Is everything working fine with the update for those who synced from scratch?
2.0.2 works for me with previously downloaded blockchain (no bootstrap) Currently doing Q&A on a new bootstrap which was restructured by devs to correct some issues. This new bootstrap could be available later this evening if all goes as planned. kiklo, your new bootstrap thread is cool. Can I get you a test link? Thanks, My mint bootstrap was created after syncing from the network with the older 2.0.0.1 wallet version, and then converting the blk0001.dat by using copy /b . This wording concerns me, new bootstrap which was restructured by devs to correct some issues. So I am going to assume the wording is a little off and hope restructured is the wrong word. The Guys need to clarify exactly what they are doing to the bootstrap since that will feed directly in the blockchain. FYI: You can PM me a test link , but it will be tonight, before I can start the import. What was mean by that comment is that the dev team is putting out an official bootstrap that was created from one of their clients to replace the "Fake" bootstrap, which is just a copy of someones datadir minus the wallet.dat file That comment had nothing to do with your bootstrap.

yea same error as the windows guys 2.0.1 wasnt syncing at 1st but i let it sit for awhile and it start so im not walletless
did you by chance use the bootstrap? i suppose i could try it but i didnt yet cuz it didnt seem to work for them ill try it now and msg back edit: after the 2.0.1 finishes ill give 2.0.2 a try as well, before deleting old and doin the bootstrap, maybe syncing the past couple weeks on that version will fix it no no, it was a general question... did you sync from scratch or use a bootstrap when you first started your wallet when you first got into mint? i was on windows a few months ago and switched to linux i think i might have just copied all the old files from that when i synced 2.0.1 here or maybe used the bootstrap from around that time but it was a couple months ago so i dont remember i just havent synced for about a month yeah we think the bootstrap is causing the issue

Renamed. Ran the mintcoin-qt.exe directly from its folder. Got no wallet found, option to import was presented. <didnt do so> Program menu was running - stopped the synch attempt...
( I now recall that my PC crashed while mintcoin was runing -sorry forgot to mention that)
well, put your wallet.dat back in after closing it... the block chain got corrupted Thanks for the quick help Block chain finished loading day before yesterday, and new mining entries are accruing; but I see a message in the small window at the bottom of the UI that says the block chain checkpoint is too old. I ran repair wallet and it fixed an entry. I let it continue to run in hopes it would fix itself in a day or 2, but it has not. 20:54:11 getcheckpoint 20:54:11 { "synccheckpoint" : "f19d64603d4144ce4c9db07b109cdf95cfa4110e0809c966a887c731153547f1", "height" : 1274551, "timestamp" : "2015-03-01 16:18:35 UTC" } I tried to use the open debug log file to provide the last entry here, but it will not open ( file in use by another process). If need those entries I can stop the process and snip a few. Pls advise Thanks 2 things... 1. release 2.0.2 fixes that issue 2. did you use a bootstrap or fresh download?

MINT has just a 30 second block time, so how would increasing the drift time to 60 seconds be any more helpful here? There is nothing essentially wrong with orphans anyway, so guess I don't see why that's such a big deal. You might want to consolidate your 1 million coins into a single transaction, as that will revamp the weight for a single minting, so you will will mint more successfully, yet less often.
Does anyone have a screenshot of the new wallet? I am curious, did you guys manage to incorporate the change to the GUI so that is says "Minting" instead of "Stake"?
design hasn't gone through yet... we are testing the code side of it first... after code passes alpha, then the design gets put in

Guys please stick with 2.0.1 while I work with fuzzbawls to narrow down the issue.

After updated my wallet on windows from v2.0.1 to 2.0.2 I have "error reading blkindex.dat" Sounds like your datadir is corrupted... I would suggest downloading the bootstrap and replacing those files. This likely happened either due to app crash, forcefully closing the app without letting it complete the exit process or a complete system crash I downloaded the bootstrap from mincoint official and replaced data dir, and get some error With v2.0.1 all OK I'll get my chain up-to-date again with 2.0.2 and upload bootstrap for you that should work exactly... there should be no reason that it continues to do that, because we didn't change bdb version.

Guys do I need to download the 2.0.2 wallet? Because when I start my wallet now it says: Warning: checkpoint is to old. Wait for the blockchain to download or Contact developers.
So I Fully downloaded the blockchain and it still says the same. Will the new wallet fix that or is something wrong?
2.0.2 fixes that issue plus a few other issues

Any help?
try the following: browse to c:\users\username\appdata\Roaming\ Find mintcoin folder and rename it to mintcoin_orig Then attempt to launch the wallet creating a new directory (by renaming the folder you are backing up all the files there so they don't get overwritten) let me know the results.

Fuzzbawls & crzybilly - Problem solved!! Thank you for the help and sorry for needing a step by step. What's your mintcoin add's? you can send whatever to Mg1YaFGphDugNwBAEAVpmCXzKtbo9nrp5b (which, as explained previously, I'm using as a temporary dev address) agreed... we are both part of the team
