Dailybtc scratch-off has been scratched off the list for no longer giving out free bitcoins.

DailyBtc free scratch-off ( discontinued )

4002  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoins? on: October 21, 2012, 04:06:52 PM
The scratch off still is not working and does not appear to be paying any winners on the free scratch off card.  I have seen it this way for a few days now.  Perhaps someone else can verify as well?

I gave DailyBtc free scratch-off three days to see if it was temporary.
They have now been scratched off the list.
4003  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Free Bitcoins Listing on: October 21, 2012, 03:58:07 PM
Bitcrate still has some coins available to give away.

New option on Daily Bitcoins

Delay payment to minimize transaction fees

You can delay execution of your payments for any period of time and send them later in a bulk to save on the transaction fees, charged by Bitcoin network when you spend small payouts too soon after receipt.

You will be able to execute delayed payments at any time on the Payments page.

Interesting.  It is also good for seeing all the payments, including the total, made to a given address you used there.

Daily Bitcoins motivated me to finish my implementation of similar feature at Bitcoiner.net. You can select if you want a payout when receiving prize or schedule payout at http://bitcoiner.net/check. Also you can see your accumulated bitcoins there.

And also Bitcoiner has a twitter account now!

Cool.

BitCrate is filled again with coins (it was empty earlier today)

Aways good to have something to bash if ones bunny finishes in last place.   Wink

Here is an updated list ( the ones you had in quotes ) with me filling in ones you were missing after.
I removed the dashes from your list to avoid them being confused with a negative symbol, which
some entries have, like the ones on Zhifu.

The one with the question mark is one I couldn't find. That coordinate seems inaccessible.
You sure it isn't the "298 127" one I had and you were missing? If it is correct could you
perhaps give the coordinates for the key access point(s), like a land bridge or mountain pass etc.,
that one needs to use to access that area?

If anyone has statue locations that are missing please post their coordinates in this thread.

( Note that some islands, like the island of Tao, have statues that look the same as these but don't give out gifts. )

I was able to decrypt using openssl on the command line, as Richy_T posted, perfectly.

I booted up linux using virtualbox in Windows 7.   I typed "openssl" in a console and
saw that it was already installed; got the openssl> prompt.

I copied the encrypted key from the backup pdf I had in Windows and put it in a file called key.txt.
I put that in a folder shared between that virtualbox linux OS and Windows.

I typed out the command like in Richy_T's post:
openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -in key.txt -a -k password

Providing the proper path to my key.txt file and copy-pasting the password from
the password manager I have running in Windows 7.  I got the decrypted key and
then copy-pasted that back into the form at the blockchain.info webpage in firefox,
also running in Windows.  It worked!

It is so cool to be able to run multiple operating systems on the same computer
at the same time, and to be able to seamlessly share files, and copy-paste data,
between them.    Cool

- You can go to one of the 30 Statues and request free Bitcoins

There are 30 statues now?  There were only 24 last I checked ( 6 on the main island and the rest on the newbie island ).
Do you happen to have the coordinates for them all?  ( you can type /loc to display the coordinates ).

If you post those coordinates here be sure to include a Bitcoin donation address as well.   Wink

And herbs can range in value as high as 1 BTC:

it might be a good haul   Smiley ) and I encourage anyone who uses those to tip you as well.

CoinAd's back.

Major improvements in user login.
If you're logged in, you can see in the home page if you can request a new payment without clicking anything.

LTC works and is solid.

Lol

Works as well as Bitcoin.  Because it is Bitcoin, with a few tweaks to make it seem like something new for all the early adopter jonesers,
but doesn't add anything significant.  So it is as solid as solidcoin.  The fact that a scambag like Goat has taken an interest in it is excuse
enough for me to avoid it.

This may help:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75430.msg837238#msg837238

Though it contains a link to the strongcoin which you can't see because they have an expired certificate. To save you some hassle, here is the meat: They have an online decrypter (which will be subject to the same certificate issues presumably) or you can use command-line tools:
Quote
Decrypting on the command line

We use the Gibberish AES Javascript library to generate our AES encryption. To get this to work on the command you need to cut and paste the private key data into a text file and preserve the line breaks.

You can then run the following command. (we have the key stored with line breaks in key.txt).

openssl enc -d -aes-256-cbc -in key.txt -a -k password

And you should get something like the results below.

Images missing, sorry.

openssh is available trivially for Linux or probably the easiest way for Windows is via Cygwin. Alternatively, you could maybe get a free shell account somewhere.

I notice there seems to be a few online decrypters, but I might try what you present above just to try it out.  I have a few different distros of linux that I run under/within/along-side Windows with VirtualBox.

Thanks
