4121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DEX : what features you want in it on: September 28, 2020, 05:43:37 AM
DEX no need to add more feature .If you add more feature on that the identity will be exposed and DEX will loose its characteristics .So it think it will be easy to use nothing more need to add.
That is fine, I would also agree to a minimalist design but with features that are essential. But you have to understand that as a project becomes more and more popular, the number of people using it also increases. This leads to a bunch of users who dont follow this idea and want more and more features. That is a problem that every developer group faces at one time or another. It is like a bad effect of being popular/over-achiever - people just keep wanting for more.

Few things on a DEX are always good like what I already said, direct BTC conversions which is not an easy thing for devs to put in. I also detest the anonymity of the teams running the project in case of a DEX but I guess that is a part of being a DEX or not being a CEX.
4122  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Helioswap plagiarized whitepaper! on: September 28, 2020, 05:39:45 AM
this is very serious, as far as i could see there is no way that the creator of this project removed some parts to serve as inspiration, he practically took everything from the other project and pasted it on his project. that is, there is nothing new and valuable in his project.
You would think they would care to evade detection software but no, these scammers are so eager to scam and steal money that they act like junkies and copy paste everything from any project that they know of. Cheesy

Of course a person coming new to this scheme without any knowledge of how crypto-based scams are done will fall for it and lose their money. They are essentially the group whom these scams target and so the flag is important, which obviously I supported and left some red paint yesterday. FlagNTag! Cool
4123  Economy / Economics / Re: DeFi vs. CeFi? on: September 28, 2020, 05:35:31 AM
I think I agree, it has not been seen what has been made by Defi and only news that seems very enthusiastic and jarring when the situation is indeed worsening.
Just plain talk and promotion of anonmynous stablecoin pools and lending pools. Does that really help? Nope. What they are doing is milking this hype and attempting to prolong the bubble long enough to get money from a lot of investors. Back on the ground level, crypto is a niche sector. Not ventured by bigger whales of the traditional markets. You cant expect a new project to become huge here without a real use case.

Quote
but can we guarantee that it will be good from other systems and this needs very clear proof and not only he said. because all this time all systems are always good in the beginning, finally back to what is usually experienced.
Nope, it is all vaporware if you ask me. Someone might refute that I am too narrow visioned but I have seen bitcoin a few years from its inception and altcoins when they started. Ask me, these are bubbles that tried to follow the price rise of bitcoin nothing more than that and this one is same. CeFi and DeFi are made up terms. Focus on bitcoin if you really care about your money in this sector.
4124  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YFIR.finance bounty scam on: September 27, 2020, 05:56:54 AM
Why can't BTT manage every bounties before they posting, by escrowing the tokens they promise for hunters or anything similar like that inorder to save the bounty hunter from the early scammers
LOL you new to this forum it seems even after owning your account since 2018.

Sure the manager can ask the team to escrow the tokens. But then they will get a reply that they will hire someone else. So the manager also has nothing to do, someone will get the job, maybe not the legit manager but some low-income country manager who does not really care about what they promote.

This problem is very much prevalent in this forum. That is why the FlagNTag system are here to mark them as scammers/potentially risky and thus prevent someone from getting scammed. Trust is not moderated because that would introduce bias, so forum administration does not have anything to do with it.

Word of advice: Stop doing bounties. 99% of them are waste of time or scams.
4125  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How do i get back bitcoins sent? on: September 27, 2020, 05:51:21 AM
Why do you all have to go with shady weed sites and end up losing your money? Get off that shit, I know you are not using it for medicinal purpose but for getting high. But you understand the fact that because bitcoin transactions are irreversible, unless the person who got the money actually returns it back, scammers use this to lure people into sending them money and stealing it.

It is plain and simple method to drain your money. You want to buy that shit and so you will not think twice before sending the money. Its a trap made to scam noobs just like the OP.

Anyway dont want to sound rude to someone who does not know much about crypto. But get this in your head, bitcoin and most altcoins transactions are irreversible. Once sent, its gone.
4126  Economy / Reputation / Re: JollyGood: I just made Legendary rank ! on: September 26, 2020, 03:17:37 PM
Congrats Jolly, I reached Legendary yesterday and today I see you reach Legendary. I guess that makes it special. Grin

Keep up the scam busting operations like you have done since a long time and take your time going through scam reports before doing the FlagNTag. The sound of the troll is just an indicator that you are doing a work that is having an impact and thus should boost you to do it more often.

BTW I moved by thread to Reputation, as per the mod's advice. Cool
4127  Local / Marketplace (India) / Re: Selling ASIC miners in bulk on: September 26, 2020, 05:52:26 AM

Maybe you can start by showing us some pictures of the devices that you have for sale. Without any pictures the buyer will never know what they are getting and if that device really belonged to your farm or not.

And no stock pictures please. We all know how to get those.
4128  Economy / Economics / Re: DeFi vs. CeFi? on: September 26, 2020, 05:47:56 AM
At first there were only CeFi, what difference do they have with fiat based institutions anyway? Seem like a synonym for me minus the technicalities. They are financial companies and they are centralized. So 1+1 is 2 here.

DeFi was here before even knew it, projects like BitRefill were the pioneer of DeFi though some DeFibois will refute that I am wrong about it. Point is that these projects have been less known when the ICO trend was going up. The bad thing is that this sudden hype about DeFi in terms of stablecoins, lending pools and staking pools is bad for the investors. It is a bubble and the real DeFi projects never boomed that much.

I think it is way too early to call mixing of DeFi and CeFi. Lets see how legit these DeFi tokens end up to be first.
4129  Economy / Reputation / [Achivement] Finally I reached the Legendary rank! on: September 25, 2020, 11:50:51 AM
Dear forum members hope you are all doing well.

My thread of reaching self-made Senior member was back in October 24, 2019 posted her - [Achivement]Finally I am a self-made senior member! At that time I had earned a total of 250merits.

Approximately 11months after that I have earned a total of 500merits and since airdropped merits was already 500 when Merit system was introduced, I am now finally a forum Legendary ranked user.

How I want to put this is that, it feels good to reach this next achievement but I would also thank each and every one of the users who took their time to read my posts and merit them, even if only once.

Here are the merit stats as per BPIP:
https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=TheUltraElite
Thanks to each and everyone for this achievement and specially to LoyceV and Coolcryptovator for bumping up my last hurdle of 34merits today  Each and everyone is special to me so I wont take any more names, lest they feel bad.) Smiley

Just like my last achievement thread, I will point out two more things in this regard to allow you all to remain hopeful to reaching higher ranks.

These are additional points, if you are lower ranked member here eager to earn your first merit, take a look at my older achievement thread, linked above and these points as well:

1. There will be dry days and dry week, (heck dry months too if you are unlucky)- dont let them despair you. Some months have been very generous with the amount of merit earned per month while some have been horrible. Its a continuous process.

2. Reiterate this (very important): "Dont chase after merits. Let them come to you" - JC

I actually got a bit emotional writing this, but yeah lets be hopeful and mark the next challenge which would be to reach 1.5k merits. Slowly but steadily. Wink

Thanks for reading till the end, take care and most importantly make sure to have fun while in the forum.
4130  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: September 25, 2020, 11:30:15 AM
I've Merited and re-Merited some of TheUltraElite's posts. It's not my best selection, but from what I've seen he deserves to Rank up and I don't have time to read hundreds of posts now.

/just Merit source things Smiley
I hope I didnt make your job difficult there. Some of the posts were more than 1 year old. So thanks for searching them out.

Thanks for the bump up to Legendary. I will make a thread on it very soon in Meta Reputation too.  Tongue
4131  Other / Meta / Re: Why do everything security related gets posted in 'Beginners and guides'? on: September 25, 2020, 05:24:02 AM
Sure newbies are the target, problem is we never consider the fact that newbies who actually join the forum for discussing or developing a good rapport with other members are few only they are going to visit that section. 99% of them are new alts made to join the bounty spamming cesspool.

They are the ones who become careless and get phished more often than those who are careful about these things. Moreover a person who attempts to spam bounties all day to get paid is very likely coming from a lower income country, so they are more likely to carry an infected/malware-filled device, because of the habit of pirating OS, downloading shady emails and so on.

Still we always make people aware about things, never check if it reached the actual population who needed it. Smiley
4132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market Price on: September 25, 2020, 05:12:53 AM
On Binance, on trading page, if I buy alcoin using market price, will I get my altcoins right away like when I buy using card?
Buying at market price means you are agreeing to buy the asset at the price the market is currently settled at. This price changes every second and thus if you are in a hurry to buy because it suddenly dropped a lot crossing your buying point this would be choice.

Comparing to Limit orders, you use the money to start a limit order where the price will be of your choice and the order will remain active till cancelled. The Limit order become a Market order as soon as the target price is reached and is executed then as a Market order.

Quote
Or will still have to wait for certain trader to respond to me?
No, its called order matching. You dont have to worry about that, the exchange will do that for you. Just like you are trying to buy the asset, someone on that exchange is trying to sell it. So when the orders match either partially or fully they will be executed or if not, the program will wait.

Quote
I never bought anything thru trading. I have no experience buying from Binance trading.
I suggest you learn what is trading first before asking the questions.
4133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What the future holds for bitcoin on: September 25, 2020, 05:07:59 AM
BTC is gradually gaining its grounds in the financial institute.
Which "financial institute" you talk about? It is wrong to consider any one so I believe you are referring to big banks in general. In that case, you are wrong. It has only hustled into the game till now.

Quote
Most people prefer using bitcoin as a medium of exchange.
Wrong. Fiat is way more in usage than bitcoin. What is the source of support for your statements? I have the counter argument statements though which were posted in this forum too.

Quote
Before the advent of bitcoin local and foreign currencies were the only means of financial transactions. Currently BTC has gone beyond bothers and has also made transactions safer and faster without much stress of converting from one currency to another.
Bitcoin is not just safe transactions. It is about the resistance to censorship and its decentralized concept that make it advantageous for common people to use without having to go through a middleman. Even then fiat is the bigger whale in the game. Bitcoin's usage is still in the single digit percentage.

Quote
From my own opinion its a better way of accumulating wealth and secure a perfect future of cashless policy
That type of thinking will only lead to frustration because comparing the time for which you live, probably bitcoin will not boom within it but take much longer. Hence it is better you buy and sell, keep the cycle going instead of stubbornly holding.
4134  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Streamies - Plagiarized Whitepaper on: September 24, 2020, 06:30:57 PM
This is become a common excuse by project "owners". They say they hired someone and someone whose even identity they cannot reveal. No idea if that user is even owning an account in this forum for cross checking. Of course I am not expecting that, but we cannot allow this excuse to be the reason to not FlagNTag. Wink

Copied whitepaper = 100% scam whatever be the excuse behind it.

OP, where is the flag? I will tag the account for now but we need the flag too. I will support it when I login tomorrow again.

BTW guys and gals, FlagNTag is the new thing in the forum. mmkay? Grin
4135  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please check this project. (Swaphub) on: September 24, 2020, 06:46:19 AM
Very likely another of the "yield farming" DeFi tokens. Now this does not mean that the project is a scam. But this trend is currently hyped and many anonymous users are creating them and getting social media channels to get people to buy their tokens and take part in this "passive income" system.

The point is that the passive income has always been a gimmick since the ICO days when shitcoin used to be made promising 1% per day worth of income but that coin ended up being dumped heavily and then abandoned.

What I mean to say is that they may not directly scam you, but snowball the project long enough for them to make money and you to suffer holding their token.

If you took part in their bounty, I would suggest you to stop doing so. Move on from bounty hunting and take part in this forum's discussions, earn some merits on the way and join a decent paying signature campaign if you wish to.
4136  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Xfinance (DeFi) - Heavily Plagiarized Website on: September 24, 2020, 06:39:03 AM
Right now I am not tagging them nor supporting the flag.
Which flag?

The point is that these names of the domains are pretty similar and we are lacking information to confirm but suggest the fact that there are very well run by the same scammers.

While we are finding SiteNo1>copied to SiteNo2>copied to SiteNo3 - What we did is flagNTag SiteNo2 for copying from SiteNo1. But SiteNo1 is already a scam so that does not make it legitimate at all.

In other words, these sites are all scams. No idea where they got the original template from, but basing on the fact that neither ICOs nor DeFi tokens are legal securities, we can flagNtag all of them.
4137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Visa Cards Are Now Available in Europe on: September 24, 2020, 06:32:43 AM
Even though we seem to agree on the fact that these cards are only made to pump the price of BNB which has been sepculated to be a pump and dump a long time ago when it reached the two digit price range and continued upward, still people will use it and attempt to gather the rewards and use them. Just like people use a bank credit/debit card in any other country.

Bigger holders of BNB get bigger rewards. So the point is simple, just buy more and keep getting more, overconsumption to allow the owners to make more money. Cheesy
4138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some thoughts on cryptocurrency loans on: September 24, 2020, 06:25:46 AM
You seem to be quite close with Changelly btw.
OP seems to be an offtopic spammer for a long time and recently moved in the ontopic discussions. It could be a shill account which is 99% of the cases here and posting a thread only to never look back at it.

DeFi may have initiated a new hype but the concept of crypto lending is not new. In fact the first few waves of ICOs did have a bunch of Ethereum tokens that were associated with altcoin-pledging and using it as collateral for a bitcoin loan. Much like the services provided by the Sharks in the "Lending" section of this forum.

However tokens like SALT came to a stalemate(?), Nexo worked out it seems and partnered with many other sites like CMC and etherscan.

There is an analogy with fiat loans where you pledge a valuable to get a fiat loan. I dont see much difference apart from the subtle technicalities.
4139  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: September 23, 2020, 05:45:33 AM
Why'd you removed browser mining?.
The presence of browser mining flags the site by many AV software and AdBlockers potentially reducing the traffic to the site drastically.

Thus it was removed after a short trial run a long time ago. Was it recently started again? I have not been keeping track but I would prefer it to remain turned off.

Quote
I mostly earn bitcoin with mining and you just remove it.
Do you own your own mining setup? The amount earned from browser mining is neligible though. If you want your device to run with ease and keep electricity bills within limits I would not recommend it. Meaning that the money you would be spending on allowing browser mining would be more than what you earn from it.

Quote
I request you bring back the mining feature so we can earn more. I use my mind coin in gambling, I am so disappointed after getting know it's removed
We are curious to know which altcoin is that? Roll Eyes
4140  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Initiative Q Another free money trap on: September 23, 2020, 05:37:50 AM
These HYIP/MLM schemes no longer come to this forum to generate buzz because they are getting tagged and now flagged well. No wonder they hired some shill accounts to post those old topics posted by the OP. I saw that the accounts have been inactive, one of them being back in July 2020.

As far as I can say, they wont be coming back with another account here so no use flagging or tagging those older accounts. They may very well be sold off site and nothing we can do about that.

You will help reduce the enormous waste and pollution caused by Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, currently consuming as much energy as 6,000,000 households!
I really hate how these scumbags connect climate change with bitcoin mining and all even after it has been debunked on several occasions.
