4201  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How much data can the blockchain store? on: October 15, 2014, 09:55:21 PM
There is currently a 1MB cap on block size.
So around 1000-25000 transactions at current sizes?

4203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Circle be doing any prime time Television Ad? Here's why they must on: September 30, 2014, 07:23:05 PM

....more work needs to be done to make bitcoin practical for average joe to buy rent/groceries(real lifestyle )
PLEASE will people stop thinking that advertising is needed for user adoption purely for a price rise, and think more about bitcoin adoption due to usability and desire to actually want bitcoin.

Average joes use western union all the time. Fact. We don't have to wait for piggly wiggles to come on board. Come on. And please stop being so against advertising. we need PR! Urgent! I promise you it will make a difference.
Advert for coca cola = instant desire to actually want coca cola...

You were saying..??

The thing is bitcoin is not attractive to the "average joe". We need to make it attractive!
4204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which mining do you prefer? Cloud mining or Hardware Mining? on: September 30, 2014, 07:21:52 PM
Cloud is much cheaper but you must trust the producer.
4205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN Core(QT): It takes ages to synchronize wallet on: September 30, 2014, 07:21:33 PM
I prefer an online wallet! No sync buuut you risk having your coins stolen if you aren't careful!
4206  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just found this on my computer... on: September 30, 2014, 07:19:22 PM

4207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoiners better people than the current rich? on: September 30, 2014, 07:18:15 PM
The distribution on wealth in the bitcoin economy is even worse than the current fiat problem! Even less than 1% own a massive part of bitcoin.
4208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why consumers are not adopting BTC on: September 30, 2014, 07:17:29 PM
The question would very quickly become - why transact in fiat ?

The exact same reason why ordinary people aren't interested in adopting bitcoin, despite the merchant acceptance.

merchant acceptance is still quite low. It can grow ten fold easily.

4210  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: September 29, 2014, 08:14:33 PM
I just try in hope I can get loan with small amount and I'll get money transfer from my mom this week so i can buy bitcoin and paid early. Big thank you if you can lend me big amount of bitcoin because I have a plan for invest at cloud mining and I already calculate everything, I would like to loan about 20 BTC to 50 BTC, repayment about 1.5 year with 5% to 10% interest, per month installment.

I've already replied to all your requests just a few posts ago, however your persistency has paid off. I'll give you the minimum you've requested, 20 btc. Mining has terrible ROI, so feel free to pay it back in 5 years (although I'd appreciate it if you can repay sooner), but make sure you earn a lot of profit first. Make your mom proud.

Here is your 20btc loan, let me know when everything is ok:

If the price of 1 bitcoin increases or decreases, will we still get the silver wallet loaded with 0.2?

*Is it loaded? Or do we just get the silver wallet?

4217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Reddit] College student receives 0.38 bitcoin by holding up a "Send Bitcoins" on: September 28, 2014, 07:36:15 PM
How integral to bitcoin will qr codes ultimately be?

Hopefully NFC is used in certain circumstances like paying a merchant because it is much quicker than scanning a qr code.

You mean like a tap and go system? That would be great but would rely on credit card owners (centralisation)
4218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So which one of you got on ESPN yesterday? on: September 28, 2014, 07:35:15 PM
I sent him 0.001 for helping to spread BTC awareness

Cmon folks - if we want bitcoin to get more exposure, we are going to have to pay these guys better.  .6 is not enough.  Please be a little more generous and send this guy a $10 at least to make it worth their while.  Then more guys will try.  Then more reporters will talk about it.  Then more people will understand bitocin.  Then your value will go up.  It is like paying yourself!!  Do it now.  Double down and send another payment to make up for your cheap ass first payment.

Seriously? Don't send him a cent. He didn't do anything, just hold up a sign! No one will hear more about bitcoin if I donated 10btc.

Adding now, thank you for telling me.

I hope pocketdice.io accepts me. Maybe add an asterisk.
Add an asterisk for what exactly? Not answering you quickly enough?

Well quite a few people aren't getting payouts.
Edit - didnt realise an asterisk means experiencing problems. Only add one next week if they dont pay everyone.
