try deleting the peers.dat file and restarting your wallet. There is no 'peers.dat' in the wallet's folder?

try deleting the peers.dat file and restarting your wallet. There is no 'peers.dat' in the wallet's folder? well that IS a problem as it is fundamental in gaining connections. I've never come across an instance where this file failed to be generated. You might want to redownload the binaries from github and try again...if that doesn't work you'll need to post the contents of debug.log file (delete it before trying to start the client again to ensure it is "clean").

Man I used a setup in one of the previous wallets a long time ago... None of these new ones seem to work.. Looking at all the github files it looks too complicated... Is there a simple setup/executable file to get me going??

Just unzip to wherever you like and run the exe. The last version that had an installer was the 1.7 branch, which isn't allowed on the network anymore. If you have been trying to run such an old version, there is a chance that your IP has been banned. Such bans are lifted usually within 24 hours. Installer based distributions will be supported again in the next release.

You can also manually add nodes that are current from the node list at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/mint/#!network

Redownloading the blockchain now

much appreciated I'd like to note that the address I provided is going to be difficult to track, as it is not dedicated solely to dev funds, and it's balance will fluctuate. It is NOT a staking address (ie, the wallet that houses the address doesn't stake at all)... All of this is merely fluff and over explanation really as it is only a temporary thing until we can solidify new permanent donation addresses that will be dedicated for their stated purposes and will be able to be tracked for each and every deposit/withdrawal.

try the following: browse to c:\users\username\appdata\Roaming\ Find mintcoin folder and rename it to mintcoin_orig Then attempt to launch the wallet creating a new directory (by renaming the folder you are backing up all the files there so they don't get overwritten) let me know the results.

Renamed. Ran the mintcoin-qt.exe directly from its folder. Got no wallet found, option to import was presented. <didnt do so> Program menu was running - stopped the synch attempt...
( I now recall that my PC crashed while mintcoin was runing -sorry forgot to mention that)

this whole quote confuses me... I take it english isn't your native language? not trying to be rude, but it might help if you say what you're looking for in your native language
