421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to secure a PC or device in general, connected to the internet 24/7? on: September 11, 2017, 09:24:15 PM
Most Important way to secure an PC is to be carefully.
You have to know what you are doing.

The internet isnt secure at all.

thanks
A real contribution here, would be to say a very small thing (with all its details) about how to be "very careful"
and teach to know "what you are doing", you understand?  Smiley

Even if you do everything right, there is a change that new scam/malware will pop up and that your PC will be infected. For example what I see nowdays is someone sending you PDF on email. You open it and think nothing of it but your infected already. So even if you "know what you are doing" you can't think of everything
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on: September 11, 2017, 09:02:15 PM
Ethereum have great concept but development team... I just can't invest into them knowing that they could just do hard fork when something does wrong with investor's funds like they did with DAO
423  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-11] Openbazaar 2.0 Beta Launches with Tor, Offline Stores, Shapeshift.. on: September 11, 2017, 08:50:24 PM
they add Shapeshift ? We all know that if needed Shapeshift does not mind working with governments...
If the user is already trying to stay anonymous, they'll probably just be using Shapeshift with a VPN/Tor and they'll have tried to cover their tracks in terms of blockchain analysis.

What is the point then for adding it in the first place ? We don't know exactly what data Shapeshift collects from customers so anyone who is concerned about privacy should avoid it
424  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-11] MASTer Plan: Better BTC Smart Contracts Could Go Live This Year on: September 11, 2017, 06:34:03 PM
If this actually happen to Bitcoin, price would go just insane. And I don't really see the reason why not to support further upgrades to the network

Looks like they failed pretty bad here. By including TOR looks like they try to encourage sales of drugs and other contraband but they add Shapeshift ? We all know that if needed Shapeshift does not mind working with governments...
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ? on: September 11, 2017, 06:25:57 PM
Bitcoin of course. How can you invest in Ethereum when you know that if anything goes wrong with funds of large investors they will just fork it and make it right. Has everyone forgotten ETH/ETC news ?
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price up again? on: September 11, 2017, 06:24:01 PM
If the news spreading around is fake, bitcoin and altcoin price will recover soon. Otherwise, there will be a long time before the price of cryptocurrency will recover. It will take some time but it will surely recover.
I don't think price will stay like this for very long regardless of the income. In a months time everything will be back to normal and price will continue to go up
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to secure a PC or device in general, connected to the internet 24/7? on: September 11, 2017, 09:55:06 AM
If you understood me very well, I just want to say the simple (and complex) things we usually do to prevent hacking the device.
For example use and configure a firewall. Use original operating systems, keep them up to date, and a very long etc, which we consider obvious, but for people who are not very lovers of techno, these things are not known. And somehow it is necessary to expose these subjects to help these people.

If you want to be more secure use Ubuntu or Mac. There is common misinformation that there are viruses only on Windows but that is of course not true. Its just that most people use Windows and most malwares are made for it. Just by switching to other platform you will get huge security boost as there is significantly lower change of you getting infected.
429  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-10] China Ban on ICO is Temporary, Licensing to be Introduced: Official on: September 11, 2017, 09:48:38 AM
Great 100% support from me. If they require some verification from ICOs before they can do anything it will eliminate huge percentage of scammy ones (which is most of ICOs anyway...)
430  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-27] BITCOMOM GO - Pokemon Like Game For Catching Crypto Money on: September 11, 2017, 09:38:35 AM
Because it can be an investment. Other coins ask for money and don't give you anything so what is the difference ? At least they have a game though.

Difference is that other coins use (or at least say they will) the money for development of useful features that you may actually want. If you like this idea you can pay me 100$ and I'll send you 1$ each day until the money is spent Smiley Smiley
431  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Steam account for sell - original owner - no bans , 356 games, only 2k2$ on: September 10, 2017, 04:19:43 PM
Account value does not matter really. Only popular games do. You'r never going to get anything close to that. If you are expecting to get more than 200$ better don't sell it Smiley
432  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Can't buy Trezor on: September 10, 2017, 04:15:14 PM
I'm the only one who is facing this issue? I wanted to buy one through their site (Trezor.io) and whenever I click the buy button I get redirected to this page: https://shop.trezor.io/?h=7472657a6f722e696f where It says there is an error: Server Error (500). I know some might suggest Amazon but I want to buy it directly from them.

Done same steps as OmegaStarScream. Looks like everything is working fine here too. Try using different browser, maybe that will fix it.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is Laughing on: September 10, 2017, 04:12:50 PM
China has a major impact on crypto but there are other alternatives. Don't panic just hodl, everything is going to be fine long term. Actually china is stupid, they dumped their btc on to exchanges and they will regret it very very hard Smiley. Someone wise said once, CHINA BANS SOMETHING? just buy it !!

China banned ICOs which is a good move. That however as you said does not mean that we should invest in ICOs. Most of them end up being scam so I don't really understand why do people cry about that. China is basically saving their own money for them.
434  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Site investment bitcoin received 100% on: September 10, 2017, 10:10:48 AM
Obviously a scam. I mean if you are even going to try put some effort into it. I mean just look at that website...
435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will rise up or fall down? on: September 10, 2017, 10:08:00 AM
What do you think? China banned BTC? And btc price goes to 4,069$ today Smiley
You think to sell or it can rise up again, some rumors said that btc will fall down to 2000$
China did not Ban BTC. And I don't think price drop has anything to do with ICO ban. It's just that most of the guys are selling now that price has gone this high, it's expected to drop.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is China manipulating the price of Bitcoin and other altcoins? on: September 10, 2017, 10:06:58 AM
Not only China. Many billionaires are doing it. When price drops like now (almost below 4k) lots of newbs are going to sell, which is opportunity for them to get cheap coins
437  Economy / Marketplace / Re: need help from trusted people on: September 04, 2017, 11:17:59 PM
In order to make money you need money. Simplest thing to do is just buy as much BTC as you can and eventually you will profit. If you want to start trading you need huge investment, same goes for mining.
438  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-04]‘Black Monday’: The People’s Bank of China Declares ICOs Illegal on: September 04, 2017, 03:36:51 PM
A lot of people think this is the reason for BTC's price drop. I wouldn't be so sure as no one serious really care about ICO's at all as most of them end up being scam. I personally think this is a good move
439  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How do I get my coins on my trezor? on: September 03, 2017, 11:35:44 PM
Thanks. I'm trying not to get hit with fees when I move my bit coins. Seems like putting them on the trezor then I only pay the fee once. I think.

Do the bitcoins actually live on the trezor? i noticed I can only access my trezor with chrome. So if I want to send my bit coins any time I want I just have to carry around my trezor and plug it into a computer and remember the pin correct?

Once you have moved your coins to your Trezor, you can use it as your new wallet. Like with any Bitcoin wallet, you will have to pay transaction fees whenever you send coins to a new address (eg. an exchange or when buying stuff).

Bitcoins don't "live" on the Trezor, the bitcoin balances are stored in the Bitcoin network with Trezor safekeeping the keys you need to move your coins around. You can take your Trezor with you and use it on any PC that has Chrome installed. However you will always need to install Trezor's Chrome extension first.

Note that in addition to the PIN, having a passphrase is recommended. However keep in mind that if you lose or forget your passphrase, you won't be able to access your coins.

That is correct, but what I would like to add is that Chrome is not required. If you don't want to use chrome browser for whatever reason, Trezor bridge can be downloaded to windows (and other systems) directly
440  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Do I need a second Trezor for recovering? on: September 03, 2017, 11:32:28 PM
Is it possible to recover my trezor wallet without a new trezor device? For example with Electrum? Just want to make sure the seed is correct before updating the firmware.

You can use Electrum wallet to recover your Trezor. They use same scheme for creating the seed so they are compatible. You can look up for other wallets that use it too.
