425  Economy / Gambling / Re: Trial run of Interbit Lotto - 0.5BTC Bonus for winner, 1 time only on: August 26, 2011, 01:42:06 AM
i should of mentioned that deposits have to be 0.05BTC per ticket! as each entry will acount as 1 ticket.

I'm going to have to refund any amount over 0.05BTC on each ticket. Will update the values when tickets are confirmed
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name for a bitcoin lottery? on: August 26, 2011, 01:36:32 AM
Well for now i will stick with interbitlotto.

Im not too sure if i will keep the site, or sell the code, had an interest already for the script so its up to them to call it what they wish Smiley.

yes, deposit addresses are asigned to each payout address per round, if you send another request, it will give you the same address, but only for that round.

some deposits coming though now.
428  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoinduit.com - Server Status: UP 100% (Time for multi homed live swap..) on: August 26, 2011, 01:29:40 AM
i think a refund for http://bitcoinduit.com/10th_Wins_0pt5 is in order Tongue
429  Economy / Gambling / Re: Trial run of Interbit Lotto on: August 26, 2011, 01:04:07 AM
Ah sorry i need to change that.

The number will only result in a number within the range of tickets sold. If you check the code, the upper number will be the number of tickets sold.

The same number will be generated each time with the code.

Feedback and bug reports here please.

Thanks

Thank you to the bug reports, i will have those ironed out for round 2.

The right way is to flag addresses as bad, then automatically track them as they branch out into thousands of addresses (attempted laundering) and make such a database easy to query so mtgox or other exchanges could refuse to pay out such addresses.

But then if they transfer the money to someone innocent then their address will get flagged

433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible method to making bitcoin more safe? on: August 25, 2011, 10:17:42 PM
The only other way i can see is add a middle man company to do the exchange. one sends the coins, the other sends the goods, and the exchange is carried out like that
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possible method to making bitcoin more safe? on: August 25, 2011, 10:16:44 PM
Ok, possibly like a credit limit sort of system like real banks use.

Ok so alot of people have been scammed and alot of people worried about getting scammed.

Maybe the way bitcoins keep everything so anonymous isnt such a great idea.

What if someone was to come up with an online service that registers and authenticates bitcoin addresses. Maybe a simular way to how paypal works. By having a huge database of registered addresses where the owners geographical address and contact details are verified. Maybe even a feedback system where users can report good experiences with users.

That way people would know only to do business with people who are registered and verified, with a good feedback history.

It would probally require a small fee for every setup for the cost of sending a registration code via post.

opinions?
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name for a bitcoin lottery? on: August 25, 2011, 09:49:09 PM
gordo?? whats that Tongue.

I was thinking of keeping at least Bit in it, so people could reconise it as being related to bitcoins...  alot of other good names are taken without bit or lotto in it.

mmm, somthing catchy would be good.

I may sell the script with the site and domain name, so there will be somthing in it for someone who comes up with the name Tongue
439  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Stealth Runner - Runs applications hidden during PC Idle on: August 25, 2011, 06:59:51 PM
But now the question is, what pool will let you hook up multiple IPs to 1 worker account?

I wondered about that too. Someone said it will work. I havnt tested it enough to know for sure
440  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: running miners in stealth mode? on: August 25, 2011, 06:58:51 PM
Coded a new stealth app for windows, visit link in my signature. Source code is included.

This was an intelligent response! I liked it, I will test!  Wink

Thank you Smiley
