But I have problems when people start abusing "anonymity features" (for example, claiming that something is anonymous but in reality it is not). This may have consequences that are far worse than people losing majority of their money in "bad investments".

I remember coming in here after the initial mega dump and telling people to sell. I had a few idiots tell me that the price would be back up. I told them by the next morning crypt would amount to nothing. Its just taken a few weeks for it to plummet, but my predictions of this coin were 100% correct. IF you're going ANON, Cloak or XC. Nothing more has to be said

I was stunned by the mud-throwing session I saw during last pages of posts. I can't talk on behalf of others, but I can talk for myself. I am not part of any group, nor I am anyone else besides myself (and my nickname of course).
But after reading last pages, I wondered... How low can people go.
I'm 42 years old and I thought I saw it all. I guess I didn't.
It is a pity that the word netiquette means nothing this era... The so called: Internet era.
Perhaps I live in the wrong time or I'm outdated. Who knows...
Why don't other team members (moosa, koolio etc.) respond to these posts? It seems that "community relations" is not your job because you were just hired for developing new features. I think that you should focus on development and leave communication with community to somebody else. Lots of people lost a lot of money here and they are probably pissed off. Other team members are probably much more responsible for all this mess than you and so it is their responsibility to clean it. With "team" I mean "coin team", not just "dev team". I am responding to the posts that implied that I'm a scammer or that I'm a multi-nicknamed user. Also, thanks to all of you (and I really mean it) there is proof of the language is used by little kids just to irritate someone. The original post has been deleted, but thanks to you (with the post you quoted) I was able to see it and understand what exactly is happening in this smelly world of crypto. For anyone's info, I was asked if I wanted to get paid before hand and I refused. I refused for 2 reasons: 1) I was going to implement something new and I didn't want to take any btcs before I deliver, that's what I felt was right and I did not have any trust issues with the person that hired me. 2) I did not know how much to value my work about this, I first wanted to see how well it does and how much more I would need to take it further in order to reach the "almost impossible to trace" level I wanted. As I said, I can't talk on behalf of others and I can't talk about things I don't have any proofs about. I represent only myself. DRK was never added to BTCE and did fine on its own. BTC-e is not do all or end all. The fud was dispelled already and attious was a dickwad for doing what he did. Because you came to me with some dignity I'll explain myself in detail once without going mental on the thread and share my point of view on the situation. 1- rogue dev caused all kinds of issues, ones that will keep potential new investors at bay and wont be forgotten. What does this say about the team and the ability to pick the right people for the job? Says bobsurplus, the man who went rogue on DCM and stole 21 BTC, after he got fired there for being incompetent because all he did was spread FUD at rival coins in order to get more investors to DCM. Because clearly he couldn't promote his silly coin in a legit way. This bobsurplus guy was in DCM team and killed small coins like HMY with his FUD because he wanted to kill competition before this coin even had a chance to get started and start growing. If this man was in WW2 he would kill children instead of soldiers before they grow up to be men. With chemical poison instead of face-to-face combat. That's the kind of 'man', and it's his so-called 'friends' who are right now spreading FUD in here. After he got fired from DCM, he killed his newly started coin with his 21 BTC investments he got from the IPO after like 2 days (which he refused to give back btw) by spreading FUD and mess with the market of DCM this time. He was part of a team, and 5 minutes after he got out he spread the forum with personal things, even family-related matter of his team companions. And kept saying how proud he was stealing their 21 btc and he would immediately make trips around the world with it (still in Canada bobsurplus?) Now he's investing in CLOAK and clearly is trying to outdo CRYPT as he sees it as a rival. Probably because he's about to make his second pump & dump on the CLOAK market like 2 days ago and want more people to have BTC available who can fill his pockets. He does this as soon as he's unable to promote his coin in a legit way, mainly because he realizes it's faster and gives short-term fluxes in the market, perfect for pump & dumps. I hope people realize the type of criminal he is, what he does and why he does this. Look at his posts via his profile and see for yourself. Either he's trying to lure people to other coins, or he's trying to drop the price in order to get some low CRYPT himself. It's what he does. He'd even spend money to kill a coin. The amount of time he spends on spreading FUD in here is not to help investors or to warn them, check his history this is NOT something this egocentric scammer would ever do. So be wise enough not to fall for his and his companions little tactics. He always strikes at a vulnerable point (like right now for CRYPT) and makes the simple job of recovery impossible by throwing some salt in an open wound. IRC doesn't even have working archive anymore. So it is probably just archaic and dying technology. It is not used in corporate world. It lost lots of users. It can be replaced with more advanced technologies. There are many reasons why many people are not familiar with IRC.
And the best one: anonymous coin uses certain technology for publishing its updates (IRC), but this technology doesn't work with some widely used working solution for anonymization (tor network)? Not every e-mail provider keeps archives and it's an old technology - is e-mail dying? The corporate world doesn't use bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency - is this an argument? What more advanced technologies are you referring to and which one of them is so widely accessible as to be possible to use it with telnet? Many people are not familiar with computers, I say we stop using computers then! As far as I am aware updates are published in this thread, but only when there is something to announce. For anybody that can't wait for an official announcement, there's IRC. I bet there are ways to join IRC through tor, probably one of the web-based clients will work. I'm just trying to say that this lack of any serious communication on this thread is hurting this poor coin. Price is falling, investors are starting to lose confidence, they're even starting to think that this coin is vaporware etc. I'm a big investor on this coin and after reading your shitty post my confidence have boosted up the sky.. Simple as that. He doesn't need to send you copies of what he is doing to prove he is working on it. Devs don't send out copies to random people to peruse and evaluate. He is still working on it. Be patient and you'll like what they release.
