Please read our blog article about it: What is 2FA & why is it so important?
It is my appreciation for your article. Some newbies in crypto don't know how to secure their accounts, on exchanges and casinos. They simply set up 2FA by SMS code which is terrible because of many threats on SIM cards.

Some people set up 2FA by using apps but don't back up secret code and don't test backup's validity.

4043  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: July 02, 2020, 03:53:36 AM
Could be used Two factor authentication in this wallet? I think this two factor authentication brings more security to the user end.
It is your key, it is your bitcoin. Secure your key.

With Bitamp wallet, from a single private key, you can have three options to get 3 types of receiving address list, for: standard(1xx), segwit (bxx), and P2SH (3xx). You can choose which types of address you want to use, from the Overview tab or from the Addresses tab. Choose it from the dropdown menu.

The wallet supports change address too.

Additionally, you can import BTC address you get from Bitamp to other wallets, such as Electrum.

On Bitamp, with each receiving address, you will have the key icon, click on it to get private key for that specific address.
Below is an example for you. You should never disclose your private key like that.

On Electrum, click on File > New/ Restore > Import Bitcoin addresses or private key:
- If you copy and paste your BTC address from Bitamp, you will get an imported, watching only on Electrum.
- If you copy and paste your private key from Bitamp, you will get an imported wallet on Electrum.
Name your wallet file and set up a good password on Electrum when you import it.

Questions and suggestions for Bitamp wallet:

- Multisig wallet
- Sign / verify a message
- Time locked address

To beware of scam gold-backed tokens, people should know the legit project for digital gold token. They are definitely legit and you can check their legitimacy.
Gold availability can be checked in real-time on the website https://www.bullionstar.com/myaccount/audit account number 17081. The total amount in the vault is 9200 grams of gold.

Could you resize your images to smaller ones (like I do with width=250) to help loading the page faster and save bandwith for people who have limited Internet connections.

dkbit98 can add it (image size) to the rule of this thread.
4049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to easily acquire Bitcoin on every continent (except Antarctica) on: June 29, 2020, 01:40:40 PM

All images are posted with too big size and they cause troubles to load the page for people who have bad internet connection and for people who have limits on total bandwidth they subscribe to use with their service providers.

I edited those images with width=200 to decrease their sizes and avoid those problems. You can choose to edit them with width or height but I think width is better because it will not distort images. To save bandwith for others, I posted only one image, for others you can copy and paste width=200.

There are P2P marketplaces or exchanges can help to get access to bitcoin for unbanked people.

Thank you for this useful meta-thread but I'm little bit surprised to not find any topic about multisig wallets there while it's one of the best ways to secure funds IMHO.
You just need to install a multisig wallet on your computer and another one on your smartphone to get a kind of secure 2FA wallet. Then you just need to scan the QR-code of your transaction with your smartphone when you want to send some funds.
I see two guides on it.
"multi-sig" or pay to script hash addresses (those with the 3)
Sending a transaction from a multi-signature wallet

Blockchair explorer is my favorite explorer because its convenient feature but I recently know about the Blockchair explorer's account on the forum.

Your explorer is a big one and I have a question that why do the Blockchair team don't create an announcement thread for your explorer? You can do it at Service Announcement

I found your ANN thread that was created 4 months ago. Blockchair's Bitcoin explorer is now available on the Tor network!. The thread is surprising simple. You can edit it with more details, graphics, and post your updates on the thread.

Some exchanges combine email and 2fa. My experience when logging in to bittrex or indodax I have to confirm the email, after that enter the 2fa code. Make it longer but it looks safer. It takes 2 steps to confirm that it is the legal owner of the account. Unfortunately this is done when the IP address changes, if every time log in must be confirm email and 2fa, I think that's good.
It will be required if you log in your account on a new device or with a new IP address. Log in on same device and same IP address don't force you to confirm the login activity by email confirmation.

Binance has a similar requirement too.
4057  Other / Meta / Re: Bengali Thread Merit Statistics on: June 27, 2020, 03:29:19 PM
As I commented, you mess it up, and without notes about what is frequency, what is percentage. Do you think of using two graphs, one for frequency and one for percentage.

It is because you like to use graphs. Even you split them into two graphs, it will still be messed up.

It is best if you use tables because there are many boards. People can clearly read both frequency and percentage.

If you make graph for 5 to 7 boards, graph looks better - but you should still consider about note on statistic format (statistics on graph are Frequency, Percent %).

With graphs, there is problem with color. How people can know which nation is displayed on graph with 3 nations: Germany, Japanese, and Romanian. Their colors look very similar, orange (standard orange, dark orange, light orange). And can not get their figures from the graph.

If you want to show only frequency and percentage for Bengali board, the graphs looks better but I would like to use tables.
Take a screenshot of your excel sheet, you will present data better.

Because you are so confident with your data presentation so I will not comment more. It is the last one.
4058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Authentication: Types, Risks/ Attacks, Advice on: June 27, 2020, 12:22:08 PM
Why ( Shocked real bewildered look on my face)? QR code is just a specific mapping of secret code expressed in characters. I can’t tell the difference between them when it’s a matter of choosing backup. But, at the same time, QR code ensures better  data security  when transferring across devices.
When the map is broken, you have nothing to recover your 2FA but with secret key, if one of characters is blurred or broken, you still can guess it from the leftover of broken character.
Remember that there are two layers of backup: backup codes, and 2FA secrect key (or bar code). I advise you to do backup for both of them, or if you choose only one to backup, it should be 2FA secret key, not barcode. With secret key, you will be easier to guess if character, figure are blurred a little bit but with bar code, it is almost nothing to do. Of course, saving 2FA secret key backups as best as possible is the must thing to do.

Im using it as back up for my some of my crypto asset wallet. How can you say QR code has likely more potential than in character type? When you use it for transaction, simply the confirmation would be guaranteed unlike character that you will used a copy paste method that have malware changing the address when you paste it.
They are different things here: backup and transaction. What I meant is backup, not for transactions. For transactions, you should check a few first and last charaters. Checking a few in middle or whole characters if you want to do so.

QR code backup is bad. Indeed, you should use secret code (in characters) for your backup, instead of QR code.
4060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this right on: June 27, 2020, 06:06:12 AM
I repeat it is not a plagiarism.

A real plagiarism will be like that one (no source, no quote blocks)
I just got money from playbetr. The incident is over. Sorry that I was harsh in some of my statements, I was just very worried. I wish you all a pleasant day.

We appreciate your feedback as you were very helpful in our investigation.  We wish you the same.

Do you think that everything is in order now?

I repeat again for everyone:
At the moment, the algorithm is as follows.
1. The player registers (all is well, no problem)
2. The player is playing (all is well, no problem)
3. The player loses (everything is fine, no problem)
4. The player wins (everything is already not very good, but the person does not know about it yet)
5. The player makes a withdrawal of funds (the player is blocked, everything is bad)

it shows that you are scammers !!!
There is only one rule that is the same for all honest bookmakers - if you are going to verify your account, then you must do this before the first bet !!! if you are allowed to place bets, then you should not carry out verification after bets !!!

You are now writing as if all is well. The man was allowed to take the money after the investigation ... Why should the man worry that a scammer like you will give the money, or maybe they will not give it back ... how lucky ...

Please do check before bets or never do it !!! then you will never have disputs!
Now you have chosen the tactics of cheating! If a person won, then we will do everything in order not to give him money!

You say that you want to improve the community, but in fact you are lying! To improve the community, you need to act differently.

Original post
Massive fraud and multi-accounting from the region as you are well aware.  We are in the process of eliminating all of the associated accounts with some very good assistance from one of the associated accounts.  Our investigation continues but we did also expect you to create a new account here on bitcointalk even though you have others here.  We will continue to make Playbetr an exceptional place to play for everyone and that includes eliminating fraud and multi-accounting from our platform.  We have responded to every email promptly during our complete and thorough investigation and we expect this as we continue to crack down on the fraud and mult-accounting.

I did not know that you have problems from Belarus. I have only one account in your bookmaker office and I have nothing to do with other accounts.
I also have only 1 account on bitcointalk.org. I registered here to share my experience with other users.
I have a few questions for you. I will be glad if you answer.
1. If you really have problems and frequent cases of fraud from Belarus, then why did you let me register?
2. Why didn’t you notify me that Belarus would soon be on the list of banned countries?
3. Why was this warning not written in your rules?
4. Why was I able to make a deposit?
5. Why did you accept bets from me?
6. Why did I start to have problems with you after I won a little and put money to withdraw?
7. What have I done to you bad?

At the moment, the algorithm is as follows.
1. The player registers (all is well, no problem)
2. The player is playing (all is well, no problem)
3. The player loses (everything is fine, no problem)
4. The player wins (everything is already not very good, but the person does not know about it yet)
5. The player makes a withdrawal of funds (the player is blocked, everything is bad)

I refuse to believe that this is all for the $ 200 that I managed to win from you, but so far everything looks that way. Probably you confused me with someone or some kind of error occurred. Please check again.

Someone please archive it.
