Sent 5 FRSH - 1% fee Please confirm when you receive it. Thank you marcetin, something must be seriously wrong with the network here because I still haven't got them. I got the FRSH from the pool however: I think it took a couple of hours! I suspect my new ISP might be heavily filtering ports, I have noticed some serious caching and it sure isn't very happy with my traffic lately!

Hello, I have installed the wallet but I'm not sure it's working. It claims to be sync'ed but I see no transactions. I mined a few hours on hashharder and even tried a faucet, nothing. I am now trying to mine at suprnova but my hashrate is very modest and I think it'll take a while to checkout. Would you send me 1 Fresh to test?

Do you have any short guide on how to get started? I should be able to figure it out myself as I get going but I dont even know where or how to begin. I planned to write this for alpha release as I'm exploring the possibilities. On the pro side, alpha isn't far away. It was supposed to be next week. Miner has an integrated web interface but the current package besides being obsolete at this point uses a broken wizard so don't hold your breath. Thank you for your interest.

do u know about how many hashes one r9 280x will give using windows 7 and your software? I currently get ~5Mh/s using sgminer Sorry, no idea. I have a 7750 and only an handful of users reported performance so far.

Since the timewarp exploit’s main aim is not exactly to profit, but to be as destructive as possible, maybe it’s been let loose with sights that are set on Junior’s basement playground and its main mission is a "shock and awe" 3rd rate crypto wipeout. Wouldn't that be great! I’m anxiously waiting for the day when all these wanabe imposters are permanently wiped off the map so that everyday, ordinary people who know nothing about the technical side of things can begin to have real confidence in crypto-currencies that ARE REAL and will be forever. Where is that damn "operation cleanup" 3d dudes when you need them? Who is worse? Junior in the basement or those dudes claiming to be able to timewarp but do nothing to those shitcoins? WTF, the current "going mainstream" currencies are black, gray and dark gray. Talk about having a choice. Makes no sense to me.

So it stopped at last... Miningpoolhub expected round is now 2min 21 sec, the biggest hashers are gone.

for Myr-Groestl lot happens stale Plenty! I wonder how much hashrate we need to make the attacker lose its advantage. I might want to push to release my improved kernel but I don't think it would suffice.

It's an laptop-cpu, i'm only getting around 12-13 kh/s on an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3520M CPU with 4 cores (On a linux system, Gentoo to be precis).
So I wouldn't expect more of that cpu. Well, considering how much ppl blame AMD I was expecting it to be beaten much harder. My core i3 (1st gen) is only 30% slower than my 450. How close are you with profitability on the 450?

Win_64 AMD Athlon II X3 450 3.2ghz +- 12 khash/s Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz +- 7 khash/s Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz +- 6 khash/s
Holy crap! How is that possible? Are you sure you're using all cores on the i3?

Thanks for the update, I was trying it earlier this morning but I couldn't get it to work. Do I create a file called init.json and paste in the linked information, replaced the X's and save it to the appdata folder? Yes, this should work. If you want to be super sure, you can try the wizard anyway. It will create the file for you (but it won't work).

I'm very surprised most people still have a positive view on this. We need less oppenents, stronger and more distinctive. Hopefully we'll be there in a few months.

Small update for those who are going to try: Beware I suspect something has gone wrong when I packaged the last build. In case of problems, try this. It is confirmed the currently available package uses a broken wizard - I somehow forgot to update it to github entirely so it uses the previous configuration format, which is now invalid. You will have to write the configuration yourself as linked.

I'd also need a linux wallet BTW. Yes, I know I can (in theory) compile it myself, I'm unfortunately not into linux and after trying to compile a few things in the past, I've given up hope.

Where can it be found? Hello! I see there are about 600 blocks left! For those planning to hash Qubit, please try a new experimental miner. Caution advised: higher temperatures have been reported. Currently tested only on Windows 7. No *nix build available. Tested and officially supported only on GCN architecture. Kernels were reported to NOT work on VLIW. Beware I suspect something has gone wrong when I packaged the last build. In case of problems, try this.

Any chance to see a consolidated set of hashrate/hardware measurements like a google spreadsheet or something? I'm pretty sure I've missed it.
I need to asses profitability of a processor I don't currently have.

I second that - the Myriad team - MOST ESPECIALLY 8bitcoder deserve our highest praises Fully agree. Excellent timing. Anyway, centralization of hashrate is always the problem in a way or the other. To combat this, I might be able to release a new groestl-myr kernel next week. I assume the attacker has access to improved kernels already and albeit this is still to be better studied, I am positive it will reduce the gap between normal miners and the attackers.
|
|
|
FYI: more efficient Qubit kernels have been available for months, I'd say 50% more hashrate/watt (compared to sph-sgminer) and still to be optimized, this is GCN specific.
New grs-myr kernel passed first validity tests today. I estimate hashrate to be ~double but I have no consumption measurements. As I never used the specific groestl miners, I have no idea how it relates. This will hopefully be compatible with all AMD devices but since I cannot test devices I don't have those are not supported.

You never know how much potential a coin has until someone attacks it.
BTW, any chance to see an updated electrum wallet? Last time I checked the release was like 750 commits behind!

Just make sure you have at least i5 for your CPU, 8G of ram and GTX 770 for your GPU and the rest is not important. I disagree. A good monitor and a PSU are your best investments. SSD!I would also stay away from laptops as development environments. Just use a gaming PC and you're set. Modern development tools don't hit your system as they used to. Honestly, I would never buy anything more than 13". If it is to be portable, it must be portable. Not something "portable" because someone put a "portable" sticker on it.
