4121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing : Reymart Gaballo vs Emmanuel Rodriguez on December 19th on: December 15, 2020, 01:33:31 PM
More information about the fight.

Rodriguez vs Gaballo Menu

Just click the picture so it will zoom out the data written. As you can see in the picture, Gaballo's picture was not attach, this means he is not a known boxer, and there's only one meaning of this, he will be the underdog of this fight.

If that is the case then it really makes Gaballo very dangerous to Rodriguez because he is unknown. There could be video of him around, but still not enough for Rodriguez and his team to scout and prepare.

Remember Any Ruiz, I would say that he is no name that time but was given the opportunity and he grab it to upset Anthony Joshua. So we might see something similar here and it's possible to score an upset. And if you look at his record, he is a knock out artist as well.
4122  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Oyster Pearl “Bruno Block” Charged With Multimillion-Dollar Tax Evasion by DOJ on: December 15, 2020, 12:27:13 PM
The whole part of the forum that deals with altcoins/tokens is in a gray zone, and I have to admit that I don't feel very well when I know that this forum is used for almost criminal activities without any sanctions.

And still is up to this day, but the heyday that was 2017 was a very different back then and I would say that the community was really immature that time and that's why this scammers ran rampant here, and I'm not really sure if we have statistics today to see how many have used this forum to promote this scams (ICO, IEO and this whole Defi that we have today).

Yeah, I'm also not comfortable seeing this community being taken advantage by this criminals and they can get away with it. (I myself was a victim of 2 ICO's back then in 2018).
4123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Whyte vs Povetkin II on Jan 30, 2021 on: December 14, 2020, 11:45:44 PM

https://www.boxingscene.com/povetkin-still-recovering-from-covid-not-face-whyte-january--154044

Sad news for people who anticipated this fight to happen in January as what the title of the article says that Povetkin could not face Whyte on January as the former is still recovering from COVID-19. His case must be severe as it takes a long time for him to recover and the virus could have damaged some of his organs.

I think it is better for this fight to be postpone to the middle next year to give time to Povetkin to fully recover as to not give doubts if Whyte will win. Coivd-19 is a serious disease that damages our lungs that might affect the performance of an athlete like Povetkin.

Yes, this should be postpone on a later date as it seems that Povetkin will not fully recover and meet the Jan 30 fight as he has to train hard again. But if his body is not willing to response because of the ill effects of covid-19 then obviously his performance will be affected and he will not be 100%

We even don't know if Povetkin is really 100% recovered even if he is cleared to fight as there are other effects that we might not notice or even he himself will not feel it until after the fight when his body and mind are sort of not cooperating.

This supposedly trading platform from coingecko has everything a fake site it. First there is no coingecko trading or exchanges that I'm aware of. Second, it was just created 24 days ago and obviously, using the logo of coingecko as well.

So please be careful not to be fooled by this website, just because it has the coingecko logo and name does it mean it is trusted.
4125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing Bitcoin Ads : Mass adoption ongoing on: December 14, 2020, 10:51:29 PM
There's also this ad in Hongkong:

https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-tram-ad-campaign-billboards-hong-kong/

Quote
The Bitcoin Association of Hong Kong announced Friday the start of a massive bitcoin awareness initiative called the Bitcoin Tram campaign. Various ads are scheduled to run between Sept. 11 and Oct. 8. During that time, three doubledecker bitcoin trams of various lines will cruise the east and west tracks on Hong Kong Island, each plastered with the Bitcoin logo.

So we have seen this ads across the globe and bring people's awareness about bitcoin.

And mainstream  media is already covering bitcoin as well like Al-Jazeera: https://www.aljazeera.com/economy/2020/11/17/bb-bitcoin-is-back-and-it-just-soared-past-17000

As far as breaking $20k though, it's imminent, just a matter of time, but we might see it happening next year though, unless there is a big push at the end of the year to close it to a new all time high.
4126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Campaign With Coolest ETH Rewards in 2020 on: December 14, 2020, 10:24:10 PM
Yeah, the problem is that he/she didn't link the bounty project here. So I have my doubts here, specially giving out 71 ETH? You just show us the wallet address here, you can just get any wallet address out there and claim that it came from a certain project.

So just to be clear here, I have my skeptics until this is proven. You'll just putting some hype here, specially those newbies who join bounties after bounties. Maybe you are giving them false hope, just saying.
4127  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price increasing slowly. on: December 14, 2020, 01:07:02 PM
Yeah, mostly weekends where traders have all their free time to exchange.
Since yesterday night until now, it had been calm at $19k - $19.3k.
I'm kind of feeling pessimistic with $20k this year then another fall in January just like what happened last week.
No buyers in holidays. Most people will be spending more and might even exchange BTC for fiat to add to the shopping spree that will happen.  Grin
The market won't react that fast so it will reflect 2021.

I believed otherwise though, in the last 3 years, there are buyers in December, maybe those who received their Christmas bonus are putting side money to invest in crypto. Although for average joe, the price is very expensive compare to the last 3 years. But still if they are going to look for the long term then it is a good investment for them in Christmas.

And another thing is that maybe bitcoin could be consider as give today, so we might see a new set of buyers and getting into bitcoin as a gift or presents to families and friends this holiday.
4128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 13, 2020, 02:43:35 PM
On the contrary, there are people in 2017, who quit their day job to focus solely on bitcoin and crypto trading. Unfortunately, we entered a bearish market in 2018-2019 so I really don't know what happen to those individual if they were able to survived the bear market and make money to bring food to the today.

Perhaps you and the rest of newbies you enter the market wherein we are in the bullish trend and you make some decent money even after you lost your job. But let me remind you that there could be worst cases, like I mentioned so you have to take that into consideration. You might want to save for the future if you can.

As the saying goes though, "Be your own Bank" (BYOB) and that's what you are getting into right now. Best of luck in your journey.
4129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ]: Boxing - Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev - JOSHUA WINS IN ROUND 9 on: December 13, 2020, 01:09:24 PM
Let us not forget it took Joshua 9 rounds to defeat Pulev and he managed to knock him out in the final few seconds of that round. If Pulev managed to stand up the referee would have allowed the fight to continue which means at very earliest Joshua could have won was the 10th.

On current form he would struggle against Wilder and have no chance against Fury.

We see it the same way, Joshua seems soft compared to the two boxers, a Joshua vs Wilder would be very exciting, but of course since he is a champion, he needs to fight a champion as well and that is Fury, now, if these two will fight soon, it would be interesting to know the betting odds as I'll certainly bet on Fury early.

I will reckon that Fury might have a @1.40 odds in the beginning if ever a Fury vs Joshua will happen in the future.

Does anyone really think that Pulev has a chance against Joshua here? It's good that there some trash talking during the weigh in, but if you look at the odds, Joshua is clearly the favourite and he did what he needed to do by knocking out Pulev with good uppercut and finished him with the right hand.

Now that Joshua wins, Fury and Joshua needs to settle things as to who is the best Heavyweight right now.

Dear Sir, Madam,

Thank you for the notification.

We have informed the reseller about your complaint and he will investigate this issue. If we do not receive any update from them, we will suspend the domain after 2020-12-17 12:23:09 CET and it will stop working.

Please, check this article about abuse procedure in order to know more about the responsibilities of the registrar: https://support.openprovider.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360001725008-Reporting-abuse.

Have a nice day.
Kind regards,
Abuse Team

Max day that we will see the site suspended is on December 17. So I do hope that from this time and up to December 17, no one will fall for this trap.

Why it took too long to make the decision though, it's pretty obvious that this is a phishing and malicious site. Although they have their processes here, I respect that, but they should make this a priority, a 3 day window is already long in my opinion (after you file the case).

Anyhow, both of the sites are still active at this point. Again, it's good that you have posted it here so that everyone should be aware of it and I also found your post in their official ANN thread so they may also something on their side to bring this site down.
4131  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Fake Ripple website on: December 13, 2020, 11:40:17 AM
^^ Thanks, yeah I do agree, websites asking for your 12 or 24 seed mnemonic phrase is a no-no. So I don't know why many are still falling for this kind of trick.

There are a lot of phishing sites right now, and there is spike using Ripple as the front because we all know that they have a fork (already completed by this time) and getting airdrop Spark token. So this is a clear warning specially for newbies to be very careful of this dangerous and malicious sites.
4132  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] ⭐🚀 as.exchange ⭐🚀 Innovative Derivatives Exchange ⭐🚀 on: December 13, 2020, 10:59:16 AM
And it's good that you have filled a patent (still pending) so that at least if someone wants to used it, they have to get your permission, or if other exchanges implemented it without your knowledge then there is patent infringement that can be filed against that exchange.

You are absolutely correct Smiley That's the reason we launched just recently, as before that we were preparing thoroughly the patent application. Unfortunately, as you know most of the current crypto-exchanges are very hostile to newcomers, and operate in unfair and dishonest manner.

I agree, this is a hostile environment, cut throat business, other practices frauds just to be on top of the game and be relevant, while there are exchanges that can't really compete at a high level and eventually die down.

Therefore, we do our best to assure our interests and compliance, but more importantly - our users' interest and benefits. That's #1 priority for as.exchange.

I guess if you really set your goals and bring and help average joe traders to get the most benefit here, you can survived here. There could be a lot of challenges and bumps ahead, but this is part of business processes that one have to experience and undergo in order to be successful in the future. Best of luck.
4133  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Beware] Fake Blockchain wallet on Google Play stealing people's money. on: December 12, 2020, 11:46:56 AM
Yes,
This has been the isuues to some people who sometimes complain about missing coins
So if you want to get a crypto wallet read the previews about the wallet or you can actually seek for advice from others who has been in the field.

No offense, but it just shows how beginner you are in the world of crypto. Experience crypto users don't really on previous reviews because it could be fake and paid reviews coming from the criminals themselves. The best weapon here so as not to get trick is to really educate yourself and not to download apps in Google Play store because they are not that strict on how to create and setup an app on their store.

In other news, 4 Congressman, Warren Davidson, Tom Emmer, Ted Budd, and Scott Perry has urge Steven Mnuchin to stop this rumours for good.

So I guess we have some ally in the Congress and ask Mnuchin to re-evaluate before going into public.

4135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we all not have our own bitcoin? on: December 12, 2020, 09:04:46 AM
I think everyone in the world should make a coin with the same supply.
Your thinking is very strange, if everyone has their own coins, then, who buys, each one already has it.

From where these kinds of ideas and come to your mind, I hope you are well, not in brainwashing.

If everyone chooses a mind like you, this world will experience an unbalanced tilt, there will be no more poor people in this world, everyone already has their own product to use.

I have the same thoughts, why and where in the hell the OP get this idea, really absurd really to the boundary that it gives me a good chuckle.

Anyhow, it's not going to work this is not how money works in the first place. There are a lot of crypto's already that we can used as money, so it doesn't make sense at all.

Thanks for the video, just watch the first half of it and some of the terms are really new to me so I can't comment as this point.  Smiley I just probably shoot later as I slowly digest TVS.

And it's good that you have filled a patent (still pending) so that at least if someone wants to used it, they have to get your permission, or if other exchanges implemented it without your knowledge then there is patent infringement that can be filed against that exchange.

Very clever trick, so just be careful and double check the Ripple website.

It is obvious what the real intention here, and since Ripple will have it's fork tomorrow, scammers are working very hard as well to register ripple names to carry their exploits.
4138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: there is so many announcements about instutuional investment in btc but question on: December 11, 2020, 01:06:09 PM
It's either we believed these kind of statement from company or not. We can't really proved or disapproved. But it's not that important I guess, still a win-win for bitcoin whichever way we look at it.

And the only one that they are going to fool here is not the crypto market, but the company themselves if they chooses to release such fake news in order to make the public believed that they have throw this x amount of millions to bitcoin market.
4139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Awards 2020 Edition on: December 11, 2020, 03:49:02 AM
Lopez for fighter of the year, it was his break out year with that huge huge win against the invincible Loma.

Knock out of the year goes to Povetkin, I mean it was out of the blue, then suddenly he hits that perfect upper cut and knock out Whyte out cold. There is a rematch, but we will have to wait and see how it goes for Povetkin to recover from the effects of Covid-19.

Fight of the year I would say Fury vs Wilder rematch, too much at stake. And Fury proved that he is the better fighter and that he should really won the first fight.
4140  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] ⭐🚀 as.exchange ⭐🚀 Innovative Derivatives Exchange ⭐🚀 on: December 11, 2020, 03:04:54 AM
So it's not only that it ends in ".exchange"... I didn't even know that's possible. But you only got two letters before the dot. How much does such a domain cost?

Maybe you can have an idea here:

https://www.name.com/domains/exchange

First time though to hear Tranched Value Securities and I think this is innovative as this offering is a win-win situation for traders and the exchange itself. For sure, if this becomes successful in the future, other exchanges might implement this in there core and offer it to their users as well.
