4102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet was restored fine but "unspendable". on: April 24, 2020, 08:43:32 PM
How did you recover you wallet using a 15-word phrase?

I just checked "Recover Funds" on blockchain wallet. It asks you to enter a 12-word seed phrase. So that tool has been designed to recover your wallet using a 12-word phrase.

Since the backup phrase blockchain wallet gives you includes 12 words, I guess you backed up your wallet in the old-version of blockchain wallet and that's why your phrase includes 15 words.
If so, you need to contact their support to recover your wallet.
4103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction Confirmed But I can't spent balance Says 'Not Enough Funds' on: April 23, 2020, 09:00:06 PM
There's still something odd; if you check the address with the blockhain explorer, you see that it has only received once and sent once, but balance is doubled, whereas if you look at it in blockchair, it's a single input and output, with a 0 end balance.

I checked three other addresses in output of this transactions. The balances shown for two of them are also wrong.

For example, this address has received only one transaction and the received amount is 0.015 BTC. But blockchain.com explorer says that, it has received two transactions and the balance is 0.04 BTC. If you scroll down, you will see only one transaction.

As it is shown in the screenshot provided by OP, the transaction was RBF. I guess the bug is related to replace by fee transactions.
Maybe the blockchain.com  explorer is including both transactions (the replaced transaction and the final transaction) in calculation of final balance for some addresses.

I just checked your post history and found one of posts in which the image is not shown correctly.

You must change http to https.

Below is the code you used in one of your posts.

Code:

It should be as follows.

4105  Other / Meta / Re: What is exactly the functionality of "Report to moderator"? on: April 22, 2020, 09:10:38 PM
I understand, but is there an ETA until my other reports will be checked? I made the reports on April 16th and only a few have been analyzed on April 16th and 17th. Since then no other report was checked...

Some reports may remain unhandled forever.
Below is what is stated on report history page.

Quote
When a report stays unhandled, this does not mean that no moderators were available to look at it; rather, it means that several moderators looked at it, but none of them was sure whether it should be acted upon or not. A report that stays unhandled can be thought of as "soft-bad", since no moderator positively thought that it warranted action.
4106  Other / Meta / Re: Should this be allowed? on: April 21, 2020, 10:50:34 AM
Asking participants to post in certain threads is against the rules. But the rule isn't applied to certain boards as well.
There are campaigns that don't count posts in some boards. But they are actually doing the same thing. Because they are asking people to post in boards other than excluded boards. (The number of included boards in those campaigns is much higher of course).

Any way, in my opinion the forum shouldn't allow the campaign stated in the OP to run. It will certainly lead to spam. But as I said, I don't think it is against the current rules. Perhaps it is needed to add a new rule.
4107  Other / Meta / Re: An user spamming all over the forum on: April 21, 2020, 10:35:55 AM
All his posts got deleted except for one yesterday. This morning he started another spam spree and is spreading that link to his site in service announcements for other projects. Maybe the admins should start considering a ban, or temp ban, because he is obviously here for the wrong reasons.
JohnPerino was just nuked.

I am not sure but aren't "ownership queued" means that the ownership of the account hasn't been transferred completely and the OP still do not have access to his account? anyway, how do can I access the security log beside putting seclog.php on the URL?
Yes, you are right. I didn't know the process. I just found this post by Theymos.

As an extra protection against any possible social engineering attacks, whenever* the administration changes an account's email address from its current value, the following process occurs:
 - The change is queued.
 - It is listed in seclog.php.
 - The old email receives a warning.
 - After 7 days, the change goes through and another seclog.php entry is added.

The account stays locked throughout all of this.

So, the account should be unlocked 7 days later.

anyway, how do can I access the security log beside putting seclog.php on the URL?
I don't think there is any other way to access that page.
4109  Other / Meta / Re: FYI: Stolen Account on: April 20, 2020, 10:42:20 PM
It seems that, the appeal has been accepted. Razick has already recovered his account.

Security log

Edit:
The OP is still in process of recovering his account. It has not finished yet.
Thank you acroman08.

Is this a bug from BPIP or the forum? or I am missing something?

Interesting. Looks like a BPIP bug but I'm not sure how this could happen. Maybe some issue with the "Today" in the timestamps.

There's a same issue with some other profiles. All of them are not like the one already mentioned.
For example, this profile woke up twice. But both are on one day.

I could find an archived page of seclog.
All information inside the box below has been recorded twice.

4112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitinfocharts.com what is wallet id number? on: April 19, 2020, 08:26:31 PM
Every wallet includes multiple addresses.

If addresses A and B are spent in a single transaction, they will get connected to each other into a wallet. If addresses B and C are spent in another transaction, address C will go to that wallet and get connected with A and B.

If there is no wallet associated with an address, it means that address has never been spent with any other address in one transaction.

For example, if you go to wallet number 967 and then click on "show addresses", you will see a list including 7 addresses.

Bitinfocharts shows the balance over time for addresses and wallets (A collection of multiple addresses) as well.
4113  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. on: April 19, 2020, 10:25:12 AM
Just in Case you find more if this Spam somewhere !

Found that in the Altcoin Mining section , 5 threads from 5 diffrent Users  !
This link shows why they are making these topics.
All of them should be deleted ASAP.

We need a rule against paid articles published on forum? (It is usually difficult to prove it of course and those posts can be removed for advertisement as well.)

Edit: Three out of five threads haven't been deleted yet. I reported them and referred to that link on Medium. Let's see how moderators will handle my reports.

Edit 2: All three reports were marked as good.
4114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All of my bitcoin questions gathered. I need some help here... on: April 18, 2020, 11:30:51 PM
1) Okay so the first question I have is about blocks. If you go here: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin you will see a transaction live count. It gets increased and decreased as well. Why it does? Are miners involved in this?
Transaction number hasn't yet changed for me but I assume when a block is found, they may find the average and add it on or it may decrease when a block becomes orphaned.
I guess the OP is referring to number of transactions in the last 24 hours or number of transactions in mempool.

To OP:

Total number of transactions is always rising.

If you are referring to number of transactions in the last 24 hours:
That depends on new transactions and also transactions that had been made 24 hours ago.
Assume that at the time I am writing this post, 1000 new transactions are made while 1200 transactions had been made 24 hours ago. Number of transactions should decrease by 200.

If you are referring to number of transactions in mempool:
They are unconfirmed transactions.
If transactions that are being confirmed are more that new transactions that come to mempool, that number should decrease.

Note that, after a transaction is verified by a node, it goes to mempool and will remain there until it is included in a block by a miner.

4115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I lost my old bitcoin wallet on: April 18, 2020, 07:25:02 PM
Reading previous posts in this thread, I feel that you worry about being accused of not being the real owner of your account if you change that address.
The address shown in your profile is 1H2MwhKRRgg8SAqQ4rvFnwr9s3MBRsAqqc.

Even if you are accused of not being the real owner of your account, you cannot prove your ownership using this address. Because you have never used it before.  I checked your post history and couldn't find that address. The balance of that address is also zero. So, I don't think there is any benefit in having control of that address.

You have signed message from a different address.

Perhaps you have changed your profile address recently and you are trying to gain access to that segwit address, so you can prove your ownership in future in case of being accused.
If this is the case, I am sure that address doesn't belong to blockchain wallet. Because blockchain wallet doesn't support segwit.

4117  Economy / Reputation / Re: Aren't this kind of replies suspicious? on: April 17, 2020, 09:04:40 PM
That's impossible to find out whether they are legit users or not. As long as there is no proof, I assume that they are legit users.

What can make it suspicious is that the OP of that thread has created a self-moderated topic and deleted two posts till now.
It was better to reply to those who don't trust him instead of deleting their posts.

Below are deleted posts.

1. http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5423/54236177.html
2. http://loyce.club/archive/posts/5423/54239271.html

Edit:
I agree with TryNinja (The post below)
Till now, no one has claimed that they didn't get back the money. It's too early to judge.
But I still believe that he shouldn't use the power of self-moderation for deleting those posts. Better to replying anyone don't trust him with proof that they are going to refund lost balances or leave them as they are without any reply at least.

Hope everyone get back the money deserve.
4118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: April 17, 2020, 04:08:56 PM
To avoid misconception because it seems you make a mistake. Do you mean you dont charge fees for token kept on exchange? If you dont charge less than 0.001Gold, is the fee only applied for working days or round the clock?

Below is the post already made by GOLD_official regarding the fee charged for tokens kept on exchanges.

According to the agreement with exchanges, where Digital Gold has made a listing, the 0.99% fee is not taken. Any user can keep tokens in his exchange account for years and not pay 0.99% for management.
4119  Other / Meta / Re: Should this kind of disgusting posting behavior be allowed? on: April 15, 2020, 08:58:19 PM
You are wrong and not on pint, he is promoting under his very name thing that's been done for years anywhere actualy. If this was made a actual rule then a lot of legit accounts and actualy any service account would get banned.

Users are not allowed to talk about their services everywhere in the forum.
For example, a gambling website can have a thread in the forum and post about their website and promote it in their thread, but they are not allowed to advertise their site in every other threads.

Look at the screenshot below. Five posts made by coinfunda has recently been reported by someone and removed by moderators. If more posts are reported, the ban hammer will come down on this user.

4120  Other / Meta / Re: Should this kind of disgusting posting behavior be allowed? on: April 15, 2020, 08:31:30 PM
sadly there are no rules prohibiting this kind of advertising(unless it is a referral link which is against the forum rules) but you can always press the report moderator.

No, the forum has rule regarding this kind of advertising.
Rule number 22:

22. Advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.) in others threads' is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, in altcoin announcement threads. [8]

So, it is not allowed to advertise in other threads. It is only allowed to advertise services in some specific boards (only in the thread started by the user, not in other threads) like gambling, services, ANN threads, etc.
I usually report posts that includes links to other websites and made for advertising purposes. They are always marked as good.

According to following post  made by mprep, there are only some exceptions in altcoins announcements.

As per this shift, the following type of posts are now allowed in coin threads:

  • Posts about block explorers. ("Here is a new block explorer for this coin" type posts)
  • If a service comes up in a disussion and directly related to the coin, it's allowed
  • "We're up" messages for pools (if it's only once per thread)
  • "This exchange added coin" type posts for exchanges (again, if it's only once per thread)
