401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OVERvalued altcoins. on: February 05, 2018, 12:37:11 PM
Name alt-coins which you would definitely not recommend to invest in to your friends, and give a reason why so.

I want to invest in 10x different alt-coins and I want to save some time by ignoring the overvalued ones.

Thank you!  Roll Eyes

-Crypto Piece
Sorry but I think all altcoins are overvalued. Most of them don't have real use and i suspect some of POS coins are classic ponzi. We should have maximum 5 altcoins + bitcoin and that's it.
Also smart contracts are not altcoins.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]CREDITS - New Blockchain for financial industry [15 Feb-28 Feb] on: February 05, 2018, 12:28:09 PM
The presence of Russian developers does not inspire confidence, although it can shoot

Russian developers are the same as European!
I entered crypto mostly because I hate politics, banks and similar stuff but from what I have seen in last couple of years crypto has more politics than it should. I never judge people who they are or from where they come, we should look at what someone did and what kind of person he is. This project is very good and no one should look at nationality and we should look forward to crypto not backward to cold war or something.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 60k$ to invest. on: February 02, 2018, 10:47:11 AM
Please dont suggest your own coin.
Im not interest in ETH and LTC and Pac, and XVG.

Take a look at stellar lumens. Nice technology and many big companies are using it.

Please dont suggest your own coin.
What kind of answer do you expect? Everyone will suggest you their own coins.

But seriously, research stellar.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic! on: February 02, 2018, 10:45:12 AM
If you bought bitcoin at $16000 and see it now at $8000, the course of action is clear: buy the same amount at $8000, and your average entry point is no longer $16000, it's (16000+8000)/2=$12000.

Don't sell, buy!
Shit this forum become ridiculous.

What kind of advice is that?

What about those people who invested hundred thousand dollars in bitcoin when it was $16K and lost half of their money already, you are suggesting them to buy for $8K because some silly math calculation (16+8)/2= 12?

Look at my calculation:

$100K invested when bitcoin was 18K = $50K loss.
Another 100K at this price = $200K invested while you are still 50K at lost. Wink
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: February 02, 2018, 10:40:44 AM
There are several options:

1) It will reach $5
2) It will reach $5 and even more
3) It will stay at 1$
4) It will drop under 1$

Pick one. No one here has crystal ball.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOQU.io scammers stole my money and banned me from their telegram group on: February 01, 2018, 01:15:26 PM
Open scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
Post all proofs.
No one will bother to read your accusation written this way.
Would you believe someone who come to forum and say "I got scammed by person X but you will have to believe me just on my words"? I don't think so.
407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of Bitcoin White? on: February 01, 2018, 12:33:26 PM
Just another useless shitcoin.
If you want to use bitcoin than use bitcoin not forked shitcoins.
That is my opinion of all bitcoin forked coins.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta on: January 30, 2018, 11:36:11 AM
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, I can't find an 'exchange' thread anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
Try here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0 but i don't think this is question about exchange, maybe your internet connection is bad or browser.
I am thinking about buying a coin which trades on Etherdelta.  But, I can't get the platform to work properly.  It's almost like it's dead........not doing anything.
Is this a common thing with Etherdelta?  Can I be doing something wrong?
I have tried with IE and Chrome (Chrome is better but still completely unusable.
Etherdelta is lagging all the time and sometimes it won't work properly. Have you tried firefox?
409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So, did anyone buy into that Ton ICO thing that was floating about? on: January 30, 2018, 11:20:31 AM
Read this: https://atozforex.com/news/gram-ico-is-a-scam-telegram-ceo-says/

Scammers are running fake ICO's calling them telegram ICO. Be very careful and trust only news you can find on official telegram site, whatever you got in email is most likely scam.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to select best bounty campaigns? Put your questions here related to bounties on: January 25, 2018, 04:13:45 PM
You should change rank requirement for signature campaigns from junior member to member because from now junior members are not allowed to wear signatures.
By the way this is not article about how to select best bounty, this is clickbait article for ICO which you are promoting in your signature.
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: stellar mobile wallet on: January 25, 2018, 04:04:03 PM
I've been waiting stellar mobile wallet, but until now it's not available. If we look at stellar.org sites, they recommend mobile wallets from third parties. But I do not want to be careless and do not want to wear it. For now i just use the web wallet and for other option maybe i will use hardware wallet like ledger nano. https://www.stellar.org/lumens/wallets/
Even they will recommend some third party wallets, I wouldn't take a risk of downloading and putting some of my XLM's there. There's no guarantee that if something happened to that "recommend" mobile wallet from the official stellar website, they can recover our funds. It's not time-consuming if you'll use a web wallet or a nano for storing it.
Web wallet is not an option because I don't trust web wallets.
I am looking for something similar to mycelium for bitcoin, if you know what I mean, I did some further research and for all stellar mobile wallets there is warning - don't store more you can afford to lose  Undecided
Thanks for answers, I hope they will release their own mobile wallet, until then i won't use third party wallets.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: stellar wallet on: January 24, 2018, 10:29:59 PM
As far as I know there is no official wallet so just choose on their site if what suits your need best. Also, IMO no need to worry about the note because they are just reminding the users that they have no control over those wallets (we are still responsible on how to protect our wallet balances). I made my wallet through Stellarterm and until this moment I didn't encounter any problem yet, though take note that it's a trading client.

What's important is you have your secret key and could always import that to another wallet anytime.
Ok, I did some let's call it research and installed web client - stronghold,  but it is more like trading site and as you said "control" i don't have private keys. Deposit few bucks, bought some stellar and installed stellar desktop client - looks ok. Transfered coins from stronghold to it, bought more of it and sent it again all worked just fine.
I don't know what security stronghold have against double spend but as I see my bitcoin transactions are still not confirmed and I have bought stellar half hour ago and already made withdrawal. Strange.

Will check stellarterm but it is web wallet, i made little typo in topic what I meant is mobile wallet not web wallet will edit topic now.  Roll Eyes
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell or hold bitcoin cash ? on: January 24, 2018, 10:21:09 PM
I would suggest you to sell BCH without loosing your capital and try to invest it in some good alt-coins.
Read bolded part. Sell bch and buy good alt coins  Grin
Buy bitcoin, let Roger take all his bcash.
I would hold on for a bit there is a chance BCH will go above 1700 today the 22nd was the day to be selling @2,033.70 if the bull have there way today they will hold of the dip till it reaches 1750.
Bitcoin will go up, bcash won't. Remember my words and thank me later.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]CREDITS - New Blockchain for financial industry [1 Feb-28 Feb] on: January 24, 2018, 10:11:58 PM
What time on 1 February does the public ICO open? The website doesn't say.
Probably at 00:00 but i don't think this is important, what difference does it make when it will start?

@credits team are you enforcing KYC to bounty participants too?
415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / stellar mobile wallet on: January 24, 2018, 08:44:50 PM
Can someone recommend me good safe and easy mobile wallet for stellar?
Do they have official wallet or something because at their site there is list of wallets but also this message:
Disclaimer: Stellar.org does not own, maintain or operate any of these wallets.
416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] UNILOT - ICO gambling platform on: January 23, 2018, 08:59:57 PM
I've seen several projects very similar to this one and I don't see any of them finished product and launched it.
Just cross trough my mind, how will you provide to players safe gambling and fairness?
I'm a little confused! Are you having a token or a coin pre sale?
It's erc20 token.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷trade.io🔷[ANN] [ICO]💲31,169,749 🔷Partner Civic & Bancor🔷HitBTC & OKEx on: January 23, 2018, 08:53:39 PM
That's interesting an exchange token on another exchange. Wouldn't it impact the other exchange?
Who cares, the more exchanges the better, I like more options, more people will trade it so price should follow.
Anyway, I received the rest of my tokens(part 2) so thanks for it, i will hold them because I believe I am holding little fortune in my hands  Cheesy
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buying NEO, Ripple, and other Altcoin with Ethereum? on: January 17, 2018, 04:46:06 PM
Lots exchanges have ether-altcoin pair so look for such exchanges.
For example you can exchange ethereum to altcoins on poloniex, but you will probably find more exchanges here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0 at this board.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BITCONNECT...Scam? on: January 17, 2018, 04:42:12 PM
What is your point of view in this issue? I want to know if this is really a Scam. My aunt invested $15,000 in it.
It was ponzi scheme and scam from the beginning.
Why she invested, didn't she read scam accusation board? All warning signs? High daily returns, high referral share and so on...
Glad it's closed, not glad that people lost money.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEW safe or not? on: January 16, 2018, 02:02:34 PM
Yesterday I've tried to log in to mew using private key and I got this message:
Quote
Paste Your Private Key
This is not a recommended way to access your wallet.
Entering your private key on a website dangerous. If our website is compromised or you accidentally visit a different website, your funds will be stolen. Please consider:
When this become not safe method? Any thoughts?
this is a security advice from the operator because using keywords is too easy to be hacked by a third party when you enter the fraud site and using Keystore / JSON Files will make your wallet safer because the hack can not copy the key
Excuse me, but what the fuck are you talking about? I was referring to message from MEW which is very clear.
Because they always claimed that they are safe and now they claim that they can be compromised.
I take it to be a warning to be careful. Make sure you are on the legitimate site if you are using private key.
Did you read what I wrote?
mew until now is the safe site, but you must care about the phishing site. don't forget for bookmark your trust site
Me not enter phishing site, me enter site safe. Me don't forget for bookmark my site trust.

I am locking this topic as I don't want to listen to more suggestions how I should be careful with links and phishing sites  Roll Eyes
