It is actually a very hard decision for Barcelona. It seems to me that they are having trouble deciding which one to give more importance to, which is why they cannot make up their minds. They will have to give equal importance to both La Liga and also the Champions League. We know that Barcelona has been giving a lot of importance to La Liga. Hahahaha...... Is this not the same thought I had? That Xavi's pattern is archaic and it's based on the olden rules of the game. Xavi had retired from the pitch before the Reformation. I'm not saying that it means the new Reformation can't be learnt but there's this difference between an officially tutored pianist and a self-taught,  yeah.
It's heroic to have someone like him to coach Barcelona but at the same time , Barcelona ain't looking for a hero because football isn't a one-man game and that's what a hero does. I don't know if they can maintain their claim for the title until the end of the season but we will see. If they are eliminated from the Champions League early then their main target would be the La Liga. Otherwise I don't know how much good they can balance both tournaments.

Their next game is against Girona home and I expect a comfortable win. They had better win that before playing a very difficult game against A. Bilbao after that.

I don't think Atletico Madrid's performance is good enough. Atlético Madrid has won 4 out of 7 matches. And they scored 12 goals in 7 matches. Another challenge this week for Barcelona will be to complete the task of picking up another 3 points against Celta Vigo in the coming days. Celta Vigo is the easiest task for Barcelona in October from now on. They will play just after vs Inter in CL, then Real Madrid in La Liga then Villarreal and Bilbao which aren't easy opponents then Bayern to finish 2 weeks of hard games.
So the risk of injuries, fatigue, red cards absence is quite elevated here and might alter the performance of the club.

1 easy match and the other 3 are quite troublesome opponents, not to mention they have to face Inter in the Champions League which makes this even more difficult for them.
A tough match will obviously be one of the reasons why the players are now quite difficult, especially in this case there are still some of them being treated and Xavi must be smart in maximizing his current players because if it is too portioned, it is worried that injured players will increase.

It may become the worst possibility to happen with barcelona. The more players got injury and this will be affecting the performance from the club. I can't deny the fact that if so many players got injury will make barcelona can give its best performance. The result against intermilan has been showing how it was significantly affecting the performance from the team itself. The best team can't be used by xavi. he needs more than only rotation to solve the problem in barcelona.

Losing Kounde and Araujo was definitely a burden indeed.
for the midfield they can still be covered when there is no De Jong but for the defense this is something else because indeed they are still a little difficult to keep their defense.

I wasn't aware of that (Moreno's absence). I was going to say that, like in financial markets, past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results, but the absentia is a compelling reason to tilt the balance to the other side, or at least a draw, if Villareal's defence is as solid as you think it is.

Either way, it will be an interesting match to see because the result will have a straight effect in the classification (they are 7th and 8th, so the winner will immediately be above the loser, no matter what other teams do).
