4001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: October 26, 2020, 09:18:54 PM

Define "important"? If that question just raised because OP thinks that fiat is overkilled in the crypto-community then the discussion doesn't make sense.

Clearly, there is a misunderstanding on OP's part wherein he thinks that most people are putting too much hype on bitcoin while at the end of the day, they will convert it to fiat. First of all, try to research why the crypto-community grows over time. What's the reason? Why they don't like to be involved in banks? Why they are putting money on crypto? Why crypto-trading grows?

No need to go technical deeply about the advantage of using bitcoin and fiat. People have different preferences.
It is just people (most) are considering Bitcoin and crypto as a milking asset not as a currency to use to buy stuff, for bills just like what they do with FIAT money. And why they were converting it into FIAt is because of its higher value. People consider both Bitcoin and FIAT to have an important role in different aspects, as an investment and as a currency, respectively.
4002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: October 26, 2020, 05:05:25 PM
snipped...

When it comes to Gambling we can always found by definition the word risky and theres no such thing as safe bet in gambling. Gambling was 50/50 probability of chance of losing and winning. Let's always keep in mind that we should only bet what we can afford to lose and of course always consider on how would you cope up when you lose in sports betting. Each sports betting has their own kind of risk like casinos and even team sports betting

Many people know about the risk of playing gambling, but many people are still playing games without thinking much if they lose too much money. If people know how much money they should use in gambling, they will not use too much to expect to get a win. For example, they will only use less than $50 to playing gambling, and before the money is gone, they will stop gamble to avoid losing that $50. So their safe bet will be less than $50.
Many were get into gambling because they neglected to see the risk behind because they are much focusing on winning which is only at 50/50 chances. I don't get mad at those who think that way because it was their choice. Besides, too many times that they suffered losses but then, they still come back and lose again. It never changes their mind because of one reason, and that is to win the jackpot.
4003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Blown Gambling Facts on: October 26, 2020, 04:30:12 PM
  • The first online casino was launched by Microgaming in 1996 in Antigua, and had 18 casino games. Source
^It's been 24 years when online gambling was first launched and now there are hundreds of thousands of online gambling sites circulating around the world.

This what we called development. You can't certainly say that over 10 years there is nothing to see any improvements, and we have it yeah.
The growing number of online and offline casinos means that many people are discovering gambling by now. More people are engaged on the internet which a tool that helps them to find gambling and have them feel good and relaxing while staying at home or anywhere. And I expecting more casinos to open in the public in the years to come.
4004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we back to the bull market? on: October 26, 2020, 03:35:17 PM
At the moment I'm not convinced that we are in bull market. It's still too early to conclude if the price will continue to grow, how much and for how long. To my opinion price will continue to fluctuate and we'll have some price range in between 11k and 12k, maybe even until the end of the year.
Maybe they are so excited but I supposed to think the same with them.
As bitcoin price reaches $10k, I already think that we are already in the bullish season. Because I'd never think that it soars like that despite the economic crisis due to the pandemic situation. We got $10k, $11k, and finally, we got $12k plus, and so much hope for the trend will continue and possibly make for a $14k breakthrough. Of course, I'm not in 100$ believing but I couldn't make myself as well to pull-out my trust in it as it happens already in the previous months.
4005  Other / Archival / Re: Again nobody needs DEXs? on: October 26, 2020, 03:03:54 PM

And should anyone be surprised by this?
I would be willing to bet that if we do a polygraph test more than 99% of the people using crypto will have to admit that the most important thing is profit and they don't care a bit about the rest, and it's pretty normal, decentralization is not buying you a new car, some fantasy token might.
Indeed, profit is what they after why they come and risk in the crypto world that even they don't have assurance but then, they are still willing to gamble here for they think about easy money, huge market gains. And that 1% left could be you (and me) and some of the common traders who think that DEXes has nearly become obsolete as CExes moving forward.

Well, I don't think also that people care much for anonymity that DEXes may have but instead, they are willing to lose it just for money. That is very influential...
4006  Economy / Speculation / Re: History repeats itself? on: October 26, 2020, 02:17:04 PM
Is that even legal for creating a chart like that lol
seems odd to me personally.
Can we relate the invention situation 11 years ago to today situation? Especially during pandemic?
Even a perfect formed chart can still go into wrong direction right?
Everybody seems loved to referring current situation to where bitcoin going to the moon , i am a little bit concern regarding this.
When our confidence has reached the top but the reality dumped it all , dont forget in the recent days there is a lot of big company hold large amount of bitcoin that can always splashed to market.
Have nothing to make deal with those presentations. Every day it changes, the trend changes as well. Because even me, I don't think also that the market flows today will likely behave the same thing it does before, that seems impossible since then.

If the market reaching for another ATH, it was a lucky day for crypto and for everyone. To be honest, it is hard to expect it especially in the current situation that we have facing today. The struggles, the pandemic haven't yet got over but I was then truly amazed how the market behaves differently, opposite to what we are expecting most. But that is not the reason that I should believe history repeats itself.
4007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My opinion on Airdrop or Bounty hunters who dump token after the campaign on: October 26, 2020, 01:44:47 PM
It was stressful to think about bounty and about the airdrop. They are no good this time especially for airdrop and I don't know why people still participating in airdrops since they know what could be the possible ends, they are actually wasting their time on that. We can't blame others, that even the one who runs bounty and airdrop campaign but definitely just ourselves. Though we condone such activities, however, we can't hold innocent and no-how individuals to take the risk.

And my opinion of this, better to stay away from them. Any promotion that runs unquestionably should be ignored and much more for any airdrops.
4008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unacceptable attitudes from new project teams on: October 25, 2020, 11:35:24 PM
Bounty managers of this forum it's time to wisen up, I know few bounty managers are already doing this but majority aren't,  top rated crypto projects that raised millions of dollars successfully are finding it very very hard to pay Bounty Hunters their tokens after all the hardwork talkless of med rated crypto projects, they feel reluctant to pay bounty hunters reward so I'm begging you guys to start compulsory Escrow, if every bounty managers they seek ask for Escrow they won't have any choice but to comply
It is all about money offer. It is also about on BM discretion to accept the offer or decline it if knowing there is unreliable thing possibly to happen just like scam or Ponzi scheme promotion. The bad thing is that many new BM hasn't done thorough research before accepting the offer that is why many of them had been fooled by the scam projects.

And to talk about escrow, yeah, we can assure about payment but it just stops there. What bounty hunters trying to know is that they are assured that the project is already listed to an exchanger where they can make a trade of their rewards once they received it.
4009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think will become next Ethereum? on: October 25, 2020, 10:51:43 PM
For my ends, I'd never think that there is next ETH to appear and replace its capability because there is nothing that could cope up with its place.

I can remember before someone asking "What is the next Bitcoin?" The reality is that there is no way to find another coin that replaces another. They have differences, uniqueness each coin and therefore, I couldn't imagine another coin that replaces ETH, the same thing that EOS or XLM that many are commended. Coz I know that only ETH exist in the crypto space, the value of this platform can't be compared to another IMO.
4010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 25, 2020, 01:36:55 PM
snipped...

That is so true.

It is not that easy to divert doing things especially if you are used to doing that. Things like it have been a part of your life for some time now. It won't stop that quickly that is why you need to take these small steps. Willpower is the first one since you should also admit to yourself that you are addicted since if you will be denying that, you will find no reason to avoid gambling.

Gambling is one very hard vice that one needs to control, otherwise it will control you. I have seen many stories of failed ambitions to be rich, broken families, riches to rags stories, and many others that are very unfortunate and very sad to think about. If you are unable to control this vice and be able to gamble strategically, then maybe it is time to quit gambling altogether. Find other sources of entertainment, get a very busy hobby, learn a new skill, and also share experiences to other gamblers that might need assistance in quitting.
That it sees that gambling addiction has a lesser chance to get out of hell. Just like what @Twinkledoe said, even quitting smoking is really hard how much more if we are deeply addicted to gambling.

All of these are base on our control. If can prevent it at first, can't fall into that grave of addiction but if we let it happens it sure there is a place for us. That diversion still depends on how we seriously changing our old habits into a new one. It needs effort and patience, and that it need also support from family and friends.
4011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot - new top ten member on: October 25, 2020, 10:47:31 AM
It's shocking to me that Polkadot made it to top ten, I have other new projects that I thought would make it to top ten but it's all dreams, I never thought this Polkadot is that good, I have too high expectations for coins like Aave and Dia but they failed to reach that expectation.
Because of huge numbers of altcoins platform existed, you'll never notice that someone out there are good because we mostly focusing on the old platforms. What Polkadot did is to show that they are more than a dead project created, they have the potential, and certainly, they can compete with others even though they are new to the market with a small number of investors.

However, just like we mostly do with the other platforms and other forms of investment, we still be careful in choosing a project to risk with. Even me, I wasn't confident as well with Polkadot at first but it seems they are doing good and I don't feel any regrets investing in them.
4012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price has surpassed $12k!!! on: October 25, 2020, 09:58:20 AM
We can't ask for more if BTC stick to $13K (but I doubt), sentiments is leaning towards positive and the greed index is very high again. Meaning that people are in the FOMO and doesn't want to miss a thing and wanted to roll with crypto market specially BTC. So coming November, I'm expecting a continue price increase despite the looming US presidential elections, we might end at around $15k this 2020.
The current market momentum getting stronger day by day, keeping such a thing makes a way for an incoming huge hike. US election, PayPal collaboration, and many others, which I'm so positive that we gonna hit back to $14k-$15k range in the coming days. But then, I hope people won't get weaken their hands if they saw declines along the way as common things to happen in the market. And lastly, don't let FOMO drives them badly because this is the reason why many had badly ended their life in crypto investment.

4013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: October 24, 2020, 01:54:31 PM
I appreciated this much, OP makes help others to avoid getting wreck by these copied sites.

This gives awareness to everyone, I hope newcomers will stop by in this thread to take a look if they are somewhat using any of them. I supposed to think as well if someone from the team to any of these gambling sites tries to clear it out and provide the solid proof of legality otherwise, the negative stance against them will no longer be changed.

4014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 24, 2020, 10:28:19 AM
In some countries (even in our country), the government had started imposing taxes on all online activities, and might possible that Online gambling will be included as they know that this involves huge money. Well, I'm not sure if they can fully regulate such activities if a site runs illegally. This is a big challenge this time because as the pandemic hits, more online gambling sites exist, and the sad thing is that many of them are illegal.

I don't think this could help to pay covid problems but this creates a huge problem in the community where scamming rises.
4015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did bitcoin lose its value? on: October 24, 2020, 09:45:10 AM
I don't think about its losing value but rather to think about an increase in market price. If we consider the current market demand, number of users/investors, it certainly make a reason to become possible. And as the adoption driven so strong, the more it gains demand and pushes the price to climb up high than of before. In fact, if we look into the chart we can see there is a massive increase in price, it won't just a magic but this the real thing it happens to the crypto market.
I wonder also why people will always think negatively when seeing a declining sentiment on the market.

The price do ups and downs, that is how it works, and all of these things aren't a reason to think that Bitcoin will losing its value. Yeah, and what we've seen in the chart makes everything clear and enough to tell that Bitcoin has a growing market design, not a losing ends.We suffered such a bearish season for some times but we can still recover.
4016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your keys, your bitcoin? on: October 23, 2020, 10:25:39 PM
The chances of this happening (two people having same private key) is very low. The purpose of the other party having access to the key is to steal coins. You can't trace that except it's an empty wallet.
Not even a single chance that private keys will be the same. As we created a new Bitcoin wallet, it generates also a different keys that is why there is no possibility that it will be similar to the previous wallets created.

What the court advised in the article is about keeping your coins in where you can control them and not be like the guy that sued Coinbase and lost the case because he left his coin there. He learned the hard way.
If you have your keys, you have you Bitcoin as well, but if that keys hands to another person, definitely it won't be your anymore. Just like making a buying/selling stockl to other person. Even without the law stated like that, opnce it is not at your control, it can't be yours then. The fact that someine hacks your account, stole you bitcoin, and stransfer to another wallet, you can never get it back for sure.
4017  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 23, 2020, 01:37:30 PM
The government controls the FIAT printing process but they don't have such a thing to crypto. That makes a huge difference and I don't think we need to complain about it or otherwise, we want crypto to be controlled in corrupt hands. I don't think it was a failure in crypto ends, instead of being happy why we keep that feature. They keep printing FIAT because that is the need of the community, are we expecting that they will stop doing it? Not for sure...

Better not to compared FIAT and crypto, likely they are different from each other.
4018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies have the lowest transaction fees? on: October 22, 2020, 02:18:24 PM
I usually use XRP to transfer when there is a surge of BTC fees. Not only it save fees by using XRP feels it was instant transfer which I appreciated it much. And I hope you will try it by yourself just to find it works.

BTC converted to XRP and then get back BTC for holding, feels that was a pretty good idea. Well, I'm sure that the others in here are adoing the same. Anyway, it won't make any problem for me since our thrid party coin exchanger supports BTC and XRP, and any time I can easily convert it to what coin I want, not sure to the other countries.
4019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 21, 2020, 09:16:03 PM
Interesting.
Is that (the bolded) just an observation or it certainly happens? Will be disappointed if it does happen in major football/soccer leagues.

Sure, it happens in major football leagues a lot. It's more like match fixing problem rather than ratings though. We know certified cases in Italian league etc., big clubs got relegated after that scandal was exposed.
I don't think NBA has that kind of problem because it's bigger platform and different challenge but I believe that happens occasionally and it's almost impossible to prove.
It is a big shame for the NBA if does it happens. I can't tell or to believe that it actually exists in basketball, a sort of manipulation, well, it talks differently when it comes to money and how the business moving on but doubtedly it happens.

For a game that has been set-up already, will it sees to be boring. I'm not sure how both teams dramatically performing the game until the end which very unlikley to see when both teams wanted to gain winnings and championship. So for now, I'm holding the trust that NBA haven't rigged.
4020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Towards another gambling site. on: October 20, 2020, 11:26:52 PM
Hello friend.
My question is: there is something to learn about roulette gambling, or just luck in this game.
Roulette is a very basic game that you can play with, and I believe this is a game of luck despite of having many strategies before well that's not proven as effective. I do love roulette, you can still have fund on this game while waiting for the comeback of the football games especially your favorite team.
...
Though we think that is a very basic game, however, we need also to study it first. It was a luck-based game as well but playing with it without enough knowledge you'll just make yourself compromised and ended up losing.

Anyway, it wasn't hard for OP to learn it since he has been in gambling for quite some time. Only he needs to know more about roulette, asking for more strategies, well, I believe that he'll be making way and fun of it.
