just make sure if you do decide do anything on this site, look into getting a escrow. Check the rep also which shows the green + symbols.

And make sure you are talking to the correct person not an imposter.
4182  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are hashlets worth it? on: November 01, 2014, 10:25:35 AM
Hi everyone, I'm looking to start mining, and the cloud miners, by GAW miners (the hashlet) look like a good deal. How long do you have these miners? 5 years? Also, are there any hidden fees I should be aware about? Thanks!

Similar to cex.io, you mine with them until you choose to sell them at a loss/profit. Good luck
4183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Blockchain technology will pervade, but not bitcoin." on: November 01, 2014, 10:24:42 AM
[Stuff about an alt coin]
that takes away the decentralization, but decentralization isn't the only pro of blockchain technology,
Wow.
It doesn't have to be a coin.
If you are thinking of a blockchain, just as part of a virtual currency, you obviously don't have much imagination.
There are already enough projects out there with a blockchain, that doesn't include coins.

Such as? I have never come across one of them? Maybe NXT (they have coins, no?)
4184  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitcoinInsanity.com legit ? on: November 01, 2014, 10:23:37 AM
Move this to service discussion and you'll get a reply.

I think it seems fine.
4185  Economy / Services / Re: Highest Rate 0.12BTC for 40 Post. | Jr. Member accepted!CoinPiler Sig Campaign. on: November 01, 2014, 10:21:48 AM
@melisande read the thread,

I hope there will be some more space around tomorrow same time, when my current campaign ends Smiley
OP is a bit confusing. Is there only few spots left or almost all are still to take?
And i suggest dont go to big and get 500 members, since will be hard to handle later, organizing and cost wise.
I saw many campaigns go big and then end with lots of hate by those that they kicked out next month. better get solid number of members and keep them.

But he didn't sign a message from an address with (at least) 20 btc,  why you can trust him if he didn't  use an escrow or sign  a message ?

Pay attention guys Wink at the end is your choice.

Seems very sketchy to me currently.
Avoids escrow.
Avoids signing an address with any bitcoin at all.
Doesn't reply to direct concerns..

4188  Economy / Services / Re: PRCDice.eu - Signature campaign + Affiliate Program on: November 01, 2014, 10:18:53 AM
The signature campaign will end this Sunday

Sad news. It was (is) a great campaign.

Why  the sig. campaign will close? Can you know or is it privately?

Yes it was a great sig. campaign Wink.

I would assume its not performed to his liking or that it is too costly.
4189  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online or Desktop Wallet? on: October 19, 2014, 11:15:52 AM
Comb. of onlines and electrum + paper wallets of course.
4190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: unconfirmed transactions on: October 19, 2014, 11:15:10 AM
You just have to wait. It'll get confirmed in due time. Always best to include a fee to keep things moving along.

What happens if a node continuously pumps dust into the blockchain?  Like a server farm of 100s of PCs that do nothing but pump dust into the BTC blockchain, in an attempt to cripple it like a DOS attack?  Does that node get somehow cut off?

In the past people have done that but it would cost them alot in fees. Or they would get rejected.
4191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just what is a FAIR fee to send a Bitcoin transaction? on: October 19, 2014, 11:13:59 AM
I think the should 5 cents / less (5k satoshi / less)
And all tx must have fee

Most of people voted for 1 cent or less Shocked I agree with that

I disagree with your opinion, who will mine if the diff. very high & tx fee is very low

Satoshi said that no tx needs a fee unless the amount you are sending out is equal to or above 200x the largest transaction you have received.
4192  Other / Off-topic / Re: First time you heard about bitcoin on: October 19, 2014, 11:12:50 AM
Around the price increase and I wanted to get into mining, which I did.
4193  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.01 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE on: October 19, 2014, 11:03:52 AM
This campaign is the only one that has been consistent. I am in for my first week.
4194  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Start on: October 19, 2014, 11:02:20 AM
Make him read the whitepaper by satoshin@gmx.com. Also introduce him to several images that show bitcoins (search bitcoin image description) and also show him some faqs on www.blockchain.info
4195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does sig campaigns work exactly? on: October 19, 2014, 11:00:12 AM
???hi everybody i am here with yet another one of my newbies questions. Huh
i thank you all for responding to me  Roll Eyes

well whenever someone asks how to get some BTC there is this common answer to joins some sig. camp.
so How exactly does signature campaigns work?
you just put the link they give you inside you sig. area and do your usual postings?
or
you have to post about them, i mean like advertising?

Put advertiser signature code into your signature space,
then you're ready to advertise them.

Usual postings must not be like this :
"i agree",
"lol",
"nice one",
"I like your style",
and many more

If you do, then you probally will not get paid or probally got ban

just becareful  Wink

Is a post with one line but made sense acceptable in a sig campaign?
Definition of constructive post is anything that contributes to the topic being discussed and providing new opinions or points. If your post is one line but have information or contribution to the topic, yes it is acceptable. Just do not spam the forum by saying '+1', 'I agree', 'bump' or 'LOL'. They are considered not constructive. As much as possible, give as much point and contribute as much as possible to the topic.

Quantity isnt always quality, I could have said what you said in 1 sentence (yet both are still constructive)..
4196  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dumb Question..... on: October 19, 2014, 10:58:26 AM
If blockchain.info somehow disappears they wouldn't be able to touch your funds as faik.
is my wallet balance safe because I made email back ups?
Absolutely as long as it is encrypted well.
4197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A prankster trying to pay some clueless bus guy with Bitcoin on: October 19, 2014, 10:56:51 AM
From the rest of the world, it is bitcoin users that are clueless.

Who is to say they are wrong and we are right?

Good point there actually, we could be wasting all our time on this idea. It could fail in 3 days or it could rocket to be accepted in 10 years.
4198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: October 19, 2014, 10:55:34 AM
I buy miners occasionally, however I am yet to spend it on another consumer good  Undecided
4199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses "bits"? on: October 19, 2014, 10:54:24 AM
I wouldn't use bits it confuses people. Sticking to satoshi and bitcoin and maybe mbtc is the best thing. Simple.
4200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Limit of 7 transactions per second.... on: October 19, 2014, 10:53:24 AM
Didnt Gavin recommend a hard fork to improve this issue of scalability?
