There were two completely different halves in the Barcelona - Celta Vigo game. Barcelona dominated the first half and Pedri scored the winner. However in the second half, Celta Vigo somehow were able to do the same against Barcelona as for dominance. They found so many chances to score but wasted all of them. Barcelona players seemed very desperate to be productive in this half interestingly. I wonder what changed this much quickly. They could have lost their lead because of this struggle.

Liverpool did their best in offense just as they did against Brighton on the previous week as well. However they were again the victim of their poor defending. How can there be zero improvement in defense still? They conceded the half of the goal amount they conceded in total in the last two games already. They can't go on like this.
Arsenal were very comfortable about scoring the goals there against them. Normally you would expect Liverpool to have control of the game and not to concede even one goal easily in this kind of big games. They are still not able to solve the problems of their defenders and this causes us to watch unexpected performances from big names.

Xabi Alonso has made a really great start with Leverkusen by the way. They destroyed Schalke by 4-0 home and didn't let Schalke find much chance to score as well. This dominance was promising for the future games maybe but I still don't want to be sure of anything. Because this game was against one of the worst teams of the season so far.
Next time the opponent is Frankfurt in an away game. This is going to be a big test for Xabi Alonso. Leverkusen couldn't win any away game against them in the league for five years. This is another tough one. I'd rather trust both teams to score rather than a side.

Udinese - Atalanta is an interesting game today.
Udinese are the favourite in this one by a small margin according to bookies. Atalanta's main goalkeeper is still injured so I wonder if this will affect them negatively. However it seems like the current goalkeeper is doing a good work as he didn't concede any goal against Roma and Fiorentina. He played in only these games as well. Atalanta are the best team in defense currently as they've conceded only three goals. On the other hand, Udinese are one of the bests as for attacking teams (17 goals). Both teams to score @1.70 is a pretty good choice I think.

Chelsea have finally started to enter the right path. There was a significant improvement in their performance in their league game against Wolves today. It was a very clear 3-0 win at the end. Potter didn't prefer Aubameyang in this game interestingly but Havertz did a good job by scoring a goal anyway. They need to maintain a winning streak as long as possible to have the old Chelsea back.
Chelsea are currently enjoying what we know as a new manager impact, everybody is trying to impress the new manager so they can be favorite ahead of the others. I just hope this energy continues when Potter has gotten his starting eleven. In regards to the performance, that we most appreciate because for sometime now it seems Chelsea lacked determination to win games but in yesterday game, we saw everybody been determined to win their tackle. Mount has two assist and his overall game was super brilliant. Gallagher was another brilliant player on the pitch and from the way he has been playing, I'm very optimistic about him. My area of interest in the squad is the goalkeeper position. Mendy was our N01 choice before the switch in manager and it seems Kepa is keen on taking back his position because from the saves he has been making recently and the clean sheets just goes to show how determined he's to retain that spot. Mendy also refusing to sign a new contract and wanting to earn as much as Kepa could see him leaving the club very soon. Mendy's injury was a good opportunity for Kepa to show himself once again to earn his place in the starting eleven. Mendy missed two games and he was benched in three games recently as well. Kepa scored one goal in each game until the last two ones. He didn't concede any goal against Milan and Wolves. This performance must have impressed Potter to continue with him. He has a huge match fitness unlike Mendy now so there is no need for a change yet. |

Real Madrid really continue to get great results in the league. The opponent was Getafe and they weren't a good team that can make big difficulties for Real Madrid already. The first half was completely one-sided and Real Madrid scored the only goal of the game in the 3rd minute already. Rodrygo was so close to scoring the relieving goal but it was disallowed due to offside.
Anyway the most important point was getting that win in the end. However it looks like they can keep the lead for only one day because Barcelona would defeat Celta Vigo in Camp Nou most probably take back the lead.

It was a typical "der Klassiker" except not having Haaland and Lewandowski anymore.
We watched many goals as usual and there was a 2-2 draw at the end. Bayern Munich were actually doing really well after bringing the score to 2-0. But Dortmund's scoring a goal finally made them more hopeful about one point at least. Bayern Munich got a red card which made things even more interesting. Dortmund finally found the goal they were searching for in literally the last minute. It must be very devastating for Bayern Munich players to miss the chance of a win very closely. Modeste was impressive by one goal and an assist and he saved his team here.

PSG still managed to open the gap with Marseille a little more despite losing two points against Reims. Ramos' unnecessary red card made things harder for the team. They still found many goal chances after the incident as well. But it still ended 0-0. Neymar entered the game not much time after the second half started. But this wasn't enough for a win anyway.
Marseille had a big chance to equalize the points but surprisingly they lost to Ajaccio home. It was like their opponent was one of the worst teams in the league. I really don't get how they managed to lose a game like this after a 9-game unbeaten series.

Milan got what they wanted by a decent score, 2-0. Honestly I was pretty confident about both teams to score but Juventus had a really big difficulty in scoring a goal. After seeing some progress in the previous two games I was expecting them to fight hard against Milan as well. But it looks like not much thing has changed yet. Allegri's subbing Vlahovic off in the 78th minute was also interesting because he was the closest player of the team to score in the end.
Milan's problem was with finding the target actually because only 3 out of 21 shots were on target. They must be thankful for scoring two of them. But this performance still needs some improvement in attacking. They can't always be this much productive in few shots.

It was really difficult to keep Brighton away from scoring any goal but Tottenham somehow managed to do this. They won by 1-0 and this was really like a game that we could have seen more goals. Kane scored the winning goal and Son was also impressive by an assist. It was interesting to watch Brighton this much desperate after having a really strong performance against Liverpool.
It was of course due to Liverpool's bad defending but I can't say that Tottenham were awesome either. Because we all saw that in the Arsenal game. But winning this tough game without conceding any goal is a good example of a strong mental after that loss in a big game. Tottenham are really ambitious this season and they are one of the top candidates of top 4.

Atletico Madrid didn't surprise anyone by taking the win against Girona home. Correa had a great day by scoring two goals and had the biggest role in the 2-1 win. Athletic Bilbao and Betis are going to be their opponents on two of their next three game weeks in the league and both are away games. At the moment, those two teams are the best ones in home games.
Considering that Atletico Madrid have a really difficult job on those weeks. It's like an opportunity to show how serious they are in this season. If they get poor results then I won't expect much thing from them this season. Otherwise they might be able to do better this time.

Inter had a really tough game today but they still managed to find a way to beat Sassuolo by 2-1 away.
Dzeko was the savior of the team today by scoring two goals. In Lukaku's absence, he is doing a nice job. Lukaku is returning on October 16 according to Transfermarkt. After he comes back, I expect him to make a great duo with Martinez once again. This win was a big need for Inter in the league. After defeating Barcelona they were already in a good shape mentally. Maybe Sassuolo made big difficulties for them still but they couldn't prevent Inter from getting the win.

Sevilla are going to face another difficult opponent like Athletic Bilbao. Honestly I don't think that Sevilla are very close to a win here as well. Bookmakers think the same way by showing Athletic Bilbao as the favourite. Sevilla's last results against them might be misleading as they won two times in a row recently. But Sevilla are in a really bad shape now.
They have changed their manager only two days ago though. Sampaoli is in charge from now on but he didn't have much time to build some relationship with the team. I don't think Sevilla would react to this change positively this much fast. I don't expect Athletic Bilbao to lose this.

I find the odds for Fiorentina - Lazio really interesting. I mean that Fiorentina are somehow the favourite team of this game according to bookmakers. There is a big form difference between these teams now. Fiorentina are in a really bad shape these days. The last two head-to-head games were also in favour of Lazio. When we take Lazio's current performance in the league in the recent times, I think they have a significant chance to win this.
Therefore I'll give Lazio another chance in this game also @2.88.

Leicester finally got their first win last week and hopefully this will help them improve their performance from now on. They need to stay solid in defense to increase their chance of winning highly. Because they don't have any offensive issues. They have even scored the same amount of goals with the team in 4th position which are Brighton now. Bournemouth are another problematic team and this is a good chance for Leicester to maintain a winning streak.
Even though the game is an away one I still think Leicester can win this.

Atletico Madrid must be close to making the deal permanent now. Griezmann has always been showing his best performance at Atletico Madrid actually. Barcelona have made a huge mistake by signing him permanently. Now they are just trying to get rid of him as fast as possible. As they have made many transfers in the recent times, they had better raise some funds to relieve more financially.
Maybe they have made new sponsorship deals they are still not in a very bright financial condition. As they are going to pay a lot of money for salaries as well it is better for them to sell Griezmann. His salary is quite high now.

This time Atletico Madrid seem like they have started to improve their form earlier compared to the previous season. This is a good sign for them to fight for top places easier. I don't know if they can maintain their claim for the title until the end of the season but we will see. If they are eliminated from the Champions League early then their main target would be the La Liga. Otherwise I don't know how much good they can balance both tournaments.
Their next game is against Girona home and I expect a comfortable win. They had better win that before playing a very difficult game against A. Bilbao after that.
I don't think Atletico Madrid's performance is good enough. Atlético Madrid has won 4 out of 7 matches. And they scored 12 goals in 7 matches. The performance of Athletic Club and Real Betis is still better than that of Atletico Madrid. And so it is still completely uncertain whether Atlético Madrid will qualify for the Champions League. Atlético Madrid will not fight for the title. Atletico Madrid's aim is to qualify for the Champions League. They have a strong squad. If the coach is able to implement his match strategy correctly, maybe Atletico Madrid will qualify for the Champions League. They are still bad in the Champions League as they got another loss. But in the La Liga, there has been some improvement in their performance. They were really impressive against Sevilla in their last game. If they keep that performance in offense they can start a nice winning streak. But of course they are still not one of the most reliable teams of the league. They need to earn this by being more consistent. Even if they don't manage to beat either Barcelona or Real Madrid, they must be able to stay strong against weaker teams than them. |

Milan - Juventus is going to be the main event of the day surely.
Milan have been in a little better condition than their opponent in the league recently. However Juventus have finally started to make improvement. First they won against Bologna comfortably and after that they defeated Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League. This must have improved their morale quite much already. Juventus can't get a win against Milan for three head-to-head games. Honestly this is likely to be another one as they are still in a recovery phase. I know that Milan lost to Chelsea but I still expect them to play much better in the Serie A. Maybe I can go for both teams to score and Milan choices for this game. The latter is riskier maybe but it feels like Milan might win by a small margin.

Brighton - Tottenham is going to be a really interesting game tomorrow.
Tottenham beat them away last season but they haven't been too dominant against Brighton in their recent head-to-head games. Brighton are still doing a good job despite losing Graham Potter to Chelsea. They showed a great performance against Liverpool and proved how strong they can play against the biggest teams of the league as well. Tottenham had better be well-prepared for this game after losing against Arsenal the last time. Brighton are a very effective team at scoring so Tottenham should care about their defense as much as possible. However I still see both teams to score as the best choice.
