4041  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Political Correctness Will end us all on: June 19, 2017, 08:02:28 PM
It's a completely sad thing to see, it's a double standard though where only one side (Liberals) are allowed to make outlandish claims and borderline inciting of terrorism statements without any repercussions while if the Right did this they'd be called every label under the fucking sun, such as Nazi, Islamophobic, Misogynistic, and so on and so forth cause I'm not going to list out those words.

But if people don't start seeking the truth in any source they can, be it some big MSM company or a random site on the internet that is actually trying to spread the truth then we're going to be doomed. You must embrace truthful news with every ounce of blood in your body.

Lets hope we can change this, once and for all and bring journalism back to a good standard.
4042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Complaints of Seizures by Popular Bitcoin Wallet <-FUD on: June 19, 2017, 06:40:05 PM
This is bound to happen and is an issue with pretty much any place that is being used as an investing area. Though, it does happen on both sides as we do spread fake news from #TeamBitcoin to be able to get more and more people to join onto the Bitcoin train and such. This is going to happen as there is a lot of money at stake if there is panic in the market and it could make a certain few of people (the fake news spreaders, organizers, whales) a shit ton of money if they move the market the way they want to.

It sucks the world works like this, but this happens in stock, bonds, real estate, and others as well. We may just not see it as much because the other investments have a LOT MORE money at stake within them.

Sad world.
4043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Garbage, Embrace It on: June 19, 2017, 03:47:00 PM
I read the article, and really agree with it. Why the hell people say bitcoin is garbage? Have they try this out before? Or just saying some nonsense because of some rumours?
Bitcoin is really worth it to embrace. Why? Because we will get benefit from it eventually. Like when the value increases, we'll get more profit. Or when we need emergency money, we can use it. And also make us have extra earning by this.
For those who said bitcoin is trash, maybe they just don't understand about this thing lol.

I'm one of the people on the team "Bitcoin isn't garbage" but your points are the shitty ones that aren't going to help anyone. Saying a value increase is going to help people could work with anything, well yeah if I buy this water today maybe I can make $1 on it tmmrow if I sell it. The point is dumb and isn't even on which is helpful in the least.

MOVING ONTO THE POINT ABOUT EMERGENCY MONEY. How good can this emergency money be if you really can't even use it in the least? Not like many people accept it in a real life non-internet environment as not many shops accept it (SOME DO THOUGH!)

Some people come here and say BTC is trash due to the medias bashing of it and saying it's only usage is for laundering, gambling, drugs, etc. That's fair as that's the only thing they know about the currency but they must be educated. Also, BTC is facing large network issue right now so it's not like we're in the best state as well here.

Though, I am still on team embrace Bitcoin.
4044  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can anybody guide me to free satoshi? on: June 19, 2017, 02:59:18 PM
Faucets are going to be a complete waste of time and plus, coming out here asking for free satoshis is also going to be a waste of time as all you're going to get from people is ref links for faucet sites. To give you can actual word of advice, you may want to try to find something you're good at and try to sell it on here, the services subsection on this forum is one that is highly populated and a lot of money is used on that side.

If you're good at something you do, something you can make, or so on and so forth you should be able to make some good money. The only way to really make money on this forum is to sell goods, or services, everything else is going to be a complete waste of your time with minimal to no income from it. Good luck bud!
4045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Complete Garbage!!! on: June 19, 2017, 05:15:05 AM
Some people may want to be the ones that are going to be saying stuff like this, but this is the narrative that's going to be holding Bitcoin back from fully coming out into a global currency as it should be with the type of code behind it. Takeout the issues we're having with congestion on the network right now, and all that kind of stuff when it comes to TX issues and this currency is still amazing. Bitcoin is amazing, and it will always be an amazing piece of code that has really turned a lot of people with a lot of money in the normal banking industry turn and shake their head. Think about it, the only time regulations are going to come out are the times that the GOV is lobbied into doing it to protect someone.

So, someone was scared enough that BTC was / is / has the capability of doing such a thing that they knew they had to limit the growth of this currency. Pretty insane to fully thing about.

Bitcoin isn't garbage, it may not be the most amazing thing out there, but it's definitely amazing.
4046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's still really hard to use bitcoin as a regular currency on: June 19, 2017, 04:40:29 AM
See this is going to be the issue when it comes to a decentralized internet currency like the one that we're the ones that are using it right now. The problem with being decentralized is that we're going to be facing a fight from the gov due to a burden of regulations from not being able to be taken over / centralized so we're going to be under fire at all times. It's not going to be easy to get adoption from people, but the only thing is that if we're all going to band together to help get bitcoin to be abloe to get mainstream adoption it should be able to happen.

We just need to get everyone on board and to get them an incentive to get on board, people aren't going to join in for nothing. We need to fix TX fees and remove the undue regulations on the BTC industry from the gov by calling our reps and senators to get them on board. Get people with power and money on board with something and they'll be no looking back.
4047  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Osama Bin Laden really dead or not? on: June 18, 2017, 06:53:57 PM
There's a ton of people, usually known as the conspiracy people that are trying to hide the fact that this man is really dead. There'd be no reason for the US government to keep him alive, we all know they probably extracted everything he ever knew from extensive torturing and then killed him once it was over. I'll be able to go along with the fact that he probably didn't die the way some of the SEALS explained it, but I think in the end he was killed in some way shape or form.

So, the man is dead and this debate is going to have to come to an end.
4048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Model is Awesome. on: June 18, 2017, 05:16:40 PM
The model is awesome don't get me wrong, but this is really just like any other online forum when it comes down to it. There's going to be some people that are the most trusted on here that are entrusted with holding certain things, be it money, items, accounts, and so on and so forth. But this is also present on other forums, so it's not like we're doing anything revolutionary when it comes to stuff like that. We also have the same flaws that any other forum would have.

We're not immune to stuff just cause we're the bitcoin forum, the biggest trusted people are sometimes the ones that backstab us all when we could've thought that they could be trusted. And when they do, everyone loses a lot.

It is awesome and I do love this forum with my entire heart, but we do have some issues as well and I wouldn't want to ignore them.
4049  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing USD from various exchanges as US citizen on: June 18, 2017, 04:14:32 PM
A lot of them aren't keen on dealing with the US laws when it comes to dealing with cryptocurrencies and trading so they're just not going to work with people in the United States when it comes to trading. In some states, like New York, we've even established the 'BitLicense' which forces exchanges to get a License to be able to do Bitcoin exchanging. This kinda killed a lot of the exchanges in the United States cause they didn't want to deal with NY and they didn't want to have to be liable if someone from NY was using their services but lying about it or something.

To keep it short, the US has a lot of banking regulations when it comes to Bitcoin to be able to keep it's usage to a minimum. So, you're kinda stuck on GDAX / Coinbase if you're going to want to day trade in the US, sucks but what can ya do.
4050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Protesters Interrupt 'Trump Assassination' Play in Central Park on: June 18, 2017, 03:21:04 PM
See it really doesn't even matter this mans views on anything, I don't think we should be normalizing assassinations on anyone. It's horrible to even think of assassinating a sitting US President, it doesn't matter if you don't agree with what he has to say you shouldn't be joking about that stuff at all - It's completely uncalled for.

And the blatant partisanship when it comes to who can do this without an issue is wildly horrible as well, if Conservatives were to call for the death of Former President Obama they'd be berated in the media and completely destroyed. When Liberals do it, it seems to be fine. It shouldn't be fine in any case, we're not going to allow this double standard to develop and be maintained.

4051  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Solution to high taxes: get a second job lazy... on: June 18, 2017, 02:59:51 PM
Yeah bud this isn't going to work in the least, the reason that people complain about taxes is simply because of how much money they're going to be taking from whatever you make. So if you're going to be making more money from another job you may even go into a higher tax bracket (IF IN THE UNITED STATES) and be taxed more on what made it into that tax bracket.

You're not going to save money by working more, you're still going to get taxed. Gosh, I see why some people just aren't able to make it in the REAL WORLD when people like OP come out and say this sort of dumb shit. Don't call people lazy either, dam you're not the brightest of the bunch.
4052  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Africa should be nuked, all evil originated there on: June 18, 2017, 02:36:39 PM
Gosh, have never heard something so terrible like this. You know you're pretty much calling for the death of millions of people with an outlandish statement like that, right? Even if all of the EVIL in the world originated there, that still wouldn't garner this sort of horrible message to be able to be accepted by people.

Though, I would love to hear you reasoning on labeling Africa with the "ALL EVIL ORIGINATED THERE" as I'm really not one to be able to see how you're going to get that statment to a point where it has some stuff backing it. Cause, Evil is all over the world. Africa may have some evil, North America has some as well, South America, Europe, Asia and so on and so forth if you understand my point in this one.

So, you're fucking insane dude.
4053  Economy / Economics / Re: What prevents companies from "losing" money in crypto? on: June 17, 2017, 10:01:37 PM
Well, the only thing that's going to stop them is the shareholders who're probably going to pay a shit ton to ensure that proper investigative work is done to find out what REALLY happened if someone like this was to occur. So, this type of thing wouldn't happen for a good amount of reasons. Plus, I highly doubt that shareholders would ever allow a company to put a substantial amount of money into a volatile investment like Bitcoin when they could easily get into something more sustainable which would be stocks.

People are usually dumb when they go about doing things like this, so they'd probably get caught through some sort of online correspondence when it comes to working with the people who are "hacking" them. So, the only thing that stops this is other people fighting for a fair investigation on the loss of money.
4054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man Robbed at Gunpoint for $1,100 Worth of Bitcoins in Brooklyn on: June 17, 2017, 09:16:51 PM
Sadly enough, this sort of stuff is going to become more and more expected with people who own bitcoin (if people know that is) if the price continues to rise and rise or to simply just stick at what it is. This is one of the main reasons I would never do any sort of Bitcoin currency exchange in person, unless of course you're going to be doing the Transaction in a Police Office, or one of those desginated safe places for trading in your town.

Fucking crazy though, the worlds a changing and it doesn't seem to be changing for the better.
4055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this State important to uncovering Satoshi on: June 17, 2017, 07:57:52 PM
Satoshi is a satoshi that will probably continue to be a mystery in bitcoin
I do not think it is necessary to disclose... Grin

Well you do have to give it to some people on this forum, curiosity is going to get the best of you on something like this which is so mysterious to the point that we HAVE ZERO information about the person that wrote all the code to this wonderful thing that's now turned into a Multi-BILLION dollar currency. Not saying it's gotten tons of people to accept it like Satoshi probably wanted, but we've gone ways since the creation of Bitcoin with innovation from people who accept Bitcoin and such.

Though, just leave Satoshi be and let him live his life. He'll always be keeping tabs on all of us though, so we do know that at least.
4056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitcoin is about to be Centralized on: June 17, 2017, 06:41:55 PM
This isn't going to happen in the least when it comes to Bitcoin becoming centralized, because just if some regulators want something to happen it doesn't mean it's going to happen in the least. They may want it to, they may make our lives a living hell for using BTC and supporting it but they're not going to be able to take over the network UNLESS they pump a ton of money into BTC and try to takeover the network. Which probably wouldn't happen because all they're going to want is to pull as much tax from BTC as humanly possible without killing the entire thing.

So, Bitcoin isn't going to be centralized don't fright. This is simply a marketing site link, nice job OP on hiding it so well though.
4057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Predict the date for the 'Flippening' - on: June 17, 2017, 06:03:00 PM
I know all of you big ALTCOIN lovers or as I like to call them, shitcoins, are going to come here and say well look at all this innovation ETH has. Look at the market cap, the trade volume, this and that and so on and so forth. But none of you are ever going to try to compare the REAL USAGE of the coins when it comes to people accepting it as a currency. Do you see many online shops accepting ETH? No, you don't and you're not going to see that.

That's the difference when it comes to these altcoins and Bitcoin. Bitcoin is being used as it should be, as a currency. Eth is pretty much just a coin that people are using to trade. ETH is simply the gold of bitcoin that's being manipulated by tons and tons of whales.

So, I'll predict a date - never.
4058  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IN DEV] Legit BTC Lottery on: June 17, 2017, 03:54:53 PM
See the point here is that you're going to need a good amount of money for this entire project, as you're going to have to be able to fund so many things even before the site itself goes life. You're not going to be able to finance this entire thing off of MellowAds, because with that you're going to need to have a lot of traffic already so that'd kinda be a waste until you get into an established state.

I wouldn't be jumping into a project like this unless you're fully ready to be able to see what you're getting yourself into as you really don't seem to know in the least. Marketing is going to cost a ton, and even with that cost NOTHING could come out of it and this could just be a big waste of money. Next, you're going to need some money for the bankroll of the site itself cause people aren't just going to trust some random site for their bets thats just how things go.

I also wouldn't say this is "IN DEV" at all, unless you can code. Doesn't seem that way as you're asking for a BTC skeleton on wordpress. Wordpress is not the place for a gambling site in the least.
4059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to rethink the way we look at 1 BTC value... on: June 17, 2017, 03:24:52 PM
Well, this is only the real issue when 1 BTC is hitting a high price like it is now. This really wasn't as much of an issue when I first started and the price for 1 BTC was around $300-500 and owning one was nice and all but it wasn't such a high task to achieve. So it's not like we're looking at 1 BTC as being hard to hit, we're talking about how the price of the currency at 1 BTC is a high price point and hard to get to.

Though, I do seem to understand what you mean about the whole if you own .1 at x price you're still going to have a part of this wonderful asset and so on.
The problem is we need to get rid of decimals. Of course 0.1 BTC = 100 mBTC but the first, in a newbie's mind, will always look like a small quantity because of the decimals. People don't like owning fractions of things, they like whole things. Also, as price grows, there will be more and more 0's after the point which will make dealing with everyday quantities a lot harder.

Yeah, we're not going to get rid of the whole decimal system bud that's just wildly dumb and uncalled for.

4060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: June 15, 2017, 07:12:41 PM
Bitcoin is one of those things that's probably going to spread best through peoples words, TV ads are probably going to have to take a lot of time explaining a lot about bitcoin (as it's so complex) that it's going to cost too much, or be too confusing for people to understand. I just don't see a reason for this, or even the means in which it would happen as people wouldn't want to be paying for this within the bitcoin community. Unless theres someone here who's highly generous and is also insanely rich.

I can't see it working, people don't want to see something so complex advertised in a setting where things have to be simple and to the point. We should look for other means of advertising though so at least we're on the right path here.
