hi all,

what vents do you use for additional vrm-cooling?

i am considering to get some of those:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999344

but i dont like that they come with an extra rpm-controller, thats alot of controllers flying around if i put one of those fans at each board...

Get the Arctic F12 Wink
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186079

I use F12 + some Megaflows, which I found for a very cheap price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=Megaflow&N=-1&isNodeId=1

ok, i was in doubt if those arctics would supply enough CFM.

i guess some adapters are needed to put them straight at the PSU?

They supply enough imo. Molex adapters are needed or get a cheap fan controller.

thx! lets go and clock those things!

Doesn't raise FAULT 4, but still gives you ~800 (with case on).

case on. any additional vram-coolers?

so it comes underclocked

Congrats on your delivery! This caught my attention as I also received mine today! Actually having the same problem with the PSU, have to switch it on and off a few times before it starts up. I didn't find the set up too difficult. It's hashing away pretty well so no complaints but yeah not likely to see those coins back but oh well you win some, you lose some, enjoy!

paid via btc/bitpay or wire transfer?
4190  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 22, 2014, 02:10:59 AM
Any information on how to set it up?  Have one on the way but I can't get home for another week and will have to get my wife to get it up and hashing.

it comes with minepeon installed, so your wife will have to handle minepeon

I take it they're using an Raspberry Pi then as the controller?

exactly

There was no shipping notification sent... it just arrived on my door step I was quite surprised at its arrival.

For what it's worth, the water cooling is really nice.. it is a quiet rig. It's also in a full black ATX case with a window so you can see the water cooled goodness. It is definitely the sexiest mining rig I've ever seen... too bad it will never return a fraction of the BTC we paid for it.

It has run stable for over 24 hours- not crashing once at about 423 Gh. As far as performance.. I am happy with what was delivered. Compared to my full Bitfury rigs it runs like a dream. I would compare the stability to the likes of an Avalon or KNCminer (which both run pretty stable in my experience.)

The Babyjet is expandable.. there is space to double the hashing capacity. The MPP didn't ship with the order, as confirmed by others. We need to press HashFast for the details on that & when we can receive it. I hope they hook us up for being so late.. simply shipping a DIY kit where I could double the hash rate of the Baby Jet would be much appreciated.

sounds like plenty of overclock-potential to me

question is: how to do it
4193  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 22, 2014, 12:25:06 AM
So they are shipping if you paid in USD or if you are threating them of asking for BTC refund. Sorry, i missed that.

Trollface.

which shipped BJ was paid by USD?
4194  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 22, 2014, 12:10:47 AM
My order number is in the 600s (top 125 in the order chain of batch 1).

I paid with BTC at bitpay.

I did not request a refund.

I never threatened legal action.

I did not receive my miner or even a shipping code yet.

HashFast is so dirty.

where do you live?
4195  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Guess who got a HashFast Baby Jet today.......... on: January 21, 2014, 10:49:45 PM
Or plan for delays like I did...Batch 4 just started looking a whole lot juicier with actual shipments and tons of people getting out of line early!

as far as i know you cant buy any batch#4. webshop closed. most likely they were forced to stop selling.
4196  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 21, 2014, 09:56:41 PM
My daughter just Skyped to tell me that I received a very large box from Hashfast today (in the US).  No shipment notice preceded the box.  It just came.

Unfortunately for me, I left for Europe yesterday for a week long business trip.

I paid USD.  I am almost at the end of the Batch 1 queue, only a few places above the backorders.  I did not ask for a refund.

Wish to hell I was at home to set it up.

I haven't seen the thing with own eyes, but if it's not a Baby Jet, I don't what would be in a "very large box" sent from Hashfast.

a bomb?
a gay prostitute hidden inside a wedding cake? .... surprise, it's Long dong in his birthday suit!

you had to pay extra for that
4197  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 21, 2014, 07:52:38 PM
Margins, yes Smiley but 100% (or even more?).

Why wouldn't nov jupiter be OCable when nov saturns are?

why do you assume that they arent?
4198  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Guess who got a HashFast Baby Jet today.......... on: January 21, 2014, 02:46:18 PM
Well, that's quite of a straight line... Thanks for sharing...

400 GH conflicts with the other "report", we will see what they are shipping... My guess is that you could possibly have received an older revision of the board? Just a guess, anyway.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262052.msg4598443#msg4598443

i expect them to be easily overclockable. they try to be safe as possible in terms of legal issues. any advice to OC and occuring problems would mean additional trouble to them. so they stay safe and just clock those miners to the guranteed 400 GH/s.

its now up to the community to overclock these things as fast as possible.

"We expect to begin shipping the initial run of units at the end of this week, incrementally ramping up production for volume shipping commencing next week."
