4041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Pacquiao vs Matthysse July 15 2018 on: April 09, 2018, 01:28:10 PM
Regarding his upcoming fight with Matthysse, it is confirmed by his financial adviser Michael Koncz that he parted ways with International Boxing Hall of Famer Freddie Roach last December 2017 and one of the reason why Manny decided to part ways with Freddie Roach was about his last fight with Jeff Horn. It looks like Freddie Roach said something in the media that Manny didnt like. So this fight with Matthysse the chief trainer will his childhood friend Buboy Fernandez.

So its clear now that Freddie is out of the picture. Well, I guess every good things must come to an end. But knowing Manny, I think they parted amicably and no bad blood between the two as we have heard Manny saying that Freddie is like a second father to him. And good thing that they keep this quiet because we all know how media will spun this one and put words on their mouth specially Roach as we all know that most of the time he blurted things and media will put another meaning on it. Just sad though to see them parting ways.

Trivia: When Manny Pacquiao was knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez last 2013, the first word/name that comes out of the mouth of Manny when he started to regain consciousness was the name of Buboy.

They are best buddies. But I don't know how good Buboy being a trainer though. Maybe he learn a lot from Freddie and I'm sure that he will still apply those tricks to training Manny for his upcoming fight with Lucas Mattyse.

Well manny pacquiao won't be manny pacquiao without freddy roach. And with how things are going on in his corner, i think its clear that it's not the best decision for pacquiao to continue fighting. The loss to jeff horn should've been a sign that times are different now for the future hall of famer
4042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The way to win in gambling on: April 09, 2018, 01:22:19 PM
The first step in seeking profit in this type of game is to find an opponent that is certainly comparable to you all. Never look for players who have a class above you all. This is because if you are all beginner players in this type of gambling gambling of course you have to find out first characteristic of your opponent all of them. So you all as a beginner player will not be able to know the characteristics of your opponent play everything.
I guess you are talking about physical casino. I am sorry in my life time, I never got chances to visit such a place. Still your points are somewhat guiding me even for online gambling. Our positiveness or being optimistic nothing do help us in winning gambling rather we may go for believing into our luck factor which is the only deciding authority in gambling. There can be thousand ways to win in gambling but all works only theoretical but never in practical.

Well how often to get a chance to gauge your opponent's skill and experience? Even for beginners, some will have an immediate knack for it which would put them at an advantage. There's nothing certain about it. By definition itself of gambling, there's no certain way to win.
4043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The consequences of gambling on: April 09, 2018, 01:17:56 PM
It is the case all the time that a gambler is wasting his money as well as his precious time. Gambling cannot be played without money and as it is an activity which if done would consume time. So basically, a person is at loss ultimately.
The chances of winning big amount or even a tiny one is 50% theoretically but in reality, mostly gamblers lose their wealth. Luck goes good hardly.

Quote

not all times . some gamblers also win , so therfor they dont loose or waste any of their precious time. some gamblers do also play just for fun or only to past the time and they would really care if they won or lose , therfore they dont also waste their time when they do it.

of course it can. gambling can still be played without real money involved. you can just play gambling just for fun with your friends in order to past the time. me and my friends do always play card based gambling but without a real money involved.

Well not necessarily money, but gambling isn't gambling without something on the line. A bet perhaps or a consequence, or in more serious terms, we have people gambling with their properties and belongings. Of course all these can be taken away in a single roll. That's consequence enough for any gambler
4044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: Culture on: April 09, 2018, 11:51:41 AM
Have you ever wonder why even there are a lot of negative things gambling bought, it still doesnt leave us ? Is that so, gambling has been a part of our culture , even you have plenty or not. Rich people often socialize in the form of casino, while the poor are contented on country games with lower bets. I, as a person living on a third world country, witnessed how gambling form our culture. Town celebrations or "fiesta" are not complete without low cost gambling houses called "perya" where you can bet starting from almost $.02 and above. Every corner of the street has some kids playing coin games and even a wake makes its company awake using card games. Weird isnt it? How about in your country?
In my country gambling is regulated and its legal but you need a license and it's not easy to get one however there are many gambling games that are not consider gambling by people but that is exactly what it is, people love to play bingo in my country and they bet money on it and it's not rare to see people spend hours or even the whole day playing bingo and it is even acceptable that kids play it something I do not agree with.

Are you aware that most of the country was regulating gambling? Except on those in the poor country which I bet that gambling will not be feasible. Most of the country needs to regulate it since it involves money and it that government must apply tax for that. In my country here in Asia has a very strict law regarding gambling even if you are playing cards with your friends that involves on cents just for will might cause you to put in jail when law enforcer caught you.

On the other hand, I think most third world country is in gambling for the simply reason that everyone wants to take quick route and make easy money. However, yes, most country has been regulating gambling and some are really successful except for a few that will take the risk to gamble. Asia is known for being in gambling, just go around the casinos around the world and you will find a lot of Asian's sitting on the table, betting big money.

Well the regulations are mostly for the minors and how the gambling sites and casinos pay their taxes. There can't be any regulation about how much anyone can gamble and how much they can spend. People can break their banks and go on debt. And that has been the case for the longest time so i don't think there can or will be something done about it

Couldn't believe Harden with the nearly as good "Golden state 2016-2017 season" Houston Rockets team's record this year could not put away Oklahoma City Thunder last night.
They were knocking threes all the up until the middle of the final quarter. Then Westbrook turned on his rockets and a couple of plays (as in a steal and a setup to another team member for the score) later, they were up 10 points.
Harden got he ball stolen and then blocked with his famous lay up going hard to the rim.
I can't believe they did that going into the playoffs cause it doesn't show they are ready for the first round if they can drop a game like this in the clutch of the fourth and final corner.
The game was meant for them to clinch a playoff berth so it wasn't like they could of dropped this game if they wanted too.
So what up Harden? Embarrassed
You can't win all the games you want. Maybe that game is for Oklahoma City Thunder because Westbrook is so determined to win that one. If that is game one of a series, for sure the Houston Rockets will make some adjustments on their defense to contain Westbrook. Playoff games and elimination games are so different.

I agree, All teams are defeatable. There would be an on and off nights for the players, No matter how good a player is not all of his shots are going in. A single game cannot determine the future of the team (not unless they didn't do anything to adjust based from that game), OKC just had provided good plays and played smart basketball. Westbrook on the other side is really a top notch, his desire and passion for the game is one of a kind.

Well the thing is, it's the same dilemma the rockets had when playoff time came in last season. There were lots of expectations from them and they didn't live up to it. Though the addition of chris paul may be the answer to that, one can't help but think if that game against okc would be a preview of the playoff rockets
4046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does positive thinking affect your edge in gambling on: April 09, 2018, 11:45:04 AM
I think the main capital of gambling is experience and skill. Then the winning factor is luck. In addition we must think positively for our victory since it can affect our confidence and improve our spirits. So we can maximize ourselves in a gambling game.
However, not all gambling games need skills, there are games that base on luck if you didn't think positive it can cause huge loses.

Look at the other gamblers if you feel anger while playing you will lose more because I already experienced that if I anger while betting I put all my bets that could result to lose all of your money if you are not lucky in that time you will lose this has mostly happened than you win.

Nope i don't think so. Even newbie gamblers can hit a good amount when they get lucky. So if you're talking about a main capital for gambling, it's more on luck as well. It's very seldom that skill can be put to use and that's only for certain gambling games also.
4047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and investment - different discussion on: April 09, 2018, 11:42:49 AM
Investment its look like the same on gambling because they are both risky. But gambling you can win only if you are lucky on investing you can get easily profit or you can lose your money.
So gambling and investing are risky.

Both are very risky, but when it comes to investment there is a chance you can gain profits if you kept waiting for certain period of of time. Gambling investment is very risky and there is no chance of guarantee in it. Investment is always risky if you choose either gambling or trading.

I'm not even sure why these two are being mentioned in the same discussion. A lot of things are risky and aside from what people talk about risk, there's nothing similar about gambling and investments. The return itself is a whole lot different
4048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To quit gambling is to quit yourself on: April 09, 2018, 11:39:32 AM
It's not going to be easy even the addicted gambler wants to. He should have a support system for parents or family that will make him stronger mentally and emotionally so that he can fight the urge of gambling and finally end that worst chapter of his life.

I think parents will not support us if they know that we are gambling, through gambling many people are addicted and when the money people will get depressed and start thinking the negative way that they are not lucky enough to make money through gambling.
Usually we will not let them know that we are gambling but in the event that we face problems that is the time
that we should be honest because it's only our family that can help us.
Accept the fact that we commit mistakes because if not, this will only lead to more problems because addiction could affect your daily living.

Well even if the people around you will excert efforts to help you out, just like what the title indicated, it's all going to be about you. Once you've become so addicted, it will take tremendous determination to ne able to recover. You have to really want it for yourself.
4049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or REGRET!!! on: April 07, 2018, 04:14:37 PM
I sold my 6k ripple coins last night! Embarrassed

Lucky you!  Cheesy
Some HODL-fans still waiting - but unfortunately now price almost ten times less then you have sold.

Well if you're already down that much then it would be more logical to just wait everything out instead of losing a chance to recover along with the market. We have to understand that it's a process that has repeated several times in the past already and the market could go lower and the losses higher,  but recovery is almost certain as well.
4050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 07, 2018, 03:23:56 PM
Well, what a game I just watched between the Cavs and the 76ers. 76ers up at halftime 78-55 and look in complete control of the game, but then the Cavs had a great 3rd quarter and made it a one point game at one point in the 4th. Lebron had a chance to send the game to OT in the last 2 seconds of the game but missed the second FT. Great game by the 76ers but you cannot blow a lead like that, they started double-teaming a Lebron James that had a 40+ point triple double and had to rely on the Rookie Cedi Osman who missed two wide open 3s to take the lead but who couldnt handle the pressure, great win by the 76ers in this really important game, now they are ahead of the Cavs in the Conference. Watching this game I noticed how much help Lebron needs and how good and unexperience the 76ers can be.
This game only showed that they need Embid, the center who replace him is not scoring like he is doing.
With the way they play which is very inconsistent, this young team who ha no championship experience yet will be having a problem when playoffs come.
I agree, Joel Embid is their main man. They can't win a series without him in the middle. Also they are one of the least experience teams coming to the playoffs. If Embid won't be back this coming playoffs then they have to wait yet again for another season to try to go to the Finals.

Well even with embiid there, i don't see the sixers going to the finals anyways. And it can't be used as a reason why they can't up their game. I don't think they are thinking about that. You have to prepare with what you have. And ben simmons is solidifying his case to be this year's rookie of the year in a very stacked and talented batch.
4051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look back after a year of altcoin ? on: April 07, 2018, 03:18:52 PM
What do you have after a while finding out about altcoin. Can we lose so much?

Well even at this besr market where btc is continuously spiralling down, the value of my btc today is still higher than what it was exactly the same time last year. We probably just got carried away from the 20k run but if you think about it, if you started a year or two ago, you're still up a lot.
4052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic sell? on: April 07, 2018, 03:10:56 PM
Due to unstable price of market, Is it now the best time to sell all the holdings of altcoin and revert it back to tether for safe mode? Will the price of each altcoin keeps going down? Please can anyone reach me on this.
I think best time not for buying coin but for buying BTC because his dominance is growing.

Lol best time to sell? Following the buy high sell low policy are we? Panic selling only means removing all chances of recovering from a loss and digger yourself digger in it. It's the worst thing you can do in a red market. You lose money and you contribute to pulling the value of the coin further down
4053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Rewards: Sell immediately or HODL? on: April 07, 2018, 03:07:40 PM
Bounty rewards are free so people who got those free tokens will immediately sell it. If you want to invest in it and wait for the price to increase, hold them unless you really need a money then sell them.

They're not free because usually you also have to work for them. And you also have to do research on the coin you're supporting because if it's a good coin, then there's a big potential that it's value will increase in time.
4054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do in this bearish market? on: April 07, 2018, 03:03:24 PM
Good write-up. We have pretty little in this Bearish situation. Avoid FUD, Don’t panic, hold your coins, buy some coin as the price is low and keep patience – these are the basic things to do right now. Thanks for sharing your thought.

You can't really avoid fuds unless you completely separate yourself from anything crypto. It's everywhere in social media and the news. You probably have to learn how to live with all these and keep yourself composed. That's basically the best thing to do. Take your hands off first from crypto until the market recovers
4055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to put the tokens on the exchange? on: April 07, 2018, 02:57:23 PM
Guys is it safe to just put the purchased tokens on the exchange? cause i dont have a wallet in my android app. is it possible that it will be stolen? and claimed to be hacked? Am i doing the right way? Please can anyone help me. Thanks in advance.

Well i keep some alts im holding in exchanges though it will feel a lot safer if you get a wallet. It's not that difficult to have your own wallet anyways. I think as long as your coins are in an exchange, they're not really yours. The exchange may close or may get hacked or whatever. Take effort to create a wallet dude.
4056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Research: 14% of young Japanese people invest in cryptocurrencies on: April 07, 2018, 02:54:51 PM
Well btv is pretty popular in japan and these people are known to have interest in innovation so i don't think it's surprising even with japanese youth. They start early obviously. And its likely that this number would increase in a year or two.
4057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just RELAX, it will be OK! on: April 07, 2018, 02:51:41 PM
Why are people panic selling right now? Scared of a little regulation? That is bull! G20? All they might do is AML prevention. If you are not laundering money, nothing will happen to you!! And we don't want money launders in our midst anyway! Chillax, it will be OK!
They are panicking on the fake news and scared to loose their money so that they cut losses even if they didn't need to do that thing the tendency of this the market would continue to fall down this is why newbie need to gather information on how the bitcoin works to avoid this king of scenario why they didn't learn in the past few years.

Fake news and all these horror stories shouldn't scare you if you know what you're doing. This bear market eventually will come to an end and the bulls will run and if you succumb to all that's going on right now, you removing yourself from a position where you can seriously earn big money.
4058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think this year 1 eth will peak at $ 2000 on: April 07, 2018, 02:31:25 PM
Who knows. Probably it will. With btc also also in limbo right now but is prospected to hit another all time high in thr latter part of this year, i think many alts will follow suit. Crypto will slowly rise after this market debacle.
4059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $150 Ethereum. How can I grow/increase this amount? on: April 07, 2018, 02:28:32 PM
Dear expert money maker members,
I have $170 Ethereum as now rates. How can I grow/increase my dollar?
Someone recommend for invest in ICO progream. But I dont know very well about ICO.
Can you tell me What is ICO? And should I invest this?
Most ICO’s now are not secure and some are scam, So better to invest your 170$ in most secure coin. But your already holding a good coin which is Ethereum so better hold it because for now its price is down but it will surely upswing its price maybe by the end of the year.

Indeed. And at the state of the market right now, the best option for you would be to keep it in your wallet and wait for the market to recover. With how low the the prices of coins dropped, definitely there will be good profit simply by waiting it out
4060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 05, 2018, 12:21:33 PM
Spurs lose against the Lakers 122-112 in OT. Lakers played from the last minutes in regulation with their bench and Kuzma. Looks like Coach Luke Walton wanted to rest their starters and give some experience to the young squad of the Lakers (Or tanking) who were playing great basketball, especially against a veteran team in the Spurs that had a back to back game yesterday. Great game for the Lakers and a fatal lost for the Spurs who are still debating about their seeding in Playoffs. Lets see if they can keep that streak of consecutive Playoffs clinched in a row.
I thought they could easily dominate the Lakers, but I was wrong because instead of dominating I see a different outcome.
Actually I root for the Spurs to win because they need that win to stay comfortably in the playoff race, now it just showed that they are not consistent.

Well we've seen how the spurs are capable of winning if their backs are against the wall last month. Many were already counting them off from the playoffs but now they're in the middle of it again so i wouldn't question the spurs ability to make another run to silence haters. The young lakers played really well one the other hand. And kyle kuzma should be among the names up there when we're talking top rookies this season
