I would like to read the take of those people who had similar mentality back in 2011-12 and they refused to invest even a penny in the Bitcoin. I agree that we should not consider past performance as a reflection of the future but bitcoin has introduced its potential over the time and new concepts are enough to draw a picture of the future of infinite possibilities of the bitcoin. Bitcoin is garbage those who fails to see its potential.

Back in the early days of bitcoin there were a lot of people calling out bitcoin for being a ponzi scheme and whatnot, but they have pretty much failed miserably with their predictions that never panned out. I remember a lot of people were saying that bitcoin will crash to zero in 5 years blah blah blah.

It's just another bitcoin hater. No need to take too much notice, obviously he is affiliated with some sort of stock market broker, and bitcoin trading is a direct competitor to stocks. So it makes sense for him to write up this sort of bullshit.

All it had done is simply come close to bitcoin's market capitalization which in my opinion will probably not be the case in the near future as more and more people move their funds out of ethereum and into bitcoin in search of better liquidity and trading opportunities.

Its a realistic possibility that one or several altcoins will become bigger than bitcoin, but I agree with you in one area and that is that it doesn't and won't replace bitcoin. In my opinion there is room in the market for them to be bigger than bitcoin and work alongside it.

The only way that bitcoin will become a completely garbage is when the transactions of bitcoin will be stuck and there is a lot of high fees then after that I can say that bitcoin is completely garbage and the only thing that we can to do is to just leave and transaction to another kind of cryptocurrency which solves the current issues of bitcoin like Litecoin.

What an insightful article quoted in the OP. The truth is that everything around us is revolutionizing and we have to accept it as it comes. Everything new that comes up has to face resistance, criticism and rejection. Bitcoin is not spared in this game and that is why we see such articles appearing in the main stream media. OK I read the article and 1 thing stands out for me, its published right when bitcoins price falls back.

My initial reaction was anger but after reading comments on the preceding pages
I think there are a few points he made that are true about

I really can't get the mind setting of these people. We did saw on how bitcoin's growth move and it's progress were on a positive chart. They can't look at the brighter side that bitcoin did really gave many people a big opportunity to earn and do something good when it comes to finances. But these people really don't appreciate, they always look on a very simple problem.

Sadly they don't maintain their stand over the time and get involved with it when they find that they were wrong. I think the same thing is going to happen with bitcoin and blockchain too, we will see many people coming in our community to use and try this technology in next few years. I think we shouldn't blame them as the not everyone has the same vision and risk bearing capacity. Today we have faith in where we have involved ourselves and probably critics will join us tomorrow when the growth of it will come within the area of their vision.

Some people may want to be the ones that are going to be saying stuff like this, but this is the narrative that's going to be holding Bitcoin back from fully coming out into a global currency as it should be with the type of code behind it. Takeout the issues we're having with congestion on the network right now, and all that kind of stuff when it comes to TX issues and this currency is still amazing. Bitcoin is amazing, and it will always be an amazing piece of code that has really turned a lot of people with a lot of money in the normal banking industry turn and shake their head. Think about it, the only time regulations are going to come out are the times that the GOV is lobbied into doing it to protect someone.

So, someone was scared enough that BTC was / is / has the capability of doing such a thing that they knew they had to limit the growth of this currency. Pretty insane to fully thing about.

Bitcoin isn't garbage, it may not be the most amazing thing out there, but it's definitely amazing.
