Do not buy those cards unless your seller can guarantee that they are non LHR, buy AMD instead or go for 3090 which has no LHR brands till date also we have rtx20** too, the only Nvidia GPUs I'm buying presently are the gtx variants (1660s and 1080ti ), there are few AMD GPUs that are as good as Nvidia when it comes to efficiency e.g 5500xt 5600Xt,6800xt
I would definitely not buy a 1080ti graphics card right now. They are hot and very difficult to find in good condition. If the LHR versions are limited by the hash rate on only a few algorithms, then nothing bad will happen. Miners will buy them again. I think that the miners who mine on old video cards, on the contrary, are glad that the new Nvidia video cards are going to mine other coins and not Ethereum.

Sure an hp1200w server psu with breakout board will do this no problem.
Google 1200w server psu with breakout board
The 1200 watt power I have (akasa) don't have enough 8pin plugs to power all the graphic cards since you need two 8pin plugs to power a single Vega card, this is a big problem right now as I have to get another power I guess In your case, either you use 2 ATX power supplies or order a server power supply with the required number of connectors. It is better to start 2 power supplies with this synchronizer. https://aliexpress.ru/item/32834557384.htmlYou can buy a second power supply for your mining farm

An adapter will be the best solution, but when it is not available in stores, you will lose your profit. If your power supply is not under warranty, then you can buy any 8-pin adapter at your nearest store and then cut off your 6-pin connector on the power supply and solder the 8-pin connector. The wires must be soldered and insulated with heat shrink

I carefull sanded the crater out of the heatsink and VERY carefully sanded the GPU heatspreader using very fine sandpaper. Completely removed the heatsink crater but left a much smaller pit in the heatspreader as I wasn't game to go too deep. Then I had to deal with cleaning the microscopically fine metal powder that was undoubtedly left on the card. Put it all back together and... well definitely an improvement. Instead of running 10 degrees hotter it's now only about 4 degress hotter.
Definitely nothing wrong with the fans and I can't see anything amiss with any of the components. The other 7 cards in the rig are fine so it's not the power supply. The reported watts is normal and the total power drawn by the rig from the socket is normal and the card had been running 24/7 for a month or two before I got around to cracking it open to see why it was 10 degrees hotter, so I expect it will continue to run fine especially as it's now only 4 degrees hotter. Appears to be solely a heating issue caused by a defect in the heatsink or heatspreader, maybe an airpocket, who knows. Up until a few months ago, it had been running pretty much non-stop for 4 years at a normal temperature. Interestingly, it's winter here so temperature-wise, it actually occurred when it less stressed than 6 months ago.
Change the thermal pad on this video card at the beginning of summer and install additional cooling on the other side of the video card. This is a little sisit the temperature. Your radiator may have been made of substandard materials. I hope that your video card is the last one in the farm, because the last video card always has the highest temperature

https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrateIf you look at this hashrate graph, you can see that Chinese miners have begun to connect again from other countries. Today there will be an event that all miners did not want to see. The profit will fall for these two reasons if the price does not rise again. In a few days we will have new profit statistics.

Can thermal throttling cause GPU to lose hashrate? I got a used 1660 from someone and I've noticed that it gets hotter easier than other cards in the rig, also even when I tweaked the card to 50watt consumption it still gets 53°C while others are at 45°C, also no matter what I try with this card I can't get pass 21MH, it has hynix memory and I've used -502 and other but no luck, can the heat become the culprit here?
The gtx1660 has such a low hash rate on Ethereum. Therefore, for mining it is better to take the gtx1660 super. If the video card overheats, then change the thermal paste, look for analogs of the MX-4, and the temperature will decrease by 2-5 degrees. This is also a good purchase if you bought it inexpensively.

As this PSU had evident thermal regulation problems, the seller fully refund me. Wanted to share it. Waste of time, but not of money. Thanks for your help ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I would pay extra $ 100-150 more and buy a new ATX power supply unit Corsair for 1200 watts or 2 Corsairs for 750 watts. I would buy a server block only if I need a lot of 6-pin or 8-pin connectors and ATX blocks do not have enough of them. You should not save money when buying power supplies, the losses can be much greater.
$100-150 extra for Corsair ? Huh it's more like $300 Indeed I need 12x 6/8 pin connectors Stop buying chinese craps!
Buy EVGA, Seasonic, Corsair.
Troll ? This 1200FB is known to be the best mining one. Unfortunately everybody need it, so it becomes hard to get a rock stable or brand new one. Not ready to spend $350 in 70% exploited PSU Is there any PSU not chinese in the world ? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I dont have any merits to give. But when I get to my main account I will do so. Thanks for follow up. I have in my collection 2 chinese psu they are working fine many years now. But it doesnt mean all chinese psu are good(it is wiritten 1600w but noway after i reach 1000w it gets hot so im kepping them at 800-900w. you must test before buy or buy 1 and test. then order 2nd. Im using them for cheap cards polaris. After i started using server psus im not looking anymore at high price psu. im buying normal 750w and + server psu doing my own cables even doing add2psu by myself. It all depends on the offers on the market. Now you can drink good blocks with a 5-10 year warranty in any store. It won't be a mistake to overpay the extra $ 100 for a good PSU. When new branded power supplies are very expensive, then it is already worth looking at what is sold in China.

I think you'll get the same performance. The main thing here is which interface is more convenient for you. Since I have been using Hive OS and RaveOS for a long time, I do not need to learn MMPOS

Are there no LHR RTX3070Ti and RTX3080Ti ? The reason I asked is these cards aren't labeled LHR on every crypto calculators I know, only 3070,3080,3060 has LHR on them, is this true or not? The reason why I'm not buying this new Nvidia cards is because I don't want to end up with LHR cards
https://www.julianocaju.com.br/info/lhr.asp-" all 3070Ti and 3080Ti are LHR" I did not plan to buy these cards, but what I heard is that the hash rate on the Ethereum algorithm and Ergo (ERG) is decreasing on them. Please see the reviews for the model you want to purchase before buying.

I think that you don't need to sell all the mined coins. You need to agree with yourself that you will not sell 30-40% of the coins before the halving and will keep them in anticipation of the best price

Would you buy p106-100 or gtx1060 for ETH mining in 2021? If yes can you give me some reasons? The thing is these are the only cheap GPUs in my country right now, these cards are for 300$ each and after telling a friend he said 300$ is much for those GPUs
What is your price for 1 kilowatt of electricity? I sold my 1066 video cards a long time ago. Now you can mine a lot of coins on them, but I would bargain with the seller about the price, provided that these video cards are in good condition. For myself, I would not buy these video cards, but if you really want to mine and there are no other options, then look at the statistics after the London hard fork, and then make a decision.

Between P106-100 and gtx1060 6gb which is a better investment? I heard they are roughly the same when it comes to power consumption for mining ETH, is there any advantage over the other?
Why this cards? They are the worst in Nvidia series cards that can mine crypto coins today, you can buy rx570 with same money that can get you a gtx1060 6gb and rx570 can do 30-32mh till date, the type of Nvidia cards I can get for mining is 1650 super upward Such a hash rate will be very lucky if your video card has Samsung memory and it is desirable that its manufacturer was Sapphire. In other cases, 27-30, depending on the manufacturer and the cooling system. But the prospects for mining new coins from these video cards are very weak

I heard that one can still solo mine ETC with about 500MH to 1GH and get block solved every 7 days and if you are lucky you can solve two or even three blocks a week which ultimately means you earn more profits this way, how true is this? Anyone into solomining here ?
Look at the statistics of miners on solo pools. These statistics are public. I tried mining, but my greed defeated me after a failure, and I stopped mining on solo pools. Maybe you're in luck. Ethereum classic has few block fees, so it is not as interesting for solo mining as Ethereum

Now it may not be worth buying the P106-100 and gtx1060 6gb because they are very old. gtx1060 has proven to be very reliable, but very hard to find in good condition. P106-100 has been mining for 4 years. Buying these video cards now doesn't make much sense, unless you are offered a good price with a payback of 4-5 months Unless if they bought it in cheap price why not mine with this card? Actually the hash for p106 must be around 29 to 31mhs Stanlo asked the question: "Between P106-100 and gtx1060 6gb which is a better investment?" 24 megahashes can be obtained from these video cards, 25 mechahesh at high memory frequencies, which should not be done on old video cards if you want to mine Ethereum before changing its algorithm.

I wish people like you worked in AMD company ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) That would be much better rx 580 with gddr6 memory instead making this crappy cards. If AMD will sell you the same video card for 5 years, you think that you are being deceived. I bought the first PX 488 cards for about $ 350, so AMD is trying to close the price range by releasing new models. But I'm very interested in what results miners will get from these video cards.

How about using double power with add2psu? I've watched few videos on YouTube and they claim this is even the safest way to power more GPUs on a single motherboard
What kind of power supply do you have and how many power connectors do you have on your graphics cards? Calculate what is more profitable for you. I would also buy 1 Corsair power supply because it is very reliable. https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/hxi-series-2017-config/p/CP-9020139-EUAnd I sold your power supply if it was from AeroCool and so on.

Correct. But at least you can calculate and make a simple plan from both mining and holding and compare it. First, you can try to buy one mining rig or hardware and run it in your home for at least 6 months. I think the cost will not be more than $5,000 so you still have the other $5,000.
You use the other $5,000 to buy bitcoin, ethereum or other coins which you think will increase in the next 3-6 months and just hold it. I assume you do not just buy all of the $5,000 at once and will spread for many order buy so you can get lower price every time you bought.
You will see which will give you more profit. Maybe the advantage of mining is that we can change the coin that we want to mine, but that will depend on how high the hardware specification we use to determine how much reward we will earn from mining.
You can buy any one mining farm for 1 purpose - to gain practical experience. I have seen many newbies who bought farms, but these farms did not work for them for various reasons. Now home mining is not very profitable due to competition large mining companies. I do not invest in mining now, because video cards and powerful power supplies are very expensive. But I'm looking at the secondary market offers. These offers are not adequate, I can overpay 20% and buy new equipment in the store ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Brave Chinese people have done it again, I ordered for a 8 pcie slots mining motherboard and I waited for good four weeks to get the motherboard here only to find out that the motherboard has only two slots, one pcie x16 and one x1 slot, ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) are Chinese people now scammers or what? Can you suggest a store where you can buy all this? Are you looking at market prices for the item you are ordering? If your motherboard costs $ 100 from most vendors, and you buy it for $ 50-60, then you shouldn't be surprised when you open the package. It will be a non-working motherboard or other model I don't buy the motherboard at a cheap price, I paid 120$ for that motherboard from China and it end up to be a motherboard with two slots for GPU, I've already returned and I'm waiting for refund so no problem This is a big problem. If your 8 video cards do not work, and the profit is $ 2-4 per day from each video card, then you do not earn at least $ 150 every week. Therefore, I am looking for components in my city, and from China I order only for the reserve. But I do not collect more than 6 video cards in a farm, because a motherboard for 6 video cards can be bought from stock in any computer store.
