401  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don’t play gambling with drugs or in half sleep on: April 21, 2024, 03:30:35 PM
Getting drunk, taking drugs before gambling is a bad habit, not just about it negative  impact on your gambling activities but a bad lifestyle.
Nobody with a burning desire to conquer will wake up in the morning take drugs just to gamble.

This is the late-stage of addiction, bro is addicted and finds it more pleasurable to gamble along with drugs in other for him to relieve himself of the loses, this is the worst stage any gambler should reach it drains you financially and Emotionally. Dopamine is secreted through your whole body.

Gambling under any influence be it drug, drink, anything else. Leads to disastrous results you risk high, you gamble without limits, you  get dissatisfied, and keep chasing fantasis consume with your expectations.

Always have limit, value Moderation,self-control and Discipline.
Maybe the individual is taking drugs to remain awake even though his organism is begging him for some rest, for some sleep. It's indeed a serious symptom of addiction the person is displaying, because he denies sleeping in order to continue gambling compulsively. He shows a total disfunction on his actions in the world, which are noxious and harmful to himself on long run. It will inevitably lead to neuronal losses, and consequently cognitive losses, potentially developing further diseases and disabilities in the future, if he doesn't revert his conduct on the current moment.

One addiction is serious enough, now imagine adding more addictions and practicing them at same time, like an individual gambling without limits under the effect of taking drugs. Outcomes are just going to be even more devastating. As you said, to develop self-control in order to achieve discipline and respect limits is very important and essential, not only regards gambling, but towards every other aspects of life, aiming welfare and a healthy lifestyle.
402  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Americans Profits from War and Terrorism on: April 21, 2024, 03:13:51 PM
So, the ones who sell the guns are the ones to be blamed, but what about the ones who pull the trigger? If there were people willing to sell weapons, but no one willing to buy and to pull the triggers, there wouldn't be wars at all, and the sellers would be forced to find something else to work on for a living.

It's like blaming the devil for every bad choices humans make in life.

When you say americans profit from war and terrorism it sounds like the whole nation profits from that, while in fact, it's few individuals who have american citizenship who are involved in military stuff industry who profit from both sizes of a conflict. Moreover, the nation USA has heavily suffered the consequences of war and terrorism already along the decades, as we can see the attack to World Trade Center in 2001, and the following events in Middle East where thousands of americans died. There is no profit on it, rather only pain, suffering and financial losses.
403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the game 'Fortune Tiger' or the little tiger game famous in your region? on: April 21, 2024, 03:01:26 PM
"Jogo do tigrinho" has become a hype in Brazil among virtual gamblers, even though there is a plethora of slots themes available. I believe the success is heavily related to the fact people tend to repeat patterns others are doing. There are hundreds of games disponible (all of them with same winning chances), but among all of them, people will play the one which there are more active players and more ads being promoted in real time on the social medias and social circles they attend to.

Besides that, I believe the mainstream media contributed to that phenomenon when they attempted to denounce, alert and educate brazilian citizens regards potential risks and damages the game could bring to their personal finances. Instead of instilling discernment, they created further hype and fascination for the game in the country, as it can be seen through the memes shared on social medias and so many videos talking about the Tiger game, which gained even more versions along the time, as we can see at PlayStore, for an example.

Personally, I have nothing against Tiger game, as I don't have anything against gambling in general. I just feel ashamed and annoyed by how these social influencers promote these games and by how the population receives this kind of content as legit.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: April 21, 2024, 02:49:56 PM
But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.
Children don't have much discernment of what is real from what is just propaganda. They are likely to take those ads seriously, believing gambling can be a solid source of income or a life changer if they deposit enough money to play at casinos. I believe many of us had this kind of misconception when we were on such stages of our lives, besides many other imaginary ideas which didn't match reality.

However, if kids don't have money and no way to access casinos, it shouldn't be an issue, right? They will keep imagining and dreaming about gambling, but they won't be able to put their plans in practice, unless they are raised by careless parents who give them access to credit cards, banking account apps and so on... Anyway, it's pretty easy to not let this threat go ahead. Just make sure your children aren't having access to your personal banking data.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their blogs or videos?
Influencers do know, but they don't care, as long as money is being deposited on their accounts. They earn from both sides: from casinos and from the infant public. There is a very famous case of influencer here in my country who is included on his category you are mentioning. He is the most popular youtuber from the country and the majority of his subscribers are children, as he produces content related to Minecraft, joking and games.

Suddenly, he started promoting a casino as opportunity of extra income, although several polemics involving the respective casino and other local influencers, he stopped his advertisements and claimed to have never promoted online gambling. The guy is just an hypocritical, what isn't uncommon among social influencers.

I read news on funtoken.io and it seems that they want to expand into DeFi and GameFi, utilize FUN for staking platforms, DAO voting and so on. Well, let's see what happens, they have the power to make things better, hope they'll actually do.
If they managed to introduce FUN as native token for a blockchain game of the same size of Axie Infinity or any other satisfying MMORPG I think it could work to make FUN more valuable, although nothing close to its ATH. However, to repeat features every other altcoins already have like DeFi, GameFi, staking programs and DAO voting don't look exciting, neither efficient. They need an original product which makes FUN different and authentic when compared to every other crypto tokens.

I know there are professional developers who could create great games, but they lack incentive and proper partnerships to keep running their projects through a productive and rising path. There are so many developers creating their own native tokens for self-created projects, while they could just adopt an existing token like FUN for that purpose.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Geopolitical Tension and its effects on Gambling on: April 20, 2024, 10:51:10 PM
Do people gamble less when they see such tensions around the globe?

Will the gambling sites/bookies will have an impact on this situation?
People who live in the areas where such conflicts are happening or are indirectly attached to people who live in these areas will tend to stop gambling or gambling less frequently for now, since their attention will be totally driven to the impacts of the war over their routines. How could they think about gambling when their lives are at stake and the enemy attack is imminent? They won't be able to concentrate on gambling games.

Furthermore, it's possible internet connection gets affected during wartimes, what will consequently prevent gamblers from accessing the platforms they are used to play. Unless they flee from the war zones, and reach safe areas where infrastructure is still intact, it won't be possible to gamble, anyway.

The impact for websites and bookies will be decreasement in traffic and volume of daily bets, what means less profit for the house...

They have not done any burns for this past quarter yet, despite being 20 days into a new quarter. On Telegram they announced that they’re considering stopping these burns. With their new CEO trying to pivot towards other areas besides gambling it does make sense that they would stop doing burns. Burning was always tied to gambling profits, but now there will be more of an emphasis on growing their market cap with diverse use cases.

I don’t know how successful the new CEO’s efforts will be, but it’s clear the previous strategy was not working. The token has lost substantial value and left many with a deeply underwater investment.
The burning strategy doesn't work, because the amount of burned tokens is too small compared to the total supply available on the market. If they want to make FUN more valuable, they have to make it scarce, besides developing new usecases for it. To offer massive interest rates for staking FUN is also a wrong strategy. There should never be 25% interest for locking FUN for 1 year time period. Interest rates should stay around 4-5%, just like any other traditional passive income investment.

Moreover, it's hard to develop new usages for the token. They could try implementing it to play to earn games, but that is something very unstable too, since these games don't last for long and usually lack originality. Besides that, where else could FUN be implemented?
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An interesting story and experience of a gambler on: April 20, 2024, 10:23:45 PM
What exactly do you think we call this type of gambler? For he is not only addicted to gambling, but he seem to be also addicted to buying stuffs he obviously does not need, and absolutely not interested in..
He is an addicted gambler and compulsive buyer. He can't manage his money properly and keeps spending funds with useless things, although we can't deny he used part of the money for constructive stuff, like paying debt, supporting his mother and donating to charity... Anyway, a large part of that money he used to pay for eletronic gadgets and videogames could have been used to start new investments which would help bringing financial stability to his life. I believe he had opportunity to do so, but chose to not do instead, because his avid appetite for gambling was stronger than everything else.

There is still hope, I believe. Everyone can change their lives for the better if there is enough will power and determination to do so. He can overcome his gambling addiction and educate himself to deal better with the challenges of daily life involving the impulses for buying stuff he doesn't really need or care. There are efficient therapies focused on treating this kind of person, and they have showed positive results along the years when the patient remains commited to the treatment and the strategies to control anxiety and compulsiveness.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: THERE ARE TWO THINGS INVOLVED on: April 20, 2024, 02:06:08 PM
When someone puts in money into gambling, he should be prepared for two things because there are two things involved, it's either the money is lost or you get some extra more cash (depending on the odds you chose to bet on).
Moral of the story: you can always decide what to do next, as there are two alternatives available. It's always up to you to make your own decisions, therefore you have total responsability over your actions in gambling, not being possible to blame others for your own mistakes, in case the outcomes of your decisions don't result on what you initially desired. These 'two things' which are always involved on this activity, characterizes the nature of gambling games, and corroborate with the idea they are random, unpredictable and risky.

For that reason, you should be careful when choosing if you should go through the path of 'one thing' or through the path of the 'another thing', as exemplified on your long initial post full of practical situations. Although redundant, I guess it gives a good notion of how gamblers should be more responsible and conscious that every acts bear consequences, and these consequences can't be delegated to external forces of the fate, which are supposedly out of their control.
410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No gambling today due to bitcoin high transaction fee. on: April 20, 2024, 01:51:38 PM
Current fees are just unbearable. If you deposit some satoshis to play at a casino today, you are actually going to gamble to pay for the transaction's costs, and not exactly to enjoy some profit for yourself... Better to wait for the market to settle down and adapt itself to the halving which just happened. These expensive prices must be temporary, being reverted soon, like it has always happened in Bitcoin's ecossystem. Since the market is full of hype and expectations right now due to the halving, some 'peculiar' setbacks like that should be expected.

On the other hand, since most people here earn their satoshis directly to their casinos' accounts through the signature campaigns they work for, transactions' expensive costs aren't an issue, so they are free to gamble today despite the current scenario faced by Bitcoin market. They just won't be able to cashout their funds today from the platform. Personally, I just hope it's not going to take so long until we have average fees once again.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What the Heck Do Gamblers Mean By this Phrase on: April 20, 2024, 01:30:02 PM
Maybe it's related to a superstitious belief that cards will follow a 'flow' (flux, fluidity, continuous movement) in game, if you manage to attract the correct positive energies and vibrations to yourself? If you achieve doing this, inevitably profit will reach to you. On the other hand, if you don't control your emotions inside the right vibration, the flow isn't going to bring the correct cards to your hands. Anyway, it's not really going to work like that for real, because there is a house edge playing against gamblers all the time, which puts the casino in an advatange position on long run.

Metaphysical theories go beyond what studies, researches can prove through material reality, so it's hard to assert the validity of any of those theories, which end becoming just beliefs passed from generation to generation in more superstitious and traditional communities around the world.
412  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the halving already priced in? on: April 20, 2024, 01:19:39 PM
It's halving time, but... The market isn't bullish yet. I ask myself how long it's going to take until we start seeing the impact of halving in crypto market for real. Actually, it would be too predictable to have an instant impact right now, and since it didn't happen, fear and insecurity take place in the hearts of the weakest investors who tend to sell their holdings in the first difficult they find ahead. As consequence the whales buy the dip and maximize their earnings as soon as the market gets bullish again.

Resistance level is hard to break at 64,000$, but Bitcoin is trying. Once it does, it will be good news towards more increasement in price. Support seems strong at 63,000$, so there is little margin for Bitcoin to play with for now (only 1000$). I see doubt and attentiveness in the air for the next steps Bitcoin is going to take. There is a feeling of unstability dominating crypto market, as many interests are at stake right now. It's an once in a life opportunity for many investors to become millionaires, and for few millionaires to become billionaires through Bitcoin.
413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC dip again? on: April 19, 2024, 11:53:03 PM
Bitcoin finds its support level at 60,000$ and it's strongly maintaining it. So far, I don't think we have any issues, as long as Bitcoin doesn't cross the line back to the 50,000$'s price range... If the dip is 60,000$ we are fine to revert the tendency pretty soon, reaching close to a new ATH without delays. The next days are going to be decisive, since we are in countdown for the halving event. Let's see how it's going to affect Bitcoin's price.

I'm optimistic it's going to be very positive for Bitcoin, and a scenario with price around 70,000$ shouldn't take too long to happen once again. The only thing I'm pretty sure is that once a positive trend starts once again, it's going to be instant and it's going to push the price upside in many thousands of dollars at once, before any investors can identify the trend in order to buy. So, it's important to buy coins beforehand.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tropicana, 3rd oldest casino in Vegas, shutting down after 67 years on: April 19, 2024, 11:40:45 PM
It's just too expensive to keep these white elephants running these days of digital era. The costs involved in managing these land based casinos just doesn't worth when compared to the total income they are making. There are more sustainable and profitable concepts of casino businesses available right now to operate, and that is the tendency the industry is going to take. Only very few land based casinos are going to remain. Probably the most popular and iconic ones, as a species of museum for great enthusiasts of gambling who want to feel the vibe of how it felt to gamble in the old days.

I guess many people are going to feel nostalgic about it, but that is technology in high speed moulding the world faster than our eyes could blink. People who are able to adapt themselves to these changes are going to suffer less than the rest.
415  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: April 19, 2024, 11:31:06 PM
You can check the pros and cons listed if you want to have a quick look at the negative side of the casino. It is indeed better to read some negative unfiltered reviews so you know what to expect when you try it yourself. But we can't expect every review site to get a glimpse of their actual experience because not many of them are providing comprehensive review of the games. Because you will need a lot of bankroll if you do really want to try those games. And most of the time, they have limited bankroll to begin with.
Unfiltered reviews are good to prevent having an inaccurate opinion based on biased reviews written by people who are directly connected to the casino or are paid to write such positive reviews. On the other hand, we should never disconsider the possibility of negative reviews about a casino being in fact a revenge from gamblers in loss against the casino where they have been losing money. So, they might accuse the casino of shady acts, although nothing they say is true, since they are just accusing the casino because they are mad for having lost money.

I have already seen this kind of accusation against reputable and trusted crypto casinos on this forum. And when it happens it's really problematic, because the gambler becomes a hater of the casino, becoming obsessed about ruining its reputation through repetitive attempts and persecutions. The issue is that a naive gambler can take those accusations seriously and avoid playing at a legit casino for the wrong reasons...
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways to Appreciate Your Favorite Casino Beyond Playing on: April 19, 2024, 10:05:37 PM
As a satisfied customer what can you do to show your appreciation for the casino beyond just playing?
I can show my appreciation for the casino by sharing positive reviews about their services on different websites of the internet, including their official thread on this forum, so I can help another gamblers to have some notion of what they can expect from that casino through my personal experience. Since it's a positive one, it's likely many other gamblers will wish to try the casino as well, increasing the number of active players the platform has, besides the volume of daily bets increasing as well.

Moreover, I will feel more encouraged to share my personal link to gather referrals on that respective casino, as I know the experience there is worthful and rewarding. Therefore other people like me should like it as well and become loyal users of the website. It means profit for me through referrals income, but also profit for the house, as they will get new users. Meanwhile, the referrals are likely to enjoy their experience, although I can't assure it's going to be profitable for them on this case...
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 18, 2024, 09:51:38 PM
It's called fun when your money is at stake? I see zero joy in recording losses because we're here for targets to be accomplished.
Does it worth to risk your joy in a game where you don't have any assurances if the targets chosen by you aren't going to be accomplished? If the point here is to have joy through the accomplishment of financial goals, even though you know you can't accomplish such goals on long term, doesn't look a smart idea... It's like you are driving through a route which you know there is a very high probability of not forwarding you to your destiny.

If the main objective in the mind of the gambler is to make money or grow his initial bankroll into a larger amount of money, the most advisable thing to do is to seek for investments opportunities which can be profitable the longer the money is invested, as the concept works on the exact opposite from gambling games, where the more you play, less likely it's going to be that you are going to win.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: April 18, 2024, 09:41:51 PM
First thing we need to acknowledge is that, as long as the casino have the house edge advantage, there will always be at advantage over the gambler and that is the reason their are still in business, and as a matter of fact casino are revenue oriented and for such will always put system in place to check whatever method that will always put tham in profits.
Yes, that is the decisive factor which keeps gambling profitable for the casino on the long run against players. The house edge is what keeps the industry sustainable and running, otherwise casinos would be in serious danger of going bankrupt in case players faced a strong wave of winnings, potentially having many positive outcomes on long run, since there would be a 50%/50% winning chances for both sides, casinos and players.

The fact the casino has 1% or 2% extra chances of winning makes total difference, although on short run it doesn't look a big threat for gamblers, and that is where many commit the mistake of keep playing thinking they can overcome or defeat the house, because a tiny percentage like that looks inoffensive. The point is that the more they play, more likely is that 1% extra chance the casino has against them will make total difference, especially considering larger bets, after a long loss streak.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do casinos do with inactive accounts? on: April 18, 2024, 09:31:32 PM
Some casinos let the accounts untouched forever, while others will seize the funds of the user after some time of inactivity. It really depends the casino and their current terms, which aren't static and change from times to times. For that reason, it's important to be active on the email you used to sign up on the casino, because it's through emails they will warn you about any changes made on their terms, which may imply the security and ownership of your funds when deposited on their platform.

In every cases, the most advised thing to do is to never let your money idle at casinos platforms. After gambling and finishing your session, cashout your profit and put it into good use, like into investments or cold wallets, for an example. There is no reason to let your money at a casino balance, if you don't intend playing there again any time soon.
420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely ? on: April 18, 2024, 09:16:15 PM
Small transactions on bitcoin does not make any sense now at all. Like to make a $20 amount transaction, one has to pay about same amount, $20 in fees. This does not make any sense. Have you stopped using bitcoin for small transactions completely because of this reason ?
I have never used Bitcoin for small transactions. It has never been a good alternative for such negotiations. It's better to use Bitcoin for big and valuable purchases, so the fees you are going to pay totally worth when you dilute it inside the total price of the transaction. If you send too many small transactions, you are going to waste a lot of money in fees. If that is what you are looking for, you should look for alternative altcoins which present cheaper transactions fees. At least on this matter, altcoins have a very practical function.

Anyway, if I have a large transaction to do, I won't refrain doing so just because I have to pay a 20$ fee, because compared to the total value of the transaction, 20$ won't be a significant amount of money. So it totally makes sense to keep sending these transactions across the network, despite the high fees costs. What I suggest you doing is to accumulate the maximum amount of satoshis you can before moving it to another address. Don't be in a hurry. Thankfully we are in a good moment of crypto market to hold, so you can wait for the next increasement in price which should take Bitcoin to a new ATH.
