Could you give an example of an offer you can't refuse?

I have a spare 5970 Wink Location: Finland

My rig with 5870s is too expensive so I'm going to leave it out.

What software do can we expect to be using on these?

Everything that works with Icarus. CG Miner for example.

I am still waiting for some real world numbers for their bitstream performance before I plunk down my order. Grin

Same here. I hope they will release some info this week.

All my miners moved to a back up pool so I guess EMC crashed?

Are you going to test hashing soon?

I assume it's still available at £400 each, if I shoot off an email?

Keep in mind that is without VAT which is about +20% in most european countries.

Am I the only one who only sees a picture on the website and have no idea what specs and/or prices the products have?

Yea Smiley

i see a manual  http://shalab.si/manual/en/index.html  Tongue

LOL. Nice one.

Never saw that before.

Says loads about their credibility and technical knowledge.

Where can I place my order, dear sir ?

I have to ask, who the f*ck are you to questions anyone? It says SCAMMER in your profile. So please be kind and GTFO.

No one has mentioned how hard it is to get a 25GHash/s GPU mining farm up and running. You need a separate place for them, your house re-wired, tons of extra cooling and probably a lot of other stuff I don't even know about.

I would say that <10GHash/s with GPUs is more profitable
Everything else with FPGAs

Are you guys at Enterpoint sure that you can deliver boards in mid June?

I'm probably just used to BFL lead time so that's why four weeks sounds impossible.

Any info about the USB programming option? It would be a lot easier to upgrade the bitsream with USB.
Is there a bitsream inside the board when you ship or is it my job as a customer to load it with JTAG? That means I need to purchase a JTAG connector?

Any recommendations for USB hub? Need to connect 25 FPGAs.

Some tips about powering them are also welcome. That ATX Psu way seems little tricky. I think it would be easier to just get those 36€ PSUs from ztex.

Soooo jealous!! I ordered few for myself but ztex said it would take a month to ship. I think I ordered too many Cheesy

It says 1.15x on the board?

So jealous. I hope my boards get shipped soon :p

$15 000 required up front. They will put you in production line when they have received your payment. No refunds.

Actually, it's $15,510 within the U.S., including shipping.

Oh, thanks for the info. You forgot to mention the VAT that private customers have to pay, at least in EU. That $510 changes the whole thing. I need to make some new calculations.

Always willing to educate where education is needed.

P.S.: Why do you call yourself dumbassfanboy?

Don't judge me. I would buy a whole pile of singles or two MiniRigs if they could deliver them faster. Correcting me about some $510 is just dumb especially when I was answering to someone else. When BFL gets their shipping schedule in order I while buy some(~20) singles.

Other companies offer downpayment plans or one can pay right before the delivery. I think it's weird that buyer has to pay 3-4 (could be five or more) months in advance. If I invest that 15k$, it makes 180$ for me in four months.

419  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 1 BTC bounty --- What is the best FPGA unit to buy? on: April 24, 2012, 05:58:32 PM
Back to the topic what is the best FPGA unit to buy?

For me it's ZTEX 1.15y. I can get them very soon and they know what they are doing. BFL says MiniRig ships in 12-15weeks and I have to pay in advance. It's probably 20weeks. Even if it's 12 weeks (not going to happen) I still can't buy anything from a company that doesn't even update their website or reveal their business license, names etc. Good luck for everyone who already have their Singles. I envy you but ordering Single right now is stupid.

ZTEX has a 2 year warranty.
I can get ZTEX 2-3 months sooner than BFL MiniRig. During those 2,5 months I have mined the price difference. And the most important thing to me: I do not have to wait FOUR MONTHS with almost 20k$ on the line.

Why is ordering a single right now stupid ? You think they are going to run away with the $$$ after they gained some reputation by selling the first batches at a loss Huh

That is highly unlikely IMHO. $20K is nothing for a business like BFL. I think they have a chance of making more money in the long run being legit than running now with your pocket change !

I'm not afraid to be scammed although they could update their website more often and give some real details about their company. In Europe companies has to put their business license number on their website. Let's forget all the fishiness and focus on the FPGA.

I can mine the price difference in four months with ZTEX board so I don't see why anyone would want to buy a single. This is assuming one would participate in a bulk order. $20k is too much for me. I don't want to wait four months. I will order some Singles/MiniRig from BFL when the lead times are better and true. Right now it's not a good option, at least not for me.

I'm not going to change the fans. I won't even use the 40mm fans. I'm just applying new heat sinks and using 120mm fan for 4 or 5 FPGAs. I can sketch a picture if that helps.
