4181  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: November 03, 2021, 12:38:34 PM
Criminals prefer fiat because they find it faster and easier without accessing anything on the internet. They see it as less complex that they could do transactions even without the use of the internet. However, some modern criminals prefer using cryptocurrency because of the anonymity that it provides. Traditional criminals aren't knowledgeable about cryptocurrency yet.

I don't think it's because of knowledge but because criminals are worried that when depositing money into crypto they have to go through complicated procedures, usually criminals don't want to bother with exchanges that require data verification and also withdrawals to bank accounts must match their identities so cash is better than cryptocurrencies.

This, on the other hand, has a valid point. If you're a criminal, they'll pull an identity thief or devise a workaround to get around this verification process. Fiat is the most direct method of spending money, and I believe that this is the primary reason for its popularity. In order to take advantage of this, criminals employ this method the most frequently. However, I believe that they are switching to crpyto because of the anonymity and speed it provides, as well as the ability to send large sums of money
4182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Verified Information - Missed Opportunities on: November 03, 2021, 06:22:56 AM
It is easy to judge and laugh at people and their past actions, but some of us have done the same exact thing even when the price was still promising, and even if you didn't you might in the future and you will always look back and say i wish i have kept them, the thing is we can't predict the future and we don't live forever so it is better to enjoy things while you still can instead of just hording and not spending any of it just for the sake of it reaching higher prices, it is good to think about the future but also it is good to live the moment and enjoy the present.

I believe that we should simply laugh at our mistakes while also learning from our experiences. When it comes to my own mistakes, they were not as severe as this one, but they could have made me wealthy if I hadn't sold my bitcoins in 2016, which is a sad thought when I think about it. I agree that we can't predict it, so if we make a mistake by not holding it, I believe now is the time to hold it because we don't want to make the same mistake again. Let's take a chance on something in the hope of receiving something in return.
4183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 03, 2021, 04:50:11 AM
I think that these stats have some merit.

However, it is still important to take into account the fact that consumption overall has gone up during the pandemic recovery phase, and also inflation has been pretty high which can modulate the results.

But I do agree that virtual gambling has definitely been taken up by a lot of people who traditionally played at physical venues - and perhaps that is why these stats have ballooned.

That is true, but I doubt that the number will rise because most people do not have sufficient funds to spend on something that is not worth it, such as gambling. Since the pandemic, my life has been extremely difficult, and I haven't even considered putting my hard-earned cash into online gambling games. Most of these people, I believe, are either extremely wealthy or at least have some spare cash lying around. However, the majority of the time, this is due to people being bored at home and seeking some form of entertainment

4185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The president of El Salvador just bout 420 BTC! on: November 02, 2021, 01:59:27 PM
By buying so much BTC then they are sure that the magic will happen for the future, and they are a country that is currently using BTC as a legitimate means of payment so what they are doing now is all well planned even though the risk they receive is very large but in this case the agreement of certain parties has been agreed then Nayib Bukele does not want to waste this opportunity for the benefit of his country, This is all done for the benefit of the country and prosperity in the future.

There's no magic here since eventhough how promising bitcoin in  terms of profitability for holding it for so many years still we have a huge risk that we might don't get the target price we set for future and sometimes a huge dumps will came and that can affect their economy but I'm sure he know on what he is doing since for sure he have experience advisers on his side and have a proper planning on what actions they need to do once the market collapsed on certain times.

I don't think they're just buying it for the sake of holding it; I believe it's to help their economy cycle since they legalized bitcoin, and I believe they'll offer it as a payment method just to get people to try it, or they're planning something big. Though, in terms of holding it, there is still a lot of risk because we don't know what will happen, but we should be prepared for losses as well as wins because there are times when it is dump. However, risking is the best option because you will know whether or not you will win.
4186  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think narcos may actually be on the 10 richest? on: November 02, 2021, 01:17:13 PM
Many rich people prefer to be silent without revealing their wealth, usually news about rich people is from the amount of tax they pay, I often hear that Pablo Escobar has a lot of assets from property to stocks, and maybe he is in the top 10 richest people in the world.

I believe the majority of them will remain silent out of concern for their family's safety and that of their relatives. However, I believe that wealth is much more difficult to conceal now that there are so many eyes on you and that everyone should declare their assets. In reference to Pablo Escobar. He is a very well-known individual, but his wealth is derived from illegal activities, which they excluded him from because they were illegal, and he does not deserve to be excluded from top riches because they are not good.
4187  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: November 02, 2021, 04:37:21 AM

this is a sad reality that is happening and will continue to happen
even we see many of the religious leaders who pursue wealth through religion

Human greed destroys their purpose in life and leads them to wealth so they don't care where their wealth comes from
there's nothing wrong with chasing wealth it's just that it's useless when you harm others to enrich yourself such as selling drugs, fraud, or other crimes
this is still a taboo but there are things like this even though not all of them seek wealth through religion and only some of them do that.
on the other hand back to human nature, we are still greedy and want to get profit for all things and the goal is to be rich.
regardless of what it is there will always be this bad trait in every human being, but indeed there are those who can control it and some who can't.

Since money is a necessity for survival, I believe the majority of people are materialistic. That is, by far, the most common issue facing people today. Everyone needs money, but people are never satisfied with what they have; they always want more. For example, there are people who want to buy a bicycle, but after doing so, they want a motorcycle, and after doing so, they are still not satisfied, so they now want a car. This is an illustration of greediness, which leads to people being dissatisfied with their lives and unappreciative of the little things.
4188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 01, 2021, 06:39:13 PM
I tried to reread the article again and felt that the writing of the author of the article looked ambiguous, the percentages generated from their research were really confusing. however if the data they produce is correct then this is serious homework for the UK government, they must urgently provide a healing place for those addicted to gambling during this pandemic.

Agreed, but I believe there are numerous facilities in the United Kingdom that can assist you in overcoming your gambling addiction. The problem is that the costs are extremely high, and I am not sure if the government has provided financial assistance in this regard, but if it has, that is excellent news. In addition to healing facilities, there are advocacy groups that can assist you in getting naturally healed, but only if you cooperate with them... It should come as no surprise that gambling addiction is keep rising this pandemic, given that people are bored and want to play and play every day.
4189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: November 01, 2021, 12:30:45 PM
The only people who benefit from fixed matches are bookies and players.

The players maybe if they are the ones who do the fixed game, but for bookies? I don't know, because they are the ones who will receive the bet and if a bettor has information about a fixed game, he would put his bet to the bookies and the bookies will play him, so bookies, in short, do not benefit from it, they actually hate it.

Agree i think mostly is the one that has a high rank in the system which they are really know what is happening , also player which they will throw the game which they will not perform well. Money is money which if we are talking to it they will throw everything if they will get a lot of money out of it. I really dont know why they do that , is their winning is not enough ? so they are buying the pride of the games?
4190  Economy / Economics / Re: Steam bans blockchain games on: November 01, 2021, 07:31:29 AM
steam made a good decision so that there are no more victims of p2e scams
Are you telling this in general so that Steam won't add those games that allows p2e on their platform? AFAIK, there's no scam P2E that has been there on Steam ever since the NFT of games has popped with the P2E's feature. And those people that are becoming a victim of p2e scams, they're the same as the victim of ICOs. They've been buying through hype and doesn't do that much research. There's a lot of p2e and they're not the only scams out there in the market and it's always the investors discretion to research before investing as their entry to p2e projects.

I concur completely on this point. It is the case with the ICOs previously and currently in that they are purchasing them solely on the basis of hype and not conducting their own research. NFT is extremely good right now, and you should avoid generalising about all NFT games available, as not all are scams. I believe steam banned it because they believe it is an additional platform or genre that they are unable to control. However, as a player of NFT games, I believe this is a minor issue, as the majority of players do not rely solely on the Steam platform.
4191  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 31, 2021, 05:33:47 AM
Faith currency has been in existence for a long time know I do believe you are aware and there is no way Bitcoin or crypto currency can any way eliminate it completely, and if you are waiting to to see a day such will happen then you will continue to wait till eternity because it will not come to pass. The measurements of Bitcoin and crypto currency generally are all on the faith currency and that was why they have values, for without faith currency, crypto currency will have no values quotes me any where brother.

A recurring topic indeed. No, fiat will not disappear since no government will allow a distributed decentralised system to take over their instruments of monetary policy. They are quite trigger happy to print money before elections and they are perfectly positioned to choose the legal tender that they consider more interesting for controlling the economy.

It is sad that such a powerful instrument is being used irresponsibly in many cases and, in may, with pure incompetence.
each country is certainly competing to get a strong position among the currencies of other countries and of course with control from the government. to lose control and leave fiat, I feel it is also unlikely that this will happen, especially since the currency in each country is different, and it becomes a pride for a country, except for countries whose currency becomes worthless.

In addition to pride, it is a well-established payment method and means of payment for all since our currency was first introduced. I agree with you that it is extremely difficult because our currency is well-established, which means that it is fully functional and has no flaws; all that is needed are new innovations. I believe it is preferable to use cryptocurrency as a secondary payment method because it is extremely useful to us, rather than replacing fiat currency, which is not a good idea.
4192  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: October 31, 2021, 04:34:21 AM
What are the things differ from mindset of common man with investor, please share your thoughts.

IMO,investors never want to take loans for their consumption like home loan, car loan, etc then just save money and will buy the things for their needs but common man like you and me will buy the things immediately when we get the desire of it using loans but we are paying 20% of interest to those kind of loans.
Investors are much more patient. They can give up something today and invest money to have a better life in the future while the majority of people who stand aside from the market can't save their money at all and spend them as soon as get. So investors has absolutely another mindset. They can multiply money while others can only earn and spend straightaway.
I agree with you; I believe this is the type of person who is willing to put everything he has on the line for what he believes is worth investing for. I am not an investor, but I do hold a coin if I earn something, and I am also afraid of taking risks, which I believe is why I am not likely to be successful, but I am hopeful that I will be able to overcome this fear because in order to be successful, we must be willing to take risks and see the results that we desire. I would also say that the average person works from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day just to pay their bills and nothing more.
4193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputable dice sites with instant/flash bets on: October 30, 2021, 09:01:12 AM
~
Instant flash bets arent really that something interesting because knowing results in a particular number of bets in an instantaneous ways where some people doesnt really like to look upon but there are people
who do love on having that way.

I agree, as a fan of dice game I personally prefer manual betting. I rarely do auto betting, only when it's a roll hunt challenge in the chat. I was never looking for a place with flash bets, and I'm not going to, but after reading through this thread I see this feature has its fans. Well, I think that's great actually, as long as it's entertaining and you are not losing more than you can afford to lose.

Some people preferred with the use of automatic betting because its get less hassle than spinning every turn or round still there's a chance you see that you are winning and cancel the automatic bet, still it's part of the gambling there's a winning and losing streak days. As for now i previously played with the wolf.bet, roobet, duelbits, stake.com i don't have any idea with the  bustadice if they are still currently working.

That is something I agree with. I believe that at first you will not realise that you required it because you are simply clicking to roll the dice or do whatever, but after an hour of play you will realise that it is best to play it if it is auto roll because it is the same as clicking in that it is simply automatic. While some may argue that using an auto roll will result in a loss, I believe this is not true because the results are completely random and the website where you are playing is extremely fair.
4194  Economy / Economics / Re: Ways to avoid being scammed!!! on: October 30, 2021, 02:37:44 AM
Greed has led so many people to falling a scam victim. Its so cruel how people are wanting to make millions without putting up a reasonable investment on an initiative and promising project. Crypto isn't a get-quick-rich-scheme like ponzi but rather something far better and smarter than ponzi. You just got to follow the right channels and right protocols to avoid getting scammed.

Yes, and these people are looking for quick money, which is the primary reason they fell victim to a scam. They are putting their trust in those who offer high returns and passive income, and as a result, they get scam. Well, they are just getting started in the field, so we could say that they are just getting their feet wet in terms of investing. Now is the time to advise and guide them on where they should not go with it. I have also informed my family and friends about something that I am aware of in order for them to be aware of it.
4195  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is Happier: Stock investors or Bitcoin investors on: October 29, 2021, 06:00:25 PM
It's obvious that Bitcoin investors as well as hodlers and believers are highly happier right now.

Yeah apparently it looks that crypto gives much more returns  as compare to the stocks but at same time the losses in cryptocurrency are more too.

It really depends who is more happy of the two. I think who have gain profit from either crypto or bitcoin are more  happier ones. You just need to be in profit and it does not matter if it comes from stock investment or crypto investment.

Those who believe that crypto has a high rate of return are shortsighted, as they do not consider the downside, as how much you gain is proportional to your losses, which you should be aware of. Those who are professionals are constantly considering the negative or loss side in order to prepare for what will happen if they lose. However, on both sides, I will assert that they involve risk, but crypto has a faster rate of movement than stocks.
4196  Economy / Economics / Re: Simple reason why crypto is preferred over fiats on: October 29, 2021, 02:35:36 AM
Although bitcoin also has advantages over fiat, there are disadvantages too. for bitcoiners, it might totally support bitcoin, but if you look at the reality, I think the role of fiat is very big. I don't think it's easy to replace fiat, but it's not something that is impossible with the development of existing technology. what is clear is that not many governments can accept it

Agreed, the truth is that some countries have banned bitcoin because they lack trust in the technology and do not want to be transparent. However, there are some countries that are interested in it. But I prefer crypto in terms of savings because you can earn money over time and it is difficult to get and spend your money, so it is really good for me in terms of saving because I am a kinda lazy person. However, for spending purposes, fiat is preferable because not all merchants accept cryptocurrency.
4197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling addiction is getting real on: October 28, 2021, 04:30:24 PM
I suggest that you take a break not just from casino but from gambling in general. Forget about both casino and sportsbook for now. I am doubting you can easily resist the urge to visit the casino if you are still exposed to online gambling. Exclusion from the casino feature on stake is not a strong way to stop your gambling urge. It is just a few clicks away and you already find yourself playing in some other casino or dice sites. If you are really serious in controlling your gambling loss, you should take a full gambling rest.

Totally . Decided to quit gambling for now ( after this weekend UFC ) as already placed my bet and once i started exclusion my money is stucked on stake. Will start my 1month/3month gambling exclusion once i withdraw my money from Stake.com.

Yes ,it was dumb to go that much in gambling and 'chasing' my lost and snowballing to huge amount. Learnt from my mistake and hope no one do the same mistake like I did.

It's good that you have an understanding that gambling is addictive and gradually takes your money. Try to ask yourself why you could not stop after losing the first $1000. That's right, you were trying to win back your past losses. Those who come to the casino to win back can never leave the casino satisfied. Try to change your mindset towards gambling and make playing poker or betting on sports a kind of entertainment like going to the movies or meeting up with friends. Only by changing your mindset will you stop being addicted to gambling and be able to truly enjoy the game and not the winnings.

Although this type of mindset is beneficial, it cannot prevent you from becoming addicted to gambling because, even though it is only for entertainment purposes, you are still drawn to it on a daily basis, which leads to addiction. However, this is  not preferable to those who try to win back your losses because that is greediness, which can lead to bigger losses and addiction. However, if you go to casinos on a regular basis, such as once a week for fun, I believe you will not become addicted, but you will be vulnerable to it.
4198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: October 28, 2021, 12:12:29 PM
A little research can help you to decide in that kind of situation. Thats the edge of sports betting compared to other gambling games, we can somehow predict who's going to win depending on the background and previous fights of a player (team) so we can get an idea.

If you like to take risk then go for the underdog, otherwise, go to the people's champ. For me, it depends on their background, underdog doesnt necessarily mean he's not capable of winning, its just that he is not the favorite.
The research for the match will help us determine which player or team has more chances to win. Going with the underdog or the opposite will depend on the result of the research itself but it is better not to place all of the amounts if you think you can use it for the next match. If you think that your chance at that time is big, you can use all of the money to throw to the team that you select.
Dont really have that kind of habit on going all in no matter how sure i am on said or particular game because we know that upset could really happen and if you are in doubt then testing out with small amounts isnt really that a bad idea but the urge or the emotion that we do have would tell the opposite thing thats why peoples betting habit does really vary because some are way too impulsive and some does have that good self control and wont be tending to bet on one go.So it does vary.
Going all in will depend on how good our research is because if we have valid data after research, we will be sure to throw in the money to the player or team that has a big chance to win. It is normal to see some gamblers do that because their expectation of winning at that time will be bigger. But if we do not have to get valid data about the match, we do not have to force ourselves to still place the bet on that match because there are other matches we can place the bet. Maybe we need to adapt the situation on the Sportsbook and only place the bet in the match that we know who is the player or the team.

But, if luck is on our side, I believe we can win. However, you are correct in that we should conduct research or, at the very least, follow the team or player on whom we are betting, because it is money, and we should bet on a certain winner. However, most people who bet on sports are either very knowledgeable about the sport or very familiar with the player or team on which they are betting, as it is extremely difficult to bet if you have no background or even if you do not know who you are betting on.
4199  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon musk now the richest man in earth on: October 28, 2021, 07:05:40 AM
he still strongly rejects everything related to bitcoin.
No mate. He doesn't reject bitcoin anymore, there's a new tweet from him that he said he only owns bitcoin, ethereum, and dogecoin. And that's why those that don't like him because he keeps on saying rejection about bitcoin before, started to like him back.
We don't know how long he's going to tell that again and maybe in the nearest future, there's going to be a change of heart again from him and would bash bitcoin once again.
As a billionaire then it wont really be that giving out some good feels when a huge community would really be having a bad impression to you because you do have negative views and impression towards bitcoin where the community will normally react and hate all things that do hate bitcoin itself.
If he owned bitcoin then that will really changed up things and people who hate him would like him back. On this community it doesnt really matter
if  you are a billionaire or average joe because we do all believe on the same thing.
It does. Remember the time when Tesla has announced its ownership and bought bitcoin? the market has changed a lot. And when the time that Elon speaks against bitcoin about renewable energy for mining then that also changed a lot to the market.
This time, as he admit that he owns bitcoin there's not that much change and all the attention goes to the other meme coin that he likes although admitted that he don't own any, shiba.

Isn't it true that he also hyped the Doge? I believe that when the biggest influencers or those powerful people say or post something on social media about something, people are compelled to learn about it. For example, when he mentioned bitcoin, most people became curious and began to research it, and the price skyrocketed as a result of so many people buying it. If someone like Elon Musk speaks about bitcoin or other crypto currencies, this is most likely to happen.
4200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AXS and SLP. Why the price of SLP is falling but AXS is rising? on: October 28, 2021, 02:37:52 AM
It has to do with inflation, people in the game make money that they sell of course to make money. The token sale doesn't stop there in part due to the rather high reward of 200 SLP profits per day per player and the lack of a SLP burning plan to reduce inflation. This must be done quarterly so that the SLP price can rise again.
There's actually a continuous market for SLP but it's not just all about selling, there are also people that are buying it because they're breeders. And as you say that it looks like a standard of earning 200 SLP per day. Well, the reward has gone lower for the majority this time, especially those with weaker axies. Before it's like the 150 slp standard but this time it has been halved. I can't even reach 200 SLP per day because my team isn't that strong but it's possible for everybody.

The market isn't doing so well because there are 2 million daily active users, all of whom are earning SLP, and while there are breeders, there are still a lot more people earning per day. As a result, they reduced SLP earnings in the game to balance things out, but the price remains extremely low. Developers are working on improvements to the game, and I believe Jihoz has a plan to how he can raise the price, but I don't believe it is the right time because they are focused on V2 and other things that will help stabilize the game.
