Xavi has officially returned to Camp Nou. Fixing Barcelona will not happen overnight, but there will be tremendous progress with the right tactician and collective effort. The present squad and the coach are trustworthy. It's not a good squad for him, but I hope he can bring back those old glory days. The squad may not be as strong. But the squad is not weak. There are many talented players in the current squad of Barcelona. Xavi must first blend in well with all the young players. I think it’s extremely likely we’ll see a new all time high in the next 48 hours as we venture back into price discovery territory. As an investor, there are few words that excite me more than ‘price discovery’ and I’m looking forward to it.

In French League we have few issues which bring them one of most unpredictable League in Europe just very few teams having good track record but mostly can go very up and down in very quick time like we have Lille last year's champions is currently very low in rank hopefully we will be able to have some better results from Rennes in coming weeks.
Rennes will face next Montpellier which is doing quite good lately too, while Lyon will face OM then Montpellier. It seems that Rennes could keep its position for a while. |

I hope that Bayern Munich don't pull away from their opponents at some point and get another easy title this season. I'm really bored to see them being the champions all the time. I'm aware of the big quality difference among Bayern Munich and the rest of the teams in the Bundesliga. But this shouldn't be a hindrance for any other team to win the title. Just as Leicester managed to do this in the EPL with an average squad, some other team can do this here too.
Personally I don't blame Bayern for doing good but the other teams that let it run away from them when they show an upsetting performance and losing points easily.. It is just like PSG in Ligue 1, annoying to find them winning most of the time and it is what makes the other top leagues better. |

Milan lost an opportunity to take the advantage and lead the table but getting 1 point and staying close to Napoli isn't a bad result after all. Milan's 5 next games are medium to easy if I could say so then they will face Napoli. In the other hand and as you pointed out in your previous post, Napoli will face Inter, Lazio and Atalanta before playing vs Milan. Unless Napoli shows an exceptional performance, Milan will take the lead in the next round or 2. |

Perhaps after the break for the national teams, we will again see a series of failures for the top clubs, since they suffer the most from the fact that a much larger part of their roster (compared to smaller clubs), instead of resting, spend their energy in national team matches. Those who are lucky enough to pass this stage with less losses will get a good advantage.
They suffer more from injuries which will cost them a player for several weeks rather than exhausted players which could recover in few days In the next round, there is many interesting games, Chelsea - Leicester, Wolves - West Ham, Liverpool - Arsenal and Man City - Everton. Hertha Berlin and Bayer Leverkusen drew 1-1 and Robert Andrich scored an equalizer for Bayer in added time. notably it's the first draw for Hertha in 11 Bundesliga matches.
Leverkusen is struggling from a while, ironically their drops come with Leipzig woking up. Didn't pay attention for Hertha first draw but of course they were in the relegation zone for a while before getting out of it lately. M'Gladbach and Union are also good teams that aren't consistent and the most disappointing team so far is Frankfurt, they even toppled Hertha for that.. Almost in the relegation zone and failing to score in the first half vs Furth. Furth didn't a win a single game (yet)! |

Still, Paris Saint-Germain managed to get three points. They won again in the match without Messi. Neymar and Mbappe needed to show off and they did it well. They've already increased the points gap to ten, it's very hard to catch them.
If things continue like that, PSG will get the title by round 32. The ironic thing is that there isn't a real competitor for them. OM, Nice, Rennes, Lyon aren't stable at all. Lens lost 6 points in the last 5 games and not sure for how long they could stay 2nd. Lille is a joke this season. So today we will see Liverpool's defeat for the first time  it turned out that Liverpool was unable to maintain the record until mid-season then Arsenal who became a ridicule slowly rose to the board I don't expect they can do it well. *Wow Liverpool seems to chase need another goal to share points Quite upsetting result for Liverpool.. Odds are better for Leipzig @2.07 comparing with Dortmund @3.35 which I find illogical! Leipzig isn't able to win as used to be, getting draw vs easier teams or even a random defeat while Dortmund results are good overall even without Haaland in the field. I had to check odds twice to verify that bookies are backing Leipzig! After today's Champions League matches, I tend to agree with the opinion of the bookmakers. Leipzig played almost on equal terms with PSG, while Borussia failed in the match with Ajax. Of course, this failure can be attributed to the early removal and that Ajax is on fire this season, but nevertheless, a home defeat in such an important match means a lot. And bookies were right! Leipzig which was backed by bookies won 2-1 vs Dortmund. Wonder know if Haaland presence would shift that score! Bayern won vs Freiburg, giving them their first defeat this season. |

Milan is drawing a successful graphic in Serie A, but it could not show the same success in the champions league. They were able to collect 1 point in 4 matches. They are in the last row of group B. I even see the probability of finishing the group in third place low. It may be an early farewell from Milan. Beşiktaş could not score in Group C. They lost the chance to leave the group and the chance to continue in the European league. Liverpool and Ajax won 4/4 in these two groups and left the group with 12 points.
Milan couldn't compete in CL with such performance. If their intention is to focus on Serie A then I would say good choice, at least better than wasting energy and risking injuries for nothing. |

Aston Villa's situation is very complicated, they already have 5 consecutive losses, I wonder what the club's management is doing to reverse this situation, which is not good, there was a phase when they were doing well, and suddenly they are having a bad performance, does anyone know what is going on with Aston villa to be with this bad performance?

Galatasaray are one of the interesting teams in the tournament right now. Because they have really interesting statistics. Among the leaders of the groups, they are the least scoring team with 3 goals now. At the same time, they are the least conceding team with 1 goal also. Maybe they are not the best offensively but they are the best team defensively so far. I wonder if they will manage to keep this up in the remaining two games also.
Yet they didn't secure a place for the next round since Lazio and OM could overtake them in case Galatasaray will lose the next two games against them by the way. |

I really don't know what's happening Borussia Dortmund when it comes to champions league football, these guys have really failed to make their mark this time around... and particularly against Ajax! This team has really given them a tough time such that from the two games played between themselves the Germany giants have not picked a single point from this fixture what a shocker for me! I hope their uefa aspirations are still alive because I see them being knocked out at this stage!
Dortmund has to win against Sporting next to qualify, yet losing twice vs Ajax isn't promising in the next stages were they will find a tough opponents.. PSG is also disappointing, although qualifying to the next stage isn't that hard but failure to win yesterday is quite sad.. |
