I think the rates should be a tiny bit higher. No complaining though!

It's up to Seal's discretion. I just hope he doesn't forget to adjust the rates when Bitcoin drops down to say $300. Smiley

Yup, and same for the other sig-ad runners too.
4062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I open a joint bitcoin account with my husband? on: November 19, 2013, 08:33:28 AM
For a cheap, easy way to do a "joint account", just print a paper wallet and cut the private key in two.
Now each one of you just lock guard that 1/2 key, and you have a "joint account".

I like it.  Low-tech, fun.

I made this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ahzz3ormRBhadHhiWlZDejF1aGt3Mnd5b0J6NUVSUGc&usp=sharing
Let's hope people don't spam comments on it, or I'll have to disable them Tongue.

No one's paying us to spam your Google doc, or at least no line's paying me.

What is the name of the Chinese exchange that's doing all this volume?
4065  Economy / Economics / Re: major Senate hearing on bitcoin, watch live! on: November 19, 2013, 08:12:31 AM
Awesome, just awesome

Don't want to go overboard with optimism but sounds like the hearing went pretty well

Synopsis on Slashdot was very positive.

I'm surprised ppl are still using this site, the payouts are so low.
4067  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's stupid that newbies must make 5 posts and browse for 4 hours. Here's why on: November 19, 2013, 07:30:16 AM
I've been a member here for over three years, but haven't before had a reason to post anything (I'm more of a lurker than a poster) so I wasn't even aware I wasn't able to post outside newbie section until now. But now i need to send a PM so here I am making my first post. Guess I just have to wait my hours now (one would think more than 3 years without making a post would be enough to show one is not a spammer).

You've waited three years, just three hours to go...

What is this thread about?  I'm confused.

I'm also confused by the topic of the OP I'm not sure if people are supposed to add some opinions or just take it for what it is.  I do agree that the community needs to figure out a way for the average person to get bitcoins in their hands.

AND for the community to start spending them in a manner where retailers see benefit. Maybe local communities organizing a random bitblitz every once in a while - where 100 bitcoiners converge on a store accepting bitcoin at a specified time and have the media there to cover the spending and filming transactions happening. Other store owners would see the line and "want some of that action". Bottom line is as long as we have many hoarders and only a few spenders, the math suggests that the hoarders will end up with them all. Then where will we be.

A good idea, has this happened somewhere?
4071  Economy / Services / Re: The oldest sig ad campaign - get 0.3 BTC/month for free! No need to keep posting on: November 16, 2013, 11:33:22 AM
Lol.  Campaign is dead.  Tf is retired living off yall's bitcoins.  But the thread keeps on going...

I finally looked at localbitcoins.  Seems like the buyers in my area want a lower price than bitcoinaverage
4074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie trying to gain confidence on: November 16, 2013, 11:26:20 AM
i don't no why people bother with faucets, why would anyone want to sit at a computer all day to earn 1 dollar.

I suppose the answer is quite simple. The person wants some bitcoin and what better way to spend some time getting them just by clicking links. Its only some time and effort required and you will actually see the coins dropping into your wallet albeit dust... The next progression from the faucet would be to make even more bitcoin, so that person may then become a miner, a seller of goods and end up ruling the world...

Yes.  This is right!

Why do people sit on the side of the street holding cardboard signs?  :-)

I don't mean to be rude, but I find this comparison quite obtuse.
4076  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: November 16, 2013, 11:23:11 AM
please update now bit777 not accepting new members they are closed

Hmm I wonder if that's going to affect the pay rate.
4077  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: November 16, 2013, 11:21:53 AM
So, all available options are based on posts per month...

Yup. TradeFortress was offering the only campaign that paid for existing posts and was open for new participants, but it folded after recent events.

BitcoinLiveBets.com pays indipendently of post per month and number of posts.
It is the only non spam friendly campaign.
This forum would be a better place if they were all like this

I agree. There's a weird tension for me between the east btc I get for posting quick replies which is goid for me and the fact that this actually makes the forum a worse place generally.

4079  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: November 16, 2013, 11:18:15 AM
Hi! Is anybody interested in buying a 50k krill account? You get to play all the freerolls, including the 10 btc freeroll which runs every 22 days and had 60 entries the last time. Also, 19% rakeback.
We could set up an escrow on 2p2 or maybe here if there are reputable posters who offer it.

They changed the freeroll structure after I made this post, which makes my account mainly worth anything for the 19% rakeback. Total additional rakeback up to 50k krills is worth about 1,685 btc. I'll show you how I calculated it, if you pm me.

"worth anything" is confusing.  What do you mean?
4080  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: November 16, 2013, 11:16:31 AM
Because somebody played on seals year ago,he'll be freerolling for life?Bad business for Seals and bad for current players.
For example if Mikon play last month on some Nevada site and not on Seals f....him he shouldn't be able play krill freeroll.
LOL       Smiley

Not sure I understand you, but if I do I disagree.

If Micon is brought back to the seals site because he can play a fr there, that makes seals look popular + he probably plays w any free roll chips he wins on seals (I know I do so with mine).  How is this bad for anyone?

Without freerolls, maybe he stays in Nevada.
