4121  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc dump today and yesterday on: February 26, 2021, 11:22:47 PM
Well, regardless of the dump, smart hodlers will know that this is a temporary setback for a comeback. Ignore the dump, hodl your btc, if possible, seek to buy more. The comeback will be massive.

My favourite thing is complaining about insubstantial posts.

The funniest reason I have read, lol. I guess whatever reasons we have that brings us together to this forum is good.
4124  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your success formula? on: February 26, 2021, 02:33:24 PM
Whatever your ideal routine is, i believe being consistent with it i.e sticking to it is the real challenge. However, the formula/method to develop consistency is to take each day at a time. Common research says a habit is formed/broken in 21days, so if you can handle each day at a time, successful sticking to the ideal habits you want for yourself for 21days, it will become easier to continue, and you will be successful in your pursuit.
4125  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Bitcoinaires on: February 25, 2021, 04:55:56 AM
It has occurred to me that we could start to use the term bitcoinaire in the same way we use the term millionaire today. A millionaire is someone who has $1M net worth (assets minus liabilities).

A millionaire is someone who has 1M and more in any currency, be it the dollars, pounds, yen etc.

The term "bitcoinair"is limited, because l if adopted will mean someone with 1M worth btc or more. What about someone with over 1M worth digital currency that is not necessarily "bitcoin", let's say ETH, will that person still be referred to as a "bitcoinaire"?

I think the most appropriate term for this is "Cryptonaire" that is someone with over a million worth crypto currency ( be it btc or any other).
4126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Mainstreaming of Bitcoin and Crypto Continues on: February 25, 2021, 04:34:46 AM
Big firms and companies investing in Bitcoin. Tesla, Micro Strategy and Twitter are just to name a few, pushing for global adoption.
Is this a sign for a long term investment or just pump and dump for them?

It is difficult to consider the influx of companies to btc as a "pump and dump scheme". Every visionary knows that the world is constantly evolving and changing, and since the start of the digital world (internet) that sooner or later, a new digital currency was bound to surface.

The btc train is a moving train, and most companies and individuals with enough resources are looking to join in and catch the gains, before the price value becomes stable. So i will say to the best of my understanding that to them, "Btc is considered a long term investment".
4127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone over here accepting Crypto as payment ?... on: February 25, 2021, 04:14:30 AM
In my business, i accept BTC amd ETH for certain transactions. After i receive and confirm (you must confirm because people are dubious), i live them there in my wallet. This is to say that whatever transaction someone makes with me and offers to pay in crypto, i simply see it as an exchange of service with investment.
4128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Federal Reserve Bank Of Boston statement! on: February 25, 2021, 04:05:57 AM

"I would suspect, down the road, that a number of central banks will have digital currency," he said.

If it gets to that, unless the central banks plan to enforce the use of their digital currency, i see a situation where individuals might not be so excited to buy it reasons being that;

(a) There are so many other coins in the market, some with good prospects, why will they wantt to buy a new coin?
(b). Most people have lost trust in the government, and they will not like to get involved with a digital currency that is controlled by the government through the central bank.
4129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 24, 2021, 08:32:09 PM
Martin Braithwaite really played so well tonight, Messi on the other hand is still giving us his normal goal doses. With this win putting FCB in 3rd place, do you see topping Athletico Madrid amd Real Madrid to win the league?
4130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: February 24, 2021, 07:53:25 PM
The Chelsea team are really good at holding on to a lead especially when playing a very good team for a long time. I just hope that they will be able to the on the win in the second leg match coming sometime soon.
4131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you think about the few days deep on: February 24, 2021, 06:51:30 PM

Do we expect another deep soon?

This is the dip before the setting of a new ATH. I like to view it as one step back, two steps forward. Let's keep our eyes ready to hear the good news of a new ATH after this drop.
4132  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Dead assholes on: February 24, 2021, 06:39:14 PM
What's your opinions on mourning assholes who die?

I don't know what exactly you mean by "assholes", but it is normal culture to respect the dead. It is not a must to mourn someone's passing, but you must try as much to not speak ill of them, and disrespect those who are mourning them.

We are all villains in someone's story, that is to say those that you might say are evil are actually the good in someone's story, and to those persons, the so called "Dead Assholes"  deserve a proper mourning.

Amongst other reasons, one of the major reasons why i love this forum, is because it offers an opportunity for one to freely express himself in words without obstruction.

Why do you like this forum? Drop your reason?
4134  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need to change some habbit on: February 24, 2021, 06:14:50 PM
In recent time i have a problem like that my sleeping rate in increasing day by day but unfortunately but work rate become down and become decrease and decrease.

As the day goes by, our workload increases... It is important that you continue to find a way to strike the balance between work and sleep. Sleep is important, but too much sleep is a problem as too much sleep can cause you poverty. Work is good as well, but too much work is a problem. In all you do, you must find the balance.
4135  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed or cigarettes on: February 24, 2021, 06:02:23 PM

In this case I'd say cigarettes are less nocive. Being a drug, weed is worst, damaging your brain cells. Cigarettes are bad as well, damaging your lungs, but I think they harm you less compared with weed. Cigarettes are a social drug (similar to alcohool), an accepted one, while weed is entirelly considered a drug, and it is accepted only in a few parts of the world.

From a biochemical point of view, not to seem like i am trying to justify one from the other, but if you consider the pyrolysis of cigarettes, you will find out that on combustion, one drag of cigarette smoke into the human body, introduces over 60 known carcinogens into the human body.

Would you still like to say cigarette is the better of the two?
4136  Other / Off-topic / Re: Eating expired meats on: February 24, 2021, 05:51:59 PM
The expiry date on products does not necessarily mean that on and after that particular day, the product is completely bad. Experts will tell you that the expiry date on products shows a time frame within which the product is unfit completely for use. So if something expires today, and you can't get another alternative immediately, the one in hand can still be used for a short time say 2 days.
4137  Economy / Economics / Re: Dubai Free Zone Becomes First UAE Government Entity to Accept Bitcoin on: February 24, 2021, 12:41:45 PM

The free zone in Dubai is allowing customers to pay for Dubai trade licenses and visas with bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and the tether (USDT)

Dubai has always been known to be good with creating a favourable environment for business. With a move like this, entrepreneurs, innovators and companies with foresight will be attracted to Dubai.
4138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: February 24, 2021, 05:16:41 AM
In my opinion, for the now, btc or fiat? fiat is more important in society, while fiat is more valuable. Fiat can exist completely without btc, but btc right now cannot exist or be used everywhere without it been converted to cash.
4139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not serving its purpose ANYMORE transfer waiting 48hr even paid high on: February 24, 2021, 05:09:24 AM

I paid a high fee

Like the situation of a friend who borrowed some money from me with the expectation to pay back the next day after he sells out his Ethereum coins in his wallet worth the same amount. It got to the next day, and i was really expectant, only for me to receive a call from him saying that the money did not come out as expected, that after selling and because of the high transaction fee, the money was really short.
4140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whom do you call the Mother of this Child? on: February 23, 2021, 11:30:35 AM
* Would you encourage her to prove she really owns the child even when the world tells her she shouldn't?

If you really spent 9 months carrying a child, you will never let anyone steal the child from you without a fight.

*What method would you recommend she use in proving ownership of the child?
A DNA test should give a clear answer.

* Would you call the thief the mother of the child without knowing the truth or without having convincing proof of who the real mother of the child really is?
I will be patient to get the results from the DNA test.

* What do you think is the right punishment for the thief once the true mother is known?

She should be imprisoned for trying to steal someone's child.
