4001  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $1000 on: September 15, 2020, 06:54:54 AM
1. May I ask what your target profit is here?
I'm planning to make it until I don't get rekt. I'm thinking of it as a compounding balance, and every profit is reinvested. As long as I can.

2. Are you planning to set up a pool for community trading too?
I would want to but probably not right away. I want to be sure that funds are safe as well. It's going to be quite tricky. Trading Futures is risky, and you could get liquidated.

3. Will you be sticking to Binance for this particular trading challenge?
Yes. I would be sticking to Binance Futures for the foreseeable "future" (get it? Lol)

A couple of months back, I saw a trader's story (not here) turn it's $1,000 into $100,000 in 3 months, if I remember correctly, from playing in crypto and in stocks. It could be true of just made up because the strategy and the account/s wasn't made public.
That's a fantastic story, though. I hope that could happen to me. Let's see my progress in the future.

@crwth I've always considered gunboat but never managed to work out how reliable it was for a good trading strategy. Licences seem quite cheap though but even the best trading strategy can liquidate everything in futures trading with a big crash(l (normally because ethe exchange can't process stuff in time). Are you able to set a risk tolerance so it only trades 25% of funds at a max of 25x for example?
It's a good investment, especially if you have a trading strategy that you want to automate. With all the various indicators and capabilities of Gunbot, it can surely accommodate whatever you need when it comes to trading. The community is open to suggestions as well if you need a specific indicator or feature that would improve trading.

You could set 25% of your capital as your TRADING_LIMIT. So for every trade, it would use 25%. For the leverage side, it's on the exchange side, so you set it manually. For other exchanges like Bitmex, you would include Leverage as a function. Almost everything can be automated like the addition of pairs with a specific volume etc. It can be done. I would be happy to assist you if ever you are interested.
4002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 14, 2020, 10:41:26 PM
Wow so it isn't a joke right? So even spider could be used for a bets. But personally I don't want bet in a fight between animal or even insects it's very sad to see Sad
We Humans are quite interesting, you know? Anything that involves randomness or potential profit is going to be interesting in the eyes of humans, IMO. Would you rather bet on a fight between human to human? Just like UFC?

Nowadays this is a very rare form of business since most of time they get arrested and fighting dog just dies Sad
It is illegal, right? The dogfighting? You know that’s why it’s rare? Lol. Anyways, i hope they don’t just forget the dog and leave it as is.

4004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Automated Trading Challenge - Profit at $1,188.91 - Profit 36.5715% - 2 Months on: September 14, 2020, 03:28:13 PM
It has been a while that I have done this again. This is my old topic about Trading Challenge. I believe that it's the strategy that I'm using for the exchange, BitMex, is not effective during that time. So now I'm going to try this again with a different exchange with a different strategy.

Now, for this challenge, I'm trading now in Binance Futures I started with $2000

I am now using a different trading strategy from before and it is Market Maker Strategy with Gunbot Ultimate

I started a week ago and I made sure that everything is air-tight with the settings.

As of February 10, 2021

This is possible because of Gunthar and https://gunthy.org. If you guys are interested in this type of tool for trading, don't hesitate to message me for more information. I would be willing to help you guys out.

*Disclaimer: Futures trading is dangerous and you could get rekt easily if you have done it incorrectly. Make sure to strategize and know how you are going to trade and make sure you implement it.
4005  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB]Discounted Ledger Nano S on: September 14, 2020, 03:19:57 PM
I have a Ledger Nano S that I am not using anymore (because I have a Nano X) and I already made the deal with cabalism13 through PM’s. I making this post for reference as well that this transaction happened. I am just about to ship it tomorrow to him. Will update this soon.

Okay cool, thanks for the update. Didn't really wanna ship there myself, but was willing to if it helped this guy out.
I feel like he is going to appreciate your help, for sure. It's going to be quite tricky shipping stuff, especially during these times, you will never know it might get delayed or get blocked by the customs here.

I hope nothing goes wrong with the shipment for me tomorrow. It's a good thing that its domestic shipping rather than international.

4007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing your Crypto in Exchanges is better than using Cold Wallets! on: September 14, 2020, 02:31:54 AM
There are many things that you could consider when you are going to choose to HODL in an exchange or in your crypto-wallet in which you hold the private keys. Just like in your article, the main aim of "YOU," as the HODLER, aims to profit yearly or believe that it would MOON in the long run.

What I mean by this is that, if you are aiming to profit by a certain amount of time, HODLing in a custodial wallet would be ideal and possibly *stake* your money and freeze it for a time. The con with this is that you don't get your private key, and if the exchange goes down, your capital will go down as well.

Technically, if you are a believer in Bitcoin or an Altcoin that you are in, you HODL it in your cold-wallet and not worry about any changes in price; just your amount of coins is what matters. Maybe you could continuously invest in it and have more of it. You will never know if it will take higher in price or not, but you would accept it since you're HODLING it.

If I am going to choose between the two, I'm making sure that the funds that I have in the crypto exchange could be gone and would accept it. It's a risk, but you can't gain anything if you don't risk and learn from your mistakes.
4008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without setting stop loss (Risky or Not)? on: September 13, 2020, 02:28:51 PM
It depends on how much you are willing to risk. You should always remember that no matter what strategy you have and what approach you have to the crypto market, the important thing is the risk and capital management so that you could continuously profit and possibly compound it if you have that.

Stop losses are essential if you encounter an unexpected move with the market, if you don't have SL, it could ruin your whole account if that happens. In addition to that is to accept your losses and be emotionless.

Maybe you are interested in a trading tool like Gunbot
4009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Send bitcoin to a address using paypal on: September 13, 2020, 06:12:23 AM
Maybe you could redirect them to BestChange and check what they could give and receive in return like PayPal USD for BTC, etc. I saw an exchanger there in which who is capable based on the website. I didn’t fully click it but I think the fee is quite high though. Maybe they could check it out.
4010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it getting late to buy crypto again? on: September 12, 2020, 10:05:08 AM
This has always been discussed and the answer is the same as well, it's going to be dependent on the move of the market. There are a lot of people who profited from those drops and some lost as well, just like me, I lost lol. Anyways, it's best to invest if you have spare money to BTC especially if you believe in cryptocurrencies.
4011  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 6 confirmations questions on: September 11, 2020, 11:31:28 PM
Just like what others said, you only need one confirmation. If you have a wallet that receives a transaction, usually, it shows you a clock that is filling up while you get more confirmation. In the settings, IIRC, you could set the amount of proof you need for ”you” to consider it's a full-proof transaction.

On the other hand, if you have a custodial wallet, it depends on how many confirmations it receives before they credit your account. In my experience, wallets require 3-6 confirmation to be credited that amount. For services, one confirmation is enough.
4012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful when you play games with your coins! on: September 11, 2020, 04:22:14 PM
So basically, you are saying that we shouldn't forget the profit and loss aspect of our life? Sometimes there are still things better to think of instead of the PnL in life. Maybe if you are running a business, yes, but for relationships, it's quite bad. I disagree that there are a profit and loss in anything that we do; that's just greediness

Limiting yourself with the possibility of total loss could help you in the long run when it comes to gambling, but for hard work, I think you shouldn't be limiting.
4013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My experience is gambling on: September 11, 2020, 06:44:34 AM
It seems that with your experience, you have been numb about all the losses because you are getting used to it and forgot how much you should thank your money because you have it. I felt like this recently because I had a significant loss of my account, and I guess I didn't know how to react. I realized some things like:
  • You know the risk, you know that you can lose all your funds
  • You continue even after significant losses

I think at the end of the day, as long as you know what you are risking and how much of it you can afford, I believe you can be successful, maybe not right now but soon. You won't gain anything if you don't risk anything.
4014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Are Trying To Break Into This Bitcoin Wallet Holding $690 Million on: September 11, 2020, 01:13:02 AM
How can one be so sure that it's for that wallet, though? Just because it's posted like that? It can be a prank or something.
As mentioned in the article it is possible that scammers are trying to sell the DAT file editing to look like the hot wallet.
I know, that's why I'm saddened to people who are getting their hopes up with that DAT file without knowing the possible hardships that could happen. Just like what Brewmaster said, the lack of knowledge meaning someone could take advantage of this. It's like The Jackpot Awaits. A gimmicked game, just like in carnivals.
4015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Are Trying To Break Into This Bitcoin Wallet Holding $690 Million on: September 10, 2020, 01:17:51 PM
I'm not sure if this is a real wallet or if this article is an advertisement for RaidForums.
I'm pretty sure it's a genuine address, I checked it in an explorer. And I don't think it's an advertisement for the forum; it's only mentioned once. And Bitcointalk is discussed as well.

How can one be so sure that it's for that wallet, though? Just because it's posted like that? It can be a prank or something.
4016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What can Ethereum be worth when the Bitcoin max supply is complete? on: September 10, 2020, 08:55:16 AM
Since they are correlated in price, I believe that the price of Ethereum will increase as well but not all of the sudden meaning there would be a price increase as time goes not abruptly. I do not believe we will be alive by the time every last Bitcoin is mined so might as well speculate what's happening now, lol.

Just trade and profit from that. I think it's possible. Cheesy  Grin
4017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is good strategy or technique for Toss Coin? on: September 10, 2020, 06:31:59 AM
Applying martingale to Toss Coin and Dice is different. Martingale is more effective in Toss Coin as you are only eyeing to hit 2 sides.
I think what you’re saying is that they are two different games, but in the outcome, you could make it technically the same. If you make the chance of winning in dice around 50%, then it’s the same. There are two sides to win higher than 50 or lower than 50, then isn’t it the same? Applying the strategy would also be the same, so no matter what method you use, it’s always going to be based on luck.
Well, that is true. If martingale can be used in dice games it is also be used in toss coin and also in a high and low wagering which are all is based on luck even only two odds have. Perhaps this strategy will work in a short period of time or after you will have 3 consecutive win in a row, that is a sign to exit the site and take your profit. But if you will continue, --you perhaps experience losses because the more you stay the more chances of losses you have upon using martingale strategy.
It can, almost everything is as long as it involves doubling the amount that you input and expecting a higher return of investment, that's basically martingale strategy at its finest. I think letting it run for a long time could make you bust, and your suggestion with 3 consecutive in a row is quite nice. I have never thought of it as a sign of stopping. What I think about it is about how much I earned in that session.
4018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: September 10, 2020, 06:03:47 AM
Just like what others said, diversification is vital for less risk for your capital and make sure your investment grows.

So in this kind of situation, let's say that it's only for one. If I were to choose between the two, I would select Bitcoin. I'm quite of a risk-taker, and I have lost a lot of money due to my character like that, but I always thought that without risk, you could not grow your money. You can do it the smart way and be balanced with the way you approach it.

Look at it this way. It's better to have more options for your investment, rather than a single asset. What I mean is, with Bitcoin, you could:
  • Buy Services with Bitcoin
  • Trade another crypto with Bitcoin and increase the growth of your capital even more

There are a lot of ways you could do it. You would need to be patient and understand it.
4019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 18% XRP Price Drop ! ~ Moon or Bust? on: September 10, 2020, 05:33:36 AM
With the founder of XRP, Jed McCaleb, dumping $75 million worth of XRP, that's a lot, and regardless of its value today, it's going to take a big stack. According to this article:

However, Whale Reports believes that McCaleb’s settlement agreement with Ripple will end in 2020, and that the restrictions regarding how much XRP he can sell daily/yearly/monthly will be lifted.

So I think it's quite near that it is going to be less valued from now knowing that Jed is going to dump all at once. I think he is just waiting for this moment and dump it all.
4020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Has Just Launched Its Official Coin or Has It? on: September 10, 2020, 02:35:30 AM
Thanks to TravelMug, I think I know what type of coin that is and it's not legitimate if they are offering "potential profits" with that. Imagine being a millionaire by investing 227.53 dollars. It feels like it's the "next bitcoin" if that happens. Lol.

Don't let the letter "G" get in your head. Greediness
