Just purchased a few of these tokens on Bittrex. I tired the other day but didn't realize that I needed to confirm the withdrawal with my e-mail.

That's what hung me up, too. Smiley

email confirm, ouch ... is that from the DAO guys?

No it's a Bittrex thing.
4122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 13, 2016, 06:21:30 AM

The second picture shows the DAO wallet balance, a huge 5.6 million ether.

I'm looking at the 110 figure below the big 5.6 million figure in my second picture. 300 +110 = 410. But I have no idea what it means.
4123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][slock.it][Crowdfund][DAO] IoT meets blockchain on: May 13, 2016, 05:46:25 AM
I'm totally confused. I only bought 300 DAO with my new mist wallet and see three different figure in 3 different places??

Just purchased a few of these tokens on Bittrex. I tired the other day but didn't realize that I needed to confirm the withdrawal with my e-mail. I know nothing about ETH or smart contracts, so this is going to be quite a steep learning curve for me. Hope this keeps me amused. Smiley

What's up with all the FUD as of late? The coin's doing just fine, why are people panicking? Did I miss something?  Huh

Explain to me why you think it's "doing just fine" when it's pretty near its all time low.

How old are you?
You're acting like a moron.
Few days ago you were here as an investor, so because you needed fiat to buy your peanut butter and had to sell your dcr, now turned into a fudder?
Are you so noob in this market that has never seen the creation of a currency? A new code?
Why you simply will not go away as a man but need to be acting like a mental case?
Have you seen on official forum all people who are involved with the development of decred?
It can be said that most of the best known members of bitcointalk are working on it.
In one year this coin will be with 7 digits and I'll laugh more of you than I am already laughing now.

I'm not dumping this coin because I need fiat for peanut butter. I'm dumping this coin because I despise it's functionality at the present state. This coin is almost as disappointing as when Atari came out with Pac-Man. My parents might as well have put coal in my stocking that Christmas. I tried this coin and find it absolutely unsavory. Perhaps this is the caviar of the altcoin world. However, for me it is just salty, fishy goop.

If only you invested this energy learning something new instead of this FUD - imagine how productive you could be! Wouldn't it be wonderful?
You'd have the CLI mastered by now and you would be multiplying your coins, buying new PoS tickets! But that takes some effort ...

I did master the CLI and bought tickets. In fact, I almost doubled my investment. However, I find working this CLI a real chore. I find it practically archaic. Almost as bad as dealing with UNIX in the early 80s. I have been dumping my coins for almost a month now as my tickets come in. I just have 4 tickets left and unless the official GUI gets released very soon, I'll be out of this coin once my remaining tickets come in. I can't wait to get rid of this unwieldy PITA for good.

yes i feel i will sell most my coins now too Sad

Me too. I'm just waiting for my last 4 tickets to come in. Only thing that may change my mind is if an official, fully functional, GUI wallet for mainnet comes out. Then I may consider holding on to the little that I have left.

I bought these coins at about 290K when it first came on Bittrex, so with all the tickets I staked, I did ROI and then some. I actually think this coin has held up quite well, considering the airdrop, mining and staking. That's a lot of dump pressure.

what is your plan for your coin

right now I am building a series of coins for different miners needs, I started with the sha-256 and will have other soon. I am in the middle of building a linux wallet, blockchain, paper wallet, mac wallet and a a google wallet. each one of my coins will have the same lay out and all the same wallets and features.

I hope to see a lot of ASIC miners on this coin seeing after you mint for 33% and the same with my scrypt. As for the x-11,x-13,x-15 it will be directed for gpu miners.

I will have more soon I am just getting things up and running.

You should have made just one coin, that is multi-algo, rather than a separate block chain for each algo. Good luck with your series.

I also think that we need to be harsher on campaign managers to enforce their rules more strictly and have stricter rules about spam. I think that punishing managers for their campaigners' spammy behavior would be a good incentive to get them to be stricter. Perhaps giving out bans to managers if their campaigners are being spammy and nothing is done about them after they are informed of spammers.

Unfortunately, one of the most notorious signature campaigns, (the one I am currently involved in at the moment,) has the help of a Global Moderator, and it is still heavily abused. Poor guy has to keep playing wack-a-mole and have hundreds of accounts banned from the campaign, and the spammers still crop up like so many weeds.
With my short experience with the current signature campaign, I must admit, the temptation to post absolute crap definitely keeps nagging. Overall, it has been a good experience for me because it has actually made me expand my reading outside of the altcoins announcement forum. I have actually leaned quite a bit. Unfortunately, I think most in the sig campaigns do not actually take much time reading the content of the thread before posting.
4132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best bitcoin online wallet ? = except blockchain.info on: May 08, 2016, 03:30:58 AM
I chose bittrex. in bittrex also serves as an exchange. I think for now the best online wallet is blockchain and bittrex.

I prefer Poloniex myself since I like to lend my BTC to the margin traders for a small interest charge. However, this is more of an act of investment rather than storage, and I feel that I am being compensated fairly for the risk I am taking.

No signature for Newbie?
Quote
#92

I did some research and it is simply not possible to create a signature campaign for newbies. Actually, the Newbie signature allow 50 characters max and no link :-/

That's a good thing. Otherwise, there would be those that would create a bunch of newbie accounts just to duodecuple dip.

maybe bitcoin value will double... after all considered someday will come out ponzicoin too, but until then... that's another story   Cheesy

All that will do is make the difficulty double, triple or more. Look what happened when the value of BTC went from about $240 USD to $400 + USD. I'm afraid that even the value of BTC doubling will only make those new ASICS bought last fall and winter have a profit margin for just a short time longer, unless a miner has free or dirt cheap electricity.

If my ticket has been picked and I get my reward, how is that sent to my wallet?  Does it happen automatically, or is there something I need to do to get my PoS rewards? Thanks!

I happens automatically. However, it usually takes a day before the coins become spendable. If you have your wallet set to purchase tickets automatically, you may never get to spend the bulk of them unless you adjust your settings.

Nice, thanks!  Out of curiosity though, the PoS pool shows me a "Redeem Script".  What is that for?

The redeem script is the private key that you need to import into your local wallet. You do need to do this once before you can redeem any of your rewards, so the answer that I gave you previously, does not totally apply. However, once you import in your wallet, it will be automatic from there.

Any chance you know of a guide that explains the steps/commands to import?  Cheesy

It gives instructions on the staking pool webpage. Click on "ticket instructions" near the bottom. I would assume you have a local command line wallet and daemon running, right?
I must admit, this command line is a chore and I still don't understand it myself. Hope the mainnet GUI comes out really soon. However, all I've read so far basically is "hurry up and wait."  Cheesy

This ICO caught my attention. From my initial investigation, the OP does not appear to be a bought account. (Could be wrong, but I do not see a large gap in the post history.) However, I do have misgivings about two people having control of 51% of the coins. Especially since this will eventually be a POS coin. I don't see a good motivation for both of you to conspire to implement a 51% attack against your own coin, but the fact that you possibly could is disconcerting.

it would be possible to mount a mastermod with ip dynamic , thinking of what riding a return please ?

No, you need an ip that is static for masternode. It does not work with dynamic ip, unless the ip doesn't change too often. I would move on from this coin. I am not even sure the network is viable.
4140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PlatinumBAR XPTX - Rare Cryptocurrency with PoW / PoS on: May 05, 2016, 02:19:21 AM
People really don't need to comment over who's job it is to contact exchanges.

If someone wants XPTX on an exchange right away, make the contact yourself, pay the fees, etc.

I'm in the process of contacting exchanges and it'll happen when it happens.

+1000 it will be on poloniex soon Smiley

Unfortunately, this coin does not have the innovated features and/or the widespread community that Poloniex requires to be listed. Maybe, much later. But not now since this is just a clone coin in it's current state.
