4021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN-An Odyssey: SETTLING INTER-PLANETARY TRANSACTION SINCE 2050 on: July 26, 2020, 05:37:35 AM
Wouldn't those private companies be the ones to start up business with regards to interplanetary stuff? They'd probably have monopoly on circulation by then, and if they really don't view Bitcoin in a positive view, then such adoption may not happen. They may even create their own mode or way of transactions since technically, they monopolize everything and hence, can set everything. Cooperations with various governments may happen, but they'd take little of the pie by then. They may even set up a completely whole new system, one that is entirely different from the one Earth uses. To accommodate the cooperation and transactions between the planets though, a community may be built that manages that.

If the community is using bitcoin, the companies will have a hard time ignore this because these people will be the customers. The thing about space exploration though is that the expenses will be in epic proportions, I do not think that companies will use it as a way to pay the project plus, space exploration isn't something that is easy, this so called projects needs a lot of resources and tests will consume most of it, some of it might be abandoned. I do not think that it is viable for us to do space exploration because the cost is too high and the reward is still low, we can bebefit from it though, through space mining. Right now and until the next century, space exploration is not a viable option honestly.
4022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hackers steal huge amounts of bitcoins? on: July 26, 2020, 03:36:30 AM
Like a conventional thief or robber, you will try to get as much as you can carry but in the case of bitcoin, you can take all of it because you do not have to worry about the weight, they can be stored in a HD wallet that is the size of a calculator or phone, regarding their footprint, there are a lot of bitcoin tumblers/mixers that are available, if they are prepared, they might even have their own illegal tumbler where they can process it there, in my opinion a good countermeasure for these is not trying to chase the stolen bitcoin, but rather than that they could atleast flag the stolen coin so that they have a very small options where they can use it and most people do not want to deal with stolen things because they can get implicated.
4023  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: July 26, 2020, 02:45:03 AM
I firmly support this post! Bitcoin as you have just said is not a make-money-quick scheme. I've told many people about bitcoin, and whenever I do, I make them understand that bitcoin's uniqueness is not in its price but it's ability to be anonymous, it's limitless ability, the decentralization, the transaction speed (especially when making transactions across borders). The earlier people remember this, the better for all cryptocurrencies and enthusiasts.
The people that is speculating about the ATH of BTCitcoin are people that are jumping on the oppurtunity to advertise their content as specified by OP, this is quiet understandable because there are a lot of people who are stubborn and some of them do not appreciate the worth, they just see it as a quick buck machine which is understandable because in this day and age, many people are suffering in poverty and those that discovered this tends to see it as their lifeline which is kind of sad because most of them are investing all that they have because they got hyped up by this content creator. To prevent this kind of mass hype, you first need to take the words of people on the Internet with a grain of salt, never jump the bandwagon.
4024  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: is it difficult to get a partner in cryptocurrency deals? on: July 25, 2020, 10:55:41 AM
It is difficult in a sense that if you met that person in the cyberspace then that is a red flag, but if you know them in real life and you can reach them out then that will be different. Finance is a dangerous so you better know your partner because betrayal and scamming is easy.
4025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin replace Gold someday? on: July 25, 2020, 06:36:36 AM
No. As compared to gold, Bitcoin is a lot more volatile. Bitcoin being an intangible currency isn't as stable as compared to gold.

As compared, to being a store of value, I feel Bitcoin is more like a currency and gold is like the former. You're probably never supposed to use gold as a transaction method. Bitcoin, in comparison, is more suitable to be a replacement of traditional payment methods.
Exactly it will not replace gold, but if you look at the other purposes of gold there is a variety, gold is not just valuable as a backer for a currency but also there are other application that you can use it for, this can be used to create space suits for space exploration or other things. If you look at it from a different perspective, gold has more uses than bitcoin in other aspects aside from finaces.
4026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 25, 2020, 03:34:09 AM
1. If you are feeling desperation then do not take the giveaway because you are clearly not thinking right, scammers in this time feed on people being desperate to earn extra.

2. Always remember that no person in their right mind would give away their bitcoin, remember that bitcoin is circulating and they can't be made out of thin air(metaphorically).

3. Check the comment section if there is any because it will give you some clue, if there aren't any then you have a red flag, if most of the comments that you see is always a positive, have doubts because they might be bots.

4. Don't think with your heart when it comes to finances, think with rationality, there is a reason that the brain is higher than the heart, emotions can cloud judgement so when you ever stumble across this give away scams, do not be joyful, investigate the premises and have common sense.
4027  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency? on: July 24, 2020, 08:25:50 AM
We cannot fully rely on crypto since there is no assurance if you will earn something or not. Even if you are earning crypto because of a job, it is not stable. Everything in crypto is about risk. Find a job for stable income for your necessities. I understand that it's difficult to find a stable job now due to a lot of people were laid-off, seek for opportunities and don't just rely on crypto.
Reliance doesn't make things better, bitcoin is also volatile so you can't put all your eggs in one basket, we never know when it will skyrocket or dump but I can say for sure that you should not put all your eggs in one basket, diversify your financial endeavors so you can still have a constant cash flow even if there is a downtime in one of your investment, cryptocurrency is a promising financial tool but that does not mean you should worship it.
4028  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans in a Bitcoin world on: July 24, 2020, 06:31:30 AM
I can't see how loan system will work in bitcoin, the supply is limited and there isn't enough in the circulation, if you were to let someone borrow your bitcoin then it will take a long time before they can pay it, loans is a big thing for me because this can destroy financial stability or could help build a foundation to make someone stable, I do believe that this will not work if ever there is a system that will be implemented.
4029  Economy / Economics / Re: Doing an essay on Bitcoin, need ideas on: July 24, 2020, 05:41:47 AM
One idea that I could think of is whether Quantum computing will make bitcoin mining much faster, the technology is promising in my opinion because we are currently reaching a plateau in computing speed, and in relation to that no matter how you upgrade your mining rig, it will not matter because we reached the cap.
4030  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 24, 2020, 03:50:00 AM
If we are practically thinking, another century would completely phase out physical money, we either along the way die of extinction from apocalypse or quantum computing is flourishing and resource management become so efficient that we became dependent on technology when it comes to finances. I specify quantum computing because I believe that by that time a centralized computer will do all the things that is needed and one example is finances.
4031  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 24, 2020, 03:21:38 AM
The life of businesses depend on the government's ability to manage their business sectors. If they do not know what to do with all the problems at hand then they will surely have a problem. If the government knows how to control the pandemic from spreading then that means that they can open businesses easily because they addressed the problem of atleast alleviating the chances of viral contraction. This is just a matter of government competence in my opinion because look at New Zealand.
4032  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest winner during COVID? on: July 23, 2020, 06:59:04 AM
To me, biggest winner during the COVID were the governments.
To be exact, the government officials are the ones that are benefitting, they keep a facade yet do nothing. The pharmaceutical companies will only win if they manufactured a cure in which they can sell it but the research funds outweigh the classification that they benefitted.
4033  Economy / Economics / Re: Maintaining safety measures after pandemic for human -economical- resources on: July 23, 2020, 05:41:46 AM
Absolutely true!
In order for us to survive in this Pandemic, we must follow all the safety protocols that the Government had imposed.
Here in our Country, not wearing a mask when you go outside is a criminal offense. Its always been a must to keep strict protocols for our own safety, for the other people and for the whole nation too.
Our actions now and obedience to the law is very important as we fight for this battle of the unknown. So just stay home when its not necessary to go out, we can still find a lot of things to do at home and have fun with our own creativites. We must be responsible for ourselves, for others and for the whole country's safety.
I envy your government's measure when it comes to the safety of people, in my opinion, mask is the best deterrent for the virus when it wants to spread, many does not understood it because they think science is choking out their freedom. They do not care about other people and pretending that they care about wen all they want is clout. Remember folks to wear a mask no matter what other people say, it saves you and other from possibly getting infected. In the case of suspicion that the viral contact on skin, just wash with soap the suspected contacted part.
4034  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Kaalaman : Philippines Launches Blockchain App to Distribute Government Bonds on: July 23, 2020, 04:52:54 AM
Found about this on my brother's shared post on FB. He's my adviser when it comes to all things investment-related kaya mabilis talagang nakakarating sa kanya yung mga ganitong balita. This is actually a good experiment done in partnership with the government na pinangungunahan ng Unionbank.

4035  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: COVID-19 Related Scams on: July 23, 2020, 03:58:28 AM
4036  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Loophole? on: July 22, 2020, 06:35:23 AM
4037  Other / Politics & Society / Re: true egyptian pharaohs and gods where not humanlike on: July 22, 2020, 06:07:33 AM
Have you heard of rationality? The images of the gods were the interpretation of the Egyptians, how are you supposed to explain that are you an Egyptologist who knows how to read hieroglyphics?
4038  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 22, 2020, 05:27:17 AM
If you are wearing a mask and you always wash your hands then you don't have to worry. I myself do not want to go outside because there are assholes who are not wearing a mask and they do not care if they are infected or if they can infect. The lack of discipline is what makes this situation shittier.
4039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Public stock markets welcomes cryptocurrencies , is it even necessary on: July 22, 2020, 04:42:47 AM
I would prefer if bitcoin is a mode of payment instead of an investment, this is rather attracting but at the same time concerning because it can be exploited in many ways, one example is an elaborate inside trading where you use bitcoin as a scapegoat. Bitcoin does not give out dividends so I do not think that being part of stock market is viable, maybe staying at forex is better.
4040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally some justice, scammer sent to jail at South Korea. on: July 22, 2020, 03:58:54 AM
Eventhough the judgment was light, at least we have justice against crypto scam to serve as a deterrent to others in the field or those who are still thinking of taking that route.
The sentence is justified but I hope that these will help these scammers reform, I can agree that it is a deterrent but when they get out of jail, the oppurtunity will robbed of them to go back to normal in our society thus restarting the vicious cycle, punishment for people in jail shouldn't stop there, there should be steps taken to effectively reform this people in order to break the cycle, they might not look like but this people wants to change for the better, it is just that the society outcasts them.
