421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no certainty in trading on: December 25, 2020, 02:06:38 PM
I want us to understand that no mind can control or know a token direction with total certainty; which is why there are always dump (or price corrections as you may call it). The only certainty while trading crypto currency is PROBABILITIES; because in trading, at every moment there are so many different possibilities, entries and even exits; your level of interpretation will determine the one you go for and also prepare for when the market does not obey your predictions

This is why you have to be consistent in your 'right' process.
If you are talking about altcoins/token trading, i agreed there is no certainty cause they are an extremely manipulated market but if you are talking about the whole trading system (in which Bitcoin is included) then will disagree with just a little because there are some circumstances in the market that are certain example the new ATH which the market always accomplish after Bitcoin block halving.

We already see the market moves out of our expectations, even if we can make a good prediction where bitcoin or altcoin price will go in a few next hours. But suddenly, everything is changing, and make our prediction can not happen. It seems that the crypto market can be manipulated, but I do not think that the manipulation can happen every time because that will need a lot of money to move the price to the range they want.

That is why it is impossible to predict the altcoin market situation because even though the price of Bitcoin is increasing we are seeing the altcoin prices are going down. Yes, it is impossible to predict the situation in days, everything will change in a matter of minutes and we are losing the value of altcoin whether it is upward or downward.
Market manipulation don't always happen but it not completely impossible to predict the price of Bitcoin or altcoin market and what happens is that predictions are not always accurate. However, the altcoin market is going down cause the Bitcoin market hasn't reached the peak to carry the altcoin market along.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 24, 2020, 11:00:57 PM
About the  Australian Opens whilst was postponed to next year (February) i read that the Victorian government plan is to quarantine all the tournament contestants for 14 days.
Remember, Djokovic have won the tournament seven time and hes one the player to lookout for in the game.

I agree mate, I'm not sure what the playing surface will be but as its in Japan I was thinking maybe it will be hard court like most tournaments are in Asia.

Yup, it will be played on hard surface. It was announced already for the 2020 games and I'm positive they will keep the same format.

Single draw will be 64 players (both men and women), best out of 3 sets. Only men's final will be best out of 5.
Can you provide a link cause i couldnt see any details about the game even through espn.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk on Bitcoin: "Bitcoin is almost as bs as fiat money" on: December 23, 2020, 11:26:14 AM
If really His account hacked Then i think Hacker trying to sell his Bitcoin with a hype news so the BTC move higher & he can get more profit.
I dont think his Twitter account is hacked because he have been making different negative tweet about Bitcoin on twitter just to pump the price of Dogecoin (not his Bitcoin as you said) but his plan is not working and oi honestly dont know what to believe again cause I read that "Elon Musk inquired about converting “large transactions” of Tesla’s balance sheet into bitcoin in a Twitter exchange with Michael Saylor."

Elon mask will come to Crypto sooner or later cause every big investors is coming to Crypto like Microstrategy.
He already a crypto enthusiast but mostly support Dogecoin.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 23, 2020, 10:06:47 AM
OMG,  You guys were right about BitCoin price going up  Shocked Shocked Shocked  I wish I had bought in back in march   Sad
It alright cause it never too late for you to invest but I will instruct you to wait for the holidays dump price of the Bitcoin market before you invest.

I think a hardware wallet is the best, but I need advice from more experienced BitCoin experts when dealing with large amounts that BitCoin is now worth.
Hardware is one of the best wallets to keep crypto safe but you also need to read/understand how to use the wallet without exposing it to attackers and buy the wallet from an official store.

Do you guys have any suggestions on the best, most secure way to purchase and store BitCoins without getting scammed or hacked Huh
You can buy through this forum but l will instruct you to use escrow if the seller is not a green trusted member.
2) You can use centralized or p2p exchange but understand the exchange rules/faq before using it.
425  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online Poker, Pandemic, Crypto adoption on: December 23, 2020, 09:12:05 AM
Hello everyone,

Online poker traffic is growing during the covid19 pandemic. Formats like tournaments are becoming
very attractive, sites are running huge series with big prizes to win and a lot of recreational players,
beginners and traditional casino players are joining. In addition some sites added cryptocurrencies as
deposit and withdraw options.
The growth rate of the online poker/casino user is the reason why some government increased the tax rate of online gambling site and this furthermore somehow help Bitcoin to again more patronage and exposure in the institutions. But are you a poker training service cause I dont understand what you really offer in the (d) section.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 23, 2020, 08:12:27 AM
According to the information provided by the OP they are into the business back in the early days of cryptocurrency and they offer the 0 house edge to give back to the community but they don't understand the crypto world is changed and gambling enthusiasts don't believe in free money traded with an unknown coin/site that's not safe.
Yes, our money will be for them, especially if we lose so much money. They can use different approaches to attract more gamblers to come, and they can use 0 house edge for their strategy. I am sure the casino will understand that the crypto world is change and the gambler also change from time to time.
Speaking of different approaches, the casino team providing a cheap site which are the approach used by crypto scammers in the initial offering market is the first capital no for me cause if they don't have the money to have a marketable site then they don't have the money to pay the winner on their site and if they paid game winners is the coin they are going to pay with still activity or have no trading activity.
This needs to be put into consideration.

I am sure the casino can get more people to playing gambling on their site.
Yes, if they can offer good service, fairness in their game, promo, almost instantly withdraw and reasonable tx fee for withdrawals tx.

428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 22, 2020, 10:16:48 PM
I don't get it, casinos makes money through the house edge, that's the bread and butter of their business, without that they wouldn't make money. House edge has become a norms in casinos, and the competition here is the lowest house edge the more gamblers will play with them but never heard gamblers play in a casino because of no house edge, in fact gamblers might doubt if the casino is legitimate or not.

I guess they are using a different approach for monetizing website right now, and as declared by OP this is just another marketing promotion... or a way to build a community behind the site.
In this case it's not a question to be or not be legitimate casino...

This game it's very hard. Make the right prediction with too many possibilities and no hints... plus you can't have some "combo" betting like classic roulette (colors / pairs /groups of 8 etc).
Making a 0 edge but also 0 chances of winning hehehe.

Casino business over  the years even upon the memory of our grandies ,Gambling operators gain from house Edge .

Maybe those Sites are just having a different approaches but in the end?it is our Money that they will surely tale.So better look for the fair casino you'll find not some misleading one.

429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 22, 2020, 09:31:03 PM
Unless it's for a cause I will not support this match, Floyd just wants to take advantage of this mix-match to make money again, he is spending a lot of fo money and he needs a source of money to sustain his luxurious life.

This is going to be a one-sided match something similar to the one he had with a Japanese guy, even if Paul has a weight advantage, no way he can beat or even match Mayweather's skill.

Well, as much as i hate floyd for being a opportunistic capitalist. I'd like to see him beat Jake Paul instead. This two brothers are really annoying, someone has to teach them a lesson.
A good trashtalker fighter could knocked them out to reality. So maybe they could change into Jake instead of Logan.
You shouldn't expect anything slighter from the two siblings (Jake and Logan Paul), they are both Youtuber and the lover of almost the same thing. Besides, they have to do something to promote themselves so their Youtube channel will gain more traffic which is what I think they are doing mate.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 22, 2020, 08:52:23 PM
Honestly, I believe it's just speculation, not a true story.
Realistically, both Real and Barcelona are in a major crisis at the moment (specially Barcelona) and can't offer what he already has in Liverpool.
Because of the coronavirus, there is much less money available in football so big transfers are no more realistic as before.

Speculation has a way of making things real later on. I know Liverpool and Klopp will do all they can to keep Salah but as we saw with the Sterling drama and then Coutinho, they know if the player wants to leave, they will not stop them. I think most of this is just noise,,, Salah is always in the news for politics but he knows he cannot find love outside of Liverpool.
Rumors of Salah being unhappy at Liverpool are being talked about more and more, in my opinion Salah will move to Real Madrid.
The Liverpool coach seems not to be bothered by the rumors but in my opinion, I think he should be more than bother because I have a situation the media rumor led to the exit of a player. Besides, rumor news was also the reason why Messi wants to leave Barcelona some weeks ago.

Because almost
everyone knows Barcelona is in a situation of financial crisis right now, the result of Barcelona's very bad management when led by Bartomeu.
So it is very unlikely that Barcelona will be able to bring in Salah, means that Real Madrid is the only strong candidate to bring in Salah.
Yes but that doesn't mean the club will buy Salah if he decided to leave Liverpool and Salah seem to like Barcelona than Madrid cause he once claimed to be a Barcelona fan and even stop to support C.Ronaldo when he moved to Madrid after his Man United deal.
431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Merchants Now Accepting Bitcoin on: December 19, 2020, 12:26:45 PM
As much positive news about Bitcoin spreading around the world, big merchants consider participating in using Bitcoin. Moreover, there are already some established companies that accepted Bitcoin as a payment tool, it triggers more big merchants to accept Bitcoin. However, I hope it is not only about the hype but it also really makes a new improvement in the payment system. So, it becomes a solution for people to be easier doing payment transactions.

Cryptocurrency is not only a solution for people to make payment with ease but also the solution to economic breakdown and the important parties restricting crypto to be seen as a solution in the payment scheme are the banks, institutions and some governments who are now joining the crypto movement.

Hopefully this would not result to a big dump, it might disappoint people from investing again, well, if it's true that it's the institutional money getting invested, then we can be confident that it will not dump.
The big dump won't happen now but a lot of private companies and institutions that invest in crypto may manipulate the market price so we should be prepared for a terrible market dump when it total bear market next year.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: December 19, 2020, 11:49:44 AM
just hope the price of bitcoin is able to go to $ 14 !,
because this coin has been sleeping for a long time, and just woke up in Q4 2020,
even though it hasn't reached $ 1 at least XRP was able to increase 100% more in the last month
The price of Bitcoin is now at $22K-$23K range while XRP still maintains its old $0.5 price. Guys, this coin team will always make the coin sleep whenever they wanted just for their benefit.

My target is still $ 5 for XRP, because $ 14 for me is still too high to reach in the next 2-3 years,
maybe when the Bitcoin price becomes $ 100k, my XRP is sure to go to $ 14, and the question is when it will happen. Huh Huh
The $14 price predicted by the OP is impossible and the bullish price preparation shows by the XRP market seems to make the $5 price difficult for XRP maybe investors have understood that the coin is highly manipulated.

433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello in which coins are you invested in and which ICO´s do you prefer ? on: December 19, 2020, 11:13:18 AM
Hello and good morning my friends,

My question is which coins do you think are the best for 2021 ?

i am invested in ETH 25% BTC 25% Chainlink 20% Iota 20% and Polkadot 10%.
Maybe i will invest in Mindsync Ico just to try my luck =)
so what do you think ?

No matter how good an ICO project is, the team influence or the hype surround it ICO investment is an outdated investment and I will advise you to invest in IEO but we are not in the season whereby startup project investment should be a choice. It will be good if you invest your capital in existence project, stay away from DeFi project and invest most in BTC, BNB, ETH and CPI.
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non DeFi projects starts going DeFi on: December 19, 2020, 09:48:00 AM
This is what is called Hype, especially when Hype is a system,
DeFi is part of the cryptocurrency system, different to ICOs or IEOs, the DeFi hype has more impact on cryptocurrencies,
DeFi adds more impact on the cryptocurrency market but if the hype continues and the DEX not requesting for security fund from the DeFi team to prevent exit scam DeFi may cause more harm to the market.

and the result is that many projects that do not use this system and make start DeFi in it.
I can't blame the old project that started to offer DeFi elements since that is the hype a lot of crypto investors buy now.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HEX is your last chance at a 10000x crypto. on: December 19, 2020, 09:09:05 AM
I hope your right OP, I put all my savings into hex (8 bitcoin) , because I'm tired of being broke and really need to be a millionaire soon. Lets hope for the best.
You just make a terrible mistake cause you shouldn't have established your investment decision based on what you read by a high ranked member of this forum omitting investment advice from a newbie like the OP and the last time i checked HEX is not different from the hype base DEFI project.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 10 Years From Now on: December 19, 2020, 08:31:36 AM
How do you see Bitcoin 10 years from today?
I can't really say what's going to happen 10 years from now, cause no one can predict what the future holds even for people who believe in voodoo, lol, but one thing i can say for sure is that bitcoin will be widely accepted and the price will be much higher by then, this is just my own prediction, it might not work out as planned, but just look at the current price in 2020 and mass adoption rate, with more companies accepting bitcoin, no doubts the future will be awesome for bitcoin and bitcoin holders.
No one can predict what the future holds particularly in the market where it volatile in nature but the crypto market is a speculative setting. If we are talking 10 years from now i suppose the market will reach new ATH after the halving that will take place in the year 2028, i expect the market to be in a bearish stage in 10 years from now but the bearish will be different to the current market though.
437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why christmas? on: December 17, 2020, 09:09:49 PM
The first big spike was close to xmas/new year and the recent spike was the same.  Discuss?  It certainly isn't people doing their xmas shopping with bitcoin.  Is it publicity related?  Is it silk road (or equivalent) related?  Is it Chinese money giving customs related?

I think its a mere coincidence of timing.  Bitcoin isn't seasonal nor are these markets, so rationally you have to just think its a coincidence.  It is strikingly odd though that this is a great time of year to buy(sell  Wink) crypto.
You are wrong Bitcoin is seasonal, so what happens now is never a mere coincidence and this is what always happens to the Bitcoin market during the Christmas season of the year Bitcoin had it halving. Meanwhile, a market correction will also happen a few hours before Christmas so buying now if you're not a day trade is not advisable.

I agree , also exactly like we saw in 2017 summer were bitcoin dump massively , lot of whales sold their earning to enjoy a happy holiday .
the rest of fish ( newbie traders ) got stuck with the market since then and that can happen again this year ..

That's why we need to be prepared for the upcoming possibilities so that we will not get stuck again the same on what happen on the years 2017-2018. And we need to be vigilant even though the market doing good since we still need to rely on history and but hoping that the same scenario will not come and this year bitcoin will prosper to gather more huge pump since I believe if bitcoin can maintain it's current price until next year provably we will get another big adoption.
Every investor needs to be prepared for the possibility that may arise but I see the bull run market trend to continue till next year. However, the market correction will happen during the Christmas season which I believe is the last chance for investors to join the uptrend/ATH wagon until it the enormous market correction season.
438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 17, 2020, 07:42:59 PM
~snip~
Yeah and not just because they are gaining revenue but also what is the effect for those gamblers that has no self control.
When many people get addicted to gambling, that will become a serious matter to the government because it can trigger another problem. The level of crime can also increase, so the government should think much about that.
There are cases like that but I think the majority of the crimes are not related to gambling so even if the government focuses on gambling addiction, there would still be a lot of crimes that are actually bigger than gambling-related crimes happening around them. Also, not all who commits crime uses their money for gambling or any other vices. But for those who do such terrible things for gambling, that's already a result of addiction.
Crime related to gambling is out of the chart cause it only occurred when there is no rules and restrictions which casino have to pursue to customer/user that is already gambling addict and if you check all online/physical casino they have the policy to help addicted customer to gamble responsibly.

something else to take into consideration is that tourists sometimes have more disposable income and are more willing to spend when travelling abroad them people who live in the country.

anybody knows more websites where we can get reliable stats (like each industry income and revenue) on several sectors besides gambling, separate per country?
I don't think there is a site that provides such information but which sectors are you saying in particular?
439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 17, 2020, 07:07:22 PM
I've recently created a discussion about the odds of various outcomes and the gaps between the likely winner and other options, but some replies raised another questions that I believe is worthy of being discussed. When placing bets on sports, I rely heavily on the odds, especially if someone has a very high probability of winning, like here:

I placed a small bet on this match on Sportsbet.io:

But of course when the odds are close to one another (2.5, 3.1 and similar), I try to rely on the history of matches between the teams and recent wins/losses of the teams.
What do you follow when you are betting on sports: is it the odds or your knowledge and experience?
Following the odds rendered by the booker when placing a bet on sports seem unfair from my perspective, sometime the booker rendered odds in favor of the team that won't win the game. Having said that, this is something that has to do with money, and relying on my conclusion on the house will only make one of those lazy crypto investors that invest base on hype.

Do odds even matter to you? If yes, how important are they for your final decision?
Odds matter to me but i dont use it to judge my finall decision.
