A friend of mine sent this message to me. How true is this? Using money to bribe the Angola team to perform better and win the competition.

~
Angolan bank, Banco Keve promised to give the Players $9,600 each if they beat Nigeria.

Angolan diamond company, Social EP promised to give the team $250,000 if they beat Nigeria.

Angolan Player, Gilberto says they will beat Nigeria at the Quarter Finals. He even boasted that the Super Eagles are not a threat to them.

Infact, an Angolan bank, BAI gave each Player $6,000 for beating Namibia 3-0 in the AFCON Round of 16.

A Telecoms company, UNITEL, as well gifted each Player an iPhone 15.

In case you've forgotten, Angola denied Nigeria FIFA World Cup qualification in 2006.

Friday is the day. Lets see what the outcome would be
I don't think the promise Angola bank made to their team will change anything from Angola players if they fail to prepare well to meet Nigeria players because, super eagles of Nigeria are not weak team you can use money to force your players to perform better than them.

The two teams have met before and this game will prove how strong they are in this season but super eagles will be my favorite team which I know that they will use all their local tactics and international tactics to beat Angola 2:0 for the favour of Nigeria to move ahead to semi-final.
Yes, there are rules in football. If anyone goes against those rules on the process of playing, they will surely face the punishment. Nigerian team having given their fans much confidence that they will win the match. It doesn't matter if there are promises or not. Any team that will have a good performance will surely do.

It's almost Friday yet, i can't wait to see what the outcome will be, since both teams are preparing so hard to face each other. I believe in Victor Osimehn, he would probably find a way to create chances for goals that day if he does not score.

The buyer didn't pay less because the price changed. If the price of the displayed ad has dropped, he'd not had accepted to transact, he'd would have rejected it and created a new one based on the current market price. When a buyer set an ad at a particular price and you agree to sell your coin, you'd get the total amount for the transaction based on the number of coin you want to sell. It's all your friend's fault, he'd have confirmed the money he received corresponded with what was displayed on Binance before releasing the fund. I doubt if Binance support is going to penalize the buyer.
Literally he didn't pay less because that was the price that was there. What OP is saying is that the buyer intentionally changed the price so fast that the seller hardly noticed he did it. If you read careful, he said he checked the price after the first changes and noticed it was back to the original price, he was comfortable with. All of a sudden when he placed the order it was a different price. It was an intentional act from the buyer.

Good thing that he noticed before he thought about releasing his assets. And it seems people he was concerned about the increase of the price of USDT to naira. And doesn't want to buy at that rate. Last week i noticed there were only 10 buyers on Binance P2P. I have never saw something like that before.

404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 29, 2024, 04:09:02 PM
I consider gambling as an act of taking betting on a possible or impossible odd which we do not know which it is. For the sole aim of getting extra money, doubling of current funds or for entertainment purposes. However as long as there is uncertainty in the risk taking it is also called gambling. Many persons may see it in a different way, but this is how i see gambling and i have agreed that any consequences i face while gambling will be on my head. Since i have understand how it is before going into it.

I don't see any other community online that holds so muck knowledge with the right information like the Bitcointalk community. I have never seen anyone here in person or get to know them down to their own individual places but yet the level of communication and information passed across to one another is on another level. I found here as my home. When i wake up in the morning this is the first place i run to and before i go to bed I kiss the forum goodbye.

There is no way one can be in the forum without learning so much about cryptocurrency in general and another thing is that the forum is the first place to get well detailed information about new trends and updates in the crypto space. Lastly the forum has helped improved my writings and the way i speak. I now understand how punctuations, grammatical functions and subject works when making a sentence.

406  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Has Happened to Me:Shutting Down my Business After a Year of Operations on: January 27, 2024, 07:45:57 AM
Sincerely speaking the only type of business that can flourish in this era of solid inflation are those businesses where customers make consumption on a daily basis. Something that humans cannot do without every day. I see the rate at which buy food and they can effortlessly spend money on eating good food, another is the way people make expenses on making hairs, painting their nails and buying new wigs. More businesses like bakery, transportation, real estate, boutiques and so on. These are businesses that people patronize every day. And i feel they are the only businesses that will survive for a long period of time.
407  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Make una dey careful with online dating apps on: January 27, 2024, 07:29:56 AM
I see people who are using dating apps like people who do not have pure intention in going into a relationship. Instead of finding love on the dating apps they get to find a onetime sex partner. However, things may proceed after that, and love may find them along the line, but it is difficult to see it go that way. Yes, it has the probability to find the type of woman you want. This is because there are several options of women in the app form different geographical area. I think that is the only benefit of dating app. What comes next doesn't really matter to both parties.

There was a time i tried using a dating app to see how it works. I met this pretty damsel online and we talk for about a week. After then she was like if she comes what will i give to her. I was like we were supposed to go for an official date, and she was like i should go straight to the point. That she's not actually here for something serious. She only needs someone she can rely on and meet up at any time. What am trying to say is that dating apps doesn't serves the purpose it was made for anymore. It's now more like a hook up platform.

Another issue i have with dating apps is how they have been able to monetize everything of which only desperate match finders can use the app successfully. It's now obvious that they are not interested in finding match. They want to benefit from your desperateness when you start paying for premium packages and yearly subscriptions. You will be seeing messages like "hey just give us $5 and we'll show you some people and for $10 more you can actually talk to them". You know when you're setting up your preference on your perfect match. These dating apps gets to understand and knows your perfect match, but they don't want to show you for free. Until you pay you won't find them.

In summary dating apps cannot help you find love. There are people out there who wants to feel love, go out, find someone, start a conversation. With time you will find that special someone you have been looking for.

AFCON: Don’t watch us on TV anymore – Super Eagles captain, Musa sends message to President Tinubu

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu not to watch the team on television anymore but to come over to Ivory Coast and cheer them at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

Whether the president come over or on TV as for me they can't do anything because their football skill on the pitch is very weak and slow. And their previous match said about them all. Nigeria Super Eagles can't play with Morocco or Mali if the case may be if they escape from the round of 16.with Cameron. And instead nof calling the president to come over why can't he tell the president to prepare a wonderful monetary package for them if they win the cup and that will also motivate them on the field. The present of Tinubu will not change anything so they should play their game they way they want.
Maybe the presence of the president may give them motivation to do better, who knows. However, if i were the president, today will be the day I'll decide if I'll come watch them play in the future. The performance if Nigeria in this competition is so discouraging to watch. Imagine i had a conversation with my friend yesterday at work and i said i will be going out to watch the match of Nigeria against Cameroon today with some of my friends. And he was like ' You still watch those underperforming Super Eagles' Its quite embarrassing though, but it is the truth. Perhaps they haven't watched how their replay and see how bad they are performing. Today they may be lucky but after today it won't have to be a game of luck it will be a game of how composed and strong your team is.
409  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: January 26, 2024, 04:58:42 PM
With what you're saying here, we should spend less and invest while we are young. Thats very thoughtful to bring up this topic.

Many believe that life is too short, so they have this mentality of enjoy the life while you're still young. Yes, it is good to enjoy your life with the money you work for, but it is very responsible that while making all this expenses you should keep an eye for the future. I have never seen anyone who regret that they were able to save up or invest some money for two to five years. The experience has aways been worth it. It will be so exciting seeing the amount you have accumulated all these years.

Life experiences can be very tragic or fortunate. This is why we shouldn't let our desires take the best of us. We may be very earning bountifully and could broke any day same thing goes to being very broke and one day you become very rich. This is just life. We need to take opportunities that comes when we have the money to start a business, save in emergency funds and also try to invest wisely. Money can be spent in seconds without any difficulties but when you want to make money it is difficult and require some level of input. My experience i have share in this forum before has taught me a good lesson. So, i can't make that mistake of not putting my money to good use.

Ok so where Klopp is going next?

Manchester United?
It was indeed a very shocking news when he made the public aware that they will be leaving Liverpool after the end of the season. However, he has achieved a lot ever since he came to Liverpool. He won the EPL, UCL, CWC, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Super Cup in 9yrs. Won only UCL in his 4th season, then EPL in his 5th, and the others followed which is a great achievement. I am expected to see him win this seasons EPL as a courtesy to his dismissal as the manager of Liverpool.

But truly i still don't have the right answer for this question. Where is he going next?

It can't be Manchester United. I think he is leaving the English team. Am not certain but i feel he might go to Spain or Italy where he could build up growing teams and make them stronger.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 26, 2024, 09:23:08 AM
I think footballers representing their county in the AFCON competition are not happy that their presidents are not interested in watching them play live in the stadium. That they prefer watching on TV. However, the Nigerian captain has come out in public to address this situation. He is addressing this to his president, so read what he said.

Is it compulsory that the president should watch them live? To me i feel it is part of his duties to show that patriotic feeling by traveling with them to the stadium. Or maybe he is not a fan of football, and he is not impressed with their performance. Am just saying maybe he has his own personal reason.

when I started discussing my activities and involvement in the forum to some people around me about it, the next question is," how much have u earned", I was absolutely discourage as I remained mute till date. I was seen as a mentor until they got to realise that no pay until time "proves u worthy".
You fed them with the idea that the forum is all about earning you did not tell the real purpose of the forum. So, what do you expect to hear from them. People like platforms where they can a earn free money, so what they do is that give you time so that they can observe and see if any positive is coming out. And ones they see that you successfully start earning from there they won't hesitate to join you because they have seen result. However, being a member of the forum is one benefit, then when you get you self-acquainted with the forum you will have access to other benefits. Remove the mindset of getting money form the forum and focus on the impact of the forum positively in your personal life.

I am relatively new here, but my essence is to learn more about crypto.
It is a nice bonus that you may be able to earn something in the long term.
Don't just learn about crypto learn about the forum. You can have resources that will teach you about crypto if you are so enthusiastic. But the forum is on another level of resources. It contains knowledge from hundreds of members from different countries sharing their knowledge and ideas. Coming together to bring about the growth of the bitcoin community and other cryptocurrency. If you will humbly focus your attention on learning in the forum you will be more grounded than you are watching video online and hearing stories form crypto influencers.
413  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin price speculation (BTC/NGN) on: January 25, 2024, 11:02:43 PM
The increase not dollar in the country is getting out of hand. And some people think that when dollar increase their hodling will also increased but that might be correct but they have forgotten that $1 which is equivalent to #1400 now is also equal to what you buy as well and if you calculate very well you will discovered that what you earn and the increase in dollar, you are di one who loss out because expenses will eat up your funds..so instead let's think how dollar can reduce to the normal price again. If dollar is high, then you hodling of Bitcoin is always affect because you are not using Bitcoin to buy food or clothes but the fiat currency and you must change your Bitcoin to fiat so what is the need of advocating for the increase in dollar.

And we should not forget that it's not only us in the country but poor people are also there. Do you think of them as well?
Absolutely right. The higher the price of dollar to naira the higher the cost of goods and services in our country. Which means there is no difference from what it was before. For example, if you buy a bag of rice for thirty thousand naira when one dollar was equivalent to a thousand naira. If a dollar increases to one a thousand and four hundred naira the price of rice would be about 45k. So, we see no difference in the value.

And my only fear is that in Nigeria what goes up doesn't comes down. Instead, it continues to go up more and more. Sellers would take advantage of the price of dollar and start selling their old products for the same price the new product cost. My candid advice to everyone is that, if you have a skill or service you are rendering in exchange for money. Do well to increase the cost of your service if not you will not meet up with the standard of living. This year na no gree for anybody o
414  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: All professions are important on: January 25, 2024, 10:53:12 PM
Maybe people look down on other professions but i do not. I believe that all professions, skills and talent are very important. It is good to value your profession or skill and the way you advertise yourself is very important as well. Infact these days those who have skills are the one who are making lots of money in the country if you compare them to day-to-day workers in a firm or company. If you have a skill like a carpenter you used for example is a very unique skill because the luxurious furniture's, TV consoles, personal bedroom and kitchen cabinets are being done by these set of people. And we all know how expensive these things are. One thing is to have a skill the other is to give value to your skill and be proud of what you do.

If we listen to what people are saying about us based on what we do, we won't go far in life. This our country has made some kind of jobs less of value. But all thanks to social media who have made branding of our profession easier. Now you can see a fish farmer proudly showing her pond on TikTok in a more presenting way. Bringing the right customers to her reach. Same things go to other professions. Just do more marketing and good pricing on your services people who value what you do will surely come for you without stress.

415  Economy / Economics / Re: Passion for skills. on: January 25, 2024, 09:07:14 PM
So, my question is very simple. What skills are you currently learning or have learned and are earning from, and what is the reason why you picked it?
Currently, in my area, many young people are becoming content creators. So I also followed trends and started learning about everything related to content creators. Starting from Video Editing and such.
And I also have several friends who are studying together and we have the same passion, namely to become content creators and hope to get additional income from there.

I am also sure that many members of this forum are content creators. Because the era of digitalization has really brought changes even in money-making opportunities. It's easier but requires more skill and tenacity to do it. But I believe if we are willing to try then we can do it in the end. And let the results come to us with the will of the Almighty and through the results of our hard work.

Improving finances is almost everyone's goal today. It's just that we must not forget the importance of being grateful and remaining a happy person.
When we have decided to pursue a field then we have to do it absolutely perfectly and don't just follow trends and not produce anything from what we have learned, it will indeed be a motivation for us if we study it with several friends, however We should not just follow people even though we have no interest in that field and if we only follow trends and also follow friends even though we have no interest, of course this will be very detrimental to the time we have.
In this digital era, we can easily learn what we want and if we can learn it well then we will be able to earn an income from the skills we have and we also have to remain grateful for what we have gotten from the results of what we have done.
Your right, everyone is supposed to choose their niche and not follow every trend they see online. This is because what can possibly work for Mr. A may not work for Mr. B. One thing i have learnt last year is to understand what works for me most. Something i derive joy and i can comfortably sit for hours working of which i have find out. T
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a social or casual good guesser make better gambling prediction carrier? on: January 25, 2024, 09:02:38 AM
Someone like that will never know unless he starts gambling and he is going to find out. Theoretically gambling is luck, which means no one can be perfect all the time. Sometime the predictions work and sometimes it doesn't. What you should do is to tell your colleague to start a carrier in gambling and try his luck he may be successful in it who knows.

You don't describe gambling as a guess, especially when it comes to sport betting. It could be a matter of predictions after analyzing the stats from both opponents and how far they have gone in that season if lately they are in form or not, this will be helpful to determine the possibility of winning the gambling.
He never described gambling as a guess work. And yes, the guessing spirit may work for his colleague but there are sone extent it may go. If he includes multiple games in his bet it may not work for him. As he won't be able to get all the luck in all the games. Perhaps you are forgetting that a person who is a good guesser is most time a critical thinker and analyzer.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to win a game given to you in the dream? on: January 25, 2024, 08:28:57 AM
Lol, you remind me of the first time i won my first gambling game. It was my uncle who woke me up early in the morning and gave me some games to bet for him with 5,000 naira. He said the game was giving to him by his mother which was my grandmother to bet. So, on my way to bet i took out my last 1000 naira and went to the local gambling shop. I bet his own and mine.

It was exciting that i won 11,000 from the game and my uncle won as well. I never told him. But this made me had this feeling that games given in the dreamland may somewhat be the best prediction. Ever since then i have always wanted my grandmother to visit me and give me my own dream games or maybe give my uncle again but to no avail.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 25, 2024, 08:21:59 AM

If it's already been confirmed that Cameroon is our next opponent then it will definitely be an interesting encounter between them, this year the Cameroonian national team have not been that good but the Nigerian team have not been spectacular either, the only difference among them which makes the Nigerian team better is their defense.

The Cameroonian team need to sort out their defense if they will have to go past the Nigerian team into the quarter finals of this year African cup of nations, while the major issue of the Nigerian team have been their attack, they are not banging in the goals, they need to be clinical in front of goal against this Cameroonian team if they must progress to the next round of the competition, but it's really a mouth watering clash no doubt.
Cameroon vs Nigeria will be one very fun match to watch as these are two top African teams. What’s similar between them is that, they haven’t been able to attain their full potentials as Giants of Football in Africa. While Nigeria is lacking the shooting strength upfront, Cameroon aren’t looking composed at the defense. So I think this match will be worn by the midfield. The team with the best midfield perfomance might claim the victory.

Yes, the midfield; who’ll be able to feed the strikers creatively and help the defenders wisely and then you take the glory. From this I’ll say Nigeria has better chances of going past this Cameroon side because I don’t see their midfield being strong to match Nigeria’s own, if Nigeria can use the quality players they've got in their squad properly, then there's no way Cameroon would get ahead of them.
If you say the team with the best midfield will attain victory, then obviously Nigeria has a better midfield than Cameroon. Am not saying Nigeria has the best midfielders in the competition, i know they have poor midfielders especially the attacking midfielders, it is the defensive midfields that are performing better in all their matches i have watched. But compared to Cameroon, Nigerians can boast that they have a well performing midfielder. Moreover, we should not just conclude that any of the team the best midfielders will win, don't forget that Nigeria has been struggling to score goals in their last matches. While Cameroon makes use of their chances at the front to score goals. Which means Cameroon will win the game if they can persist to use their opportunities at the front to score goals.

To me, I'll say the game will be a game of luck and favor. Since the bother teams are not performing to their standard any of them might just get luck and win the match. However, I don't see them scoring a total of 3 goals and above. So, if am to place a bet ill just bet with 0ver 1.5 which means above 2 goals.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 24, 2024, 08:49:17 PM
Liverpool are the favorite for this fixture against Fulham considering their strength bas been much better than that of Fulham, in the history of the EFL, Liverpool has won several games and would definitely want to add this to their records and wouldn't let go of this chance especially with a team as Fulham who's not tough enough for them.

Getting to the semi-final must have been a good height for Fulham and over the years they have usually gotten to this point in the EFL which happens not to really be a big deal for them except that this time they are facing a bigger team but then to be mindful of willian who has got his third career goal in Fulham and will be looking to get a forth one in this game is very much important to the defense line of Liverpool hence the concede a goal courtesy of him, nevertheless Liverpool still remains most probable to win this match.
I think it will be very heartbroken for the Fulham fans who are going to watch them play, Liverpool are not ready to loose their guard down, it's another opportunity to accumulate more point to keep them maintaining the first position on the table. I believe Fulham will try their best to defending the future EPL winners (just predicting) but the possibility of Liverpool coming down the table, giving a lead to Man city is on a 0.1 percent. Fulham will surely try their best to secure a draw and partially considering a win, but that may turns out not giving them the best outcome they hoped for.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I could have won bigger. on: January 24, 2024, 07:15:11 PM
Your predictions went smoothly and successfully won the bet. I guess it's not always like this all the time, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. And each of those times have a feeling that comes with it. When you lose you feel sad and when you win you make merry. Which is what you are doing now. I understand how happy you are that you won and i also understand how regretful you are that you did not stake with a higher amount. However, if you had bet with a higher amount and lose you will be disappointed by now, just remain satisfied with your winnings.
