4121  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Dominance Update on: May 10, 2021, 03:52:21 AM
I disagree. This should raise more questions because this might only be the beginning. What would stop Tesla or Ark Invest from testing the liquidity again on the 2nd quarter to make certain that they can exit their positions? We should be skeptical of this.
Considering the fact that the drop below $60k had nothing to do with Tesla at all, any future sales from them is not going to change anything about bitcoin price either.

Also, it appears that everyone is only looking at the outflows of bitcoin from Coinbase but ignore the inflows to Binance for possible dumping.

https://www.viewbase.com/coin/bitcoin
There is no such thing as "inflow" or "outflow" of coins from exchanges because the bitcoin transactions have no "intention" field inside them telling us where the coin comes from or where it goes to and more importantly why.
Not to mention the coins that are claimed to go to an exchange may not even go there since blockchain analysis is pretty weak. And those that are associated with going to exchange may be the exchange itself moving its coins around to and from cold storage.

However, what dumps the price if it is not whales dumping on the market? Also, I was only speculating if these liquidity tests from Tesla might be tested again. Is this not possible?

It can be then argued that those outflows are not real outflows, only coins of exchanges from hot wallets to cold storage?
4122  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-05-08] Bitcoin’s dirty little secret: It’s not easy being green on: May 10, 2021, 02:29:25 AM
If we change the energy source for electricity then we can probably shift the energy consumption narrative that has been plaguing bitcoin. The problem that we are currently facing is that it's not that difficult how to go green but the fact that companies that won't benefit from going green is stopping it from happening.

However, a serious change in the energy sources needs billions in costs, a sacrfice of billions in profit and also a shift on who becomes the leader in this industry. This problem has been plaguing the world before bitcoin. Elon Musk has said in one interview that if given the choice to shutdown fossil fuel power stations, he would say no because it would kill industries in the world economy.

If government and big companies wanted this problem to be solved, this certainly would have been solved already.
4123  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-05-05 CNBC - Bitcoin is coming to hundreds of U.S. banks this year on: May 10, 2021, 01:56:18 AM
However, never trust mainstream media news. Beginning of the bear market, news will be very negative again.

What does trust in the media have to do in this particular case? These are solid facts, the media didn't invent a story about the connection between crypto and banks, did they?

I see that you are still in the constant belief that the bear market will come soon, but there is a possibility that the past will not repeat itself as some expect. Yes, I know we need to prepare for some new crypto winter - but personally I don’t like to think of winter when summer is just knocking on my door.

Yes they are solid facts, however, there are also banks that prohibit their users from using their accounts from buying or selling bitcoin and other cryptocoins. Where is this storyline during this bull market? I was only telling everyone that mainstream news media will try to control the storyline depending on sentiment and what gives the clicks.

Breaking: China's state-owned bank, CITIC Bank, announced that in order to maintain the legal currency status of the RMB and prevent money laundering risks, institutions and individuals are prohibited from using this bank account to purchase and trade Bitcoin and Litecoin, etc.

I never said the bear market will come soon. I said we should be realists, assume that the bear will pounce unexpectedly and we should be ready.

This is very positive news for the bitcoin maximalists. However, never trust mainstream media news. Beginning of the bear market, news will be very negative again. Everything about them is clickbait and what the readers want to read and hear.
4126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Grin | PoW Mining | Electronic transactions for all. Community driven. on: May 09, 2021, 05:08:50 AM
Couldn't resist. Went mid-heavy on this today. I am again in my gambling mood after a very long break. This is one of the cheapest shitcoins after everything mooned lately. Its turn will come.

$64m marketcap, ranking  #533 at CMC, backed by Theymos/BTT. Easy buy. Expected returns = x100

The biggest problem of GRIN is that it is only listed on Kucoin. (I don't consider the others legit exhanges) If this was on Binance it would have been a multi-billion marketcap coin already but you know, things may change quickly in this space. And it is a lot better to buy before it happens.

Now let's repeat:

"There are only 73 million GRINS out there. If every dollar millionaire wanted to have 10 grins, they couldn't have it."

Grin is very worth the buy in these very low price levels. The monetary policy alone will show that its distribution is the correct way to become a real digital currency for the internet. I have been telling everyone this, however, many do not want to understand. They will see in 4 years.
4127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: May 08, 2021, 03:56:18 AM
@Dave1. Agreed. Pacman earned $10 million in his fight versus Keith Thruman. This fight will certainly be another easily earned $10 million or more for Pacman. Mikey Garcia is a bigger boxing star than Thurman, I reckon.

I reckon some research and development on Asic resistance must be given some support. I reckon we can learn from Monero’s RandomX deployment.

Tromp's Cuckoo Cycle Cuckatoo31+ is ASIC-friendly and was a design decision.

Yes I am aware of this. I was also a supporter of Aeon’s change to an Asic friendly mining algorithm and agreed for the arguments for it. However, witnessing bitcoin’s hashrate drop after the coal mine explosion in a province in China and the threats of government on miners, it appears to me that Asic resitance research is very much needed for the future of the cryptospace.

Do you speculate that RandomX will also have Asic miners?
4129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: May 08, 2021, 02:37:16 AM
I'm a fan od pacquaio but for stating his ambitioun I'm so dismay about what he think right now.

We have the same take, politics is not for him, he only won because of his popularity but in terms of knowledge, for me, he is not yet qualified, he needs to learn more. What he promises is to destroy the corruption, I guess Presidency has more to tackle, not only that, and I am not confident in his capacity.

He said in an interview, if he is anointed by God, he will become the President, it could be true, but being a religious person and into politics handling the Philippines with different religions, I guess he might have a problem with how he will balance it.

I like Pacman, however, being a religious person and being in politics in the same time is a clue that someone is a trickster. You reckon he is a clean politician?

I any case, Mikey Garcia is the perfect opponent for Pacman in his older age. They are both the same size and Mikey is not on a similar level of Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford.
4130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 08, 2021, 01:55:20 AM
@OgNasty. Can Floyd be charged of assault?

I would think it’s certainly possible. I’d have to look at state laws and stuff as to whether he could be charged without Jake pressing charges, but I would think there’s probably some investigations going on by the local police. Given that Jake has some fairly serious injuries, it wouldn’t be crazy to think Mayweather is going to have to cough up a couple bucks under the table.

There were also death threats made according to some news articles. It appears the Paul brothers can use this to assure a fight organized with Jake and a rematch with Logan or assault charges will be charged hehehe. They won the lottery heheehe!
4131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 07, 2021, 04:58:18 AM
@YuginKadoya. Agreed! The karate hottie Michelle Waterson has more experience in fights with 5 rounds. I predict Marina Rodriguez to be tired beginning round 4.

It also appears everyone is forgetting that this is an Amanda Ribas fight week. Where is @mich hehe.

4132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 07, 2021, 04:13:41 AM
Agreed. This is not staged. Conor had world tours with Floyd and Conor never made Floyd uncontrolled reactions during the tours. Jake Paul only had minutes in front of Floyd and Jake made Floyd chase him angrily with a simple act of getting his hat from his head hehehe.

@OgNasty. Can Floyd be charged of assault?
4133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 07, 2021, 01:46:22 AM
Is this fight confirmed? Jake Paul has created much hype for this only from the hat incident that would make Conor McGregor appear like an amatuer hypemaker hehehe. This fight must be organized now. The pay per view revenue will be more sizeable than many other fighting events.
4134  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-04-28 - Nexon Co. Ltd. buys $100,000,000 in Bitcoin on: May 07, 2021, 12:39:06 AM
Yet another big player enters the Bitcoin Space by literally dipping its toe into the Bitcoin Ocean
with 2% of their cash reserves. It also shows they were not afraid to buy at $58226.

2% on cash reserve might be small but its understandable that these are just for the sake of testing out waters but anything or any news that connects out with recognition will be always good.

So Nexon does have 5B in terms of cash reserves as mentioned that they had put up only 2%. What if they would be putting up even more in near future?

Just like on what Tesla had done recently and this would really be an eye opener for other companies which are still hesitating or still in hindrance on diving in with the bitcoin market.

They are still observing we know but sooner or later they would really loose off and join on the bandwagon.

2% from their cash reserve is the right amount considering bitcoin’s volatility and also consider that the price presently might be on a bubble waiting to burst. 2% is a safe investment.

Also, I remember there was an article that Nexon bought Bitstamp exchange.
4135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: May 06, 2021, 09:58:23 AM
Nominees are voted by other directors who are members of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science. Those members might not have liked Peter Farrelly that year because he is known for his comedies like There’s something about the Mary and The Heartbreak Kid which are vulgar with distasteful jokes.
Yep, just wanted to write that directors are those who decide who will get nomination, and they obviously weren't impressed with Farrely and his work on Green Book. When it comes to award itself then everyone votes for every category.

They were impressed with his work in Green Book, it won the best picture and best original screenplay categories for that year, however, the director’s guild in the academy did not want to give the honor of best director to the personality sitting on the director’s chair hehehe.
4136  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-19] Why Crypto Stocks Plunged Today on: May 06, 2021, 08:30:51 AM
@Kakmakr. I speculate all of these supposed crypto stocks will have a difficult time holding on to their value and might also be more volatile because they attract certain type of investors that are similar to the investors attracted to the cryptospace. The Warren Buffett value investors will avoid these type of stocks like COIN.
4137  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-21] Governments can stop Bitcoin by shutting down mining, says Electric on: May 06, 2021, 07:16:00 AM
~
However, what is bitcoin doing to help the economy and how would taxing bitcoin miners affect it? It is arguable that the bitcoin and cryptospace markets are helping the real economy because these coins and tokens are used predominantly as speculative investments.

I think even if they, BTC and other cryptos, are purely speculative investments(I personally don't think so, but let's imagine this is the case), they are still helping the real economy because when people have more things to spend their money on, it's good for the economy in general. CMIIW.

That is hardly a good argument because those more things being spent on are not producing any goods for society. It is also not used as a medium for payments. It is only commonly used as something similar to casino chips for gambling on other something similar to casino chips.
4138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Football clubs and bitcoins on: May 06, 2021, 06:30:35 AM
What's the point of football clubs paying their players with Bitcoins?Do the clubs get any benefit from that?
I don't see any benefit from such move.It would be way better for the football clubs to just buy lots of BTC and HODL them. Many football clubs have problems with debt,so having an asset that gets more valuable in the long term is a way to make more money and payoff their debts.
If the football players want to adopt Bitcoin, they could just buy BTC with their fiat salaries.

Your suggestion for football clubs that have problems with debt is to gamble on bitcoin and hope that the price will pump hehehe. That is not a very good tactic for the CEO to keep his job, I reckon hehe.

@Alucard1. What they should be informed about is the volatility. Their salary can be -10% in 1 day after receipt hehehe.
4139  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Dominance Update on: May 05, 2021, 04:36:00 AM
Tesla selling bitcoin is old news. It was originally bearish however given that they only sold 10%, people considered it pretty bullish. They sold for 2 reasons. One was to test liquidity to make sure they can exit the entire position without moving the market and the rest was they needed the cash for something else, hence why they sold some of it.

Its not bad to take profits from time to time so its understandable what they did. You all should take profits even if its just 10%. Sure it might rally from here however if it topped $65K at least you don't want to be holding the bag for years without taking any profits along the way.

I disagree. This should raise more questions because this might only be the beginning. What would stop Tesla or Ark Invest from testing the liquidity again on the 2nd quarter to make certain that they can exit their positions? We should be skeptical of this.

Also, it appears that everyone is only looking at the outflows of bitcoin from Coinbase but ignore the inflows to Binance for possible dumping.

@Juggy777. I would call that larping, however, presently witnessing that dogecoin is going to $1.00, I believe him hehehe. This is a crazy cryptospace market we have here. All fundamental analysis is thrown in exchange for the pump.
