It is not necessary for a person to be an addict to do this, which in my opinion it is what it makes it so dangerous as it is something that it could happen to anyone, most often the reason this happens is because a person was gambling at a physical casino and they were losing money already, but then the casino floor manager offered this person a few free drinks to compensate them, and eventually this person may have bought a few more drinks on their own in order to forget about their losses, but by drinking so much so quickly they became intoxicated and now they cannot think clearly, and on their drunken stupor they believe it is a good idea to gamble to try to recover what they have lost.

We can't generally treat cases like this the same and entirely judge the situation as an addiction, what if the person took the drug for one reason or the other, especially drugs like tramadol but is not consistent with it?
