yes i guess i got lucky on my 1gb vps or it already had a swap or as a matter of fact i maybe dont even run my compiled build haha
i tried to compile it on another 1gb vps and it didnt work.
now there are some working guides, check the website.
i need to grab some more coin for another node and report back with the proper instructions and hopefully a working binary as it makes things alot easier. (try the arcticcoin guide by me)

truckman, i hope you can provide us with linux binary soon.

for people still wondering if they should get involved:
DAS masternode is currently $130 and 3 Month old.
DASH masternode is currently $200.000 and 3 years old. (data might be inaccurate :p)

get involved, setup masternode and build a strong coin with good returns on investment.
good luck w149/05

Hi,

at first thank's you for the tutorial !

Now i want to setup more DAS mn. I have chosen the remote controle solution on a linux VPS ! How can i proceed for add more masternode on the same vps ?

you can add more masternodes to your cold wallet. not your vps. you do need a new ip. you maybe can add ips to your vps and reroute everything with iptables.
but i dont yet know how to do it. you could add another coin to your first vps to maximise its gain. if you want to setup masternodes for the same coin you do have to get another 1000 coins and a new vps.

ok guys here is why i hold my sigt and also why you should do it too.
i dont know all the awnsers, i have alot of questions that even i dont know.
like, why was there ever any value in sigt, why was mining profitable,
why does it have this hugh market cap and trading volume.
maybe the awnsers lie in this thread,
ill follow it into the future but ill not take a look at the past.

the present gives us the idea about the comming events in the next couple of years

and here is what you are ACTUALLY doing - and fooling everyone into thinking that they are 'donating' ...

i am sorry but i did donate.
i donated virtual money and got a nice virtual present in return.
bending the rules is not breaking the rules.
if he doesnt "break your law" here he can do it everywhere else.
but he is not. he is asking for donations for a private unreleased version of an open source miner.
well yeah, we all know thats not true, but dont hate the player, hate the game.
he got something everybody wants. why would he give it to you.
he is not obligated to help the community, but still he does.
maybe not in a way you would approve, but still donators are happy.

427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: August 09, 2017, 12:55:59 PM
does he need to open source it? no, he doesnt even have to provide us with updates or as a matter of fact some binary at all.
if it was about the money he would go to some china farm or btc whale and collect 1000btc from just one company with enough hashing power to roi in a couple of weeks

now is it the best thing to do? or the right thing to do?! arguing about it wont matter.
sp_ donators are very happy with their donation and all the service they get.

it still a long way untill we all work together.

428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: August 09, 2017, 12:55:36 PM
sp_ why don't you just start your own self-moderated thread? I am sick of reading through looking for updates and tips/tricks and seeing people shitting on your obviously superior work and being all butthurt about it.

To those who keep crying about his work: how about you produce a faster binary than his (with an included fee) and everyone will happily switch to it and you'll make a ton of money?

i would say well said, but you have to think about the other side.
without the open source version sp_ mod wouldnt exsist.
i love open source and im all for it.
i wish i could code but each time i try to learn my brain explodes.
in a perfect world we would all work together and release everything opensource so we can advance from each other.
but all we do is fight and compromise each others work.

now we have a binary that really is superior to most others out there and if sp_ chooses to collect a really minor donation so i can enjoy this advantage.

Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up a MN on a VPS server with my DAS on a windows wallet. I'm following the guides there, but every time I get to the "make" command, I get an error saying it could not allocate memory. The VPS I'm running it on has 1Gb of memory. Does anyone have a solution to this? Thanks!

Before i had the same problem. Make this tutorial : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-add-swap-space-on-ubuntu-16-04

2Gb swap file is working !

yes i guess i got lucky on my 1gb vps or it already had a swap or as a matter of fact i maybe dont even run my compiled build haha

I use same settings on mod 3 and mod 5. Mod 5 restart every 10-15 min, and mod 3 is working perfectly.

Mod 5 is using a little bit more power than #3 so you need to increase the TDP to get the most out of it. You also need to make sure that your risers can handle the power increase.

yeah i went from 1500w to 1700w with 2 rigs, but only like 10mh more on pool :/ i wonder if i should get back to #3
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: August 09, 2017, 08:44:04 AM
guys, chill out.
if you cannot afford the 0.05 btc then gtfo.
why would sp_ need to waste time trying to feed the cheap trolls with data and explanations.

alexis thank you very much for your work,
from what i understand you would like to know how sp_ managed to get the miner as fast as he got.
and you dont like that he doesnt release his updates open source.

does it really matter where the base of the code came from?
i did this i did that.
if sp_ would only copy paste someone elses work, why is no other miner as fast?!
i mean, there should be others with these speed ups.

well what im trying to say it. everybody keep on working. stop fuc'ing around.

432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Arctic Coin (ARC), No premine, Evolution over 1 year on: August 08, 2017, 06:11:41 PM
this is interresting, my 2nd goldminenode status is this:

Code:
"status": "Not capable goldminenode: Broadcasted IP doesn't match our external address. Make sure you issued a new broadcast if IP of this goldminenode changed recently."

my wallets goldminenode.conf does have the 2nd ip.
the goldminenode tab in wallet shows the 2nd goldminenode with the first goldminenode - ip as enabled.

433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Arctic Coin (ARC), No premine, Evolution over 1 year on: August 08, 2017, 05:54:12 PM

I was under the impression that one could run multiple goldmines in 1 wallet? Was i wrong?

Im getting expired or pose_ban on any additional mines after the first one?

Any tips?

Only 1 node per IP, as MN only run on port 7209.
You can control several MN from one single wallet, though.

how exaclty can we do this?
i tried to setup a 2nd masternode with the same wallet. (the same 1000 arc)
but it doesnt seem to work.

do i have to create a new address 0 and send another 1000 ARC to it and generate a new goldminenode key?
i think ive read somewhere that arc only needs 1000 one time. i can be wrong. it would also make more sense xD

the way to use multiple masternodes with one wallet is very nicely described here

my masternode guide for arc is working fine, exept maybe with ufw you could run into trouble, i suggest everybody setup some nodes while the price is cheap. current price for 1 masternode is currently only $60! dont miss this opportinuity, it may never be as cheap again.

you can see you estimated payouts here

@sp_

skunk#5 reduced my hashrate, using latest drivers i get 180mh on 1 rig
skunk#3 does 182-186mh with the same settings.

yiimp.ccminer gets less hash than hashbag

i noticed in afterburner "temp. limit" does change the hashrate alot.

OK, Please forgive me for being a complete noob, I just want to make sure get this all right.

Inside the .das/das.conf file

rpcuser=   <What do I put here? The username of my pi user? Anything I want? A windows user?> #it doesnt matter. whatever
rpcpassword=  <Same here> #same here
rpcallowip=  <What Exactly is this?> #this is the ip address which is able to connect via rpc, only local ip is 127.0.0.1[/color]
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
staking=0   <Does this need to stay 0?> #yes because if coins get stakes you cannot use them, masternode always needs 1000 coins. so dont stake your 1000 coins, stake them elsewhere is you want to stake.

masternode=1
externalip=<YOUR_PUBLIC_VPS_IP_ADDRESS>:9399     <I saw in the steemit page they had a seperate line "rpcport=9399". Assuming ifI use this method I don't need that line now?> #correct

masternodeprivkey=<YOUR_MASTERNODEKEY>    <What key exactly? The one from the "masternode genkey" command?> #exactly

Then back on my windows machine inside the masternode.conf file

Code:
<MASTERNODENAME-ALIAS> <YOUR_PUBLIC_VPS_IP_ADDRESS>:9399 <YOUR_MASTERNODEKEY> <YOUR_TRANSACTION_ID> <IDX>

This file contains just a single uncommented line that has a 0 in it. I assume I comment that out first?
The IP address would be my static IP?
Masternode key? Is this from the "masternode genkey" command?
Transaction id? What is this?
IDX? I assume this is for if I have more than one masternode? I could just number them 1,2,3 etc.. or would it start at 0?
Also the privkey command I ran to grab my private key. Does that need to go anywhere?

#no in the beginning of the tutorial you did masternode genkey and masternode output.
masternode output gave you your transactions id and IDX number.
its all in the tutorial.

437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Virta Unique Coin Launch on: August 07, 2017, 01:18:30 PM
i dont know, anti theft for ransomware?
do you think these ransomware guys gonna accept VUC?
how would shops like it if i pay my new surface and cancel the transaction?

the only way anti theft feature would be good if you private key on your hardware paper got stolen.
but it should never be anywhere near a thief. keep it safe and you dont have to worry about anti theft.
store it in an airgapped, offline computer, use offline cellphone if you want to keep it small and simple.
but keep in mind old cellphones may loose your data so back it all up.

i dont see any application for this unique coin.

yeah it takes some time

configure: WARNING: Qt dependencies not found; das-qt frontend will not be built
checking whether to build Das Core GUI... no (Qt5)
configure: error: No working boost sleep implementation found.

anyone has the same error ?

the QT wallet is not needed on VPS, not sure about the "boost" error
try to add more dependencies:

Code:
apt-get install -y build-essential software-properties-common autoconf libssl-dev libboost-dev libboost-chrono-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-test-dev libboost-thread-dev sudo automake git

i also put them in the tutorial now

./dasd:  line 7:  syntax error near unexpected token 'newline'
./dasd:  line 7:  `<!DOCTYPE html>'

i had the same error in the beginning... hmm.. if i only remember how i fixxed it.

are you sure that you launched with "./dasd -daemon"
and not "./dasd" only

i believe that gave me the error.

you can try to add the dependencies from next post.

and check if the config folder got created:
Code:
cd /home/das/.das/
ls
there should be many files inside. also the das.conf
