more insane in the crypto world than you (maybe also vicvelcro from ltcd). but that, i know you don't care... because it's all about you, you, you...

you are plaguing this crypto scene, the same way as scammers are. sure thing is, you now have a reputation of being not trustable: you openly proved it : nobody can believe in your integrity anymore, in your ability and that we can have confidence in.

what is utterly sad and miserable now is how you struggle so hard to stay relevant....
