4021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make your choice now! on: October 31, 2020, 10:57:25 AM
When the  day jobs and trading are well scheduled I think there wouldn't any conflict of interest although government job has a fixed time while trading time can be adjusted to balance the two, as a trader he should stick to trading higher timeframe, like daily timeframe whose analysis might not take much time before taking a trade set up the trade with stop-loss and take-profits which can be well monitored while at work.
4022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 31, 2020, 04:43:20 AM
Its quite a  good performance by wolves debutant Rayan Ait-Nouri, the teenager scored a goal for his team despite that he is just a 19 years old and coming from a lowly rated ligue 1 club to EPL really shows that he is talented and has a lot to offer for wolves.
All efforts by Zaha to salvage crystal palace proved abortive and frustrated by wolves defence line, its an interesting game and kudos the host for living up expectations.
4023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: it seems to getting more difficult now to analyse cryptocurrency prices on: October 31, 2020, 01:56:44 AM

There's no accurate and whatever traders are doing are all speculations and own assessments, things are really hard ever since
no shortcut all relied with how you estimate and how you believe.

Some might relate the ongoing movement with how the things happened like before but there's no assurance still, the patterns
are almost showing the same but you still need to anticipate that it can turned against you so be prepared.
One way or another, no one can make a more accurate forecast based on their own analysis no higher than 70-75 percent. Even such low rates are available only to real professionals, of whom there are not so many. That is why I also never pay attention to the analytics of third-party resources and people whose signals are aimed only at manipulating inexperienced traders.
I believed the inaccuracy in price analysis should be attributed to many underlying fundamental factors that affect the price in the market nowadays unlike before when the price is more stable except during Bitcoin forks that is when the price experience some pumping then.
Nowadays you can't hardly analyze the price due to the erratic price movement, the best bet is to buy and hodl so as to be on a safer side.
4024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why DeFi is high risk investment on: October 31, 2020, 12:46:17 AM
A lot of defi project these days and some people attracted to the return of profit that they can get. Farming/ staking which other interested to invest more the quick profit offer. Also, we notice in social media platforms a lot of defi projects promoting there so this is also a warned to others to be careful when investing.
I must confess I am scare of investing in any DeFi related project going by the the high returns and profits to be earned this is quite similar to a Ponzi scheme, I wonder why some investors do so despite all the warnings I remembered days of investing in ICOs wasn't as risky as DeFis, so many types of this projects are out in the cryptosphere now, how are investors in DeFis are making profits?
4025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 30, 2020, 06:59:23 AM
I do not support fans coming back even if the numbers look better in the near future, we have seen how when people go out the numbers rise, just because numbers get better doesn't mean we should become defenseless against covid, it is too risky to let people back into stadiums for now, and I do not mean full because that is not going to happen anyway, I am talking about not even allowing 100 ticket holders, just the players+staff+workers and maybe few family members and that's it, no fans allowed should continue whole year.

These numbers are bound to go down one day this year, maybe it won't but I feel like it could be better like June type of numbers or early July, but even with that we saw that it could increase back up very quickly so it would be worth it to just not allow just in case for this whole season.

Agree with your opinion, it is very risky to let the audience re-enter the stadiums. Because crowds will make the virus spread faster.
Currently, there are several matches postponed due to positive staff or players during the pre-match test. I cannot imagine that in
the near future spectators are allowed to enter the stadium, it will definitely increase the number of people  who are positive for COVID19.
Because running health protocols cannot go well, if there is a crowd.
I believe its very necessary to manage and curtail the second wave of this pandemic hence fans shouldn't be rushed in, I prefers empty stadium for now until a vaccine is discovered and fans inoculated else the upsurge will continue and we have to consider its devastating effects on aged and people with underlying health challenges, for now fans should watch matches in their respective homes.
4026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Follow your mind! on: October 30, 2020, 05:57:39 AM
There are so many costly mistakes investors make that may be regrettable. Such as
1. Borrowing money to invest
2. Greedy expectations in reward
3. Total reliance of people's opinion. Among many others.
My emphasy is the third. It is good to listen to people opinions but not all opinion counts. Many here just make confident predictions that has no base, go to prediction topics in our bitcointalk to confirm this.and you know how painful it is when you lose just on someones prediction. It is better you follow your mind during investment and bear the consequencies thereafter.
The most stupid decision for any investor to be taken is to borrow money for investment having read reviews, predictions from different sources like opinions however how reliable is their opinion? does the prediction or speculation has a proof to back up such an opinion? such an investment, of course its very risky to follow people's opinions verbatim without any personal research and findings, when such an investment failed automatically the investor becomes bankrupt.
4027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 29, 2020, 12:50:25 PM
Pirlo need time to manage clubs like Juventus, I think his decision to accept Juventus offer is bad decision. Gattuso, Seedorf and Inzaghi starting from Milan Primavera, they are also failed managed AC Milan. Gattuso not bad enough but his decision to cut their contracts is a good decision, because i think he is thinking if he doesn't have capability to manage Milan. Pirlo vs Koeman, like Senior and Newbie, this match results not just because Juventus tired but also Koeman have better strategy also better team players.
There are challenges and there are challange-accepted coaches. Zidane can get success and Pirlo or other young coaches can. Surely that not many young coaches can get success in early of their career. It is about the time when they accept challenge. Pirlo chose Juventus when their squad have some old players. They have some good transfers with young players but those players need time to get familiar with Juventus and Pirlo.

It is too soon to say Pirlo decided wrong or he is a bad coach. Let's see how Pirlo can manage the team and protect his job this season. I hope Pirlo won't be fired.
I think this is the first test for Pirlo as a manager on a big stage like UCL. he hasn't got that experience yet I believe with time and more exposure he will improve on career, just like when Zidane first stinct with Madrid it's left to Juventus management to give more chance to tutor the team.
Barcelona coming into that game after suffering a defeat against Madrid in Laliga will make things difficult for Juventus and to make matter worst Ronaldo is out of the match, fielding Ronaldo will have make a difference.
4028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin cross $15k in end of 2020 on: October 29, 2020, 05:43:04 AM
All these speculations and predictions is very risky especially for newbies or new investors, some people are carried away with present pumped in price of Bitcoin and not knowing that btc can also  retrace and dump massively as well. the price had dumped from $13800 to $12900 just within 24 hours and could further go down as well.
Adoption of Bitcoin by PayPal had an impact on the price already and I believe the dust had settled thus price hitting $15K is not guaranteed yet.
4029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to manage your stop loss for good trading result. on: October 29, 2020, 02:26:57 AM
I trade forex and I know how important is stop loss although it has pros and cons however I place stop loss in all my trade to protect my capital, based on risk to a reward ratio, however there some trades when filled tend to hit stop loss before moving in the speculated direction although this scenario often occurred when a tight stop loss was placed especially if the traded pair is very volatile and the price moves faster with momentum.
4030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be a wise investor on: October 28, 2020, 11:59:49 AM
I had once been having the perspective of investing massively in crypto in a bid to making it big, fortunately I read stories of some investors whose porfolio were rekt  thus lost a lot of money in the process however I learnt some lessons from them,  I will invest or trade wisely  and try to earn some bucks consistently to support myself and my family rather than chasing shadows, its all about how well and not how far?
4031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you really need in your trading? on: October 28, 2020, 04:48:01 AM
I like the third way, everything is decided by myself, it's not only emotions, time but also my own predictions, trading without confidence shouldn't be traded. Many people may need bot or signal provider, but cost and efficiency should be considered.
I am inclined towards trading manually too, I like  taking trading decisions and predictions based on my intuition disliked taking any signals or input from other sources to a avoid unnecessary contradictions, I trade with higher timeframe 4HRS or Daily thus giving me to do my analysis within the shortest period of time, I wouldn't have time to monitor paid signal alerts and I am not a fan of Bot or EA.
4032  Economy / Economics / Re: Government slowly open the economy, will it make the pandemic worst? on: October 28, 2020, 02:08:40 AM
Second wave of the pandemic is being experienced in some countries due to government opening of their economies, I believed government has a lot to do in curtailing the virus else the consequences of another lockdown might triggers more job losses and worsen recession, to matter worst some people are disobeying covid-19 protocols some claiming that wearing of nose mask is against their fundamental human right.
4033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Half bread is better than none on: October 28, 2020, 12:58:42 AM
Some experience investors or traders knew how to trade these altcoins, they take profits at the appropriate time irrespective of how big is their profits and move on to another one, afterall 'half a loave of bread is better than none' hodling altcoins is very risky  unlike Bitcoin whose volume traded daily is very high with a huge market Cap, gone are  days when hodling altcoins for a long period yields good profits the era was 2017 when Bitcoin reached ATH.
4034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not store your wallet on the exchange, store it on your crypto wallet. on: October 27, 2020, 03:14:27 PM
I don't trust any exchange any longer thus I can't save my coins with them,  I had read many stories of exchange hacks, despite the fact that some of them are acclaimef to be highly reputable and trusted yet are prone to hackers, the best bet is trade with them and withdraw my coins to the wallet, I would rather keep my coins in a hardware or cold wallet thus having the custody of my private keys is Paramount to me.
4035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: October 27, 2020, 06:20:26 AM
Paypal officially announced that they are going to let their users to buy, sell and shop cryptocurrencies on their platform starting in 2021adding services such as this will become a domino effect that might trigger banks to do the same. I can feel it already, next year will be another blast for crypto!

source : https://cointelegraph.com/news/paypal-to-offer-crypto-payments-starting-in-2021

Confirmed!
This is a welcome development from PayPal incorporating cryptocurrencies on their shopping platform enhances the credibility to cryptos and trust this will change  the mindset of some people who belittle cryptos or always categorize it as a Ponzi or HYIP, hopely 2021 will cryptos experiencing a massive growth and boost.
4036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you think you are smart just know that some are smarter on: October 27, 2020, 02:50:24 AM
I am also worried about it especially newbie who is hungry for information and also wants to quickly get money from crypto. usually will be very gullible, I was like that the first time. but never lose, just spend time playing dice which is actually a scam.

If anyone offers such an offer and asks for an etherum or other altcoin deposit, just decline.
Newbies can easily fell for it, this type of trick will effectively attract any cryptos newcomer, scammers knew their targets once they throw this type of offer out, some people will be tempted to claim those tokens with some few amount of coin for a trial.
Its quite suspicious for somebody to reveal their private key publicly, if not the sake of scamming gullible ones.
4037  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 26, 2020, 08:55:46 PM
To be candid the effect of this pandemic has devastated and crumbled a lot of businesses, job losses, recessions and causes poverty especially in developing countries.
Its very sad reading comments how people lost their jobs, personally I worked as a private school teacher shortly after covid-19 infections was becoming widespread all schools in my country was closed  down indefinitely the implication of the closure means no payment of salaries to us, everyone has to hustle legitimately to earn some bucks and care of our families.
4038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Defi project like game pump and dump on: October 26, 2020, 04:29:59 PM
Personally I took DeFi projects as gambling because most their projects is pump and dump as an investor you wouldn't know the profitable ones in the long run, those who invested in it know  their ways  and are very careful selective in any DeFI projects that they are investing in having done a thorough research and knowing the outcome might be profit or loss.
4039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 26, 2020, 11:23:14 AM
What most people think about Bitcoin is a very diverse thought. It can be many things such as that people do not know how to use it due to technology and there is a lack of knowledge and disinterest in Bitcoin. The prohibition in some countries but that will be left behind. Paypal is recognized worldwide and will offer its users to obtain Bitcoin in its tool which will mean more users of Bitcoin and crypto.
Its very common to hear people's divergent view about Bitcoin, some of them who care to dig dip somehow became disappointed with its complexity according to those I interviewed attributing it to the technology as you rightly said however its took a lot of persuations to encourage those who claims that Bitcoin is scam to convince them that its real and not a HYIP or Ponzi scheme their beliefs is because of its price fluctuation.
4040  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: October 26, 2020, 05:28:52 AM
Defi some coins will just become worthless in coming months and may be handful may still exist, but its value would fallen a lot from its high. Now not sure if it can anytime in future cross its ATH price or no. So I am avoiding tis for now and once it has fallen drastically and reach its bottom then can think about its future and may considering buying it.
That's right, I see a lot of Defi coins dropping up to 50% when they were first released on Exchange, so that it makes investors who buy during Pre-Sale lose a lot of their assets. I also invested in the DeFi project and it was a huge loss too. So I think Defi HYIP is over.
There value will surely dropped based on the numbers of these so-called DEFI projects are being pumped into cryptos market, taking a cursory look at the bounty section of the forum, there are many of them popping out daily, however some of the projects might survive based the bullish outlook of the market presently,  meanwhile some investors are always selective in DeFi projects.
