go to your breaker box... it should have some sort of labels or diagram... then they should say 10,15,20 amp... multiply that by 120 is the amount of watts you can put on that circuit

How many amps do the typical house have?  It's the original box when the house was built in the 70s, I'm sure it's worn out by now...

How many watts can a typical household handle before blowing the breaker or whatever?

I want to know how many miners I can run before I start blowing fuses.

edit: my house was built around 1970 if that helps

The shelf looks fine. Just be aware if the floor is carpeted that you should be careful and discharge any static electricity before touching your gear. Wink

Actually the floor is carpetted, which makes me worried.

Probably a dumb question, but I want to be sure I don't fry my Antman's:

This space I have set up, should be relatively static-free right?

Does anyone mine with their Antminer in their bedrooms/room they spend most of their time in?  Does it get too hot?  Will you be able to have multiple Antminer's in your room in the summer?

Haven't received any confirmation emails yet, 20 hrs later.

This is normal right?

So what do you guys think, will I be able to overclock Two Antminer's with this PSU?  Or am I pushing my luck?  It peaks at 825W

I'm not sure if 60Amps will be enough to run 2 miners, but I've not run 2 on my 750W yet (been working through other issues), although it has 4x40Amp rails which would probably be better suited.

If I overclock both Antminer's and it turns out to be too much for the PSU to take, what is most likely to happen?  It will just power off right?  I won't destroy anything right?

if you are pulling 400W from each miner, overclocked, it won't work.

Yes but my Power Supply has a peak rating of 835 watts, and cost me 200 dollars in 2007.  I'm pretty sure PC Power and Cooling isn't some joke PSU maker bro.

So you will run your PSU at peak continuously?  What is its efficiency at peak?

Not sure what the efficiency is, but I know PC POWER AND COOLING is pretty much Master Race as far as power supplies is concerned.  When my antminer's arrive from China, I'm gonna blast this fucker with all she's got, I'm talking 400+mhz here.  Hopefully I'll save 100 bones too.

If your PCIE 8 pin is not 6+2 then you need 2 more pcie 6 pins besides the 2 on the psu.  There is an adapter somewhere.

Since each antminer needs 2 6pin pcie power inputs (one per blade).

On http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/PC_Power_Cooling/Silencer_750W/

it says it has 2x6 + 2x6+2 so i should be good right?

Shoulld be ok.  Would be close.  I have ran 2 on 750 and 760 PSUs no problem.

My regular ants are pushing 365-385 at the wall. PSU takes a little juice also.  Then again I have 7 year warranty. Grin

Does that psu have all the required cables for two antminers though?
436  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: February 11, 2014, 07:16:04 AM
I have a power supply I bought in 2007 and I was wondering if this PSU will power two antminer at stock speeds?  Also does it have the required cables for Two antminers?  The connectors the PSU has is listed below:

Thanks

I just put my wallet.dat file into a new Bitcoin-qt installation.  It's taking quite awhile to synchronize with network.  Am I able to send my "unconfirmed" bitcoins to someone now or do I have to wait until they're confirmed?

Will only buy from people on bitmit with an established feedback history.

440  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Brand New Never Used Diablo 3 CD-Key with Escrow on: September 26, 2013, 05:48:44 PM
I'm thinking of purchasing, do you have proof that you bought the key?  Because I don't want to buy a stolen key >.>
I can run battlefield 3 with no lag, on low and medium.  Can I dun D3 then?

I think my feedback on bitmit and verified identity speaks for itself.

Only 23 hours remain in auction!  Current bid of only 19.95 and buyout of 29.95!
