421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: News: Bitcoin won't be Global Currency on: June 21, 2018, 03:02:07 PM
I got caught up in this news last 6 hours ago, most of us participants are hoping that Bitcoin will someday become a Global Currency, why is that?

Any thoughts or opinions about this?

As much as i would like bitcoin to be a world currency i really don't think this will happen. Digital currency yes. World government will not allow that and greed for power will always matter to every government. Unless they can control bitcoin this just won't happen
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does world cup Football 2018 not have any effect on crypto market. on: June 21, 2018, 02:56:22 PM
I hope during world cup football the price of bitcoin will increase. It has been started, but I see no effect. It is a big event of the world. Does it not bring any value to bitcoin.

I do not think world cup can affect bitcoin. If it will affect the price it will go down as people will be getting money to spend for watching or placing bets. But for me this will only be a little price dump as people wipp be busy watching the games

i would also have it on my phone if ever.

Do you believe Crypto Currency is changing the world?

Why do think so?
What changes crypto made?

I think crypto is an instrument to change how we transact. I think crypto can end corruption and other frauds. Imagine seeing all the transactions and tracing it to where it goes and which account receives it. Though it's mostly anonymous, but the thought of having a public ledger where all transactions can be seen is big enough to change how we transact with a lot of things.

I have a friend who was fond of using his phone. And believe me or not, my friend is a blind. I helped him install and configure the application settings to his phone. Why am I saying this? I am just wondering if YAPPADAPPADOO project has plans for the blind people to use their applications?

do you think it is possible for the blind person to take the chance of what yappadappadoo can give an opportunity for a disabled person?

I think in the meantime it will be hard for them to give a chance for the people like them to take this opportunity. Due to Yappadappadoo is not

designed for the blind people so far. I don't mean anything but I'm just telling or stating fact only.

Now a days with everything can be develop and people are bringing up innovative ideas
the possibilities are endless, i think this is not impossible to achieve.

This is not the first of its kind project , but using a coin as the fuel of the transaction is an advantage.
if this project will be succesful , Smart token can reach its potential value.

I like the concept of bringing the commodity market on blockchain, i myself do online selling before and vice versa.
the rating system is a huge plus for me it instantly gives a hint and develops trust on both sides,
when trading online trust and good service is really an issue.
Im excited about this because its also one way of spreading awareness of the cryptomarket as well and the blockchain technology too.
though there are many issues to solve first on the list is the traffic on the blockchain.

This platform is first of its kind i just hope they can use it to there advantage by implementing the mission of the company.
if there plans push thru it can solve major problems in the employment industry, the employees and the employers benefits
would be both catered. I would be delighted to support this platform and by the way impressive whitepaper.
Goodluck to the team.

434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in altcoin now? on: June 03, 2018, 11:58:37 PM
In the current dip situation, I want to put engage some of my savings into alt coins. but it is tough to me to choose the right one. Could you please help me to choose the right one which at least not push me towards FUD?

Invest in coins which has solid projects and have real use case, go for those that have already made name outside crypto and not merely pure on whitepaper yet, everything is risky so choose wisely. Do invest in the top 10 coins, it's not a big flip but it's safer than other coins if you are afraid to take risk.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can market go down now? on: June 03, 2018, 11:54:09 PM
Hey what do you think, can scenario of January repeat? I mean can everything suddenly fall again?

If there is fud and a lot of negative news coming then it is possible for market to suddenly fall down again. Crypto is very sensitive to news, a little negative news can shake off weak hands and do sell off, and a lot of others follow and causes panic.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Crypto, Any Advice? on: June 03, 2018, 03:28:17 PM
Hello, Im new to the Crypto world and wanted to hear some advice from the pro's on where to start. i havnt purchased any coins yet, but i have been using coinpot and various faucets. I was wondering if i should keep going with this or is it a waste of my time. Also they say theres no fee for converting coins, but i dont get the same conversion rate as i do on the coinmarketcap calculator. Basically id like to hear from the professionals maybe a strategy for really small trades, or that this is a waste of time and buy some coins with my hard earned money and go from there lol. and if thats the case, where to go. im in Canada by the way, if that helps.

Thanks for any help you can offer me. I hope to get more active in the forums and meet great/smart people along the way Smiley

                                                                                                                            Matt

Hey there mat. First off just try out and buy a small amount of bitcoin and read up on trading. Learn the basics and see how it goes. If you think you can prosper and make profit in trading then slowly up your investment for trading. Read, research are key to trading and most of all be patient. Goodluck!
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important is a community behind a crypto project? on: June 02, 2018, 11:51:44 PM
Hello all,

I came across this article that talks about the importance of a community backing a project, how important do you think it is? Do you think they can get by through large marketing budgets instead? and do you agree with the article?

https://medium.com/crowdholding-innovation-platform/why-do-you-need-to-build-a-loyal-community-for-crypto-projects-14b9207608c2

I believe that community plays a vital role in each project. No matter how good the project is, or how great the team is, if no one believes in them, if no community supports them, then that project will succeed. Community helps in pushing the team to do better, helps in promotion and marketing sans paying them and can save a coin from being idle too long.
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60% of world population cannot access computer so Bitcoins will fail. on: June 02, 2018, 02:52:01 PM
...compared to say u.s. dollar bills which you can hold in your hand or stuff in your mattress.

this is why bitcoins will not go mainstream because majority of human beings on this planet do not have access to a computer.

successful gold standards are things like toyota trucks, ak-47's, u.s. c-notes which thrive in places like afghanistan and africa.

I think that bitcoin will go mainstream even if 60% doesn't have access to it. Just like the internet not everybody has access to it but it is needed by everyone. And it is already mainstream. Everything is online already so digital currency is coming

440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin still a buy despite recent losses on: June 01, 2018, 05:29:45 AM
according to the news at CNBC here is why:
the coin has seen better days. After surging last December to around $19,500, bitcoin has declined more than 50 percent since the start of the year. On Thursday, amid increased regulatory scrutiny in the cryptocurrency space, the coin fell yet again — this time below $8,000, where bitcoin had hovered for several weeks. Late Friday, bitcoin changed hands around $7,400.

Regardless, Bogart(a partner at blockchain capital) said it's still a buy. In fact, he said it's the only coin traders should be buying as the coin becomes more mainstream.

Many of the other forms of cryptocurrency, Bogart said, are "over-promising and under-delivering. Meanwhile you have a few that are kind of excelling at their use cases. Bitcoin being one of them." Bogart recommended selling coins like Cardano, TRON, IOTA and NEO.

"A lot of those tokens are overvalued," Bogart said. "They could be go up significantly, but they also have significant headwind." Alternatives like ethereum, ripple, bitcoin cash and EOS, however, he described as "neutral" — and he told investors to hold for now.

what are your insights why does bitcoin still a buy in spite of all the losses?

Bitcoin is still in the growing stage where the price is still very volatile. So investing is a very good option but this is a long term investment and not a instant millionaire kind of thing. If you have patience and have the extra money then i say yes to bitcoin investment
